Hi Girls. Am I the only one who is feeling that winter is bidding goodbye? I am just not ready for summers yet. Please God, make this winter season last little longer. I am just not done yet. Okay I will stop now, let’s hope God would listen. Before the cold season is totally over, let me tell you about another Cocoa Butter body lotion. The lotion is from Himalaya Herbals, our very trusted brand. Himalaya Herbals is one of the oldest Indian brand with huge skin and hair care lines. Also, since his birth, I am using Himalaya’s baby products for Aarav. His skin and hair are healthy. I have found that Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter are highly effective in keeping dry skin moisturised and healthy. Winter makes my hands and body really dry, and I lean on to Cocoa Butter based products to keep it calm. So let me tell you what you can expect from the Cocoa Butter Lotion from Himalaya. About Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion Himalaya says that this lotion targets very dry skin. It moisturises and heals dry skin. The brand claims that this lotion is a luxurious blend of carefully selected botanical that intensively moisturises skin and provides essential nutrition to our skin. The lotion is enriched with HYDRA- NUTRI Balance which works three fold. Hydration– It locks natural moisture within the skin and provides the required nutrition. Also skin’s own ability to absorb moisture and lock it within increases. Nutrition – Cocoa Butter repairs and moisturizes skin while improving skin texture. Wheat Germ Oil – Wheat Germ Oil contains Vitamin E which makes skin more elastic. It is Hypoallergenic which means it has been tested and is not likely to cause any kind of allergy. Packaging It comes in Himalaya’s signature white bottle with green cap packaging. There is graphical representation of cocoa beans getting submerged into cream, depicting the making of this lotion. There is also a cream version of this product which comes in tub packaging. Colour, Texture & Smell Even though the lotion is Cocoa Butter based, but it is not sticky or oily. Once absorbed, there are oily finger stains on my laptop keyboard, only smooth, moisturised and sweet smelling skin. The colour of this lotion is something between off white and white. My Experience No matter how many body lotions I own, I still grab another if I like the packaging and the ingredients. I have something for Cocoa smell. This was another reason I picked this body lotion last year and loved using it. This year too, it made it’s way to my bathroom shelve. The lotion contains really impressive ingredients. Cocoa Butter is known for it’s repairing and moisturising properties. Wheat Germ Oil is another wonderful ingredient which contains Vitamin E providing excellent anti-ageing properties t skin. My skin becomes really dry during winter and cries for heavy duty moisturization. Himalaya’s Cocoa butter body lotion really helps reviving my skin. It definitely is an affordable and effective body lotion. It gets easily absorbed, and is nothing like a heavy oil based body lotion. There is no oily or greasiness afterwords. The lotion is little thick but surprisingly gets absorbed really fast into the skin. It leaves skin moisturised and calm. Moisturised skin looks healthy and glowy. My skin stays moisturised for long hours. I do not need to re apply it until later in the evening. There is no stretchy feeling or dry lines. It does what it promises to do. Likes Contains Cocoa Butter & Wheat Germ Oil. Even though it contains heavy ingredients, it gets absorbed into skin very easily. Skin feels smooth and soft. Skin stays moisturised for long hours. Hypo allergic. Dermatologically tested. Affordable & easily available. Dislikes Since the lotion is little thick it gets little tedious to take out the lotion out of the narrow nozzle sometimes. Also it tends to get deposited within the nozzle and needs to be cleaned every now and then. Summary : 4.75/5 It is a definitely a great body lotion during winter season for all skin types to stay moisturised all day long. It contains the goodness of Cocoa Butter & Wheatgerm Oil. Last week I stumbled upon another cocoa rich body lotion when I visited the local Vishal Megamart at Dwarka Sector 7. The body lotion was on an introductory offer. I got a pair of 100ml body lotions only for Rs. 99 i.e. got 200ml product only for 99 bucks. I would have picked it up even without any offer because, I have used Joy body lotion before which was really good, secondary, it smelled as good as Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Lotion does. About Joy Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Body Lotion With Cocoa & Shea Butter Specially formulated with pure cocoa butter to offer extra rich nourishment to the skin with a long lasting effect. Cocoa Butter helps nourish the deepest layers, keeping skin firm and healthy. Luxuriously creamy Shea Butter leaves skin soft and glowing with health. Price Rs. 75 for 100ml, I got two, 100 ml bottles in Rs. 99 as an introductory offer. Great deal huh? Ingredients Aqua, Mineral oil, Glycerin, Glyceryl, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearic acid, Dimethicone, Methyl Parabene, Propyl Parabene, Lancolin Andydrous, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Complex Fruit Extracts, Propylene Glycol, Gragrance, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Butylated, Hydroxy Toulene, Acrylates Alkyl Acrylate Crospolymer. Packaging Comes in a chocolate/coffee coloured plastic bottle with a flap on top to dispose the lotion. The packaging looks good but I am not sure how long the flap is gonna stick with the rest of the body, it’s gonna break off very soon. Texture, Colour & Smell Texture is creamy hence moisturizing but no sticky at all. The colour of this lotion is creamy/off white, can’t really figure out the exact colour. It smells something in between a dark chocolate (cocoa) & coffee. It lingers on skin for a while, loving it. My Views I am glad I picked it up, because, it very good. It’s almost as good as Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Lotion which is my HG body lotion. The lotion is highly moisturising since it contains Cocoa and Shea butter, which make it very effective in moisturising. I like the texture is runny, creamy & gets easily absorbed. It does not leave behind any stickiness or greasy feeling. I can wear it on my hands and start typing on my laptop without depositing any oil on the keyboard. I use it once in the morning after shower and again little bit before getting into bed. I am using this in place of Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Lotion, and I am facing no dry skin issues. Skin stays moisturised for quite long. I apply this lotion on my hands each time I wash them since they feel dry, but that’s reasonable. I like how nice it smells. I don’t find any difference in the smell of this lotion when compared to the smell of Vaseline total Moisture Cocoa Lotion. I will repurchase this lotion again, since it’s been quite a while am using Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Lotion. It will be a nice change. Likes Creamy texture. Quick absorbing formula. Contains goodness of Cocoa & Shea butter. No greasiness/ oiliness left behind. Skin is well moisturised. Skin looks radiant and glowy. Affordable. Dislikes It contains parabenes. The flap of the bottle needs an improvement. Summary : 4.5/5 This is highly moisturising, nice smelling & affordable body lotion from Joy. Skin stays soft, glowy and radiant for the day. It’s time to haul up deep moisturising body lotions. Today I am going to write about such a body lotion which is highly moisturising yet easy on pocket too. It’s Joy. These two ingredients are known for their moisturising properties. Almond oil & Honey also make skin soft and glowy. I have used Nivea Body Milk, which is meant for very dry skin. I have loved it to the core. With Joy’s body lotion I did not have that much expectations. I got it last year since it was available in a sample size. When I used Joy’s body lotion, I felt like, its nothing less than Nivea’ body lotion. It is highly moisturising. Texture is smooth & creamy. Smell is heavenly. Absorbs within seconds. Coming to the after effects, skin feels & stay moisturised for 3-4 hours. Then I re-apply if I feel my skin is getting very dry. Skin looks nourished. There are no dry lines/ stretchy feeling. Skin’s texture looks & feels smooth too. Skin glows. I like the fact that this body lotion is available in various sizes. It’s available in 100ml, 300ml & 500ml sizes. Likes: Highly moisturising. Dry skin goes away with first application. Contains goodness of Almond Oil, Honey & Wheatgerm. Makes skin smooth & glowy. Creamy & non sticky consistency. Absorbs fast. Affordable. Available in various sizes. Smells very nice. Easily Available. Contains sunscreen. Dislikes: Skin stays moisturised for 3-4 hours. Need to re-apply afterwords.
