On my voyage to find affordable, emerging, and promising Ayurvedic Indian skincare brands, I came across The Natural Wash a.k.a. TNW. This Indian brand formulates all-natural products using ingredients sourced directly from mother nature. All the products target specific skin and hair concerns. The products are cost-effective, hence I do not have to think twice before purchasing the products.
The brand sent two products to try out and after using them for about 10 days, I am going to share my honest review of the products. I have been using The Natural Wash Lip Lightening Scrub and The Natural Wash Rose Water. I recently tried out Deyga Organics Rose Water and it would be fun to compare both the brands in terms of look feel and effectiveness.
Let’s get on with the review right away:

The Natural Wash Lip Lightening Scrub
When it comes to skincare, we generally ignore our lips. A lip scrub, either homemade or store-bought, can enhance the beauty of our lips. For me, a mix of brown sugar and unadulterated coconut oil works well, but when The Natural Wash sent their lip lightening scrub, I was happy to try it out.
The Natural Wash Lip Lightening Scrub has a delicious texture, feel, and fragrance. This red-colored scrub is a mix of many exotic ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, brown sugar, walnut oil, olive oil, etc. You can imagine how rich the texture ft he scrub would be. It has the right consistency that I would like in my lip scrub. It does not fall out when applied on lips, which happens with my homemade lip scrub.
Ingredients
Veg. Wax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Brown Sugar, Walnut Shell, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Walnut oil, oils Of Basil, Orchid, Daisy, Rose, Papaya, Lotus.
Packaging
The lip scrub comes packed in a glass tub with golden colored lid. The packaging is sturdy, attractive, and luxurious.
Texture & Fragrance
As I mentioned earlier, the texture of the lip scrub is as to how I would want it to be. The scrub has fine granules, with lots of oil mix which makes it very easy to spread and scrub. Being thick in consistency the granules do not fall upon application, rather the brown sugar slowly dissolves as I scrub it gently over my lips.
There are lots of oils in the scrub, so it might feel highly loaded and sticky. But the oils are all-natural so I do not have any issue with the stickiness. The fragrance of the lip scrub is very sweet. It’s actually addictive.
The lip scrub is priced at Rs. 440 for 25gms. Every time, just a pinch of lip scrub is required, hence it will last me for at least 2 more months. In long run, it is quite economical.
How To Use The Natural Wash Lip Lightening Scrub?
- The Natural Wash Lip Lightening Scrub is very easy to use as any other lip scrub.
- Apply a generous layer of this scrub over my lips.
- Massage it gently in a circular motion.
- Leave for 2 minutes to soak the goodness of the natural oils.
- Rinse and apply an ayurvedic lip balm.
Results
I have used this scrub 3-4 times till now in a span of 10 days and my lips feel super soft and plumped. I am yet to see any lightening effect.
Do you even need a lip Scrub?
I use a lot of lip products like lipsticks, lip primers, lip plumper, lip liners, and whatnot. Gradually these products steal away the natural tint and softness of lips. Also, the dead skin cells keep on accumulating on the lips. It is important to clear the mess. A lip scrub is an essential part of a weekly skincare routine. I don’t recommend getting high-end fancy products, but homemade lip scrub would suffix for your need.
The Natural Wash Lip Lightening Scrub is an affordable lip scrub that is full of natural oils and brown sugar to give our lips a luxury experience. The richness of the ingredients leave lips soft and plumped. I really recommend including in your weekly clean up regimen.
The Natural Wash Rose Water
Rosewater is something, I consider more than a skincare item. It’s something that can instantly cheer up my dull mood on a gloomy day. It makes me feel more awake when used as a mist. The Natural Wash Rose Water has that authentic fragrance that I was missing in Deyga’s Rose Water. This rose water is free of artificial fragrance, colorant, preservatives, and animal bioproduct.
Ingredients
Rose, Steam distilled water
Packaging
The rose water is packed in a clear spray bottle of 100ml and 200ml. The packaging is attractive and sturdy.
Texture & Fragrance
The Natural Wash rose water is like water but with the fragrance of a lot of roses. The fragrance is not overpowering but it is the same as you smell a rose. It’s calming, pleasing, and soothing. Texture-wise there are no guesses required. It is just like clear water that sinks into the skin very easily.
How To Use
Now the brand claims to use in 3 ways. And Let me share, my views on these methods.
As a Toner
The primary role of rose water is to the and soothe skin, which this rose water does in an effective way. It really calms down my skin on these hot and humid days of Delhi’s Summer. My skin feels cool and refreshed as I use to post my morning shower. The rose water was moisturizing properties.
As a Mist
Yes, I use it as a mist too. Not just on my face, I like to go spray it over my neck and shoulders to feel good. It makes me smell good, for some time.
In a Face Pack
rose water is one of the greatest things to add to a powdered face pack. I love using sandal powder face pack and The Natural Wash rose water is a great companion for it.
As a Makeup Remover
Frankly, I had doubts about this claim. I don’t think rose water can really do this. Yes, it can be used as an extra wipe after using a makeup remover to refresh the skin. I used The Natural Wash rose water to remove my foundation and Kajal, but the result was unsatisfactory, I had to use a makeup remover to completely remove my makeup.
The Natural Wash rose water is a good toner and mist. It feels good on my skin, I did not face any kind of allergies or bad reactions. Its fragrance makes me feel like I am in a rose garden taking a stroll. The product is economical and worth every penny.
To conclude my experience of The Natural Wash, I would say, it is once to see new Indian skincare brands emerging out with a strong belief in Ayurveda. This way Ayurveda can become affordable to all while it had been a monopoly of Forest Essentials. The quality of products justifies the price and hence, in the long run, the products prove to be economical.
I hope, I was able to provide my honest review of the brand and the products. You can make an informative decision. I will be back soon.
Take care.
