Indian Ayurveda states few herbs that work great for hair health. Bhringraj is one of those herbs. Bhringraj is mainly used to prevent premature gray hair and hair loss. It is as good as using Hibiscus powder for healthy hair. You can use Bhringraj alone or by mixing with other herbs. I have been using Bliss Of Earth 100% Pure Natural Bhringraj Powder from some time now. I use it by mixing it with Henna, Hibiscus Powder or some times alone. Monsoon always induce hair fall problem every year. It is important to use homemade hair packs to keep hair roots strong and scalp free of infections. Keeping these things in mind I used this Bhringraj powder from Bliss Of Earth, which is an organic brand delivering pure products. Bliss Of Earth 100% Pure Natural Bhringraj Powder Known as Eclipta Prostrata, it is extracted from Bhringraj plant by mortar & pestle method (like we use the traditional device in kitchen for crushing and grinding). Bhringraj balances Pita Dosha in body and is used to treat baldness/loss of hair by stimulating new hair. The powder can be used alone or mixed with other herbs/juices. Packaging This is a dry powder with a shelf life of 36 months. Very impressive. It comes in a light brown colored opaque zip lock pouch. I had to transfer Hibiscus power from Indus Valley, because of the poor packaging. But Bliss Of Earth had done really thoughtful packaging. A zip lock pouch is easy to use. Also it prevents getting moisture or air getting inside the pack. Hence the efficacy of the products is maintained for long. Fragrance & Texture This powder has a faint herbal smell. Not much noticeable unless you want to. The powder itself is finely grounded. It makes a very smooth paste when mixed with water. No lumps formed and it becomes very easy to apply on hair and rinse out of the hair. My Experience Hair fall during monsoon is something I can’t escape. I think I should start taking care of my hair before monsoon start every year. Luckily I received few powders from Bliss Of Earth(posted over Instagram). Very kind of them. I have been using these powders in various DIYs. The very first powder I started using from the brand was Bhringraj. Because I was going crazy with hair fall back then. I was desperate to try out some homemade packs using this powder. This is what I do. Bhringraj – Water Paste The simplest paste is Bhringraj with water. Sometimes I replace water with curd/milk/honey/aloe vera juice. I apply this paste only on myscalp to treat itchy scalp and hair fall problem. This surely relives me of scalp infections. I have seen a relief in hair fall since I started using this hair pack. This hair pack alone can work on bald patches. Bhringraj – Henna Paste I color my hair with Henna since I have gray hair. I mix Henna and Bhringraj in equal parts with water/curd/milk/honey/aloe vera juice. I also add some essential oils as Tea Tree/ Lavender oil. This pack is multi purpose. Henna & Bhringraj is a deadly combination to cover & prevent premature hair graying. You need to stay persistant with the application to see long term and permanent resulys. All Herb Hair Pack This I have been planning to come up with a DIY. It takes a lot of Herbs but is very effective to combat all the hair problems. I use Bhirngraj Powder in this hair pack. Summary Bliss Of Earth 100% Pure Natural Bhringraj Powder is an affordable & economical way to good hair care. It is anti inflammatory. It aids in hair regrowth, prevents hair loss & premature gray hair. I can use it in different hair packs. My hair fall is under control now. I would not say it’s only due to this powder, but it definitely has great role to play in my hair care routine. It is easy to use and rinse out of the hair. Fragrance & Texture As I opened the pack, I inhaled the fresh smell of Hibiscus flower. It kind of proves the authenticity of the product. After going through such vigorous process of cleansing & grounding, the powder still smells so good. This is a powder, but not as fine as Sandalwood Powder is. It is like coarse sand or wood powder. The texture of the powder is like this because, the whole flower is grounded and not just the flower petals. If you have used Forest Essential ubtans, it has same texture like that. It can be mixed with water, milk, curd, lemon juice, rose water, toner anything you want. It will form a nice paste. How To Use The powder can be used in multiple ways for skin & hair. Night Cleanser Make a paste of this powder with water, curd, lemon juice, rose water, toner, milk etc. depending upon your skin type. Apply the paste on face in a light layer. Massage gently for few minutes & wash it off with water. I have been using it as my night cleanser from about 2 weeks. I mix 1 spoon of Hibiscus powder with rose water or water. And wash off after massaging it for a while. Pat dry my face and apply few drops of Indus Valley Skin Care Oil while giving a bit of massaging. As a Scrub + Mask This powder, due to it’s coarse texture, can be used as a scrub and mask too. Make a paste with anything runny & apply on you face. Leave it there for few minutes & then start massaging it giving your skin a nice scrubbing action. This works as a 2 in 1 scrub + mask. In a Hair Pack Hibiscus Powder’s benefits off hair care are well knows. To strengthen your hair roots, prevent immature grey hair & hair loss, use this powder in a hair pack. You can also mix it with curd to condition your hair well. You can mix it with Henna to impart a better color to your hair. As a Body Ubtan Make a paste of this powder with water and apply on your body, leave for few minutes & then scrub the dead skin away while massaging it to improve blood circulation. Skip applying soap or body wash. You will notice glowing skin after your shower. When Hibiscus powder is applied on skin or scalp, it gives a soothing effect to it. It is anti inflammatory hence, takes away redness & scaliness of skin. The Hibiscus powder is also consumed to treat various ailments such as liver malfunctioning & constipation, but, I would not suggest to do so without consulting your doctor. My Experience I am very happy that I got to try this natural & organic Hibiscus powder. I already was a fan of Hibiscus powder, but it is very difficult to find a 100% pure product. In the past I have used Hibiscus powder from various brands, and that’s how, I can tell, how authentic & effective this product is. I use this powder in my skin care & hair care. This has surely simplified my skin care routine, specially when I am travelling. I do not have to carry separate cleansers, scrubbers or masks. One product does it all. Skin is free of impurities, redness or flakiness. I have not experienced any acne breakout on account of this powder, while Forest Essential Ubtan broke me out very badly when I used it few years ago. Whenever I am in Ultra-DIY-Mode, I mix Hibiscus Powder & Sandalwood power (that too from Indus Valley), with water/rose water to form a paste and use it as a soothing & clarity mask. It makes my skin glowy & calm. It’s one of my Summer special mask (I am working on this post). I also like the fact that the powder is very affordable despite of being 100% natural & organic. Otherwise, the other organic products are very costly and the organic brands keep on raising it’s products’ prices (am talking about you Forest Essential 🙂 ) Likes 100% natural & organic Hibiscus Powder.
