SUGAR Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor in 15 Fleece Fuchsia is my first from the range. After using the Smudge Me Not range, I thought it would be same thing. But let me tell you, girls, it’s not. It’s more lightweight, less sticky and lasts longer than the smudge me not range.

I received SUGAR Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor, in my April 2019 Fab Bag. I chose Fleece Fuchsia because I loved how SUGAR describes this shade – “You just want his attention, you don’t want his heart”. They call it legendary. I think they are right. The shade is definitely charismatic. It’s a Fuchsia with deep tint.

Fleece Fuchsia

This is one of the deepest Fuchsia shade I ever tried. I find it quite close to SUGAR Smudge Me Not Rethink Pink, which is again Fuchsia, but Fleece Fuschia is deeper and beautiful. The shade is very wearable if you want to instantly glam up. The shade is suitable for fair to medium skin tones including wheatish skin tones.

Packaging

This, Made In Italy lip color, comes packed in a transparent tube with a sleek applicator. Shade name and number are mentioned at the bottom of the tube.  The applicator is soft on lips and picks really nice amount of color form the tube. The opening of the tube is quite narrow and every single time I push the applicator back into the tube, some of the product gets deposited at the mouth of the tube. Have to clean it every single time I open the tube.

The lip color comes packed in a sleek card-box mentioning all the details of the product.

Texture & Pigmentation of SUGAR Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor

Pigmentation is always top notch whenever we talk about SUGAR makeup. Be it a lip color, liner or nail lacquer. This range of lip color too comes with rich formula that gives opaque color in one swipe. No complains regarding the pigmentation.

Texture is bit thick yet workable since the pigmentation is quite high.

One thing I would like to mention that the formula is not as quick dry nor transfer proof as SUGAR claims it to be. It does feel sticky within first few minutes and transfers badly if any I am sipping on to something. It’s a basic nature of a liquid lipstick. Since it’s highly pigmented, the transfer is inevitable.

I must say, the formula is indeed lightweight once it’s dry, when compared to the other liquid lipsticks that I have tried. I find it’s formula is very much like Makeup Studio liquid lipstick which is my another favorite brand for makeup.

Finish & Longevity

I have worn it all day long. It does not go away. It just won’t leave. The matte you always wanted on your lips, SUGAR Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor, is good to go for those events where you have more important thing to look after than your bleeding or fading lipstick. The lipstick does not dry out lips on it’s own, but I always wear a clear lip balm beneath.

I am really loving the shade Fleece Fuchsia and hope to hoard more from the range as the entire range is very beautiful. I might get a nude shade as summer calls for.

SUGAR Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor 15 Fleece Fuchsia is a highly pigmented, long stay , matte liquid lipstick. It sets major goals to liquid lipsticks out there. All day long comfortable wear is guaranteed if you can overlook the initial few minutes where it transfers or feel bit tacky. Once set, the lipstick feels very lightweight and looks very plush. The price is bit steep, but worth the experience.
