Hello Pretty Girls, I am back with another parabene free lipstick from Johara Rich Creme Lip Color Range. Saucy Red is a berry red color which is one of the most favorite shade of Indian women for all skin types. Johara Rich Creme Lip Color range is highly moisturizing and shiny range. I usually prefer matte shades because I have oily skin. Shiny lips does not go well with a shiny face. So I prefer to blot it down bit with tissue. It also makes it stay for longer than it is. This is my second lipstick from Johara Rich Creme range. I have used Poppy Coral form the same range. So let’s find out, what is there to like about this lipstick. Johara Creme Rich Lip Color Johara presents high in moisture lipsticks that are Parabens free, Lanoline free, Mineral Oil free & Nano-ingredient free. This rich lip color has rare Ricin Oil & Vitamin E to hydrate & nourish your lips. The lip color comes in 12 dazzling shades to suit your work place and party mood. Price Rs. 395 for 4.5g. Ingredients Johara Creme Rich Lip Color – Shades This lip color comes in 12 shades as listed below: Cranberry, Cherry Red, Cocoa Delight, Grape Wine, Mahogany, Pink Flash, Pink Petals, Poppy Coral, Princess, Saucy Red, Sunny Squash, Tempting Fudge. Shade – Saucy Red It is a beautiful beery shade. It would look good on every skin tone be it fair, medium or dark. I generally do not like to wear berry shades that are glossy like this. This would be too shiny for a day outing but would do justice to a glamorous look at night. Packaging The lipstick comes inside a black card box. This is a signature packaging from Johara. It looks classy. The actual lip color is packed inside a dull metallic packaging with gold interior. The bullet looks very pretty as you open the cap. You will find shade name at the bottom of the bullet. All other is information including ingredients, price etc is printed over the outer packaging. The packaging is sturdy & travel friendly. Fragrance & Texture I hardly notice any scent from lipsticks, but this is a highly scented lip color from Johara. It smells chocolaty sweet. Though I don’t taste anything weird on my lips after wearing it. Even after wearing for half an hour, I can feel a fainted chocolate smell. Since the smell is pleasant, I don’t mind it. This is a rich in moisture lip color, hence it glides very smoothly on my lips. I do not need to use a lip balm underneath this lipstick. The texture makes it give a satin smooth finish to my lips. I can blot the shine off my lips when I do not want it. Due to creamy nature of the bullet, it can’t stand heat much. Also I try not to apply much pressure otherwise it leaves behind little chunks. Pigmentation Pigmentation of the lip color is decent. Two swipes gives nice color pay off. I never really use one swipe of anything. It just does not give me satisfaction. The lipstick does not look patchy at all. The color is evenly distributed. Longevity It is a moisturizing lipstick, hence it transfers a lot in the first hour of application. It can’t survive meals, you would loose it completely or at least from the center of your lips a very dreadful look that is. If you are not having meals then also it won’t survive more than 3 hours without touch ups. Likes Creamy texture. Enriched with Ricin Oil & Vitamin E. Hydrates lips & does not accentuate fine lines. Gives satin smooth finish finish. Gives nice color pay off. Nice sturdy packaging. Has a nice fragrance. This shade suitable for all skin types. Free of parabenes, Lanoline, Mineral Oil & Nano-ingredient. Dislikes Can not survive meals. Staying power is low. Pricey for the performance it gives. Melts easily. Will I repurchase Johara Creme Rich Lip Color? No. I received in one of my beauty box. I would never go buy this lipstick for 300 bucks. The price is not worth the staying power it offers. Though the shade range is vast but the colors are very repetitive. Summary : 4/5 Highly moisturizing lipsticks have a tendency to transfer easily hence does not stay on lips for long. This lipstick is not a must have, but it is okay in terms of pigmentation. If you do not mind frequent touch ups, you can go for this range. For those ultra glossy nights it will be your perfect companion but then you also this particular shade is beautiful and suitable for all skin types. More from the brand? Hi, Would you like to know about my current favorite lipstick? It’s Lotus Make-Up ECOSTAY Butter Matte Lip Color – Pink Petal Long Lasting lip Color. I grabbed it recently and I am loving it. Lotus Make-Up Ecostay was launched back in 2014. It consisted of Lipsticks, foundation, primer, eye shadow and every thing you ever need for a flawless look. The range still exist but we have witnessed some change in the packaging and formula. Hope you enjoy the review. Lotus Make-Up ECOSTAY Butter Matte Lip Color The Butter Matte Lip Color range is enriched with Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E & Shea Butter. The formula contains triple moisturizer hence you get buttery soft lips with each application the formula is intensely pigmented and rich. Price Rs. 625 for 4.2g. Hurts the pocket. Available on Nykaa & Other leading shopping websites. Also easily available on Lotus counter & local cosmetics shops. Ingredients No ingredient list provided. Packaging The lipstick comes in metallic card box. The card box has nice flowery design and also contains features of the lipstick. Inside you find a shining silver colored lipstick bullet. The cap of the lipstick has some purple colored flowery design imprinted over it. The packaging is very beautiful, sturdy& travel friendly. It kind of gives a luxurious feeling. Lotus Make-Up ECOSTAY Butter Matte Lip Color Shades Wicked Brown, Orange On, Burgundy Bliss, Red Rave, Wine Wish, rough Belle, Brown Bella, Rosetta, Pink Petal, Magenta Mist, Plum Pearl, Peach Pamela, Pink Precious, Sandstone, Orange Opal. Shade – Pink Petal It is a nice pink shade. It is cool toned pink but not utterly bright. It would look flattering on every skin tone. Wheatish skin tones will get most favored. The shade can be built upon, to achieve ultra glam look. Or you can keep it bit muted for everyday look. Fragrance & Texture Honestly, I just can’t smell anything out of it. But sometimes, there are sweet hints. That’s all. No weird, over the top chocolaty sweet smell. It is almost fragrance free. Texture is real creamy. It contains Shea Butter, Vitamin E & Jojoba Oil. Hence you can really expect some good moisturization for lips. It literally feels buttery smooth lips. No need to put lip balm underneath the lipstick. It takes care of all the dryness. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the lipstick is decent. With one stroke it gives semi opaque coverage while another swipe gives nice color. It’s a light shade, it does not have that much pigmentation as much we actually expect from a 625 bucks lipstick. So I would like to give it benefit of doubt. At the store though, the lipstick showed great pigmentation. Maybe the SA used quite a force upon the tester. While I am being ultra careful not to spoil the shape of the lipstick. Finish It give purely matte finish. Even though it contains triple moisturizing agents and feels like butter on lips, it still gives matte finish. that is really impressive. If you remember, my last lipstick review, Colorbar feel the rain gives semi matte finish since it is moisturizing too. But this lipstick from Louts, despite of being moisturizing, gives nice matte finish. Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte range also gives matte finish but is 50% less miosturizing than Lotus Make-up Ecostay Butter Lip Color Range. Longevity It stays on my lips for decent time. It does not go away easily because of the finish. At most it has stayed on my lips for 4-5 hours, when I ate small meals in between. After about 5 hours, I could see the intensity of the color was bit down, but my lips were evenly pigmented with pastel pink color. I liked the fact that it does not go patchy or goes off the lips in patches. Summary ❤❤❤❤ I really like this range of lipstick from Louts Make-up Ecostay Butter Lip Color. It has some nice colors to offer. The lipsticks are highly moisturizing. Does not dry out lips or settle into fine lines. the color is long lasting and does not come off in weird way. It is pricey, no argument. I would have grabbed few more shades from the range, given the range was more affordable. Also the ingredient list is missing. Have you tried this range of lipsticks? Good Morning! Today, I am going to talk about my recent purchase from Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick in 001 Thunder. Feel The Rain is a limited edition matte lipstick range from Colorbar. If you know me even from a while, you must be knowing am a lipstick lover. I lust for lipsticks. I don’t get rest until I have at least one lipstick form a newly launched range. What colors do I prefer? Pink, Coral, Red! The Browns are my last preference. They don’t gel well with my skin tone. While the brighter shades really do some black magic. So the shade I opted for was Thunder which is a Coral shade – a rich coral. Wheatish skin tone really brightens up with coral lipsticks, if you have ever noticed. Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick from Colorbar contains rich oils such as Castor Oil, Argan Oil, Morniga Oil, Jojoba Oil which restore moisture in lips while improving texture of the lips. Comes in 7 exciting shades. Available online as well as offline. Packaging The packaging of the lipstick is very enchanting. There is rain drop like texture over the outer packaging as well as on the color bullet inside. Very unique, I would say. The range is monsoon themed, hence the packaging. The particular shade that I own – Thunder, has bright red exterior with gold interiors. The color bullet inside is shaped beautifully. Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick Shades The range is a limited edition, hence only 7 shades are available. 01 Thunder, 02 Storm, 03 Lightening , 04 Drizzle, 05 Shower, 06 Damp, 07 Hail. Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick 001 Thunder A very beautiful bright shade. A Coral shade. But it can turn bright red upon application. I tell you it’s the richest coral shade I have ever used. It is suitable for all the skin tones, just make sure not to go overboard while applying it, less is more with this range. Fragrance & Texture Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick 001 Thunder has a rich textured lipstick it is. Ultra creamy in consistency – explains the ingredient list containing so many oils. It is highly moisturizing but does not go patchy or bleed. I do not notice any fragrance as such until I try to. It contains a very mild sweet smell that is way too faint to notice unintentionally. Pigmentation The rich texture results into high pigmentation. One swipe across my lips, gives an opaque finish to the lips which are slightly pigmented. The second swipe seals off nice color, and intensifies the color on my lips. Sometimes, the color looks bright red if swiped multiple times. Longevity The staying power of Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick Thunder is commendable. It stays for long like 5-6 hours, while surviving meals in between. Though hit does transfer since it is creamy in texture, but the color stays and does not bleed or wear off in patches. Even after 5-6 hours it leaves behind a nice tint. Finish The finish is not complete matte initially or until it transfers a bit. Since the texture is creamy, the lipstick gives semi matte finish. I blot it with a napkin lightly to go completely matte or to stop it transferring to other objects that touch my lips. Rating : 4/5 Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick 001 Thunder is highly moisturizing, goes smoothly on lips, gives intense color pay off and delivers long stay. The range is bit costly, but the packaging really attracts. This is a limited edition range. I would like to grab few more shades from this range if I get some nice discount. On average, I own at least 3-4 lipsticks of single shade from various brands. I really can make out bit difference in the shades to justify my purchase. My hubby says, that’s my excuse. I am going to write about 2 beauties from the latest launch from Lakme – Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte, nick named as MASABALIPS, since the lip pouts are created in collaboration with Masaba Gupta. I wonder how Lakme is coming up with so many new lip colors every month. I could not resist the colorful & funky packaging the chubby lipsticks come packaged into. Let’s not wait any more and jump straight into a pond of color & intensity- Lakme Lip Pout. Lakme Absolute Lip Pouts Matte Masaba Lip Color This is a limited edition & exclusive collection of vibrant & matte crayon lip colors. The collection is designed by Masaba, hence the name, Masabalips… experience & explore the rich creamy textured matte lip crayons in 10 exciting & vibrant shades. Price Rs. 750 for 3.7 g. Packaging I would say, funky & chubby. The chubby lipsticks or crayon lipsticks whatever you like to call them, come in retractable /twist-up colorful crayon like packaging. Glad that the crayons need not to be sharpened, as they are retractable. Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte Masaba Lip – Bubble Pink Comes in a light blue & pink themed packaging where the blue color depicts of the sky while clouds are baby pink with few hot pink balloons floating over them. The outer card box of Bubble Pink is all yellow with splashes of hot pink color. Very vibrant, I tell you. Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte Masaba Lip Color – Cotton Candy, is rather a brown-black-mustard color themed crayon lipstick with some zigzag pattern while the cap of the crayon has few musical symbols printed over it. It looks interesting. The outer packaging of Cotton Candy is also same as the crayon. Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte Masaba Lip Color Shades Hot Chocolate, Sugar-n-Spice, Bubble Pink, Orange Candy, Role-a-Cola, Cotton Candy, Hot Pink Queen, Cherry Bite, Caramel Toffee, Smokey Bite Shade Description I got only 2 shades of Masaba Lips, because, I recently shopped a lot from Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte range. Just to test the texture & performance, I got Bubble Pink & Cotton Candy, since I loved the shade names. Bubble Pink As the name suggests, it’s a bubblegum pink, a cool toned pink, my all time favorite pink. It’s a fabulous shade and won’t wash you out. It would flatter every skin tone. Very pretty shade. Cotton Candy It is beautiful peachy brown shade. A versatile nude shade. I have been wearing it almost every day. This is my current favorite every day lipstick. Fragrance & Texture Maybe it’s just me but, the crayons smell like chocolates mildly, a plus point for me. Texture wise the lipsticks are very creamy, more creamy than Lakme Enrich Crayons & Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte series. They glide on my lips like butter & stays there with the same level of creaminess for hours. Pigmentation Very high. Love the color pay off these lippies have been giving. I think for the price, they must deliver the same level of pigmentation & performance. The color is very intense, one swipe and your lips get an opaque layer of color. But just because the texture is so creamy & smooth, I like to glide them again and again and again… !!! Longevity Stays like forever. I really mean it. The crayons can survive full meals. It does transfer a bit (maybe because I put so many layers), but the intensity does not reduce/fade. I have worn it for at least 5-6 hours, with no smudges or melt down. I retouched the formula & I was again set for another couple of hours. I think this is very commendable performance for a moisturizing lipstick. Before this, I have experienced such kind of performance from SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks. Finish It’s matte. Completely & utterly matte. Fabulously matte. It’s not that accentuating-fine-lines matte though. The creamy formula takes care that the lips stay nourished but the finish is matte. Overall, Pigmentation, longevity, packaging & finish are up to the mark. I feel if you can really overlook the price, it’s a great grab, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a limited edition collection, there are only 10 shades, that’s heartbreaking too. Hope Lakme comes with more shades in the range soon. ❤❤❤❤❤ Would you go for such expensive but performing lipsticks? Does price matter when your lipstick love takes a hike?
