Hello Beauties, how are you girls? Do you use age defying creams? The creams that promise to keep your skin youthful no matter how many candles you are blowing on your cake every year? I do not follow any anti ageing skin care regimen as such, but there is one such cream that has been in my household. It’s Pond’s Age Miracle Cell ReGen Day Cream SPF 15 PA++. It is considered to be among the best anti ageing day cream. This cream is highly publicized for it’s retinol benefits. I have used it on and off over the years, but this cream has been favorite of my mother, ever since, I introduced it to her. So I chose this day cream to talk about today. This is my family’s favorite, as my sister too likes to use this cream sometimes, when she is running out of Pond’s White Beauty Day Cream. So let’s jump on to the review of this day cream with SPF from Pond’s. About Pond’s Age Miracle Cell ReGen Day Cream SPF 15 PA++ Pond’s identified 6 vital bio-actives which leads to the creation of the intelligent Pro Cell Complex™ for the Pond’s Age Miracle™ range. It allows skin cells to regenerate so fast, age simply cannot catch up. Clinically Proven. Dermatologically tested. Pond’s advises to use cleanser, serum & night cream from the same range for better results. Price Rs. 599 for 50gm. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging The day cream pot comes in a red & silver colored card box. Pond’s logo is printed over the card box with other information about the product. Inside the card box you find a semi transparent glass pot containing the cream with a shiny red colored lid in fancy shape. As you open the lid, you find the tub mouth covered with a plastic cover to avoid any spillage. Fragrance & Texture The day cream is sweetly scented, and smells quite luxurious. I feel, all the Pond’s creams smell the same way. The texture of the cream is very fine & smooth that it glides on skin beautifully. The color of the cream is has pink tint. One pea size amount covers face perfectly. But if you want to reap the benefit of the small amount of SPF that this cream contains, I advice you to apply it twice taking pea sized amount. Since the cream contains bit of SPF, the cream might give some sweating to the skins that are prone to suffocation, like mine. My mother’s aged & normal skin, does not feel any heaviness even during summer. My Experience I am going to share here 3 experiences, with 3 different types of skins. I have oily & acne prone skin, my sister has combination skin while my mother has mature & normal-dry skin type. The cream gives matte finish while satisfying the moisturizing needs of my oily skin. The cream minimizes my pore appearance giving it a smooth & brightening effect. As long I continue using this cream it keeps my skin even toned & glowing. But as soon I apply it on my skin, I feel bit of sweating. And continuous usage, gives me few blocked pores as day creams with SPF are known to do so to my skin. My sister has combination skin, so she needs bit of moisture & matte finish. It works perfectly for her. Though I do not advice her to use this as she is in her early twenties, because this cream contains a lot of powerful ingredients such as Retinol. Still, she uses it whenever she is running out of Pond’s Beauty White. it does not break her skin neither she feels any sweating with this cream. My mother who has mature skin, loves this cream. She has been using it for so many years. It gives her skin enough moisture. It minimizes the appearance of her wrinkles while smoothing her face (temporarily). The effect of minimization of pores & wrinkles is temporary on my skin & my mother’s skin, it goes away as we discontinue using this cream. But that is true with any cosmetic product. Likes Smooth & fine texture. Brightens & tones complexion. Gives matte finish. Suits every skin type except my extremely problematic skin. Small quantity is required for each application. Smells nice. Provides bit of sun protection too, in case you are not going out. No white cast like Pond’s White Beauty Day Cream. Helps to minimize pore & wrinkle appearance. Dislikes Costly. The cream needs to be used continuously to maintain the positive results. Can give blocked pores to extremely oily & acne prone skin specially during summer. Summary : 5/5 I am giving this cream full points because it actually is a great anti ageing cream. If this cream is used continuously, it really helps to take away age spots & delay appearance of wrinkles or other ageing signs. It keeps skin young & beautiful. Though It won’t help with sagging skin as much, but yes, it helps to smooth down wrinkle & pore appearance. I wish it worked for me, too, without giving any side effects (of blocked pores). As far I remember my first face wash was from Pond’s only when I started using one during my teenage days. After that I used almost every face wash that Pond’s came out with. I always admire it’s facial cleansers. Today I am going to talk about a very effective cleanser from Pond’s which must be favorite of many girls. Charcoal is a powerful substance, I did not know until I used, Pond’s Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam. It is one hell of a cleanser. It really suck out dirt & oil in just first wash. This is HG cleanser of my little sister, be it any season. About POND’S Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam Pond’s Pure White deep Cleansing Facial Foam is formulated with activated Carbon & Vitamin B3. The black activated carbon helps to absorb dirt & lifts away impurities while deep cleansing pores. It helps to wash away the impurities which causes blemishes and reveals brighter looking skin. The main features of this face wash: It contains Activated Carbon. Easily absorbs & lifts away the Black impurities. Helps to remove the cause of blemishes. Reveals your natural looking pure white skin. Price Rs. 192 for 100 gms. Rs. 99 for 50 gms. Rs. 37 for 20 gms. Buy here. Ingredients Packaging The face wash comes in a black opaque tube with a flip top at the top. There are white & purple accents on the tube giving it an attractive look. At the front of the tube the title of the face wash is printed along with logo of Pond’s. At the back, product information, ingredients & other related information is printed. The packaging is sturdy. The face wash also comes in travel size packaging. Color, Texture & Smell This is a grey colored creamy face wash. The consistency is not runny but spreads & is smooth to touch. It lathers very well. A small pea size of the face wash covers my whole face & neck. I always feel little sensation on my face every time I use this face wash. The face wash, washes away easily leaving skin matte. The face wash smells mild & pleasant. My Experience This is, as I earlier said, is one hell of a cleanser. I just need a pea size amount and few drops of water to make enough lather to cover my face and neck. Apply on my face & massage for a while. I feel little sensation every time I put this face wash on my face. Maybe that’s how the activated carbon works in pulling out impurities, I think. I wash away with plain water revealing squeaky skin behind. My face looks very clear, fresh & bright after use. There is little dryness that I feel afterwords this face wash (actually every face wash from Pond’s, make me run to grab a moisturizer). Clean n Clear or any such light face wash is enough to take care of the dryness. The face wash runs for a long time since very small quantity is required for each application. It is quite economical. Also I have traveled with 20 gms packaging which did not pose any leakage problem to me. Likes Creamy & smooth texture. Lathers very well. Cleans off dirt & oil effectively. Leaves skin matte & clean. Skin feels bright & clear. Affordable, economical & easily available. Dislike My oily skin feels little dry afterwords. But this is not a major con for me. Summary : 4.5/5 I find this face wash to be a great boon for oily skin specially in summer, when we need extra cleansing and matte finish afterwords. The face wash effectively cleanses dirt & oil and keeps skin matte for long hours. This is also affordable & economical as well as comes in many sizes. Hi, Temperature has dipped so much. How are you coping up? It is supposed to dip further according to the weather forecast. It is the best time to use those overcoats and extra layers of woollen clothes that are hiding in your closet. Cover yourself from head to toe. Don’t even expose your fingers, they would go numb or swell like most of the people complain. Stay protected and cozy. No matter temperature it is, but we have to carry out our daily chores and cleansing as well. Face wash is something you can not skip even on a cold day. Speaking of a face wash, let’s talk about a face wash from Pond’s which is my recent buy. It’s from the Pond’s White Beauty Range and named as Pearl Cleansing Gel. About Ponds White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel Pond’s claims that it is infused with Pearl Essence. Pearl Essence is linked with skin freshness and fairness. From decades pearl/diamond bhasam are used in cosmetics and Pond’s formulated its own formula know as Oxy Gel formula. According to Pond’s, the Oxy Gel Formula effectively removes oil & dirt but does not rip of the skin moisture. It is a refreshing and foamy formula leaving your skin bright and glowing. Price Rs. 95 or 50g. Buy here. Ingredients Packaging It comes in an attractive packaging which is one of the reasons that I bought it. I feel having attractive packaging, makes a product sell fast. It comes in a rose pink transparent tube with a flip top to disperse the product. It is quite convenient and travel friendly packaging. Since the tube is transparent you can check on the amount of the face wash left. Colour, Texture & Smell The face wash, as mentioned, is a gel. It is clear gel which foams while application on skin. There are no beads or anything else. There are small bubbles in the tube, which depict as small beads and that’s what I thought when I bought it. I took is a mild exfoliating face wash. The smell of the gel is quite mild and pleasant as compared to the smell of the Pimple Clear face wash from Pond’s. My Experience As I already mentioned, I took it as a face wash with small beads as there are small bubbles in the tube. They still are. Maybe it’s just the formula of the cleansing gel. I was kind of disappointed. But then, it was my mistake. So I used this as a regular face wash. I take it in my palms and rub it with little water, it lathers well. It is a foaming cleanser, just like a regular soapy cleanser. It cleanses well. It takes away even light makeup, lipstick stains etc. Skin looks fresh after usage, but I did not notice any kind of brightening which I do not even expect from a face wash. I used it twice a day for a week ditching my other cleansers/face washes. But there was nothing extra ordinary effect to be seen on my face. It does not overly dry out skin, but skin feels tight and needs a moisturiser after wards in contrast to Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. I can give it the benefit of doubts since it’s winter. Will try it again during summer. Till then it will stay unused. Likes Cleanses well. Takes away makeup, dirt and oil. Foaming face wash. Convenient and travel friendly packaging. Dislikes Pricey since it acts just as a regular face wash. Face feels dry afterwards. Summary : 3/5 It is just a regular face wash and claims of brightening and glowing skin, could not stand true for me. It is pricey when compared to other regular face washes. Only the packaging is attractive. I would not recommend buying this face wash, as there are several other face washes from Pond’s which are worth trying. I feel cleansers are superficial. They just are meant to be cleaning dirt, oil & some mild makeup. So I am not that much into pimple/acne clearing face washes, actually I never had luck with such face washes, with a few exceptions. Read on more to know if Pond’s Pimple Clear Face Wash, was able to make the exception. Buy at discounted price here. How To Use Wet your face, create lather, gently massage, then rinse off. Ingredients Packaging It comes in a white flip top tube with blue accents. Quite sleek & travel friendly packaging. Does not leak. I have travelled to Rishikesh with this tube. Texture, Colour & Smell It is a white coloured creamy face wash with heavy medicinal but bearable smell. My Experience I have found that the texture of all the Pond’s face washes is almost the same, just the colour & smell change. This face wash is supposed to be targeting pimples, hence it contains Salicylic acid. It is not a regular face wash, it smells like it has got some strong ingredients. The texture of the face wash is creamy and does not lather much but pea size amount is enough to cover my face and neck. When I apply this face wash, there is little tingling sensation maybe due to the presence of salicylic acid. I quite like this fact. I feel that this is working on my face. It washes away easily, no hassle to get it off the face. It takes away dirt, oil & makeup too, it is that effective in cleansing. I do not need any separate makeup remover generally, unless I am using some hard core water proof eye makeup. It stings badly if it gets into eyes somehow. After washing face with this face wash, skin feels very matte, that’s how I feel after using any Pond’s face wash. Skin feels very taut and clear. But at the same time, my face also feel little dry which is quite expected from Pond’s face washes. I can never skip a moisturiser after using a face wash from Pond’s. Coming to the effect on pimples, I feel it can prevent pimples from environmental factors like dirt, sweat & oil but hormonal acne is not much controllable with this face wash. Also, it does not help much in healing an existing pimple. I always use, Faceclin Gel to treat a zit. Likes Creamy smooth texture. Contains Salicylic Acid to help unclog the pores. Cleans out dirt, oil, makeup & sweat effectively. Gives matte effect to skin. Skin looks clear & bright. Affordable & easily available. Travel friendly packaging. Dislikes Dries out skin little bit. Not much effective on hormonal acne. Summary : 4/5 It is a good face wash specially for summers to get rid of dirt, oil & sweat. Keeps skin fresh & matte for long. My Budget Makeup Essentials

It’s going to be a quick post about the makeup products I use mostly everyday. All the products are budget products, easily available. Suit my and skin tone & type. I started wearing the Pond’s BB Cream about 3 years ago, and since then, it’s been with me. I like the natural finish it gives to my skin. Unlike Lakme’s CC cream, it does not give any white cast. Maybelline’s Super Fresh Compact is new addition to my vanity, but is really promising. Before this I used to wear Lakme 9 to 5 compact. I will review these two very soon. On good skin days, I like to wear some blush. Mostly it’s cheeky Glow, but winters are good to fluent creamy blushes too. City Color Cheeky Stain is a warm toned cream blush which I mostly prefer because of it’s natural finish. Cover Girl Lip Gloss was another budget find incidentally. It’s very beautiful every day wear shade. L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique, was unintentional buy, but proved to be a good buy. Will try to review it soon. I don’t like high drama mascaras for daily wear. Maybelline’s The Falsies gives very natural looking eye lashes. I don’t know why but I am just so in love with this eye palette from Makeup Revolution. It has got versatile colors to give you awesome looks for day and night. I am just short on time today, otherwise would have added more stuff to the post. Gotta run some errands before the day ends. My Experience With POND’S White Beauty Anti Spot Fairness Cream With SPF There is an old trust in this brand and this cream too has delivered what it claims to great extent. Nothing has been mentioned on the cream, if, it is specially meant for oily/ combination skin, but the matte finish that it gives makes me feel it is formulated for oily to combination skin. It is little heavy cream for my taste, but it performs very well to deliver even tone and visibly clear skin. I take pea-size cream to cover my face and neck. Little rubbing and it gets absorbed into the skin. It leaves behind matte finish which is the desired result an oily skinned girl would look for into a day cream. It evens out skin tone to some extent. Maybe because the colour of the cream is light pink, it leaves little pinkish tone behind. During summers the cream feels heavy for my oily skin, and it makes me sweat, but winters make it more comfortable to wear it. It has got SPF 15 with protection from ultra violet rays. It is not sufficient though, you must wear a separate sunscreen. Since it has SPF content, it leaves little white cast, and that gives an illusion of having a clear skin. Though continuous usage of this cream works on dark spots, but does not erase dark spots completely. When I wear it regularly for few days, I get some blocked pores, which is really heartbreaking. But my sister who has normal to combination, never breaks out by using this. Likes: Evens out skin tone. Gives little pinkish tone to skin. Has got SPF15 with protection from Ultra-violet rays. Works on dark spots to some extent. It removes tanning with continuous usage. Dislikes: Pricey for the quantity provided. Gives little white cast. Gives bumps to oily skin. Little heavy during summers. Makes skin sweaty. Unhygienic packaging. Summary: 3.5/5 Good for dry-normal skin, but little heavy for oily skin. De-tans skin with regular use.
