Maybelline Clearsmooth All In One BB cream in 2 shades- 01 Fresh and 02 Natural is what I am going to talk about today. It has been launched by Maybelline very recently. And I have been testing these cute little tubes. BB and CC creams have become part vanity. They are perfect for light coverage, some moisture and sun protection. So how does Maybelline BB cream holds up to it’s claims given that it’s quite affordable. Let’s find out.

Packaging
Maybelline clear smooth bB cream comes in small tube with black lid. Product features, ingredients, directions to use the product and other information is printed on the tube. The tube is very tiny so that you can carry in your handbag. The quality of packaging is sturdy.

The BB cream has been launched in only 2 shades. That’s a shame. Maybelline Fit Me foundation range is very nice, and all they come up with just 2 shades for such a diverse nation. Hope they come up with more shades very soon.
01 Fresh: Is the lightest shade with pink undertones. It literally looks white when you first apply it. Only light-fair skin can handle this shade.
02 Natural : This is a warm shade. It has peach/yellow undertones. It’s suitable for wheatish-medium skin tones. THis shade is close to Lakme CC Cream in Beige (the lightest they offer).
Unfortunately, there are no dark shades.
Fragrance & Texture
Maybelline cosmetics always smell quite chemically. And so do these bb creams. They smell almost like the Fit Me range foundations. Not a fan of the fragrance.
Texture wise, the beauties are very workable. The gel-cream type texture is lightweight and sets fast. There is no sticky or oily feeling after application.
Coverage & Finish
A BB cream does not provide much coverage. It’s basic function is to provide moisture, and some sun protection. It can only even out skin tone. The new launch from Maybelline, also fits the bill. It offers very light coverage. It evens out skin tone.

It’s a light weight BB cream, sets matte. Keeps my skin matte for 2-3 hours and then I start getting oil on my T-Zone. There is no white cast or weird shades, rather it blends into my skin, bringing a glowy complexion. It does not feel like I am even wearing any thing. That’s a good thing for sure.

Maybelline Clearsmooth All in 1 BB Cream is lightweight, gel cream consistency, BB cream, available in 2 shades. The formula is breathable, evens out skin tone. Does not make skin sweat or oily. Keeps skin fresh and matte for 2-3 hours. The tubes are travel friendly and affordable. Hope Maybelline works on the shade range pretty soon.
How do you feel when a promising product does not offer your shade? I feel cheated and so must be the dusky beauties out there who wants to use this product. Are they testing the waters by introducing limited shade range?
