5 Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipstick – Summer Favorite

Here come some little pretty classic bullet lipsticks from Nykaa. I grabbed few shades of Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipsticks a couple of months back and here I am to serenade you with these beautiful matte lipsticks. I feel summer is the best season to flaunt matte and nude lips. So in order to satisfy my obsession with peach lips, I got summery shades including – Devious Pink, Racy Rose, Bare Minimum, Totes Natural, Cinnamon Crunch. Not to forget the affordability of these minis. They are selling for about 200 bucks so it’s like not burning a hole in my pocket in case I buy more. Why I Prefer mini Version of Nykaa Lipsticks? I am never able to finish a lipstick entirely. I mostly grow out of love (btw really loved this series) or would find my solace in some other shade. It’s a great thing that Nykaa mostly comes up with their mini versions of lipsticks, this way it’s light on the pocket too. Mini versions are like testers, so you can decide if the range and shade are good for you or not. Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipstick Nykaa is back with another range of beautiful lipsticks, this time in a bullet. Nykaa So Matte lipstick range gives you one stroke opaque and matte finish. The formula is creamy and comfortable on lips for long wear. Available in 20 beautiful colors, every skin tone would find her match. Price Rs. 199 for 1.5gms. I feel this is a decent size for a mini lipstick. I have used the Seduction Mini Lipsticks, and they were really tiny and fragile. I had to handle them with utmost care. Availability Available at Nykaa, Amazon. Packaging Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipsticks are packed in a sturdy black rectangular case. The packaging is really of good quality and strong. Shade number is printed on the bottom of every lipstick. The outer packaging is pink colored. That is also very sturdy and of good quality. glad that with great product Nykaa managed to provide a good packaging of the product too. Being very compact in size, it is very easy to travel with these lippies in your purse or even in your pocket. Shades For lipsticks, its the shade that matters the most, and here I am with a complete overview of the shades that I have with me currently. Nykaa So Matte Lipstick – 03 Devious Pink A warm-toned deep pink that is suitable for all Indian skin tones. Warm shades look flattering on everyone. The rich formula gives a sheen to lips, so the finish comes out to be soft matte. This kind of pink is very apt for those days when you do not want to go overboard with your makeup even your lips. Nykaa So Matte Lipstick – 04 Dusky Rose I must say they have quite repetitive shades. Dusky rose is a bit lighter than the Devious Pink. It’s another pink shade that would look good on most of the skin tones. It’s like my everyday pink lipstick. I have a wheatish skin tone, so pink looks quite flattering on me. As compared to the Devious Pink, Dusky Rose gives a matte finish. Nykaa So Matte Lipstick – 47 Bare Minimum I expected Bare Minimum to be a peachy shade, but it’s another pink from the trail. This is lighter than the Dusky Rose. So now you know the drill. The lower you go in the segment, the lighter the shade goes. I find it to be on a cooler side. But it won’t wash out your complexion. From Fair to medium skin tones, this shade is going to work alright. Nykaa So Matte Lipstick – 48 Totes Natural Finally comes a pure peach shade to accompany my smokey eye nights. Yes, it’s pure peach and you can’t find a hint of pink in this shade. I generally used to steer clear of such shades, but this summer, these shades have been suiting me so well. A pure peach is like the natural color of my lips. So it definitely goes on my wheatish skin tone. Dusky skin tones, might not like it that much though. Nykaa So Matte Lipstick – 50 Cinnamon Crunch HOnestly, Cinnamon Crunch looks kind of repetition of Totes Natural. It’ so hard to tell the difference. They look like the same shade under different names. I don’t know why some brands do this. Just because you must have a wide range, you are not supposed to repeat the colors. Are you? So Unless I check the bottom of the lipstick, I can’t tell if I am going to wear Cinnamon Crunch or Totes Natural. Formula, Texture & Pigmentation Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipsticks have a beautiful, rich, and creamy formula. They keep lips moisturized as long as they are on lips which is quite a fair amount of time. The pigmentation of these lipsticks is definitely on a good side. One swipe is all you need even though I am never satisfied with just one swipe. I anyway wear 2-3 coats, so the lipstick stays for long. But with one swipe you can definitely tell the exact shade. Being rich in texture, the lipsticks definitely are great in color pay off. Finish You can expect a soft matte to a matte finish with Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipsticks. The rich formula sometimes leaves a bit of sheen on my lips. I can bloat it off, or can wear it as it is depending upon the finish I am looking for. Longevity Being rich in texture, the lipsticks do transfer in case I do not bloat the creaminess already. At max, the lipsticks have stayed for 3-4 hours on my lips. Thep ink ones stay for longer as compared to the peachy ones. It’s quite an obvious thing. Dark pigments stay for long as compared to the lighter ones. Recommended? I definitely recommend Nykaa SO Matte Lipsticks. You can go for the mini version as well as the regular version depending upon your will and budget. In case you are a lipstick hoarder like me, I would suggest you go for a mini version as this will enable you to have an experience of the lipstick that too on a budget. You can buy more shades. I might not get a regular size, because I would like to try out another range. Nykaa So Matte Mini Lipsticks is a range of rich and colorful lipsticks. You can find every shade in the range, Some of the shades are a bit repetitive but you could anyway try out their mini version first. Hope you liked the review and the swatches. How much SUGAR is too much SUGAR? Before you go like I should not be having too much sugar, let me tell you I don’t have a sweet tooth but sweet lips. I love SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipsticks to the core. They are one of the best crayon lipsticks I have ever come across. One of the best product by SUGAR actually, according to me. So today I am going to share 5 of my favorite shades from the range which are Holly Golightly, Rose Dawson, Brandy Harrington, Jessica Day and Scarlett O’Hara. 5 Most Favorite SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipsticks If you ask me, crayon lipsticks are the most comfortable matte lipsticks. I prefer crayon lipsticks over bullet because the former give better finish without making lips go dry. Also Crayons are more fun. I don’t recognize myself as a liquid lipstick person, unless it’s Nykaa Matte To Last range, which has pretty beautiful texture. Crayon lipsticks are easy to apply even if you are a beginner. While a liquid lipstick needs great precision and patience. Even though I am a veteran when it comes to lipsticks, I still prefer crayons. Let’s talk about my favorite lip crayons from SUGAR. SUGAR Matte As Hell Lip Crayon Holly Golightly 04 Holly Golightly is on my most used and abused lipstick. It basically belongs t the nudes family. It has a very subtle peachy pink tint that would suit every single Indian Skin Tone. It flatters not just every skin tone but every mood. I have worn it with no makeup, with lots of makeup and it never failed me. It never made me look understated, and never let me go OTT. It has that perfect amount of color, one should have on her lips when she wants to play it quite. SUGAR Matte As Hell Lip Crayon Rose Dawson 05 If you are a wheatish girl like me, then you want your pink to be subtle and red to be fierce. Rose Dawson, is another winner for me. Taking out peach from Holly Golightly and adding a bit of more pink, gives you Rose Dawson. If wondering about the name, it came from Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson from the movie Titanic. Rose Dawson is a beautiful, true and romantic pink. I wear it on the days, I wanna wear some color on my lips, but without having to announce it. It has a special place in my heart. This is a beautiful red shade with warm undertones. Before, Jessica Day came along, I wore Scarlett on my lips on every special occasions. On the days when I wanted to feel powerful and resonate the same to the world, I wore this rich red on my lips. It speaks of brevity. It’s the red you always desired and dreamed of. SUGAR Matte As Hell Lip Crayon Brandy Harrington 17 I am not a fan of earthy brown shades, but once in a while I grab a shade, just to check if my preference has changed. I would never like to be seen wearing a brown shade, but sometimes, you do things that even you don’t understand, like getting a Brandy Harrington. Even though I had a failed relationship with another brown lipstick Viola, Brandy seemed like a mature girl, who understood, I could get cold feet and respected that. It’s a muted brown shade, for the days when you want to go against the current. When you want to think on a different direction. There are several brown shade lovers, I may not be among them, but this is one shade, I still adore. Performance If you are new to the world of SUGAR Matte AS Hell Crayon Lipsticks, let me tell you these are the best one can have in the segment. The smoothest texture, matte finish and long hour stay will really win you over. The only thing you might not like about these lippies is that they need to be sharpened every now and then.
