Wearing red lipstick on a dull day can really change the game. There are various shades of red and most of them are suitable for every skin tone. So you can try any shade of red, a bright one, a deep red, or a subtle red, depending upon your mood. In my tryst with red lipsticks, I came across Bella Voste Sheer Creme Lust Lipstick in Warm Tan which is a beautiful red. It is moisturizing yet gives a soft matte finish. I received this lipstick in one of my fab bag subscriptions. So let’s go ahead with the review of this lipstick.

Packaging

The lipstick comes in an all-black packaging with silver interiors. The packaging is simple and sturdy. The outer packaging which is a black carton contains all the product information. The packaging of the lipstick is very classy. I love all the Black-With-Metal packaging.

Shade – Warm Tan 27

This is a very beautiful true red. It has warm undertones hence will suit all skin tones. This kind of red is a universal red.

Tip To Pick A Shade:  Whenever you are not sure about choosing a shade, go for warm undertones, and it will definitely work for you.

Fragrance & Texture

It has a mild chocolaty sweet smell. I am really awed with the texture of this lipstick. It is ultra-creamy and insanely moisturizes my lips but also transfers initially. It glides on the lips very smoothly, like buttery smooth.

Tip To Prevent Transfer: Blot your lips once you have applied your lipstick. This way the excess amount will be blotted and won’t get transferred whenever you drink or eat something.

Pigmentation

Pigmentation of the lipstick is again amazing. It gives a very nice color with one stroke. But I keep on gliding it over my lips because I just love how it feels on my lips. It gives a luxurious feeling.

Finish

Because the texture of the lipstick is creamy, the finish is satin-smooth. So ideally you can get a soft matte finish if you blot your lips lightly.

I usually do not wear a lip liner. This lipstick does not bleed. It stays intact despite being rich and creamy.

Longevity

The staying power of the lipstick is average. It stays on my lips for 3-4 hours despite transferring. Later there is a nice red tint over my lips. I feel its performance is the same as Maybelline Colorshow Matte Bole Crimson.

Tip To Improve Staying Power: Even though this lipstick is very pigmented, so it stays for some time. Some lipsticks are too volatile and they just wipe off within the first hour of application. Always blot and reapply your lipstick several times, to create multiple layers of the lipstick on your lips. Your lips would be perfectly tinted in a minimum of 2 blots. Your lipstick will stay for longer.

Summary

I feel for the price we pay there are better lipsticks. But I just love the color & pigmentation that this lipstick gives. It is insanely pigmented. Does not dry out lips or accentuate fine lines. The satin finish that it gives is beautiful. The shade is perfect for all skin types. For the upcoming festive season, this lipstick is going to serve me very well.
