Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum : Review | Oil & Acne Prone Skin

Hope you had a great Diwali. Diwali is no doubt one of the most awaited Indian Festival. But it passes so quickly that we are like, what? it’s already over? Wish it could last for few more days, but any way let’s move on to our regular life now. So, recently I have been trying out Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum. Today I am going to share my views on the same. I have oily, acne prone & sensitive skin which is very tricky to treat or calm down. The serum claims to offer advanced anti ageing formula, which I will be talking about. Stay with me.

This serum offers lightweight hydration, easy absorption and smooth feel. The active ingredients of the serum penetrates deeply into skin’s epidermis layer. It helps to smoothen out wrinkles and fine lines with it’s moisturization properties. The serum is suitable for all skin types as claimed by Olay.

Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum is packed in a white opaque plastic bottle with a black pump fitted at it’s mouth. The pump dispenses a pea size amount of the product, and there is absolutely no wastage. The product has some manufacturing details. The bottle comes in a red and clack card box which is the signature packaging of the Olay Regenerist series. The outer packaging contains ingredients and every other details about the product.

The packaging is really travel friendly being compact and sturdy. Plus it’s quite practical and attractive. Five stars.

Fragrance & Texture 

Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum has a very mild fragrance.The fragrance is not noticeable much and fades away within few minutes of application.  It is a lightweight white colored very smooth serum. It is not very runny but spreads easily on skin and gets absorbed within few seconds. There is no stickiness or oiliness to be observed post application of this serum.

Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum is very lightweight and does not offer much moisture to skin. It’s better than my recent Plum Green Tea Skin Clarifying Concentrate, but normal-dry skin beauties definitely need a nice moisturizer over this.  Now as the temperature has dipped in Delhi, my skin has turned bit of combination and I feel Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum is not moisturizing enough for my skin. So I am looking forward to get Neutrogena Fine Fairness Oil Free Moisturizer.

Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum & My Oily Acne Prone Skin

Honestly I was really not sure if this would work on my skin. It is loaded with silicons to smoothen out the wrinkles and pores. Silicons could irritate sensitive skin like mine. Earlier I have tried Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Day Cream and it didn’t suit my skin. SPF infused day creams always give me zits, it’s proven.

Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum is a lightweight serum, but on it’s own it does not break out my skin. It does not make it oily or sticky. I use it after cleansing & toning. Only 2-3 pumps (1 pump is only a pea sized) are required for my face and neck. It shows instant results in terms of smothening out face to an extent.

I don’t have wrinkles yet, but yes I can see nice effect on my pores. They appear really small and my face looks more smoother. It works on improving skin texture if used daily. I use it twice a day.

But  after using it for 3 weeks, I can say it has kind of stopped working for me. Also sometimes, my skin itches after using this serum. The silicons do react with my skin depending upon it’s condition.

• If you have dry-normal skin, you can opt for a more moisture rich serum like Za Perfect Solution Youth Whitening Serum or something else from Olay itself.
• If you have oily skin and not sensitive, Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum is a good serum to incorporate in your daily skin care routine for anti ageing effects.
• If you have oily and sensitive skin, you might find your skin might get itchy sometimes, so be aware of the fact. A potential side effect of Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum.

Regarding the advanced anti ageing formula, I think this serum gives a superficial effect because of the presence of silicons in it. Wish it had some really

Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Serum is an instant smootheing serum as it is loaded with silicons. If you skin is sensitive, you might want to skin it, otherwise you will love it.
