Is VLCC Glam Glo BB Cream Better Than Lakme CC Cream?

I never thought I would ever say this, but, I think I am going to replace Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream and new launch VLCC Glam Glo 10 in 1 Skin Perfector SPF 30 PA++. Lakme CC Cream has been in my vanity since it’s launch. I have tried Ponds BB Cream, Nykaa BB Cream, Garnier CC Cream as well as some high-end BB creams, but always came back to Lakme. So what happened now? Why VLCC Glam Glo 10 in 1 Perfector is instant click? There are some really practical reasons behind my liking for this newly launched BB cream.

My skin never really agreed with VLCC skincare. Some of the products from VLCC actually went horrible on my skin. I was a bit confident that this BB cream will be another failure on me, I still got it to review.

VLCC Glam Glo Skin Perfector comes in very attractive packaging. The Warm Beige shade comes in a Lavender tube with a silver cap while the Ivory shade comes in a Magenta tube. The tubes have a metallic shine. There are beautiful flowers printed on the tubes along with other information about the product.

The packaging is sturdy and compact. You can carry it in your handbag.

VLCC Glam Glo 10 in 1 Skin Perfector Shades

Ivory & Warm Beige. Ivory has pink undertones and is suitable for Fair/Light skin tones. Warm Beige has yellow undertones and hence is suitable for medium skin tones. No shade for Dusky skin tones, yet.

Fragrance & Texture

Let me start pondering my love for this new launch. I just love how wonderful it smells. It’s the mild but noticeable flowery smell. It lasts for a few minutes after application.

Texture-wise, this tinted cream is very very fine & smooth. It spreads beautifully on the skin. No extra effort is required to apply it.

My Experience With VLCC Glam Glo 10 in 1 Skin Perfector SPF 30

To come up with the best review, I am evaluating the claims made by the brand:

Instant Beautifier: Yes, it does brighten up the face. Not as soon as you apply it, but it takes a minute or so to adapt to your skin tone, and then it actually does some magic.

Covers light scars/pimples: Well yeah, it covers about 10-20%, because it a tinted cream and not a foundation. That’s all Lakme CC does for me. So light coverage is all you can expect from it.

Blurs Imperfections and appearance of fine lines: It’s quite a tall claim and as it is not easily attainable for any BB/CC cream. It can blur out light imperfections but do not expect in terms of blurring out fine lines. I have a few fine lines under my eyes, but it does not do anything to them.

Evens out skin tone: Yes, it does even out skin tone.

Deeply Moisturizes/ hydrates skin: Oily to normal skin would be happy with the moisture it provides. But dry skin types would need to layer another moisturizer underneath.

Buildable Coverage: It does not give white cast, and looks very natural on the skin. It is build-able.

Comes with Brightening Primer: Yes, maybe it’s the primer that has been working as an instant brightener.

No Clogging Of Pores: It did not break out my acne-prone skin. Yay.

Protects & Freshens: It contains SPF 30 along with PA++ which adds nice protection to the skin. But you must apply a coin-sized dollop of this tinted cream to provide sun protection. It brightens up the skin too, hence the claim holds true.

IT contains SPF 30 along with PA++ : Yes, it does contain sun protection. But must use an adequate amount of the product as explained here.

The Natural coverage, the texture, and fragrance of VLCC tinted cream won me over Lakme CC cream. VLCC tinted creams offer what Lakme CC lacks in.

The Major Con That I Found In VLCC Glam Glow Skin Perfector is the fact that it is not build-able. In case I try to build it, the first layer starts coming off.

• The claim of blurring the appearance of fine lines is not delivered.
• Even though the shades look very natural, but only 2 shades are not enough.
• Not buildable. The first layer would come off if you reapply it.

VLCC Glam Glo 10 in 1 Skin Perfector is a tinted moisturizer/BB cream which is highly suitable for Oily, Combination and Normal skin types. It provides moisture, light coverage and sun protection (SPF 30 PA++). The tinted cream provides a soft matte and very natural finish. It also brightens and evens out skin tone. The cream is very affordable at 150 Rupees. I really recommend this tinted cream if you are looking for one.
