Indian Fashion Industry bloomed with trench coat style dresses after Priyanka Chopra was seen wearing one at Met Gala. Not every celebrity fashion is adaptable in our daily life but, I certainly fell in love with this fashion. This fashion might look bit odd for Indian summer but, I think from August on-wards, this type of dress can be easily incorporated in our wardrobe. I have been a follower of Supernatural series where Castiel always wear a trench coat. Then & there, my love started for this style. I anyway wear trench coat during winter to protect myself from cold waves and I am glad the style is going to stay for long in every season. Coming up to my pick, I was looking for an unique dress for my birthday. Of course A-line & skater dresses were there in funky styles & colors, but I certainly wanted something more off beat. A Trench Coat Style that I spotted on Stalk Buy Love, instantly stole my heart. I wanted it. A must have for my wardrobe. How To Style A Trench Coat Style Dress? As opposed to a skater/A-line/maxi dress, a trench coat style dress looks more formal and needs to be styled in a certain way. Actually you don’t need much accessories to go along with this dress. Similarly a no makeup look is a perfect look for this kind of dress. So let’s have a look on the very essential things that can make you look like a celebrity in a trench coat style dress. How To Choose The Right Trench Coat Style Dress? Now that it’s a dress, experiments are accepted. There are various cuts & design. You need to choose the right type. You have lean long sleeves, go for a sleeveless trench coat style dress, otherwise you can stick to 3/4th sleeves. If you have long nice slender legs, you can choose for a short length dress otherwise you can opt for longer lengths. The color of heels should be based on the color of the dress. I chose peach heels with my peach dress. Black heels anyway would go with any color dress. And What About The Makeup & Hairstyle For A Trench Coat Style Dress? A trench coat style dress asks only minimal makeup. Do your basic & minimal eye makeup with clean brows and nude lipstick. You can use a bronzer if you want to but, keep other things simple and subtle. The best hairstyle for this style of dress is definitely a bun. A messy or a clean, is your choice. You can also wear a pony tail with fringes on your forehead, gives very feminine look. These were the basic points you need to keep in mind while choosing or styling your trench coat style dress. Your Competition Is You. Once you start understanding the meaning of this golden phrase & start following this mantra, you become a better you every single day. But how do you compete with yourself? How often can you do that? How do you really decide which version is better? Today, I am going a bit off track because I have been to wanting to write about this for a long time. Mostly because I wanted to share my experience with you. I count myself as a hard-working and passionate person when it comes to my goals. Yet gloomy days can take anyone down. But I have a sure shot way to come out of those gloomy thoughts with some tips. I have found a way to self motivate myself every single time I find myself procrastinating. Stop Procrastinating: Get Up & Get Going You have been too much into hibernation. Get up now & hit the road. It’s never too late. You can still make it. You are not too young or too old. There are people doing it despite several hurdles. Starting a beauty and makeup blog of mine, while being into the IT sector for about 10 years, was definitely something, a bit unexpected from me. I opted for something I was secretly passionate about. Passion is the key. As long as you have it, you are good. Admit When You Are Wrong I cannot stress enough on the importance of learning from your own mistakes, because when someone else tells you that you are mistaken, you might not respond very well to that. Here is a tweak, if you find it hard to accept your mistake in front of others, don’t do it straight away. Take some time, accept it in your mind and heart. Think out ways to get out of it. Take things slowly. Start working on the things that could make up for your mistake. It works really well with me. Get Out Of Your Cocoon Things might be wrong, but until you start accepting them they are going to stay like that. Accept your mistake or defeat & get out of your shell with a plan B. If plan B fails, don’t worry, we have more alphabets. It’s only about trying harder. In life, we see ups and downs, but they are never constant. Stay ready for everything. Face Your Fear Everybody has them. Some are less bothered while some make a lot of deal out their fears. The first step is to live your fear as often as possible to get it out of your mind. Because it’s all in your mind. I am not asking to pull off stunts like X-factor or Khatron Ke Khiladi here, but something more practical, like approaching people if you are really shy. Yes, it could be as simple as that and as crucial as that. For me, the biggest fear was to come in front of the camera being of introvert nature. But I am dealing with it by facing it every now and then. I am only getting better with every try. Pat Your Back Only you owe to yourself. And only you know the taste of your success. Celebrate your victories no matter how small they are as much as you want to fuel up yourself for the next journey. Your efforts pay at the end, and you deserve that cheerful “YES”. Help Others, Inspire Others It feels so great whenever you help someone in need. It gives immense pleasure and makes you realize you have capabilities beyond your imagination. Plus it always pays you back. Good things come to those who do good things to others selflessly. I will be honest with you, I might never approach someone first to congratulate someone on their success, but I would definitely be the first person, in case he needs help. Express Gratitude The most powerful ingredient to be a better person is to express gratitude with every single thing you receive no matter how small it is. Your feelings are powerful. They attract alike things. If you are happy & saying thank you, you will receive more happiness. Wonderful no? I mean every single word I wrote. Tell me how far have you come to be a better you? What is your favorite time pass on a rainy day? I like to read a romantic fiction while sipping on my tea and munching few crackers. Tip Tip Barsa Pani… I was humming throughout the day. Delhi-NCR is not receiving much of rain even during this monsoon season but from last 2-3 days, there are frequent evening showers treating our body and soul. So the weather is really pleasant and inspires to stay joyful. So yesterday, I pushed myself, dressed up a bit, and posed. Saree love is eternal. I am sure everyone of you must love wearing one.
