I Dumped Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream, And Here’s Is Why!

Lakme 9 to 5 Complexion Care CC cream, felt like first love, like morning dew on green grass. I never realized, I would be ever saying this, but yes, something better has replaced this CC cream in my vanity. My oily skin found a better moisturizing and coverage companion in Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale CC Cream. This latest launch weaned me off from the former. I see myself not reaching for the classic version of Lakme CC Cream anymore.

Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale CC Cream

Enriched with Aloe Vera, this CC Cream would moisturize and protect your skin from the harmful city pollution while covering slight imperfections from your skin.  It blends into your skin giving a natural finish without feeling oily or sticky. Imparts a glow and counters dullness. SPF 30 PA++ protects skin form sun damage. Flaunt a moisturized, healthy and glowing skin with this improved version of CC Cream.

Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale CC Cream Shades

Honey: Since only two shades are available, I went for Honey and it’s a perfect match for my wheatish skin. It has true yellow undertone. The CC cream adapts to the skin tone, and the Honey shade will suit fair and light complexions too.

The Naturale version do not leave any white cast as the classic version used to. Hence the finish is more closer to the skin tone.

Bronze : Bronze shades seems good match for dark and dusky skin tones. If you lie in between, you should grab both the shades, mix them and create an in between shade.

Fragrance & Texture

If you have loved the texture of Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream then, you would admire the texture of Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale CC cream too. It’s fine, smooth and blend-able. Actually better than the former. The classic CC Cream is thicker in texture, while the Naturale version is ultra blend-able. There is no oiliness or greasiness in the texture. The classic version has more powder or tint, while the Naturale version is water based.

Fragrance wise, I would again prefer the Naturale CC Cream. It’s sweet, mild and pleasing. While the classic version had quite cosmetic scent.

Coverage

CC creams are known to provide good coverage, nit like a foundation, but they still do a good job in concealing minor imperfections. One of the reason to love Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream was the fact that, it concealed my acne marks to a great extent. Coming to the Naturale version, yes, it has got yellow tint. It covers minor imperfections, not to the level the classic version could, but it’s still good. You can wear this CC Cream to college and office as it evens out skin tone very well without looking ashy or overdone.

Finish

One of the bets thing about this CC cream is it’s natural finish. It does not look overly matte, it gives that perfect soft matte finish you ever desired. The matte finish stays for 3-4 hours. It does not give white cast so the finish is beautiful. By the way, I have been using The Ordinary Zinc + Niacinamide Lotion which might be keeping my skin fresh for longer.

Lakme 9 To 5 Naturale CC Cream in Honey is my current favorite and go to CC cream. Specially for this cold season when my oily skin too needs moisture. This CC cream has yellow undertones suitable for light to wheatish skin tone. The CC gives a natural finish without white cast. It also provides protection against sun damage. Being affordable is another reason to keep it in my vanity.

 

So, it’s clear, Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream stand no chance against the Naturale version. If you too are looking for a nice CC Cream with some coverage and sun protection give it a try.
