Rest of us are highly dependent on some of the best eye creams that are available to save us from the mental trauma of dark circles and puffy eyes. Spending countless hours in front of a computer during my IT days gifted me a lifetime subscription of dark circles. The newest launch Plum Bright Years Under Eye Recovery Gel, is latest addition to my vanity. I have been testing it over 2 weeks now. I am ready to share my opinion about the gel. There is nothing much printed on the bottle about the product but the outer carton discloses every thing about the product. The bottle is very tiny and looks super cute. But. But, it’s not as convenient to take out the product as it seems like. The pump does not work. Million times, I pressed the pump but nothing came out of it. Now I just twist open the pump and take out the product. It kind of defeats the purpose of having a pump at your disposal. All the convenience is lost. Fragrance & Texture Plum Bright Years Under Eye Recovery Gel has a clear gel formula which absorbs quickly into your skin. It’s non sticky, non oily and of medium consistency gel. The formula spreads easily on skin and just by tapping, it disappears into the skin. The gel is clear when taken out of the bottle but in the bottle it gives a pinkish tone, which is beautiful. The eye gel, has a very mild and almost unnoticeable smell. The smell has bit if sweet notes. Also, my under eye area is dry as compared to the rest of the skin on my face. Under eye area does not have much of oil glands. Due to dryness, your eyes develop fine lines faster than rest of your face. If I do not apply any eye cream or nice moisturizer under my eyes, I start noticing fine lines. That’s very reasonable. Recently I travelling a lot and I missed packing my favorite Juicy Chemistry Coffee And Green Tea Eye Cream with me, as a result, when I returned from my trip, my eyes looked really aged. They had developed fine lines. Horrible sight for me. Plum Bright Years Under Eye Recovery Gel, has no doubt, the best consistency out of all the eye creams that I have ever used. It does not leave behind any sticky or visible residue like Juicy Chemistry eye cream does. I can wear Plum eye cream even in the morning, under makeup or without makeup. No one can tell. How Plum Eye Gel Is Doing? I love how beautifully the eye gel moisturizes my skin. Even with gel texture, it has moisturizing agents, which is absolutely commendable. It perfectly hydrates my super dry under eye area. Fine lines due to dryness were gone within 2-3 application. (Cannot comment on deep rooted fine lines induced due to ageing) But, it has not shown any visible result in terms of brightening my under eye area. Juicy Chemistry eye cream worked like a charm and within a week (I swear). I have been using Plum eye recovery gel from more than 2 weeks now, but could not notice any difference in my dark circles. My under eye area otherwise look pretty healthy and well rested even though if I sleep for like 5-ish hours per night. So I have devised a routine, girls. I plan to use this gel in the morning and the Juicy Chemistry eye cream at night so that I can get best of the both worlds 🙂 The Good Things About Plum Bright Years Under Eye Recovery Gel Lightweight, quick absorbing formula Parabene free Contains natural ingredients as Plant Polypepticides, Amino Acid, Hyaluronic Acid Licorice Extracts, Plant Stem cells, Organic Aloe Vera. Sinks into your skin just by light tapping Can be worn any time, even under makeup Hydrates under eye area perfectly. Under eye area looks healthy and well rested. The Bad Does not work much in terms of brightening under eye area The pump does not work Costly as compared to other result oriented eye creams. Rating: 3.5/5 Plum Bright Years Under Eye Recovery Gel, is more of a hydrating eye gel to me rather than a brightening one. It’s texture is very good as it sinks into skin and hydrates it well. Apart from that, I did not find any brightening effect on my eye area which is a big let down. It’s costly for an eye cream that does not work on dark circles. I do not intend to buy this gel again. Wish it had been more potent as I love Plum products a lot. I am not sure how much more time, it will take to show any results in terms of brightness. How did you like the review? Hi girls. Plum Goodness has been around from quite some time now and I have used a handful of products from this brand. Most of them being skin care. some of them fared really well like Plum Green Tea Clear Face Pack. I also loved Plum Olive & Macadamia oil hair mask. Coming to Plum Natur Studio All Day Wear kohl kajal , there is no other match. Apart from these 3 star products, I am struggling with the other products from the brand. Today I am going to share my opinion on the newly launched Plum Green Tea Skin Clarifying Concentrate. Stay tuned to know how it fared on my oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. Refer to the picture below to have a look over the complete list of ingredients. Packaging The concentrate comes packed in a 30ml transparent matte bottle with a pump fitted at it’s mouth. The bottle itself is packed in the signature packaging of Plum Goodness which is Olive green and white. The outer packaging contains all the information about the product including manufacturing details, ingredient list, usage direction etc. The 30ml bottle is quite travel friendly because it’s compact and the pump is sealed with a transparent cap. There won’t be any accidental spill. Also as the product gets used, the concentrate keeps on going higher as you can see in the image below, so every drop of the concentrate could be used. More Skin Care From Plum: Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in True Black Fragrance & Texture Plum Green Tea Skin Clarifying Concentrate, is a very lightweight solution. It has greenish hints but goes clear when applied on the skin. Being runny, it is easy very easy to apply it. Instantly it gets absorbed leaving nothing behind. It has quite a familiar pleasant and sweet smell. I think this is the signature fragrance of all the Plum green tea range products. It’s mild and goes away pretty soon after the application. My Experience With Plum Green Tea Skin Clarifying Concentrate I might refer this concentrate as a serum, because, it has the characteristics of a serum. It is lightweight, runny and gets easily absorbed. It offers moisture but is very minimal. The moisture level is so low that even my oily-turned-combination skin needs a layer of moisture over this concentrate. I can give it a benefit of doubt as it does not promise to provide ample moisture to the skin. Coming to the results, I have used this concentrate more than half now in about 2 weeks, twice a day, but I don’t see any thing extra ordinary out of this concentrate. I have dark spots due to acne. They are still as dark as they were before using this concentrate. It does not prevent new acne. I am having a lot of blocked pores and 2-3 pimples on my face right now. Green Tea is supposed to help fighting acne, but guess this concentrate does not have ample amount of green tea. I wonder what happened to the Salicylic Acid from Willow Bark. This concentrate is too mild to act on my existing problems. I am going to use it until I finish it. because, there is not much left in the bottle, anyway. And I will be returning the empty bottle to Plum with my feedback. The Good Loaded with so many powerful ingredients. Very lightweight, hence gets absorbed really fast. Does not contain any bad boy i.e., parabenes/phthalates/chemicals Travel friendly packaging. Adds bit of glow to the face, without making skin oily. The Bad Pricey for the quantity provided. The Ugly Does not work as it is supposed to. Does not help with dark spots or fights acne. Basically it’s just an extra step in your skin care yielding nothing. Despite of being targeted as a product for oily & acne prone skin, it delivers nothing. Summarizing the review, there is only a feel good factor that is associated with this product for me, that this concentrate is from Plum and it is green Tea based. I feel, it can keep skin matte for another hour during summer. Honestly, I had really high hopes with this concentrate (which is not concentrated enough to moisturize skin), I really wanted it to work as amazingly as Plum Green Tea Clear face mask works for my skin. I wonder what went wrong, with so many nice ingredients, why this concentrate does not work for me. Have you used this concentrate? Do you feel it lives up to it’s claim of giving a clear skin? I have used quite moisturizing hair mask in the past such as L’Oreal Cream Bath Hair Spa, Nature’s Series Olive Oil hair mask etc Plum Olive & Macadamia Mega Moisturizing lives up to it’s name. It is a cream based mask which spreads easily on hair. But less is more of this hair mask. Using more than required might give you limp hair because it is high in hydration. It has very natural sweet and mild fragrance. It’s very fresh. My Experience With Plum Hair Mask My hair are dry, dull & recently got colored. They essentially need moisture, a lot of it. Olive oil, Shea Butter & Macadamia Oil are such ingredients that can enhance the hydration level of skin and hair. Olive oil is the most trusted ingredient for my hair. Plum hair mask contains not only olive oil, macadamia oil and Shea butter which means triple moisturizing agents. I use this hair mask as a conditioner after shampoo and as a weekly hair mask too. As a conditioner I start applying it from the mid length till the tips. While as a hair mask, I use it before shampoo all over my scalp and hair. Used anyhow it gives beautiful results. It moisturizes my hair, and leave them detangled. There is not any extra ordinary shine to my hair, but they look better. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and hydration level of my hair is returning. But if I use this hair mask on my scalp, after using shampoo, it weighs down my hair making them limp. So I make sure to apply it after mid lengths to tips only. Price vice it is little higher than L’Oreal Hair Spa or other drug store hair masks, but it’s worth every penny, If your hair require moisture, this hair mask is for you. Being parabene free, silicon free and is completely vegan. After using the hair mask, now I am thinking to get the shampoo and conditioner of the same series. The kajal is jet black offering high pigmentation while being free of dyes, preservatives & other chemicals. At one end there is a pointy color pigment (kohl) while at the other end, a nice smudger is fixed. The kohl end is covered with an opaque white cap while the smudger end is covered with a transparent plastic cap. The pencil is easy to carry & convenient to use. Plum logo and some information regarding the kajal has been printed in purple color. There is a black band just before the smudger end to indicate the color of the kajal. I actually got the Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in a combo offer with Plum Nature Studio All day Wear Kohl Kajal, hence got a sharpner as well as nice compact mirror with the deal from amazon. That deal is over now but, another deal is still running on Amazon. It offers a free bag & a sharpner with the kajals. Shade – True Black The color is beautiful black. It’s not matte but does not ultra glossy. Once smudged, the shine goes away. Fragrance & Texture As such, while applying the kajal, I do not smell anything out of it. Only if I really hard to smell the pencil, then there is a very faint sweet smell. it’s very mild. Texture wise, it is very smooth despite of not being ultra creamy. I actually like the fact that it is not ultra creamy since, the ultra creamy ones keep on breaking off every now and then. It does not break off and still glides on my water line & lash line very easily without hurting my eyes. Pigmentation It is a highly pigmented kajal. I really like the intense color pay off it gives. One swipe makes the difference. 2 swipes & that’s all you will ever want. Finish Initially if you are not using the smudger thing, your eyes will have a bit of intensity & shine, but if you opt for more subtle look or smokey eyes, you will get matte and rugged-in look. The texture of the kajal makes it easy to blend the color for a nice black hue. Longevity Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal does not smudge once set for 4-5 hours. I swipe the smudger once or twice on my water line, or use a layer of powder to ensure the kajal stays smudge free for long hours. You can wear it for 4-5 hours in a row even if you have not used the smudger. But after that you might find bits of the kajal under your eye area nothing major though. Likes 100% Natural & free of dyes, preservative & chemicals. Nice black shade. Smooth texture. Contains Jojoba Oil, Macadamia oil and soothing Chamomile extracts, The smudger is very handy to ensure smudge free look (ironic, I know) Quality product. Does not irritate my eyes. Stays intact for 4-5 hours. Can be used as a simple kajal as well as to achieve smokey eyes. Affordable for the quality it offers. Plum offers Vegan products & does not believe in testing on animals. Dislikes It has to be sharpen. Summary: 5/5 Totally heart Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal. I love the smooth texture, the intense color pay off , the price & the smudger attached at the end. It is one fabulous grab. On top of all, it is free of chemicals & safe to be used as a kajal, a liner or to achieve smokey eyes look. Such a multi purpose product. Sreeparna recently reviewed Plum Matte Moisturiser, I realized I also have a fabulous product from Plum (that too from the Green Tea range) which deserves appreciation on HOG. I am talking about Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask, which is a clay mask specially formulated for combination, oily & acne prone skin. It also contains Glycolic Acid which is another fabulous ingredient for troubles skin. Plum has different skin care ranges such as Aloe, Green Tea, Chocolate etc. I have tried many products from different ranges but Green Tea Clear Face Mask is my favourite from Plum without second thoughts. About Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask Plum does not use parabenes, pthalates, propylene glycol ,SLS ,DEA, PABA and animal derived ingredients. This fact makes Plum products quite exotic for all those who detest using such chemicals on their skin. Talking about the green tea face mask, it is formulated for acne prone, combination & oily skin which need little more cleansing and soothing action. Green Tea is a powerful anti-oxidant. Clay absorbs extra oil/sebum from skin. Glycolic Acid clears out dead skin. Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask is composed of all these powerful and amazing ingredients. Wait for 30 minutes or until the face mask is dry. Wash off with cold water and pat with a towel. Apply light moisturizer if required. My Current Favorite Night Gel : Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel Packaging The face mask comes in a transparent glass pot with white lid. The pot has Plum’s logo and other important information about the face pack. The glass pot comes in a white coloured outer box containing instructions to use, ingredients, about , price etc. It is advised to be used once a week only. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a clay based face pack. It looks like a fuller earth pack initially. The texture is very smooth and fine. It spreads on face very easily. Also it is easily washable. It has a cooling, refreshing & mild sweet smell. My Experience I have oily & acne prone skin. Clay packs are most suitable for this type of skin. This face pack is great for weekly DIY facials. I get little lazy during winter but summer makes my skin cry for little pampering. This face pack is easy to spread on face due to its fine texture and perfect consistency. It takes 15-20 minutes to completely dry, and then I wash it without much hassle. I am left with smooth and clear face even if I use it after a long period. It starts working from first application. I feel my face more radiant and taut. Pore looks smaller I do not know why, because the pack does not even claim so. It’s a bonus. It is little costly though, but it lasts about 2 months since you are supposed to use it once a week only. I have noticed that after few usages, it tends to get little dry in consistency. I add water or rose water to use it further. But there is no discrepancy in the after effects. Likes Fine & smooth texture. Contains Green Tea & Glycolic Acid. Leaves skin clearer, smoother & matte Pore appears minimized. Calms down skin redness. No allergies/ breakouts. Mild refreshing smell. Devoid of harmful chemicals. Plum doesn ot test on animals. Dislikes Little pricey. Summary : ❤❤❤❤❤ I bet who ever has used this face pack, would be a fan by now. It is a great product for combination, oily & acne prone skin. Visible results from first use. Face looks clearer, smoother & calmer. A must have for troubled skin during summer. Their Green Tea range is specially designed for people who have combination, oily or acne-prone skin. This range consists of four products; Plum green tea face wash, an alcohol free green tea toner, a moisturizer, a glycolic acid green tea face pack and a body wash. Today I will share my experience of Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer that contains the goodness of anti-oxidant rich green tea and mild peeling agent glycolic acid. I got this one last month as my old moisturizer is about to get over. The toner from this range is already reviewed here in High On Gloss. Do check it out. The pump is secured by a transparent plastic lid that shuts tightly with a blunt sound. The pump is attached to the bottle with a screw cap. So, you have the liberty to take out the product either by the pump or by opening up the screw. The moisturizer bottle has a protective outer pack made of cardboard. The product claims, ingredients and other related information are mentioned on both, the moisturizer bottle and the cardboard pack for the convenience of users. Overall the packaging is sturdy, ergonomic and travel-friendly. Color, Texture & Fragrance The moisturizer is light green in color that looks almost white in the swatch. According to the brand the color used here is of food grade. I have used products with food grade color before and their color densities were also of similar kind. The facial moisturizer appears medium thick, neither too runny nor too dense. The consistency is smooth. It blends well on even dehydrated skin. It has a mild fresh floral fragrance to it that I like very much. The smell leaves behind a subtle hint that stays for 1-3 hours. My Skin Type Oily to Combination, Acne-prone My Experience With Plum Green tea Matte Moisturizer I apply this moisturizer twice a day after cleansing and toning my face. Less is more for this product. I just need half a pump of moisturizer for my entire face and neck. It gets absorbed into my skin as I massage my face with outwards circular motion. After a minute or two it sets into dewy matte. As it contains glycolic acid, some people experience a tingling sensation immediately after application. I did not feel anything of that sort. The formula of this one is slightly richer than my Neutrogena Oil Free moisturizer. So, I do not think it will be able to give matte finish in humid summer. I checked the ingredient list in an online comedogenicity checker. It detected one comedogenic ingredient; stearic acid (a plant based fat). Since my skin does not show any bad reaction or acne-bout, I am fine with it. The company have not made any impossible claims with this product and they kept all their promises. In my opinion, a product like this could have been reachable to many more if the price was a bit lower. Does not cause or aggravate acne. Full ingredient list is mentioned Dislikes Costly considering the quantity. Does not give full matte finish. I did not face acne with this moisturizer, it still contains a comedo-genic ingredient, stearic acid which might give blocked pores to some. Summary: 3.75/5 Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer is a nice face moisturizer for oily to combination skin if you can higher your budget a bit. The formula is hydrating and soothing yet not overly moisturizing. It may feel heavy for extremely oily skin in summer but will work well in the colder months. Have you used this face moisturizer? Hi girls, what you looking for? A green tea toner? that too, alcohol free? Oh I see, I guess Plum heard you then. Interested to know further? I am going to talk about Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner. I hope you don’t think, you don’t need a toner, because, you actually might need one while not knowing it. Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner This is an alcohol free toner targeted for all skin types. It mainly contains anti oxidant Green Tea, moisturizing Glycerine, and exfoliating Glycolic Acid. It mildly exfoliates your skin, rejuvenates it and moisturize it. Over a period of time your skin’s texture improves. How did I stumble upon this toner? I have used Keya Seth’s water for oily skin, aromatic skin toner, vichy normaderm pore tightning toner, rose water and some others in past. I am not a regular toner person too, but summers & rainy days, breaks my skin a lot. Few months ago, I was bored of using Vichy Normaderm Toner, I just started hunting for a new toner online. I had used few products from Plum earlier, like its night/day creams, face masks & face washes. While browsing through Plum’s website, I liked green tea infused toner which was devoid of alcohol & parabenes. Plus it also contained glycolic acid. It was an impulsive buy. Price You have to shell out Rs. 390 rupees for 180ml liquid. Buy from Amazon. Packaging It comes in a white sturdy bottle with flip top. Texture, Color & Smell It has clear watery consistency. Initially I clicked a photo to show it’s consistency, but then it looked like water, so I skipped that photo. Its smell is quite pleasant. I think Plum likes to have a particular smell for all the products that come from a single line. The green tea face mask, I used from Plum, used to smell the same as this toner. My Skin Type I have oily, acne prone & sensitive skin. My Experience With Plum Green Tea Toner I bought this during extreme humid days. The first time I opened the flip top of the bottle, I inhaled a refreshing smell. It was very familiar smell. Then I realized, oh it smells exactly the same as that of the Plum green tea clear face mask . On a side note that face mask was a favorite too. Coming back to the toner, I liked the fact that there was no trace of alcohol. When I applied this toner, I felt little sensation, maybe because of the presence of the Glycolic acid in it. I liked that fact too. For me, it was a sign that it has something that could make my skin react in a positive way since the sensation was mild. The only fact I didn’t like about this toner was that my face felt oily within an hour of wearing it, even though I was not wearing any moisturizer. So it made me realize that its not really for extreme oily skins like mine or it should not be used during humid days. If I had normal/ dry skin, this toner could have been my HG toner. After 2 months, when the humid days were over, I tried it again. It actually surprised me by not turning my face oily within an hour. My face did not feel oily until next 2-3 hours. So I decided, this toner needs a second chance. I don’t recall getting acne on its account, since I could not use it much. It’s lying in need-a-second-chance bin. I think I am gonna give it a try this winter. I like it or not, but my acne prone, oily skin likes only alcohols. Weird? Maybe that’s why I am quite satisfied with my current toner. Likes: The main ingredients are so impressive. Green Tea + Glycerine + Glycolic Acid. Green tea is excellent anti oxidant. Glycolic acid boosts dead skin turn over while Glycerine moisturizes skin. Alcohol & Parabene free. Smells very nice. Moisturizing. Will work amazingly for dry/normal skinned beauties. Did not break me out or gave any kind of rashes even though it contains Glycolic acid. Toners generally last long, because you need very little quantity to swipe across your face. This one is no exception. Dislike: Not suitable for oily skin during humid days. Final Words: I am planning to use it in coming winters, since it has got green tea and I am a fan. But dry/normal skin girls, you should definitely give it a try.
