BB & CC Creams are my everyday’s staple but when it comes to special events no doubt I need a matte, transfer resistant, sweat proof, shine-proof & with build-able coverage foundation. I loved using L’Oreal Tue Match, few years back, and hence I picked up L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H foundation 140 Golden Beige without hesitation. Today while looking for something, I stumbled upon this foundation and realized I have not reviewed it on the blog. So here I am presenting my views on this foundation. L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H Foundation 140 Golden Beige Price Rs. 1400 for 30ml. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging It comes in a transparent glass bottle with a pump fitted at the top. The pump is covered with a red cap to avoid accidental pumping. The shade name & number are printed on the cap as well as at the bottle. Ingredient list can be found ta the back of the bottle by peeling the label. The packaging is leak proof as I have traveled many times with this foundation in my luggage. And never experienced any leakage. L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H Foundation – Shades Infallible foundation is introduced in many shades covering the pales to the dusky beauties. All the shades are provided below: 120 Vanilla, 125 Natural Rose, 140 Rose Beige, 150 Radiant Beige, 200 Golden Sand, 220 Sand, 235 Honey, 250 Radiant Sand, 300 Amber, 320 Caramel toffee L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H Foundation 140 Golden Beige I got this foundation online. I literally went through every single review and swatch for this particular foundation to find my shade. I know I should have visited a physical store to get my shade matched, but I was really occupied by then and I had an event coming up. So I decided to buy this online. Golden Beige is a universal shade for me in terms of bases. The are the closest. Hence I decided to go with this shade. UPDATE: I also got L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H Foundation Radiant Beige 150 as it is closest to Golden Beige 140 and matches my skin tone more. The shade has yellow tint to match my undertones, but somehow, I find the finish is more of grey-pink. Which kind of put me off. It’s nothing major, but it is not a perfect match for my wheatish skin tone. After blending a bit of pinkish hue can be seen. Fragrance & Texture It is a nice creamy foundation but goes matte very soon, hence one needs to be quick with the application. I would advise to moisturize skin thoroughly as it is a matte finish foundation otherwise you would not be able to blend in the foundation properly. A primer would ease the blending & perfect the finish. I mostly use my fingers to blend it, but it can be blended very well using a brush or a beauty blender. Pigmentation / Coverage The pigmentation of this foundation is very impressive. A coin sized foundation would nicely cover acne scars & even out skin very well. It gives medium to full coverage because it is buildable. Finish It sets off in matte (bit of powdery) finish. It kind of last really long since it does not transfer or smudge once set. As it has quick drying formula, I do not have to wait for my other makeup to put on. The finish is non oily & shine free for hours. Longevity As I mentioned above due to it’s texture & finish, it lasts very long on my oily skin even during summer. That’s the best feature of this foundation. A foundation should last really long so that other makeup can stay intact. It can really stand the Delhi heat & humidity. I have worn it for full days. Likes Smooth & fine texture. Gives a very natural finish while hiding imperfections. Does not transfer or smudge. Stays intact for long. A wide range of shades to choose from Does not look cakey. No whitecast. Contains SPF 18. Gives Medium coverage which is build-able. Does not break my skin. Dislikes Pricey. Golden Beige shade gives grey-pinkish hue to wheatish skin Summary : 4.75/5 L’Oreal Paris Infallible Stay Fresh 24H Foundation is no doubt a favorite of makeup junkies because of it’s smooth texture, build-able pigmentation, long lasting formula & matte finish. Also the shade range is impressive. I would grab another close shade soon. The high price can be ignored for the performance it gives. So girls, do you buy your foundation online? If you know your shade, you can go ahead with the purchase, but do you risk buying a new range without swatching it on yourself? All the products of L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 range is colour coded in off-white and red, so this serum looks like a perfect match to the rest of the collection containing a shampoo, a conditioner and a deep conditioning mask. The cap locks with a sharp click and prevents the product inside from spilling. The bottle has a cardboard outer pack which again is colour coded in similar manner. The outer box contains claims, shelf life, elaborate usage instructions etc. The instructions are presented in both written and pictorial format for everyone’s convenience. Overall I find the packaging to be very travel-friendly, leakage-proof and sturdy. Colour, Texture & Smell The serum is basically a colourless and runny liquid. Though it is oil, its consistency is light and non-greasy. It has a very faint floral fragrance. The base note of the scent is similar to other products of the same range. The smell is very short-staying and it goes off within few minutes of application. My Views This hair serum can be applied in two ways; on damp hair and on completely dry hair. I like the first way more so, I apply it after my shampoo-conditioner routine on the day I wash my hair. It is very crucial to decide the correct amount for your hair otherwise the hair may feel limp (if used in excess) or unruly (if used less). When the hair dries completely there are noticeable shine on my hair. Due to the wavy texture, I tend to get tangles very easily. With this on my hair; the tangles are a bit easy to remove. That means less breakage. What I like most about this product is that, the dry and rough ends of my hair look healthier than they actually are if I am using this. But ‘the split ends getting united’ claim is not true. This serum has been able to control my unmanageable frizzy hair to certain extent which is a huge pro for me. Likes Tames frizzes & Reduces tangles. Does not feel heavy. Makes hair look healthier and shiny. Value-for-money product containing sunscreens. Smell is not overpowering Dislikes Not all claims are true. Temporary results Summary: 4.5/5 I would suggest this hair serum to someone who is searching for an affordable hair serum to control unmanageable and tangle-prone hair, add sun protection and shine to it. I have deep set eyes. I generally use Maybelline Gel Liner on my water line and eye lids. But out of habit, I could not strain myself from getting L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique in Black. Let me tell you how badly it failed on me. L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique Black ULTIMATE BLACK: 25% more concentrated in black pigments, each stroke glides effortlessly to deliver a vivid black line. Packaging Comes in a black screw in pencil with hot pink highlights. Shade Black Texture & Smell The texture of the kajal is very creamy so that it glides on eyes very smoothly without any tugging. Smell is almost non-existent. My Views Since the texture of the kajal is very creamy, it goes on eye lids very easily. The tip of the kajal is quite soft too, so it just breaks off sometimes. I mostly wear an eye cream. When I apply it after wearing an eye cream, the colour does not come as good as expected. I need to swipe the kajal pencil 3-4 times to get the intense look. I don’t know why it is claimed to be smudge proof, it does not last on my water line even for even 2 hours. I get raccoon eyes if I wear this on my water line. If I wear it alone on eye lids, the kajal still manage to get deposit under my deep set eyes somehow. The quantity of this kajal lasts really long. It does not need to be sharpened & the packaging is travel friendly. Likes Creamy texture. Pigmentation is decent and can be built to intensify the look. Sleek & attractive packaging. Affordable. Easily available. Does not irritate eyes when worn on water line. Dislikes It smudges The kajal does not last much on my water line. Sometimes, the tip breaks off while applying. Summary : 1/5 The pigmentation is decent but that’s the only thing I like about it. It smudges very badly. It is affordable but there is no point in affording it if it cannot perform. My Budget Makeup Essentials

It’s going to be a quick post about the makeup products I use mostly everyday. All the products are budget products, easily available. Suit my and skin tone & type. I started wearing the Pond’s BB Cream about 3 years ago, and since then, it’s been with me. I like the natural finish it gives to my skin. Unlike Lakme’s CC cream, it does not give any white cast. Maybelline’s Super Fresh Compact is new addition to my vanity, but is really promising. Before this I used to wear Lakme 9 to 5 compact. I will review these two very soon. On good skin days, I like to wear some blush. Mostly it’s cheeky Glow, but winters are good to fluent creamy blushes too. City Color Cheeky Stain is a warm toned cream blush which I mostly prefer because of it’s natural finish. Cover Girl Lip Gloss was another budget find incidentally. It’s very beautiful every day wear shade. L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique, was unintentional buy, but proved to be a good buy. Will try to review it soon. I don’t like high drama mascaras for daily wear. Maybelline’s The Falsies gives very natural looking eye lashes. I don’t know why but I am just so in love with this eye palette from Makeup Revolution. It has got versatile colors to give you awesome looks for day and night. I am just short on time today, otherwise would have added more stuff to the post. Gotta run some errands before the day ends.
