7 Underrated Swiss Beauty Products: Review, Swatches

Once you start using high-end makeup brands, there is no turning back, right? But wait, how about a brand that offers quality products but is easy on the pocket too? While I won’t vouch for all the ‘desi brands’ we have, there is certainly one brand, that I have found to be faring very well in terms of quality.

Swiss Beauty is relatively new, but, one of the fastest-growing Indian Makeup brands. And boy, how beautifully it is expanding, covering all the beauty needs. I think I came across my very first Swiss Beauty product 2 years back and since then, I have tried many products from the brand. So recollecting my experience with different products from the brand, let me share my experience with you.

Swiss Beauty Airbrush Finish Full Coverage Foundation Fair Ivory SB-512

When a makeup brand understands the undertones of its target customers, it has won half the battle of fitting in. For me, it is always a task to find a perfect shade for my fair to wheatish skin tone. I prefer warm undertones. Most of the brands offer Orange hues which look horrible on my golden skin.

For reference, Maybelline Fit Me in 125/128 is my closest match.

On contrary to the name, Fair Ivory, Swiss Beauty foundation is more on yellow side. Ivory generally go for Fair-Pink skin for other brands. I don’t mind. Because it is light-yellow perfect for my light-medium skin tone with yellow undertones.

As the name suggests, it is a high coverage foundation. It kind of gives quite an air finish/ flawless coverage. The catch is you have to blend it quickly. I generally use my warm fingers.  Once set, it looks and feel quite natural.

It does not oxidizes, but transfers to my phone screen.

Available Rs 397 on amazon.

Swiss Beauty Liquid Concealer 03

Swiss Beauty Liquid Concealer 03 is my perfect match. It has the perfect yellow/golden undertones. It is thick creamy and blendable concealer. I use it for my under eye concealing without using any color corrector. It comes in seven shades and all of the shades have been crafted for various Indian skin tones.

It retails for Rs. 249 for 6gm. Available on various online platforms with discounts.

A little quantity is enough to tap under my eyes, and it brightens up my eye area. The concealer stays put for 3-4 hours.

Swiss Beauty Fusion Highlighter 03

The brand offers six shades of this illuminator, starting from a Champaign shade to a heavy-duty bronzer. I chose shade 03 which is a mysterious shade. The product looks silver but settles golden which compliments my skin tone. Guess 03 is my lucky number when it comes to picking up Swiss Beauty Makeup.

The powder is very fine and smooth in texture. The pigmentation is very impressive and the glow is subtle but beautiful. I feel like smearing my whole body in this illuminator.

The illuminator comes packed in a clear case. There is no mirror attached. The lid closes with a nice click sound. I have dropped this product once and it is still intact. So the packaging is quite sturdy.

The product is priced at Rs. 379 for 6gms.

Swiss Beauty Holograpic Eyeliner – Nebula

I am currently obsessed with this product and on a mission to acquire every shade.

This retractable, water proof, smudge proof and creamy as hell multi-chrome effect eyeliner is making everyone go gaga on the internet. Very fancy name, huh? It is quite a fancy product too. Every shade gives multiple chromatic colors.

This shade, Nebula, gives off Golden, Silver, Pink, Green and Blue hues when viewed from different angles. That adds to your eye drama.

The eyeliner comes in 6 shades and I think, these shades cover all the colors of this universe. Swiss Beauty Holographic Eyeliner is just the right product to pull off that ‘Game On’ ultra glam look. Pick any shade you won’t regret.

Coming to the performance, being waterproof and smudge-proof, it delivers what it claims. You can wear it on an oily eyelid and it won’t budge. The product is ultra creamy which means it glides smoothly on the eyelid but as a side effect, it breaks if you are not cautious. I broke the tip of the eyeliner, when I first used it. It kind of broke my heart though. But I patched and pushed the tip back into the eyeliner and it started working fine.

The packaging is sleek and as dramatic as your eyes would look after using this eyeliner. I don’t think you need any other eye palette if you have just this eyeliner.

It retails at Rs. 449, but again can be bought for a good discount.

Swiss Beauty Makeup Buddy Beauty Blender

I can’t stress enough about using good quality makeup tools such as brushes and blenders. Blending techniques and tools can make or break any makeup look. For a flawless finish, I generally use a beauty blender. I have used many beauty blenders from Nykaa, Faces Canada, and some lesser-known brands, and most of them have fared well.

Swiss Beauty Beauty Blender is a good option if you are looking for a quality product under budget. It retails only for Rs 129 and is available at a good discount. It comes with a stand, which makes it very convenient to store it after use.

The blender comes in 3 shades – Peach, Skin, and Soft Green. I already have the skin one and got the peach one too.

The blender is angled cut perfectly to reach under the eyes and around the nose. The brand suggests applying every product with this blender, but I just use it to set my base.

To use it I let it stay in water for a few minutes. As it attains its maximum size, I squeeze out the excess water and use it. It never disappoints me and does the job. I always make sure to clean it after every use to save my sensitive skin from bacteria.

Swiss Beauty Bold Eyes Super Lash Waterproof Mascara

Irrespective of the size and shape of your eyes, mascara can transform your eyes. Being a girl with small and hooded eyes, no one knows this better than me. Eye makeup can really push my eyes further back in my skull, but a mascara is my savior.

I used Swiss Beauty Lift & Curl Mascara and fell in love with it. I thought no other mascara could take its place. But when I tried Swiss Beauty Bold Eyes Super Lash Mascara, I realized Swiss Beauty itself had cracked the mascara formula.

Swiss Beauty Bold Eyes Super Lash Waterproof Mascara gives an amazing curve to poker-straight lashes without feeling heavy. It keeps them curved until you take the mascara off. The mascara is waterproof, no wonder it lasts long.

The mascara comes packed in a deep-purple-colored long tube. The mascara’s brush is coarse and thick which gives instant volume in no time.

I use makeup remover to wipe it off. It never irritated my eyes nor did I face any side effects.

Pro Tip: Try to use castor oil/vitamin E oil on lashes and eyebrows to keep them healthy.

Swiss Beauty Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Color

After using Nykaa Liquid Lipsticks, and trying out some other brands, I thought I might never return to using liquid lipsticks ever again. Liquid lipsticks could feel a lot heavy  I received a few shades of Swiss Beauty Matte Liquid Lipsticks in a PR package and I really like the feel of them on my lips.

Retailing at just Rs 199, these lip colors are comfortable to wear for long hours. Swiss Beauty Ultra Smooth Matte Lip colors are available in 42 shades. All the shades are lovely and suitable for Indian skin tones.

Liquid Lipstick pigmentation and color payoff are the best. The formula dries off very quickly. Even for highly pigmented lips, a liquid lip color would work great. Good color payoff increases the increases the longevity of lip color. But all this comes at a cost. Generally, they feel heavy on the lips. Also, crease liquid lipsticks might accentuate crease lines on lips.

Swiss Beauty Ultra Smooth Liquid Lip Color is the lightest liquid lipstick I ever used. It does not give any uncomfortable feeling. Once settled, it does not transfer much.  It wears off a little bit if I eat a meal. Touch-ups are also smooth.

Bonus: Swiss Beauty Nail Polish Remover

Nails require a lot of care especially if you are using nail paints regularly. Not just the quality of nail paint, but the quality of nail paint remover also matters. I have used nail paints as well as removers from Lakme, Faces Canada, and Colorbar, which never left my nails brittle or pale.

Swiss Beauty Nail Polish Remover is a gem for sure. Be it any brand’s nail paint, it removes it in seconds. It never irritated the skin around my nails. This is acetone-free and is enriched with witch hazel extract.

I got it for Rs. 99. It comes in a semi-opaque white 110ml bottle and a black cap. The packaging is sturdy and quite similar to Colorbar nail paint remover.

Why I Might Not Purchase Swiss Beauty Products Again?

The longevity of all the Swiss Beauty products that I have used to far is not that impressive. Most of them dried off within the very first 5-6 months. The mascara started to clump. The foundation turned patchy. The eyeliner went a little hard. If you are someone who barely uses makeup, I would say try to keep them in airtight packaging.

Swiss Beauty has emerged as one of the best Indian Makeup brands because of the quality and affordable prices that it offers. The brand offers a wide range of products which I plan to keep exploring. If you too have used any product from the brand, do share your experience.
