Delhi Summer is at peak and we #Delhiites are running to the hills. I too wanted to get away but hills make me sick. I chose the sea – beautiful emerald sea full of marine life and natural beauty. The Indian Ocean hosts many beautiful island countries and Thailand is one of the most visited by Indians for the obvious reasons. Few years back we had a vacation in Bangkok and Pattaya and, I wondered why people were so crazy about these places. This vacation, however, changed the way I look at Thailand now. Here are some beautiful moments, experiences from my tour of Phuket and Krabi. Krabi – A Coastal Delight View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) The popular Krabi town belongs to Krabi Province. The closest airport is Phuket which is accessible via a 2 hours road journey or a ferry ride. Since the Indigo flight leaves you there at 7am, and you are left with no choice but to take a car ride, while the ferry leaves at 9am. So we did the same. The car ride was sweet. My jaw dropped as we entered Krabi Resort Krabi Resort View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) I was so happy that I chose this place for my vacation. It’s located right on the Ao Nang Beach, where the sea awaits for you with open arms. This Beachfront resort is so huge that we took many days to explore it fully. We took a luxury villa that was located on a hillside and offered solitude. The beach, the swimming pool, the restaurant, the reception all were just a call away. But we loved walking along those beautifully manicured plants and trees. 4 Islands Tour View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) We started on our voyage to explore the sea around Krabi. 4 Islands tour is the most common tour operated by the local tour operators. You could take a speed boat or a long tail boat to the islands. The boat takes you to the beaches , giving you some time to swim and relax. The tour also includes snorkeling, for which they take you to the designated places. Among, Koh Poda island, Chicken island, Tup island and Phranang Cave Beach, I loved Tup Island. It was most scenic. But had lots of cockroches. Not just the islands, but the boating experience was amazing. The enormous rocks lying amidst the sea, are unforgettable. The Carefree Nights On The Beach The beautiful moon, the sea trying to embrace the moon and two hopeless romantics. The sound of the waves, and the cool breeze, just a perfect setup for date nights. We used to stay there till we felt sleepy. The Ferry Ride This was my first time on a ferry. We chose to take a ferry to Phuket. I thought it would be boring to be on a 2 hours long ferry ride sitting in a cabin. But it was a great experience. We could roam around on every floor and to every corner of the ferry. We stayed on the deck for most of the time, feeling the speed of the ferry and rush of the wind. Centara Villas, Phuket Our next stop was, Centara Villas, which is located on a hill across the beach. It’s a luxurious property with beautiful swimming pool, a bay view restaurant and beautiful cottages which are connected via zigzag staircases. There is a long pathway to the beach from the hotel. Since we chose a sea view cottage, we had a great view of the sea from our balcony. Phi Phi Island View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nisha Malik | High On Gloss (@highongloss) Next day we again took a 2 hours long ferry to reach the very famous Phi Phi Island. I was amazed to find it was not just any other island we had visited before back in krabi. There were people living on the island. A nice market with lots of eating places and even nice hotels have been set up there. So in case you wanna stay there, you can stay as long as you wish without having to worry about your basic needs. Not to mention the beautiful beach, we had great fun there, we swam as well as made some sand castles. Phuket City Tour Phuket is a big town and it is quite developed than Krabi. It’s no lesser than Bankgkok and Pattaya in terms of industrialization. We visited a gem factory, a honey farm, a cashew factory, as a part of our city tour. The tour also included beautiful Karon VIew Point, Windmill point, visit to baby elephant zoo , Big Buddha Temple, and some similar places which boasted about the natural beauty that the island hosts. It was not just a tour, it was a vacation, as I felt I have been living there for ages. It was relaxing. We could spend our days just gazing the sea. We actually lived rather than just pushing the day and call it a night. When I came back I could still hear the sound of the waves, the touch of the white sand against my skin and the smell of the salty air. It was magical. Signing off with sweet memories.

Goa is among those dream vacations which you want to do before you hit 30. I haven't been to Goa till now despite of it being the most popular vacation destination for youth. What is there not to love? Goa does not only offer beautiful beaches but it has forts, hills and other natural beauties hidden away from limelight.

I have never been on a blind date. The very idea of meeting someone unknown gives me goosebumps. But how about going on a blind date with this whole world? Going to a place I have never even heard about. Doing things that I never have thought about doing. I still get goosebumps about this sort of blind date but I also feel some adrenaline rushing to my veins. Here goes my #TheBlindList of the places & things while I #SayYesToTheWorld This world is full of possibilities, all we need is to have an open mind and attitude to embrace & a capability to say yes to the world. But to which world? How much do I know the world? The world is not just about just sky touching buildings or mega structures. It’s a lot more than that. I have some vivid dreams, some vague images n my mind that make that can surely go into my travel bucket list. Going On A Blind Date With The World A Starry Night Over A Lake It’s the most subtle view that I have in my mind. A starry night that hits a forest. The dense forest that ends on the banks of a standstill lake. The lake that holds midnight water. The water that shines as bright as the stars in the sky. The stars that seem to be born tonight. The night that is still young. I am awestruck. Only naked eyes can capture the true beauty of this place. I am on my knees, should I watch the stars or the reflection of the stars in the water. Why this night is so bright even though it’s not a full moon tonight. Is it the stars again? I refuse to sleep tonight because I do not want this night to end. On a second thought, I wonder how serene this place would look in the daylight. A Safari To A Mysterious Island I still have some glimpse of that movie where the Rock is stuck on a mysterious island which is home to the smaller version of animals. I specially can’t shake an image of him carrying a small elephant in his arms. I see myself there. I am holding a elephant in my arms while another one sitting on my lap. I walk a mile and I find some lions while they still look like cubs. We cuddle for some time and I walk ahead. In front of me is a landscape. I am running with few horses before they decide to make a u-turn. And here cums a pair of kangaroos that I have never ever seen in my life for real. And I have approached a white river running in the heart of this island. Oh, such a place….only if it exists. From Mountain Peak To Somewhere After witnessing the most beautiful sunrise of my life at the peak of this mountain, I decide to follow a trail that starts from the mountain, going downward, visible for few meters before fading away in the clouds swimming around. The trail itself is a narrow pathway covering itself with a blanket of flowers. The wild flowers dance as slow wind flows through them. The wind brings the wild fragrance of the flowers to me and I feel a faint smile on my lips. I close my eyes as I inhale this freshest air. The sunshine is getting stronger and I am taking long steps. I have crossed the clouds now and I can see small blocks. Going closer I can make out, It’s a village. I am embraced by the oldest woman of the village who heads the village. My breakfast is waiting for me. I can go on and on and my travel wish lists would never end. I don’t know if these places are for real. If they exist where are they, or what they are named. But I can visit them whenever I want to. I just need to close my eyes and I am there, where I want to be. That’s the liberty of a dreamer. Do you too have some wish lists that may sound crazy to others, but are authentic and real to you? Share here. I won’t judge. Much Love, Nisha

Hello Ladies, Few weeks back I got a chance to attend the launch of a European baby brand in India – U-Grow. It is basically a Romania based group of companies which are the name behind the leading brands in Europe. The group is expanding. I am happy to announce that they have officially launched in India too. Though their products are yet to see the Indian Market, but the brand presented a very nice range of mother & baby care products for our display, which includes feeding, health, safety, travel etc. – everything a baby needs from the start. I got a chance to try a unique gift from U-Grow, Inflatable Car Pillow & Mattress. It is such multi purpose product for a baby/toddler/kid that it can be used almost every where. As the name suggests it is a set of a inflatable mattress & two decent sized pillows. Since I was travelling quite a lot from last few days, I actually realized how comfortable my 3 year old was throughout the long journeys we had in our car. He really liked the comfort, that an air filled mattress gives. The bright colored mattress attracts him a lot and he likes to sit as well as play on it. The quality of the product is so good that it was able to give enough comfort and support to even teenage kids of a relative, we were visiting. The mattress easily fits at the back seat of our car, though we had to unfold the back seats of the car to make fit it properly. Once fully inflated, it works as a comfortable chair as well as a bed for my toddler. Since it fits properly at the back seat, there are no chances of the kid bouncing off the seat in case there are bumps on the road. He had multiple hours of sound sleep over this mattress. He literally was very happy to even sit on it during the entire journey while playing with his toys or going through his books. While we are home, he really likes to play on it, read on it, sometimes, eat on it as well. The sturdy material does not allow any air leak even if he sometimes jumps on the mattress since it gives him a feel of a bounce house. The pump that comes with the mattress has a pin that fits perfectly into the socket of car charger (not sure about the technical term) to inflate or deflate the mattress & the pillows. The mattress is fully inflated within 5 to 7 minutes. If I am using the mattress within car only, it does not need refilling until a week or so. While at home the mattress requires air refill with 2 days since his activities involves around the mattress only. It is also easy to deflate it using the same pump. Just use the deflate mode and the pump will suck out all the air from the mattress and the pillows. The mattress and pillows can be easily packed back in the drawstring bag that it comes in. So it is easy to store while not in use. I am really happy with this multipurpose product. It is of great quality and easy to use, my son really is fond of this mattress as well as the pillows which even I find to be very handy while travelling. The pair of the mattress and pillows makes the journey comfortable and enjoyable for my son. Even though it is a car mattress, I wish it also could be refilled in absence of a car. I am eagerly waiting for U-Grow baby & mother care product launch in India. Hope you liked the review. Please leave your comments. Much Love.
