Maybelline has always provided decent products but this time it is a dud to me. The blush is so low on pigmentation that it won't show much on the skin. Also, the shade name is little misguiding. I would not recommend buying it until you want to have a peachy shimmery cheek for 2-3 hours.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation – 128 Warm Nude, 230 Natural Buff, 310 Sun Beige Today, I wanted to talk about how on a period of time I hoarded 4 foundations from Maybelline Fit Me + Pore less range. Yes, 4. Out of which 2 are 310 Sun Beige. My very first Maybelline Fit Me foundation (reviewed here), was a gift from my sister since back then the fit me range had not been launched in India. I loved the texture and the finish it gave, but, the shade was dark on my light-medium wheatish skin tone. I gave it away to some one close. When the fit me range came to India, I went to a physical store by myself, and some how I still got another 310 Sun Beige since I didn’t remember that the previous shade was also 310. Such a bummer. I got another orangish shade. After 2 months I started hunting for the perfect shade again. This time I went through a lot of online swatches and zeroed on 230, Natural Buff, because it was the next shade from 310. To my disbelief, 230 Natural Buff & 310 Sun beige are just the same, exactly the same. I can’t tell any difference by seeing the bottle or after wearing it on my face. What the hell? Last Saturday, I made my last attempt to find a shade closer to my skin tone, see how optimistic I am. There I found 128 Warm Nude, which looked yellowish but brighter than 310 & 230. I asked the SA to swatch it on my hand. She did, it felt little lighter than my skin tone. I still got it. Why I got the 4th bottle? Frankly, by now, I have gotten little fed up and bored with the fit me range, some how it’s not working that well in winter, as it used to work on me during summer. The only way I use the already bought dark shade bottles is to mix them with light shade. I got no 128 warm nude, which is the lightest shade with yellow undertones. I hope mixing the dark and light shades would give me the exact shade that I desire. By now I have tried mixing 128 & 310 just once, but I was not impressed since the ratio was 3:1, it still came out little white-ish . Next time I will try an equal amount of both the foundations. I hope it works out better. I feel the Fit Me Liquid Foundation range from Maybelline is just like MAC foundations, it gives the perfect finish & coverage but the shades are techy. You must find your own shade or mix and match if you fail to find your shade in this range. I will update this post in case I made the wrong shades to work for me somehow.

I get to know about a new foundation launch, & I smirk (I am gonna get you girl!!!). I start googling about the offered shades, the texture, the longevity claims etc. If I like what I read, I plan my next visit to a store to swatch the foundation myself. Most of the times, the foundation ends up going home with me. (wink) I got Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, even before it was launched in India. The worst happened, I ended up with a wrong shade. It was wrong shade, but I was very impressed with the texture and coverage. When, finally, it was launched in India, I headed to a nearby store and picked up another shade, which seemed to suit my skin tone. Maybelline Claims: ⦁ Mattifies and refines pores. ⦁ Matches Natural Tone. ⦁ Natural, seamless finish Price: Rs. 525 for 30ml. Texture & Smell: The texture of the foundation is very velvet. It glides very smoothly on skin. Blends effortlessly. Smell is weird, but does not longer for long. Its consistency is quite runny. Availability: Available widely online & offline. Packaging: Comes in a transparent glass bottle without pump. Foundation Shade: 310 Sun Beige Also Check Maybelline Fit Me Foundation – 128 Warm Nude, 230 Natural Buff Swatches My Skin Tone & Type: I have weatish skin tone. I have oily, acne prone & sensitive skin, with visible acne spots & pores. My Experience with Maybelline Fit Me Foundation: As I mentioned earlier, first time, I laid my hands on this foundation, I was stuck with wrong shade. The shade was quite brownish for me. This current shade, Sun Beige, is not quite a match. It is also bit dark for my face. But I would prefer going darker than choosing a lighter tone. I generally find my skin tone match in beige. I quite like its texture, consistency & the coverage it provides. I like how smoothly it glides on my skin, and covers the acne spots effortlessly. I don’t feel the need to use a separate concealer after wearing this. It never gave me breakouts. I have worn this foundation during hot summers days. It is not entirely lightweight, but my face does not sweat. I wish there was a perfect shade for my skin tone. The coverage is build-able, but you have to wait for few minutes before the first layer settles down. Once its settled, it does not transfer, which is a huge plus point for a foundation. Hence it also lasts long on face. The final finish is quite natural unlike Lakme absolute Foundation, which is little cakey. I am not fond of the smell of the foundation, but I can bear it, as it does not linger for long. Likes: Beautiful texture & consistency. High & buildable coverage. Conceals off dark/acne spots on its own. The foundation settles down giving a matte but natural finish and close to your own skin tone. Does not breakout skin. Does not transfer once settled. Lasts for 6-7 hours on oily skin. Quite affordable. Dislikes: No pump provided with the packaging. You have to be careful while taking out the product. Weird smell. Takes quite sometime to settle down unlike Lakme Absolute Foundation Final Word: I think for a drug store product it offers a lot at a very affordable price.
