This feels like hangover. My mind is here in Delhi but my heart is still stuck there, back in Kodaikanal. Guys, you have to bear my Kodiakanal Gaga for few more days until, I get absrbed to my routine life again. Today I am going to write about a few things that I got from Kodaikanal. Mainly there were homemade chocolates & spices every where. The chocolates come in every flavor, milk, butter scotch, bitter & dark (my favorite), packed with nuts & cracker, I mean anything you could think about. Mostly the price started from Rs. 100 per 250 gms. Quite reasonable. I spotted a lot of skin care & hair care products. Most of them were handmade and packed with natural ingredients. Free of chemicals. Exotic… huh!!! I wanted to get some spices, but left it for the last day of shopping, which could not happen due to a Survayapi-Bandh imposed on the city right on the last day of our stay. Thank God, I had gotten some skin care products beforehand, the day when we visited the Green Valley View. Since there was not much to see at the point, I rather explored the shops located on the sides of the narrow passage to the point. There were handmade soaps in different flavors, Lime, Rose, Aloe Vera, Vanilla, Mango, Jasmine etc. The soaps were priced very reasonable, despite of being herbal. I plan to gift them to my beloved ones. I spotted these bottles of rose water every where. I asked them why did the rose water look white? They said, it was concentrated & was in the purest form. I was thrilled. The rose water concentrated is supposed to be diluted. Back at the hotel I tested it. I applied a patch on my cheek and it gave a burning sensation. It was raw. I also spotted Almond & Aloe Vera Shampoos. I got the Aloe Vera version since the Almond one came into bigger size only, while I insisted on getting a smaller size bottle. I have been wanting to try out Kasturi Majanl (a form of Turmeric), from a long time. I did not hesitate to get a bottle from Kodaikanal, since it was every where for sale. I also got Red Sandal Wood powder along with this which has excellent skin care properties. I plan to come up with a DIY face pack with these two ingredients soon. Coming to the handicraft items, there were some real nice works in wood & brass. But that would have been like a lot to carry back to Delhi. I got these two very beautiful pieces of hand held fans. I like them very much. They are so stylish & colorful. I grabbed a lot of these fans, but Neeraj said, “2 are enough, honey!!” And I returned the rest of them back to the shop owner with a forced smile. So that concludes my very tiny haul from Kodaikanal. There would have been little more items, if I had not left it for the last minute shopping, which could never happen. I am happy & content though. On a closing note, I have inhaled the beauty of the city inside my brain, it’s never going to fade away. Hola.

It’s actually a haul post. Wanted to blabber that I too finally laid my hands on Juicy Chemistry recently. I hauled few products from this much-raved-about Indian brand. I was very impressed by the reviews about it’s products. Made my way to their online store. Though the products took really long to reach me due to some technical glitch at their end. But seeing them at my door step I was relived & happy. I got very promising Tea Tree & Charcoal Mask from Juicy Chemistry. This product is specially formulated for acne prone & oily skim. Hence I could not say no to this. It was on my wish list from a long time. The ingredient list printed on the tub is little hard to read because the printing is very faint in color but every thing listed here is natural & herbal. That is why the product is in powder form since no preservatives has been added to it. Can’t wait to try it out tonight 🙂 I also got a hair mask from Juicy Chemistry known as Argan & Mango Butter Masque. This hair mask is to be used before shampoo. The ingredient list of this hair masque is very impressive. All I can see are herbs & oils in it. Retails at Rs. 300 for 25grams. I also ordered a Loofah & a Wooden Spoon from Juicy Chemistry not knowing that they provide one with their face mask. So eventually I have two wooden spoons now. From some other online portal, I restocked Avene Thermal Spring Water. This is my second bottle. It is another highly hyped product from Avene. It’s not like the product is bad or anything (I would not have restocked it otherwise), I am just saying that I think it’s good, I never experienced much spectacular results from this. May be my skin is way too troubled to see any results. I don’t know. Why did I restock it? I just liked the feel-good-factor associated with this spring water. I like the freshness. It is kind of a multi purpose product- Toner + Moisturizer. I got it in the smallest packaging so that it is easy to carry around. And Kama Ayurveda Rose water was another purchase to go with the herbal face masks that I am going to use in the up coming summer. These were few products that I recently shopped, there are many more that have been dispatched from Amazon, will be reaching me soon. So excited. What have you been shopping recently? I would sure like to know? Love.

Before I got married, my Saturdays were dedicated to shopping with my sister. It does not happen much now, as we live in different cities. Since we are together this weekend, we decided to make the Saturday remember-able and have a walk down the memory lane which resulted into a small haul. I have tried the Almond version of Garnier Ultra Blends Range, and it suited my hair really well. Since I am a fan of lavender smell, I got it. Hope this variant( Royal Jelly & Lavender ) will also suit my hair. Joveen Musk is a brilliant fragrance, and I use it now and then. Was quite hesitant about the Streax Hair Serum but the SA insisted a lot. NELF is a relatively new brand to Indian market, but is a decent and affordable USA brand. I got a lip gloss and silver gel liner from NELF. I don’t know why, but Incolor has impressed me quit a lot these days. I have used eyeliners from Incolor as well as lip colors. Today I got 2 in 1 lip creams from Incolor which are similar to NYX Lip Creams. Also picked a quite orange-y lip gloss. I am a fan of Elle 18 nail pops, got few more shades. Aroms Magic Anti Pigmentation mask, is a my HG mask. It was getting over hence, got it. Also got Dabur Gulabari, it’s quite refreshing when used with face masks. After shopping, we sat down for coffee to rest our feet, we agreed, how much we missed it. This time together, no matter how old we get, we can never forget the connection that we have between us. I got this little box just because it was way to cute to miss. I have something for boxes. I love them. Someday, I will show my collection. Is there anything you liked in my small haul? Leave your comments below. Love. Stay High, Stay Fab.
