The Face Shop is very popular among beauties for it’s Korea origin. Korean skin care ranges are popular for their unique ingredients. The Face Shop brings Korean skin care to India at very affordable price. The Green Tea mask from TFS was lying from a long time in my stash. Finally I used it yesterday since I was supposed to attend an event. Last weekend I was out in the sun a lot & their was bit of tanning on my face. I wanted to test out the efficacy of this Green Tea Mask, & hence used it while expecting a tan free face. Read on to know about my experience. Price The face masks from The Face Shop are priced between 120-100. I bought it from Amazon, for 80 bucks few weeks back. Buy here. Ingredients Packaging It is a sheet mask made up of a thin fabric dipped in skin serum. The sheet mask has holes cut in for eyes, nose & lips, but I think they are not really proportionate to Indian bone structure. The sheet mask is packaged folded inside a very attractive sachet showing Green Tea leaves in a plate. How I Used It? Before using a sheet mask/face pack I make sure to scrub my face. Before using this face pack too, I scrubbed my face. Applied rose water as toner (as instructed on the pack to use a toner). The sheet mask is quite thin & dipped in the skin serum. I make sure to take out the sheet mask carefully so that the serum does not drip off the mask. I unfold the sheet mask and try to adjust the holes onto my features. I kept it on my face for half an hour, after which I felt the serum was almost absorbed into my skin. I took the sheet mask off my face after 30 minutes, & massaged the left over skin serum onto my face & neck. Left it to dry without washing my face. There was bit of stickiness until the serum got absorbed totally. Efficacy I was thrilled to see a natural glow on my face without any trace of tan. Yes, my face was completely tan free. I washed my face after few hours with plain water without using a face wash. Went ahead with a moisturizer & party makeup. The evening went bright & beautiful 🙂 Likes Korean skin care at affordable price. Very effective in giving glowing skin with even single use. Removes tan in single use. Easy to carry & use. No burning sensation or irritation noticed. Smells mild & pleasant. Dislikes The sheet mask is not a good fit for Indian facial features. I have used many sheet masks from TFS, and all of them were misfit for my round face. Summary: 5/5 I have used many sheet masks from The Face Shop, and all of them worked really well on my skin. This Green Tea Mask is no exception. It gives clear & glowing skin in no time. The sheet mask is affordable & easy to use too. I am sure you guys must have used a lot of sheet masks from TFS. I always fall for cute packaging. I am a hoarder and sucker of cute little pots and boxes. The Face Shop Mini Pert Perfumed Hand Cream is such a product which I saw and fell in love with instantly. It was too cute to miss. I was hearing voices “Pick Me Up”. I picked it. I was bedazzled and then I sniffed the cute pot. For a second the cute-packaging-magic poofed away since I was not too fond of utterly sweet smells. The cream did not smell floral, but powdery sweet. I didn’t care how it smelled, all I cared was how it looked. I grabbed it. About The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Mini Pet Perfumed Hand Cream White Floral It is a very light formula with high moisturization. The hand cream contains Shea Butter & Argan Oil which are high on moisture levels. The brand claims that the hand cream contains anti oxidants which keeps your skin soft and beautiful. The perfumed hand cream will cheer up your mood. Price Rs. 430 for 30ml . Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging Let’s talk about it’s packaging. It comes in a hot pink tub with a pastel pink screw-over lid in the shape of a kitten head. It feels like the kitten is peeking out of the pot. The kitten’s front paws are also crafted on the pot. That’s what makes the packaging really cute. Nothing much is printed on the pot except “Mini Pet Floral“. The ingredient list is provided at the bottom of the pot. Variants 01 Baby Powder, 02 Sweet Fruits, 03 White Floral, 04 Fruity Floral. Colour, Texture & Smell It’s texture is very fine, smooth & quick absorbing without leaving any greasiness behind. This is a very expected virtue of a hand cream, to leave nothing behind so that you can touch any object without leaving greasy stains behind. It is white in colour and has a powdery sweet smell. It smells strong but does not linger on hands for long. My Experience I generally don’t buy a hand cream, that’s too lavish I feel. I use a body lotion whenever I wash my hands. As I already mentioned, it was too cute to pass. But I do not regret buying this because it is a decent hand cream. Moisturizing and quick absorbing. I like the non greasy formula that it has. So I can just type on my laptop or use my cell phone use it without having to worry about leaving greasy stains behind. It moisturizes my hands very well during winter because, that’s the time when I use it. I remember, I used to keep a pot of this hand cream in my office drawer and my team would use it because it smelled nice for their liking. Even though its smell is sweet for my liking I have kind of grown over it and it does not bother me anymore. Also the smell does not stay for long, unless I really sniff my hands. One pot lasts about 2 months of daily usage as you need really small amount for each application. It makes it economical. Likes Light & quick absorbing formula. Way too cute packaging. Moisturizes skin beautifully. Does not leave behind any stickiness or greasiness. Contains goodness of Shea Butter & Argan Oil. Korean skin care at affordable price. Easy to carry. Lasts long. Economical. Dislikes The smell is little strong, utterly sweet and not floral. Summary : ❤❤❤❤ A moisturizing hand cream with the goodness of Argan Oil & Shea Butter. That too in a very cute kitten shaped pot. It is not a must have but I am sure you won’t be able to say no to it. Nisha got this TFS Exeperience Kit few weeks back and tested out the White Seed Moisture Cream, which did not suit her oily and acne prone skim. I volunteered to test out the Rice Sheet Mask from the same kit. Read on my review on this sheet mask. The Face Shop is a South Korean and famous brand among bloggers for it’s innovative skin care products. Korean people religiously use sheet masks to pamper their skin and provide required nourishment and vital supplements. That’s one of the reasons behind their ever glowing skin. About The Face Shop Real Nature Rice Sheet Mask Rice Water is a mostly used as a brightening agent in skin care products. It is natural and effective. This particular Rice Sheet Mask also brightens dull and darken skin naturally since it does not contain any parabenes. This mask is meant to be used on all skin types. Price Rs. 100 for 1 Sheet Mask. Get it here on discount. Ingredients Packaging It is a sheet mask dipped in clear serum. It comes in a very sleek and lightweight plastic sachet so that you can carry it around in your bag. The plastic sachet also contains little more clear serum which is supposed to be massaged over after you have used the mask. There is perfume like smell which I don’t think was necessary. A natural product should smell somewhat natural. How To Use Clean your face and pat dry. Apply some toner. Pull out the sheet mask from the carton and place on your face. Wait for 15-20 minutes before removing the mask. Massage withe left over serum all over your face and neck. My Skin Type I have normal to dry skin type. I get tanned very easily. I already had some tanning on my face, that is why I chose to test out the Rice Sheet Mask. My Experience This was my first time experience with such kind of mask. I have never had used a sheet mask before, so this was different and exciting. My major skin problem is skin tanning, I get tanned very easily. Even during winter, my skin is bit tanned. I thought it would be good idea to use the brightening mask from the TFS Experience Kit. I cleaned my face and applied Vichy Normaderm Toner which Nisha was having. After that I applied the sheet mask on my face. Initially I felt there was a little burning sensation, since it was bearable I kept the mask on. After few minutes, the burning sensation went away and I felt more relaxed. After 20 minutes I took off the mask from my face. These type of masks never dries out so you can keep them even longer. Since I was excited to see the difference, I took it off after 20 minutes. I massaged my face with the left over serum. Coming to the after effects I would not say drastic changes, but yeah there was subtle glow on my face, my cheeks were glowing and my dry skin was quite moisturised. Skin felt smooth and supple. There was little bit brightening effect and to achieve better results, I must be using it for more than once. I also had some problems regarding the size of the sheet mask. The face mask was really wide and had really small holes for eye socket. But I managed. Likes Convenient to use. Brightens dull skin. Moisturises skin very well. Skin feels smooth and supple. No breakouts noticed. Free of Parabenes. Dislikes Little burning sensation for the initial few minutes. Single use can not bring out the desired results. Summary: 4/5 I think this product is suitable when you need to refresh your skin within few minutes like before attending a party. While regular usage can help you maintain a healthy and bright skin. The Face Shop White Seed BLANCLOUDING White Moisture Cream : Review

Last week I got The Face Shop Experience Kit, which constituted a moisturising cream, two face masks and a CC Cushion. Starting from last weekend I started using the moisture cream, called White Seed BLANCLOUDING White Moisture Cream. This is a pure moisture cream with brightening effect. I could use it only for 4 days. Why? Read on. About The Face Shop White Seed BLANCLOUDING White Moisture Cream I was really impressed to read about the moisture cream on The Face Shop company website. This cream has an elastic texture which is achieved by following the natural process of formation of clouds. Now I do not understand what significance does this elastic texture has on skin. The Face Shop claims this cream contains a compound consisting of White Lupin Seed, which contains a natural brightening substance, and White Daisy Flower extract, which helps reducing dullness. All in all, this compound makes skin look bright and clear. Also this cream is formulated without parabens, tar colorant, animal-sourced ingredients, mineral oil, talc, polyacrylamide, paraffin. Price $40 for 50ml. Packaging It comes in a very cute white tub packaging with greyish lid. I do not like tub packaging for skin care items but, this I have something for small & cute tub packaging. I might not even throw the empty jar. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a white coloured gel cream with elastic texture. By elastic I literally mean it has little rubber like texture. When I try to pick some product it stays glued to the jar. The smell of this cream is very mild, pleasantly sweet and does not irritate my nose. My Skin Type Oily, Acne Prone & Sensitive. My Views I bought The Face Shop Experience Kit, as it was a lucrative deal on Amazon. The White Seed Moisture Cream, was the very first item from the kit I started using very first. I am always very sceptical about using a product mainly termed as moisture/moisturiser. Since I have oily skin, and it can not bear heavy creams even during winter. The texture of the cream is smooth but elastic(little rubbery). I have never used a product with this texture. But this texture does not interfere with the application of the cream on skin. I take pea sized cream and dot it over my forehead, cheeks and chin. And then massage it gently. The cream gets absorbed very fast leaving no oiliness or greasiness behind. There is also no white cast. It’s a pure moisture cream which sans any SPF. My skin feels moisturised for the entire day and there is little brightening effect. there is no dullness/ roughness or dry spots to be seen or feel. For the first 3 days I quite liked this cream very much. The fourth day I woke up with small 3-4 small zits on my cheeks where I hardly get any. This was a sign that something was wrong. I thought I ate something wrong. Later after bath when I was applying this moisture cream, I realised, this is s the change that have caused the zits. And I sighed. Another mistake. Now the scars will take for ever to fade away. I have stooped using this cream altogether. I was using this twice a day. My skin could not take that much dose of moisture I guess. I really liked the brightening glow on face this cream gave. Also it is not that easily available in India and is really pricey. So ditching this won’t hurt much.I have some cream left in the sample jar which I guess Neeraj will be using as he has dry skin type. Likes Smooth & light textured cream. Takes away skin dryness in just one application. Skin brightening can also be witnessed with just one application. No oily residue. No white cast. Smells nice and mild. Formulated without parabaens and another additives. Dislikes Broke me out. Pricey. Availability is an issue. Summary : 3/5 It is great moisturising cream for dry to normal skins but acne prone oily skin might not bear the richness of this cream. It might break out the skin. Also the hefty price is a big factor that I would not buy the full size jar ever. I am still happy with my Himalaya Herbals Natural Glow Fairness Cream and TBS Oils Of Life Sleeping Cream. The Face Shop Experience Kit : First Impression

Hey there, The Face Shop is a Korean brand, manufacturing and retailing skin care and cosmetics. According to the brand, it carries nature’s own values, representing natural beauty and vitality. I have previously used some sheet masks and hand creams from this brand. Today I am here to flaunt The Face Shop Experience Kit. I got this kit from Amazon.in, only at Rs. 99 while I was doing my regular shopping. I just could not say no to this deal as it costed just 99 bucks. The kit contains face mask, a 10ml moisturising cream and a CC Cushion, the first of its kind in my knowledge. I ordered the kit 3 days back and just received it, will be testing out the contents pretty soon and update you with the results. Below are the contents of The Face Shop Experience Kit. The contents are single use only. CC Cushion Trial Kit Real Nature Rice Face Mask Real Nature Green Tea Face Mask White Seed Blanclouding White Moisture Cream 10 ml Why I want to try the kit? I really liked the contents of this kit, even though they are single use, I feel I will still be able to judge their efficacy. I am quite fascinated by rice water and green tea face mask. Also the CC cushion is something I have never used and quite excited to see how it really works. And who can say no to a moisturising cream during winters. If the cream felt heavy,my hubby will be happy to finish it 🙂 In case I liked something, I can buy the full size. Since the temperature has dipped in Delhi these days, I am not doing any DIY facials, but will be trying out the face masks pretty soon. They are very tempting.
