Mamaearth is one of my favorite Indian brands to look for natural skincare, haircare, and babycare products. My oily acne-prone skin has found its solace in Mamaerath products. Most of their products have proved to be excellent for my skin. If you have similar skin as mine, you have come to the right place. Top 6 Mamaerath Products For Oily Acne Prone Skin
Mamaerath started a few years back only, and it has gotten really popular, because of the quality product it offers. As the products contain natural ingredients, they are more likely to suit everyone. The products are also made keeping in mind the Indian climate. They do not feel heavy or sweaty. Being affordable is another point I would like to mention.

My skin concerns have been very specific. My skin needs moisture, but that should not be oily. In order to heal acne, I need an ointment, but it should not dry out my skin. So it’s tricky to really choose a product for me. But somehow Mamaearth managed to impress me with the following products:
Mamaerath Tea Tree Charcoal Face Wash
I do not like using products claiming to be oil-controlling. Because those products really script you off of your natural oil, triggering your skin to produce more oil. You fall into a cycle and it’s never-ending. When I first received Mamaerath Tea Tree Charcoal Face Wahs, I did not like seeing the oil control label on the packaging. I took it as another oil stripping face wash. But glad it proved me wrong. It didn’t make my skin feel dry.
Mamaerath Tea Tree face wash contains activated charcoal and coffee. Activated charcoal cleanses the skin very well as you might know already. Coffee energies skin, giving it a plumped effect. It also exfoliates the skin gently. Combined together with Tea Tree oil, it becomes a potent cleanser for acne-prone and oily skin. The face wash unclogs blocked pores.
How I To Use This Face Wash
- I apply a small amount of Mamaerath Tea Tree face wash on wet face.
- Then I massage my face gently in a circular motion to form a lather.
- I make sure to focus on blackhead prone zones like forehead, nose chin, and inner cheeks.
- Next, I wash away and pat dry my face.
- Time to apply toner and a light moisturizer.
- I use it twice daily.

Mamaearth Ubtan Face Wash
Acne is not the only issue, oily skin might have. Dullness, uneven skin tone, and skin texture could be other skin concerns for an oily skinned beauty. Like I face hyperpigmentation and dark spots due to acne. Mamaearth brought us back the age-old ritual of Haldi Ubtan which is very effective in imparting a healthy glow on the skin while fading away dark spots.
Mamaearth Ubtan Face Wash is my cult favorite, especially for summers, when tan and dullness are quite common. Enriched with Turmeric and Saffron, this face wash does not demand extra time for my skincare routine. I use it on my face for like a minute while taking a shower, and it works it’s magic through. This is a face wash/scrub. It’s not a regular scrub but it contains little and even scrubbing particles like besan.
How I Use Mamaearth Ubtan Face Wash
- I wet my face. and apply a few dots of this face wash cum scrub all over my face.
- I massage my face gently, concentrating more on my forehead, nose, and chin.
- The scrub is gentle, so I really enjoy this skin ritual.
- I wash away the face wash and pat dry my face.
- Next, I apply my toner and moisturizer.

Mamaearth Oil-Free Moisturizer
The most tricky part of acne-prone skincare is to find the right moisturizer. Glad Mamaearth took this skin concern into account. Acne pone oily skin needs hydration but in little quantity, just enough to keep skin balanced.
Mamaearth Oil-Free Moisturizer is enriched with Apple Cider Vinegar minus the smell. It hydrates skin, without making it greasy. It provides only that amount of moisture to my skin, that it demands. ACV keeps the skin’s pH level balanced protecting it from acne bacteria.
How I Use Mamaerath ACV Infused Moisturizer
- After washing my face with a suitable face wash, I pat dry my face.
- I take a dollop of the moisturizer and apply several dots on my skin.
- Now I massage it into my skin. Within a few seconds, it sinks into my skin.
- My skin does not feel oily or dry.
- Next, I apply sunscreen.

Mamaerath Aloe Turmeric Gel
Sometimes, I feel like applying Aloe vera gel on my skin and that’s when I reach for Aloe Turmeric Gel from Mamaearth. This gel is aloe vera gel is expected to be, very lightweight, and hydrating. Mamaearth suggests to use it for skin and hair, but I never tried it on my hair. Sometimes I slather it on my face as a mask, especially after returning from out.
Mamaearth Aloe Turmeric Gel is a natural blend of Aloe Vera and Turmeric. It also contains Glycerin and Vitamin E. This product is suitable for all skin types and is quite a versatile product. Especially for oily skin beauties, who do not like to apply a moisturizer, this gel can be very useful.
How I Use Mamaerath Aloe Turmeric Gel
I use it in many ways:
As a moisturizer: After cleansing my skin, I apply this gel all over my face and neck. No need to apply a separate toner or moisturizer as it tones and hydrates the skin on its own.
As a face mask: It’s my feeling-lazy-mask. When I do not want to go for heavy-duty face packs, I slather a layer of this gel on my face and neck. I never remove this pack. I simply massage my skin and the sinks into it.
For extra hydration: Sometimes, I add a little bit of this gel to my moisturizer. This way, I dilute the consistency but increase the hydration of the moisturizer.
As a primer: Aloe Vera gel could be used as a primer. Mamaerath Aloe Turmeric Gel is no exception. Since it keeps skin matte and taut, it does work as a primer.

Mamaearth Ultra Light Indian Sunscreen
Skincare never completes without a suitable sunscreen. Mamaearth brings Ultra Light Indian sunscreen. I found the name of the product too cheesy, but it kind of conveys what it does.
Mamaerath Ultra Light Indian Sunscreen is a good choice for oily skinned beauties. It is a physical sunscreen with Carrot Seeds and Turmeric. It offers SPF50 PA+++. The sunscreen is made specially keeping in mind the Indian skin tones and Indian weather conditions.
How I Use Mamaearth Sunscreen
After I am done with CTM in the morning, I take a coin-sized amount of this sunscreen. I dot it all over my face and another coin-sized amount on my neck. I massage this sunscreen gently in circular motions.
** It’s very important to take an adequate amount of sunscreen to protect your skin. It is advised to take a dollop/ coin-sized amount for face and neck respectively. Also, apply sunscreen to all of your exposed areas. Repeat every 2 hours.

Sometimes, while working in the kitchen, I feel sweaty wearing this sunscreen. This does not happen when I wear La Shield Sunscreen which also contains SPF50.
Mamaerath Overnight Repair Night Cream
This is my most favorite product from Mamaearth. I have raved about this night cream so many times. It’s full of antioxidants as it contains Blueberries, Daisy flower, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. It works quickly on dark spots and skin texture. It keeps skin healthy and glowing. I have reviewed Mamaearth overnight repair night cream here. If I am asked to choose only one product from Mamaearth, I would choose this night cream. Do I need to say more?
These were my favorite products from Mamaearth. They have worked well on my oily and acne-prone skin. That’s what they suit the best. For other skin types, there are several other products, Mamaerath is constantly coming up with new products, I am trying out. In case I feel they suit my skin, I will add more reviews here.
