L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner

Summary: L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I have wavy relaxed hair. Like most curly hair people, I had no idea what to do with my hair practically for the entire life. I used to envy straight hair people whose hair required minimum effort to stay in their best. On the other hand, my hair looked rough and unruly even after a deep conditioning treatment or costly salon spa. After hours and hours of research on the web, now I have come to an understanding with my hair. I no longer try to straighten my hair by rigorous combing. I shifted to accepting my hair’s natural type and believe me, my hair is now better than ever. My hair gets dry and damaged easily so I only keep nourishing hair products. Today I am going to talk about my current go to hair care, the L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner.

Packaging

L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish shampoo and conditioner comes in tall sleek bottles. These are squeeze bottles with flip open cap. Keeping up with the theme color, both the shampoo and conditioner bottle have yellow ochre color and their caps are brown and black. The shampoo holds liquid product so its bottle is designed upright. But, the conditioner bottle contains thick and heavy product which might not come out easily when half the bottle is over. So, this conditioner bottle sits on its cap. I like how L’Oreal solved a major issue of product wastage in such a simple manner.

Texture

L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Shampoo– The shampoo is pale yellow in color with slight pearly sheen to it. The texture is medium; neither thick nor the typical runny texture. The formula has sulphate. Naturally, there will be lather when you apply it on the wet hair and rub. The shampoo  is creamy and does not over dry. Still, I need a good conditioner to seal the moisture to my hair.

L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Conditioner– Just like the shampoo the conditioner is also has pale yellow tone to it but it looks off-white when poured out in small quantity. This is a very thick and creamy formula. The formula is so dense that you need only a small amount for each use. The oil enriched formula applies to the hair evenly and makes the hair feel nourished.

Fragrance

Both the shampoo and conditioner have similar floral fragrance. The conditioner smells a little bit sweeter than the hair wash. The smell feels sweet and gets rid of sweaty odor from my scalp. My hair smell good though the day. The fragrance does not stay on the second or third day of hair wash though.

My Take on L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner

About The Products
About The Products

Most curly hair products are out of my reach because of their high price tags. So, I got myself this L’Oreal hair care range which targets dry and dull hair. I follow a simple hair care routine.  I do heavy oiling with pure coconut oil twice a week. And, I use this Oil Nourish shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair on the following day. The shampoo cleanses my scalp and hair without ripping off the natural moisture balance. I need 2 applications to cleanse the coconut oil reside though. The conditioner works hand in hand with the shampoo and balances out the dryness caused by it.

The conditioner is great in terms of quick moisturization. Due to time constraints, I keep it on my hair for 2-3 minutes but still it makes my hair soft to touch and tamed. This hair range is not free from sulphates and parabens. But, for my hair it is working nicely. I haven’t noticed excess hair fall or any scalp irritation after using this. So, I am going to continue with this without disrupting my current hair routine.

Rating- 4/5

If you are looking for a deep conditioning hair care range for seriously dry and brittle hair in the budget-friendly range, do give the L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner range a try. Let me remind you, it’s not a silicone free hair care range. The formula is milder and paraben free. If you are to buy only one product from the range, go for the conditioner. It manages frizzy hair quite well, prevents hair breakage and split end.

I have been a GK and The Body Shop fan all throughout. But your review sounds promising. Have to try Loreal.
