Glimpse Of My Weekend Trip To Rishikesh

Hi there.

This was a different kind of experience. I had never stayed in camps/tents… though I always wanted to do that. So finally when my SIL proposed a weekend trip to Rishikesh and that too with a stay in tents, I said yes. I was bit dicey about the cold nights in the tent with my 2 and half year toddler, I still took my chances.

We stayed at a river side beach camp in Shivpuri. They have named the camps/tents on the names of rivers of India like Mahanandi, Ganga, Yamuna etc. I liked this naming system. It’s very logical.random 5

The beach camp was situated just beside the river, downhill. To get to the tents we had to take the long trail of stairs. It was fun while getting down, but going up was a task. We literally had to take many stops before reaching the main road above the hill.

Food was nothing exceptional, or had much variety but we didn’t go there for food, we went there to be close to the nature , to be close to the river. We had great time at the beach. My son was flapping his feet in the water while my hubby took a quick swim in the cold water of the river after playing a session of volleyball on the sandy beach.

That’s all folks. I don’t have any makeup looks for you, since there was not a single mirror in the tents, and all I had with me was a compact mirror.

XOXO
