There was a time in my life when I used to scrub every single night because it helped me getting a clearer skin. I loved how soft my skin felt.  St. Ives Blemish Control  used to be my favorite scrub, as it helped with my acne too. I stopped the daily scrubbing activity only after getting to know that my favorite scrub had been discontinued. And that’s when I first tried The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion.

The entire range from The Body Shop comes in bright orange packaging. The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion comes in an orange colored opaque tube with black flip top cap. The tube contains all the information about the product like ingredients, price and manufacturing details.

The 100ml tube might not be considered travel friendly and but the packaging is sturdy enough in case you decide to carry in your luggage. There are no travel size variant of this skin polish available.

Fragrance & Texture

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion has quite a fruity, refreshing and refreshing. The smell is pleasant and does not irritate my sensitive nose.

Texture wise the scrub is very creamy and contains ultra small and even granuals. The granuals are as small as you expect in a skin polishing product.

My experience With The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion

I turn to The Body Shop mostly during winter as it offers quite moisturizing night creams like TBS Vitamin E Cream, TBS Oils Of Life Sleeping Cream etc. When the Vitamin C line was launched I was very prompt to get it Vitamin C really agrees with my skin type. I mostly rely on Aloe Vera and Lemon for the brightening needs of my skin. It’s anyway a great option to have a ready made Vitamin C product in my closet in case I am tired or in hurry.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Microdermabrasion, is not an ordinary scrub. It’s a skin polish. It has very even sized minute granuals submerged in a creamy base. The scrub does not require you to put any force on the granuals. You just need to be very light hand on your face otherwise you it will feel very harsh. Once I hurriedly scrubbed my face with this skin polish and I was left with a burning sensation for some time.

You can take your time to scrub away the dead skin cells, but better get over with the scrubbing action within 2 minutes, otherwise you will loose your natural skin moisture and would end up drying out your skin. After scrubbing, it’s a good idea to put on a very basic face mask which does not contain much of ingredients. Fuller’s Earth (multani mitti) or sandalwood paste would be the best choice.

After removing the face mask tone and moisturize your skin. And it will feel like you had a salon-like-clean-up.

I use this skin polishing once a week or two week. Using it more than that is definitely not a good idea since I use chemical exfoliators every day. I don’t let dead skin accumulate on my skin. That’s the secret to acne free skin.

How To Get Salon Like Clean Up Effect At Home With The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Microdermabrasion

• Use a mild cleanser to clean your face.
• Use a pea sized amount of The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Microdermabrasion.
• Massage being gentle. It’s quite a powerful product, you don’t need to be really scrubbing but just massaging.
• Rinse away The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Microdermabrasion.
• Apply a soothing face pack containing, Fuller’s Earth (multani mitti) or sandalwood paste or both.
• Apply Toner & Moisturizer.
• Love and admire your skin.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Microdermabrasion, gives salon like clean up at home if you are gentle and follow very basic steps. It really takes away your dead skin cells, leaving behind a very soft, clean and radiant skin. Being gentle is what it takes. It’s pricey but worth every penny. It’s my favorite product from TBS no doubt.
