NYX has improved its formula for the Round lipsticks and that's why they are known as Extra Creamy Round Lipsticks. The texture is way too creamy that the bullets feel very soft on lips and glides very smoothly across my lips. I just wonder how come it does not bleed while being so damn creamy. It absolutely feels like you are smothering my lips in rich cream. This creamy texture takes away all the dryness of my lips.

Lined Up For Review : Some Glitter & Few Lippies

Hi, Right now am really trying hard to decide if I should review makeup, skin care, hair care products or just write some articles on #thebasicsseries. With that confusion, I was just going through my stash, I realised, I can’t wait any more to review and swatch few lipsticks and recently acquired eye shadow glitter/dust whatever you may call it. Have a glimpse… This is going to be the first for me. I have never used a loose eye shadow dust or chunky glitter. Really excited about it. This is from Love Atti Cosmetics. Have seen it a lot on Amazon and some other websites. Maybelline Color Show lippies great grabs as they are moisturising & pigmented. They are every day lipsticks at very affordable price. Also the shade range is vast. I have used quite shades from NYX Round Lipstick range, not all are same in pigmentation. These lipsticks are quite creamy and really have almost comparable performance as Maybelline Color Show lipsticks. So stay tuned for the reviews and swatches. Ciao.

NYX Pro Lip Cream Palette – The Plums : Swatches & Review

Presenting you the plums, NYX Pro Lip Cream Palette. The newest addition to my stash. It is so pretty I didn’t want to dip the lip brush into it. But, then at the same time, I could not resist my self. Let’s go to the detailing part. About NYX Pro Lip Cream Palette – The Plums Pucker up—your lips are in for a treat! Our new Pro Lip Cream Palettes feature six expertly coordinated color combinations of intensely pigmented lip creams. Wear each shade alone or blend ’em all together for a totally customised look! Price Rs. 1500 for 6 different lip creams weighing approx. 1.6gm each. Ingredients Variants The Nudes The Pinks The Reds The Plums I got the plums. Packaging It comes in a sleek packaging with 6 compartments for 6 different colours and a transparent lid. No applicator or mirror is provided. The packaging still looks classy and is quite travel friendly but you must carry a brush and mirror with you. Texture & Smell I didn’t notice any smell while applying it. Also did try to sniff it, but still nothing noticeable. The texture is absolute creamy. It is moisturising, but if you have utterly dry or chapped lips, wear a lip balm beneath. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the colours is good. The lighter shade felt little less pigmented than the darker counter parts. But that’s quite obvious. Pigmentation is still quite good and build able. They leave stain behind when wiped off. That shows that the palette is quite pigmented. While this is not true for NYX round lippies which I have used in the past. Finish Since it is a cream lip palette, the finish is satin but not glossy. I like wearing lip colours matte, so I generally blot my lips with a tissue. But I quite like the finish of these lip creams, and I do not blot it.</> Colours In The Palette- The Plums Since you already know, there are 6 different colours provided in this cream palette which belong to the same colour family- Plum. There are 2 cool toned pinks, a blood red, a cool toned red, a deep brown, a deep plum. Longevity The staying power of these lip creams is decent. They survive a small meal or in between sips. On average they stay on lips for approx. 4 hours, then go away leaving a stain. I always like such staining lip colours. Even though, they transfer little bit to the objects they touch, but still manage to stay. Likes Creamy texture. 6 colours in one palette. Colour pay off is good. No foul smell. Does not dry out lips. Perfect colours for winter. Sleek packaging. Decent staying power. Dislikes No applicator or mirror provided. Some shades look similar when applied on lips. Pricey. Summary : 4/5 This is a very nice seasonal lip colour update. You get 6 colours that are very wearable all season long. Even though it sounds pricey at once, but turns out to be economical for the quality of the lip creams provided. NYX Lip Cream Palette In India : New Makeup Alert

It’s not been long since I did a new makeup alert post. And I am again back with another alert. I think Nykaa has tied up with NYX to launch it’s products in India every week. I am quite a fan of NYX lip products, hence I was fascinated when I saw the lip cream palette and I just murmured, ‘Please God, let it be an affordable one.’ Did God hear? I don’t know, you decide. Price Rs. 1500 on Nykaa.com and about Rs. 1950 at Amazon.in for 6 colours in a single palette. Shades There are four palettes divided in 4 colour families. The Nudes The Pinks The Reds The Plums Analytically, a NYX Lip Cream retails about 600 bucks. With this palette, you are getting 6 for 15oo bucks. That sounds economical to me. But then shelling out 1500 at once also makes me uneasy. What you think, will you go for these palettes? I am currently working on my own Lip Palette, will share once finished. Love.

Lipstick Dilemma : Maybelline Super Stay Or NYX Plush Gel Lipstick

Arrggghh,, I am getting crazy here. I am getting so much confused between Maybelline Super Stay lipsticks and NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks. I am so wanting to buy some. Just not able to decide, which brand/shades I should go for? Why should I go for Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Colours A lot of shades present to choose from, about 12 I guess. There is variety. All shades are so pretty. The colors could be worn in matte as well as creamy finish. They are super staying. It is cheaper than NYX newly launched lippies. Why should I go for NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks They are the talk of the town. The packaging is sleek and attractive. They are hydrating and gives creamy finish. Why I am dicey about Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Colours? The cold evening of winters and you are wiping your lips religiously with tons of makeup remover, and still seeing stained lips. Very dreadful thought. Why I am dicey about NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks They are pricey. Before these lippies were launched, Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Colours, seemed pricey. Retailing at 625 bucks, ofcourse NYX are costlier. You would say there is a difference of few bucksonly. It’s not about the difference, its about the whole 625 bucks. Maybelline Super Stay Lip Colours are being sold by Amazon on discount. Also only 6 shades out of 12 of NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks have been launched in India. That’s so sad. Also, the reds that have been launched in India, are just so similar. Conclusion I have not decided yet, maybe I will get few from both the brands. But yeah, it will be like shelling out 2-3 k. A lot of budget imbalance. Will let you know. Update I got NYX Pro Lip Cream Palette – The Plums instead. What you guys think? Love.

NYX Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo in Almond/Light : Swatches & Review

Post By: Sam Sheokand I am not that much into hardcore makeup (contouring & highlighting), but when Nisha, offered me to do a post on her newly grabbed NYX Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo, I was more than excited. Read on my review on this tube. NYX Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo in Almond/Light- SHFD02 Use our sculpt & highlight Face Duo for an effortless transformation! Our liquid formula has buildable coverage and will blend seamlessly for a flawless contour. Ingredient: Water/Aqua, Trimethylsioxysilicate, Trimethylsiloxyphenyl, ?Dimethicone, Isononyl Isononanote, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Silica, Sorbtian Olivate, Euphorbia Cerifera, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Cocos Nucifera, Tocophryl Acetate, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Alumina, Phenoxyethanol. Packaging: I like tube packaging specially because they are easy to carry around. NYX Duo, also comes in a tube with wand. Its just so easy to apply and toss back into your travel pouch. Perfect for touch ups too. Make sure to open either highlighter or the contouring end at a time, otherwise you will spill the other. Shade: Almond/Light- SHFD02 . This particular shade will suit light to light medium shades. The highlighter shade is yellow toned while the contouring shade is Almond, the final finish is little orange-ish. Smell: Very artificial non pleasant smell. But you don’t smell it until you put the wand under your nose. Consistency & pigmentation: Oil free smooth liquid. I generally use Maybelline Fit Me concealer as under eye highlighter too, I find the NYX DUO’s highlighter shade similar to maybelline’s concealer. The final finish is also the same. NYX Duo’s highlighter’s pigmentation is as good as maybelline’s concealer.I don’t use a concealer for my under eyes, when I am using this highlighter. Coming to the contour shade, the pigmentation is good enough to make an instant difference. I found the texture of the contouring shade bit thicker than the highlighter. Staying Power: The product stays put for 4-5 hours on my oily skin. On Normal-Dry skin it will last longer. Finish: Since the product is oil free, it gives matte but natural finish. Also it depends how beautifully you blend it. I used sponges/ beauty blenders to blend it. Likes: Convenient, sleek and travel friendly packaging. Highlighter can work as an under eye concealer too. Buildable coverage. Natural finish. Oil free. No breakouts noticed. Staying power is decent. Perfect consistency to work with. Dislikes: Only three shades available in India. Pricey. Summary: A 2 in 1 highlighting & contouring product, which gives oil free natural finish and buildable coverage. Little pricey though. Good for beginners. Finally it’s here- NYX DUO

I was trying to get a hold on the newly launched NYX Sculpt & Highlight Duo, from a while. When I saw it on Nykaa last week, I ordered it immediately. I wanted to use it while getting ready for my Karva Chauth Night. But It didn’t arrive on time. Today I was just writing a new post for HighOnGloss.com, I received a call from some courier guy that he is just outside my house to deliver my Nykaa Order. I was relived that it finally arrived. Now I will have to wait till Diwali, to flaunt it. With NYX Duo, I also got 2 other products, a new mascara & a face pack. NYX Duo is a 2 in 1 product. It is designed to take care of the sculpting & highlighting needs of your face. They are launched in 3 shades in India. I got mine in Almond/Light (SHFD02). I am not really fan of Maybelline Mascaras, they clump a lot. My current L’Oreal Mascara was getting drier day by day, so I thought let’s give these falses a chance. Last but the very trustworthy is Biotique Bio Clove Face Pack. It is specially formulated for oily & acne prone skin, & I can vouch for it’s effectiveness.
