Let’s Talk Lingerie : Few Of My Favorite Styles

Your lingerie, is closest to your body, supporting it, caressing it and loving it, every second of your life.

Over a span of 15 years, my lingerie choices have evolved. I am no more a teenage girl who would wear whatever her mama bought for her. Now, I am more comfortable in what I am wearing underneath my clothes. It’s important for me to feel as good about my lingerie as I want to feel about my other clothes. A piece that does not make me feel good, I am never wearing it again. I believe a beautiful piece of under garment really boosts your confidence. It increases your self love multi folds.

My lingerie collection does not belong to a specific brand. I don’t own a single piece from Victoria Secret, and that has never bothered me. Because I have found my style in much cheaper brands. The costliest in my lingerie section is a shape wear while the cheapest is a bikini top from a flea market. It’s all about the fabric, the style and the fit, and never about the brand.

My Favorite Lingerie Pieces

Here are some of my favorite lingerie pieces from my closet, that can cheer me up on a gloomy day. Hint: Lace-y stuff tops my list.

The Strapless Saga

Strap less bras, are must haves, but they are too tricky to pick up. A strap less bra must be as supportive as a regular bra. It should hold your tits in place.It would be a night mare otherwise. I am very cautious while I choose mine. generally go with basic shades, a beige, a black and a white to go underneath almost every dress or top that requires wearing a strap less bra.

My most favorite, is of course, this lace-y piece from Amantè. I feel gorgeous and love to stare myself in the mirror while wearing only this piece. The fit is amazing, gives a luxe feel and I find myself reaching for this most of the time. The style, underwired push-up, is one of the most sought after style for ladies post breastfeeding. I prefer this style over non wired, specially whenever going for strap less bra for the obvious reasons.

Bralette Does It All

Either it’s a strap less for a clean look or a bralette for a, ‘I know and I don’t care’ look. I just can’t seem to shake of my love for the all lace-y sexy designs. A bralette is a delicate yet powerful piece as it can make you feel all sexy and glam-ed up instantly. And don’t get me started on the comfort level. It does not even look weird when the bralette straps show up on your sculpted shoulders , ahha, how charming that looks.

This classic black bralette is my first and my most favorite of all the 6 designs that I have. I wear it under deep V necks. While, I wore the other piece many times on my vacation in Thailand, as it covers it all. Looked really great with a pair of shorts. Sometimes, I wore a see through shrug over it. And it was an effortless styling.

Shape Of Me

A shapewear? hell yeah. I might wear one in a hundred days, but yes, I love to hoard them all. I have all kind of shapewears as I could find around. What I wear the most? A simple high rise panty style shape wear that helps me with the loose skin around my stomach. In general, I find this style is most comfortable to wear. A griddle is the most uncomfortable style I ever wore. They really cling tight and I find hard to breath.

Here, I am showing my most worn shape wears. Both of them are high rise panty style. These two basic colors, goes under every single item I own.

Apart from the gorgeous bras, I love this black camisole a lot. There are many reasons for it. It has bit of lace detailing, fits beautifully, has the perfect length and last but not the least it’s black. It goes beautifully under my blazers and shrugs.

 

So, these were all the things, that make me love myself more, make me recite a poem for myself, and helps me look my best. So girls, choosing the right under is as important as putting together your outfit. Signing off for the day. Much Love.
