Aloe Vera is a magic plant. It can heal almost every ailment. Aloe Vera is high in water content hence is used in most of the moisturizing lotions. Aloe Vera based products suit every skin type. Jovees Aloe Vera Moisturising Lotion is such a lotion that contains Aloe Vera as well as Apple, Peach & Sandal extracts. This is a very light moisturizer mainly targeting oily & sensitive skin. I have the same skin type hence it was an impulsive grab last month. Stay with me to get to know this product in detail. About Jovees Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion Jovees says that Oily skin needs extra care in terms of cleansing but it also needs special hydration. This moisturizing lotion by Jovees is specially formulated using essential herbal & botanical extracts to help to maintain the essential levels of moisture in oily & sensitive skin. Well-hydrated skin is always glowing & supple. This lotion helps the skin to balance it’s moisture levels by locking the skin’s own moisture level inside. Price Rs. 210 for 100ml. Buy here. Ingredients Only some active ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Apple, Peach & Sandal Extracts are mentioned. Other ingredients are missing from the packaging. Packaging The moisturizing lotion comes in an opaque white bottle with a pump fitted at the top. The packaging is convenient and leak-proof since there is a transparent plastic cap covering the pump. On the bottle, Aloe Vera slices are shown and it is mentioned that the product is especially for Oily & Sensitive Skin. Other information about the product such as the product specification, price, ingredients, etc. are is also mentioned at the back. Colour, Texture & Smell This is a very lightweight moisturizer having runny consistency. The lotion is white in color. It absorbs really fast without leaving any oily feeling behind. The lotion has a faint smell of Aloe Vera which does not last for long after application on the skin. My Experience I have been using it from last month and I think it is a decent moisturizing lotion for oily & sensitive skin. I have the same skin type plus it is acne-prone. I can easily get blocked pores in case I use a heavy cream/lotion. But this lotion is very lightweight & water-based. It has just the same consistency as that of the Clean & Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer if you have used the later. Since I have oily skin, I do not need heavy moisture when the winter is saying goodbye. My T-Zone has already started getting oily. The sticky feeling is very undesired & I detest it totally. But this lotion from Jovees gives only the required amount of hydration to my skin. I do not feel like I have applied anything on my skin once the lotion has been fully absorbed. My face feels & looks calm & hydrated. My skin feels little oily after 3-4 hours, but that’s normal for my skin type. Other than this I have not found anything amazing happening on account of this lotion. Likes Very lightweight water-based texture. It contains Aloe Vera, Apple, Peach & Sandal extracts. Suits Oily & Sensitive skin. It does not break out or clogs pores. Smells nice. Affordable. Lasts long. Convenient packaging. Dislikes The complete ingredient list is missing. Summary: 4/5 This is a decent moisturizing which gives the desired amount of hydration to oily skin & combination skin. The water-based texture makes it very desirable. This lotion is affordable & economical. Dry skin beauties need to look elsewhere until they want to use it only in humid conditions. The Face Shop White Seed BLANCLOUDING White Moisture Cream : Review

Last week I got The Face Shop Experience Kit, which constituted a moisturising cream, two face masks and a CC Cushion. Starting from last weekend I started using the moisture cream, called White Seed BLANCLOUDING White Moisture Cream. This is a pure moisture cream with brightening effect. I could use it only for 4 days. Why? Read on. About The Face Shop White Seed BLANCLOUDING White Moisture Cream I was really impressed to read about the moisture cream on The Face Shop company website. This cream has an elastic texture which is achieved by following the natural process of formation of clouds. Now I do not understand what significance does this elastic texture has on skin. The Face Shop claims this cream contains a compound consisting of White Lupin Seed, which contains a natural brightening substance, and White Daisy Flower extract, which helps reducing dullness. All in all, this compound makes skin look bright and clear. Also this cream is formulated without parabens, tar colorant, animal-sourced ingredients, mineral oil, talc, polyacrylamide, paraffin. Price $40 for 50ml. Packaging It comes in a very cute white tub packaging with greyish lid. I do not like tub packaging for skin care items but, this I have something for small & cute tub packaging. I might not even throw the empty jar. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a white coloured gel cream with elastic texture. By elastic I literally mean it has little rubber like texture. When I try to pick some product it stays glued to the jar. The smell of this cream is very mild, pleasantly sweet and does not irritate my nose. My Skin Type Oily, Acne Prone & Sensitive. My Views I bought The Face Shop Experience Kit, as it was a lucrative deal on Amazon. The White Seed Moisture Cream, was the very first item from the kit I started using very first. I am always very sceptical about using a product mainly termed as moisture/moisturiser. Since I have oily skin, and it can not bear heavy creams even during winter. The texture of the cream is smooth but elastic(little rubbery). I have never used a product with this texture. But this texture does not interfere with the application of the cream on skin. I take pea sized cream and dot it over my forehead, cheeks and chin. And then massage it gently. The cream gets absorbed very fast leaving no oiliness or greasiness behind. There is also no white cast. It’s a pure moisture cream which sans any SPF. My skin feels moisturised for the entire day and there is little brightening effect. there is no dullness/ roughness or dry spots to be seen or feel. For the first 3 days I quite liked this cream very much. The fourth day I woke up with small 3-4 small zits on my cheeks where I hardly get any. This was a sign that something was wrong. I thought I ate something wrong. Later after bath when I was applying this moisture cream, I realised, this is s the change that have caused the zits. And I sighed. Another mistake. Now the scars will take for ever to fade away. I have stooped using this cream altogether. I was using this twice a day. My skin could not take that much dose of moisture I guess. I really liked the brightening glow on face this cream gave. Also it is not that easily available in India and is really pricey. So ditching this won’t hurt much.I have some cream left in the sample jar which I guess Neeraj will be using as he has dry skin type. Likes Smooth & light textured cream. Takes away skin dryness in just one application. Skin brightening can also be witnessed with just one application. No oily residue. No white cast. Smells nice and mild. Formulated without parabaens and another additives. Dislikes Broke me out. Pricey. Availability is an issue. Summary : 3/5 It is great moisturising cream for dry to normal skins but acne prone oily skin might not bear the richness of this cream. It might break out the skin. Also the hefty price is a big factor that I would not buy the full size jar ever. I am still happy with my Himalaya Herbals Natural Glow Fairness Cream and TBS Oils Of Life Sleeping Cream. Za True White Day Cream with SPF 20 PA++ : Review

Hi, I am going to write about the white girl in town, Za True White Day Cream. Za is from the house of Shiseido Japan which is an old and reputed brand in skincare and makeup. This particular line also comprises of an emulsion and night cream which I quite liked. It is another cream claiming to whiten the skin. But today’s woman of Internet era is not so ignorant. We all know skin color can’t be changed (read as whiten) unless we go through some surgical procedures or harsh chemical routine. Then why do we buy such creams labelled as ‘whitening’. We just wish to get rid of the un-even skin tone or age spots or dark spots due to zits. That’s all we want from a whitening cream to give us an even toned glowing skin. Highlights of ZA True White Day Cream SPF 20 PA++ Whitening Effect with 4MSK Vitamin C SPF ingredients White Lily Extract Price This is a costly affair as it sells at Rs. 999 for 40 grams. Packaging It comes in a transparent cover which provides all the product information like how to use, main ingredients, price, weight etc. I lost its outer cover so I don’t have its pictures. The cream comes in a white plastic jar with a pretty shape. The jar is quite sturdy and leak proof. Texture, Colour & Smell The color of the cream is milky white. The texture of the cream is velvety soft. It is lightweight and hence absorbs pretty fast. I am in love and hate relationship with the smell of this cream. When I first apply the cream it smells like alcohol. But after few seconds there comes a mild floral smell which I adore. My Experience with ZA True White Day Cream I bought this cream especially because everyone was raving about it. Also it claims to have vitamin C which is a superb ingredient for a skin care product. My skin concern is mainly the dark spots that I get due to the occasional zits. The cream also has SPF 20 in it hence no need for a separate sunscreen unless you are going out in the sun. I used this cream for about four weeks regularly after my bath in the morning. It absorbs really fast and gives little sheen to the skin initially, but if you touch your face, it feels matte. Wow. Also it does not make my skin greasy after few hours as other matte creams I have tried. With regular use it evens out the skin tone which is quite desirable. Coming to the dark spots, I don’t find remarkable difference. The spots are still there just little bit lighter. Guess spot correcting needs more time. This cream provides the right amount of hydration to my oily skin. I don’t need another moisturiser. Oh yes, the product has some downfall too. The cream is matte and non greasy but it makes me sweat during summers. Oh God, why? I thought I found the perfect day cream but I guess, I will have to wait. So my hunt for an I-won’t-make-your-face-sweaty day cream starts again…phew!! Likes Lightweight and non greasy yet hydrating. No acne breakout or skin allergy. Nice floral smell (hope the top note of alcohol are just with my piece). Sturdy packaging hence travel friendly. Has the goodness of vitamin C which helps in skincare brightening. Has SPF 20 which is sufficient for indoor stay. Gives nice glow to the skin. Brightens and evens out skin tone with regular use. Suitable for all skin types. Dislikes Price of-course. Though it will last about 2 months, I find the price little bit on higher side My face sweats after wearing this cream. A big turn off. Summary : 4/5 This is a nice day cream if face sweating is ignored which is hard and I hope it’s just my skin. Also one needs to be regular with this cream to maintain the effects.
