Shimmery highlighters are not my thing because I have oily skin and most of the time my face has blemishes. So it definitely is a bad idea to use shimmer on my face except, shimmery eye shadows which I totally love. NYX Face Duo serves me fine to contour and highlight my face, but recently I spotted Miss Claire Illuminator which has an exact packaging like NYX Born To Illuminator, it kind of clicked. I bought it with Miss Claire Lip Creams. Miss Claire Born To Glow is a dupe of NYX Illuminator by the same tag, which is again a dupe of NARS Illuminator. So basically Miss Claire Illuminator is a dupe of NARS illuminator, if Math’s basic principles apply here. Out of the 3, Miss Claire one is the most affordable, but there is no compromise in the quality. About Miss Claire Born To Glow Illuminator Base Miss Claire introduces about 6 shades of Born to Glow illuminator . Ranging from white to tan covering all skin tones. Miss Claire claims that this is a lightweight liquid illuminator that gives skin a refreshed glow and beautiful highlight. The illumintaor contains prominent shimmery particles with dense consistency so that you can achieve desired look by blending it completely or partly. The brand also says that the illuminator can be worn alone or over a base foundation. Price The price of all the Miss Claire products vary depending upon the place you buy it from. There is nothing printed over the packaging about the price, I got it for Rs. 250 but you might get it for cheaper prices if you are in Karol Bagh Delhi from a shop called Impressions. Online websites are no help since it’s priced between 300-600 over there. Ingredients Packaging The packaging of this illuminator though copied yet classy. It comes in a white opaque tube with black twist open cap. Texture & Smell It is a liquid illuminator /highlighter with prominent shimmer not runny yet easily blendable. The shimmer is densely packed in white coloured liquid. I require less than pea size amount to highlight my cheekbones. I prefer really subtle highlight, hence pea size amount is enough for me. But for more prominent highlighting, the product could be layered upon with out any issues in blending since it is in liquid form. The product does not contain any kind of smell. Pigmentation As I mentioned above, the product is densely packed shimmer in liquid form, little amount of product is enough to deliver a subtle glow to the required areas of face. The product can be layered upon as many time as one wants. I find powdery products little hard to layer because they start to encourage the dry spots on my skin, but this liquid highlighter can be layered upon many times without having to worry about dry spots or weird patchy looking face. Application I know you all must be knowing how and where to apply a highlighter. But I am really specific to use a shimmery highlighter. When we are using a shimmery highlighter, it is important to go subtle so that you do not look like a disco ball. Choose the very specific portions of your face. I put this illuminator below my brow bone and at max wear it just above my cheek bones. That’s it. A highlighter should be patted upon and not rubbed on, so that it does not interfere with the base makeup such as foundation or concealer. If you feel like you have applied too much, pat on some compact over it or brush it away using a fan brush. Shade Variants This product comes in 6 shades to cater to all skin types. 01 Sunbeam 02 Gleam 03 Gold 04 Bronze 05 Shiny 06 Shiny White The shade names of Miss Claire Born To Glow range matches to that of the NYX Born To Glow range. This is so close. NYX has only 4 shades in this range but Miss Claire offers 6, that’s an added advantage. Shade – 06 Shiney White As the name of the shade suggests, the shade is white. I picked this shade, since the shop didn’t have any other shades with them. I just wanted to test it. I would have preferred the Gold shade. But it does not really matter if the shade is white since after blending there are only shimmers left. The shimmery particles are not that chunky glitter. There are very fine shimmer that will be noticed on your face after proper blending. Longevity I have oily, acne prone & sensitive skin. I think this is a decently performing product. The shimmer particles stay put for 3-4 hours and later they just disappear when I wear it alone. If I wear this highlighter over primer/ foundation it stays longer. Likes Liquid formula. Useful for subtle to heavy highlighting Can be layered Dupe of NYX Born To Glow Illuminator. Available in 6 shades. Affordable. Nice packaging. Dislikes It is available online but the price is really high than the actual cost. Offline availability is very less. Summary Miss Claire Illuminator range contain really mild shimmer to give your face perfect highlight without making it look like a disco ball. There are 6 shades to choose from and are really affordable if you can locate an offline store. Miss Claire Lip Balm Orange : Review

Hello Gorgeous Girls, Good Morning. I am totally loving this season and wish that summer never come. Even though the temperature has gone down way too much but I would rather shiver in cold than smear in sweat. But Indian winter are very short and they go away pretty soon. Very less time is left to wear those beautiful coats and boots with bright lipsticks. Let’s just enjoy whatsoever of this beautiful season is left. Lip balms are unavoidable during winter. I got Miss Claire lip balm for my sister since she is a fan and was not able to get ah old on it from a long time. But I could not control my self from dipping my fingers and testing it out by myself for few days. Read on, how it fared on my dry lips. About Miss Claire Lip Balm Orange Miss Claire says that keep your lips soft and supple whilst protecting them from the harsh weather. Price Rs. 120 for 10gm. Ingredients Potybutene, Minearal Oil, Pentaerythrityl, Tetraisostearate, Polyethylene, Hydroxy Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Perfume & Colour. Packaging It comes in a light orange small plastic pot. The glass pot is really cute Miss Claire written in bold letters and some oranges flying here and there. I would not prefer a lip balm in pot though since it’s unhygienic and inconvenient. Variants I have also spotted this lip balm in Strawberry & Mango flavours. Not sure about other flavours. Colour, Texture & Smell The lip balm is light orange clear gel. The texture of the lip balm is really fine and smooth. It’s easy to take out the product out of the pot and put on the lips. The lip balm goes on the lips very smoothly without stickiness. Even though in the pot the lip balm looks orange-ish, but on my lips it goes clear. It smells sweet like oranges. My Experience I don’t drink much water during winter, I just forget. I know it’s a big sin you can commit to your skin and body, but I seriously can’t manage to drink much water through out the day. So eventually I have quite dry lips. I need a good lip balm. Pure’s Shea Butter works really fine for me. The moment I dip my finger into the Miss Claire lip balm pot, the fragrance touches my senses. I take out little product from the pot and apply it on my thirsty lips. There is no stickiness. Since the texture is gel like it is light weight, does not give any heavy feeling. I do not need to re apply it after every hour, since it moisturises my lips for long hours. My lips feel smooth. There are no dry lines or chapped lips afterwords. Since the formula is clear, I can wear it beneath other lip products. Overall I quite liked it, just wish it was widely available. Likes Very smooth textured lip balm. Light weight formula. Moisturises lips for long hours. No stickiness. Can be worn under other lip products. Very affordable. 10 grams of a lip balm is quite huge. According to my sister it lasts her for more than 4 months of daily application. Dislikes Availability is an issue. Summary: 4.75/5 A very affordable and effective lip balm with yummy smell. Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream – 02, 13, 28, 39, 41 : Swatches & Review

I thought it would be a good idea to do a detailed review on Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams, as I am giving them away to appreciate your readership. The lip creams as I have mentioned in my some previous post, are dupes of NYX lip creams which come by the same name. Can a brand totally mimic other brand so closely? I wonder. Even if it is allowed, we are in for a treat, ain’t we? We get almost same formula and pigmentation on a cheaper price. The shades, I tell you, I was so amused to see the shade ranges. There are like so many shades in a single colour. You know what I mean? You find lots of pinks, reds, coral, and what not. The shades vary slightly in color from each other. It gets really difficult to choose a single color. About Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream What Miss Claire, has to say about these lip creams? The brand states that the lip cream is not a lipstick nor it is a gloss. It is something in between. Though we have experienced the same formula before from NYX, still the brand claims that it’s new and we have not experienced it before. Whatsoever, I quite liked the formula. Price This totally depends upon the type of store you are purchasing these lip creams from. You can get them in between 200 to 350, As I have noticed. The price is not fixed and it varies, offline to online. Product weighs 6.5 grams, according to the brand while I doubt it. Packaging These lip creams come in almost same packaging as NYX Soft Matte lip creams, with Miss Claire printed in bold. The only difference in the packaging is the printing orientation. Miss Claire lip creams are contained in colour coded plastic tubes with black screw-in long applicator wand at the top. The applicator is soft and picks right amount of product. The applicator wand s pointy hence let me outline my lips. I find the packaging attractive, sleek and sturdy. Taste, Texture & Smell The lip cream definitely feels real smooth upon application. The texture is really fine. I actually feel like I am applying a high end product. If I press my lips together after application, I feel a buttery finish on my lips. I am not fond of the smell though. The smell is not that pungent, encounter it only once when I open the tube. There is no weird taste associated with these lip creams, which makes it quality product. I always wear lip balm if I am going to wear a matte lip product since most of the lip products are not that moisturising. It is true for the lip creams also. It does not dry out lips, on it’s own, but sometimes, when my lips are not hydrated enough, the feeling is not good. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the lip creams is commendable. One swipe gives desired colour even on pigmented lips. Since the lip cream are really pigmented and concentrated, you need to take out quite a lot of product to cover your lips. Longevity The lip creams stay for 3-4 hours surviving small meals/sips. It goes away in patches which is not desired. So either I reapply the lip cream or take it off completely after 3-4 hours. Finish When I apply it on my lips, it gives semi satin finish due to it’s very fine and smooth texture. But later on the product gives matte lips. My lips look fuller some how after wearing this formula. Shade Description I picked up 5 shades randomly – 02, 13, 28, 39 & 41. All of these are really gorgeous. Shade – 02 This is a perfect brown nude shade, to go with the Arabian night style smokey eyes. These type of shades does not complement my skin tone much, but I still love this shade. Shade – 13 It is another nude shade, which is peachy brown. I generally prefer these type of nudes to wear daily so that they do not look too bright for a day look but still completes my look. Shade – 28 This is a very beautiful pink. I loved it the moment I saw this at the store. It gives the exact colour as Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gradation Pink 2. Shade – 39 It is a coral shade. It brightens up my face. This shade can be worn during day or night. Shade – 41 This is another coral shade but more brighter than 39. It is brighter hence, I would not wear it during day, but would perfectly brighten up my night outs. But this shade gives little uneven coverage. You can see it by your self in the picture below. Likes Smooth and very fine texture. Matte finish. Pigmentation is intense. Decent staying power. Wide range of shades. Affordable. Quality product. Attractive and sturdy packaging. Dupe of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. Miss Claire is a cruelty free brand. Dislikes Product quantity is very less in each tube that I have ever used. I don’t think the tube actually contains even 4 g of the product which is a standard weight. It takes little time to set and to give matte finish. Comes off in patches which make the lips looking weird. I had a hard time locating a physical store of this brand. Summary : 4/5 I totally love these lip creams. I have had used few already and will definitely get more shades from this range. I like the buttery soft texture and the pigmentation of these lip creams. Plus they are so affordable. Miss Claire Mini Haul : A Glimpse

Hi Girls, At a local store yesterday, I wanted to grab a bottle of Maybelline Fit Me foundation but the SA lured me into buying some Miss Claire products. Miss Claire is quite a popular brand among bloggers since it brings out dupe for NYX products mostly. I have used some lip creams before, from Miss Claire, today got few more. The lip creams from Miss Claire are no doubt one of the best product from the brand. I was so amazed to see the wide range of the shades at the local store. Plus they are so affordable, I felt like grabbing whatever I my small eyes could see. I got 5 shades from Miss Claire Lip Cream Range – 02,13, 28, 39 & 41. Sadly the store did not have any testers, so I just picked up judging the packaging. I also got Miss Claire Born To Glow Illuminator, which comes in almost exact packaging as NYX Illuminator. I was also shocked to see that it was titled as ‘Born To Glow’ same as the NYX Born To Glow Illuminator. The illuminator also comes in many shades as the NYX illuminator. Miss Claire seems to be following NYX very closely, I guess. There were too many blushes, eye shadows, and what not at the store. I also got blue shimmer dust since blue glitter was not available. Only I know, how I pushed myself away from the blushes. I might be visiting that local store again soon. This Miss Claire Lip Balm is favourite of my sister. She was constantly looking for it around her place but was not available. Glad I found it. Though she uses the strawberry flavour, but efficacy would be the same, I am sure. I also got Lotus Ecostay Primer & Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 128. Will let you know how the primer fared on my skin since I will be using it for the very first time. Coming to skin care items, I got Himalaya Natural Glow Fairness Cream which is doing very well on my skin after horrible breakout from The Face Shop White Seed Moisture Cream. For the very first time I got Neutrogena Oil free moisturiser, which is a popular moisturiser among bloggers who have combination to oily skin tone. I have very thin eye brows, so I mostly use an eyebrow pencil to thicken them up. Cameleon eye brow pencil in brown, has a lash brush attached at the end, so eye brow can be groomed with just single product. It was under 100 bucks. Colorbar has same kind of product which is waterproof, but that costs about 650 bucks. Will try to put some swatches of the lip creams pretty soon. Hope you will like the shades I got.
