I love SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick Scarlett O’Hara to the core, I was so wanting to own Holly Golightly from the same range. SUGAR crayon lipsticks are among the best lipsticks for Indian skin tone. The lipsticks are parabene free & do not contain harmful chemicals. SUGAR does not test on animals. Ain’t these really great reasons to buy another piece form the brand. I bought the lipstick along with SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Nail Liquor in the same shade- Holy Golightly. I will talk about the nail paint in some other post, but today I am going to review SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick 04 Holly Golightly today for you. I was very impressed by the texture & staying power of Scarlett O’Hara & I was lately feeling to have a n*de lip color, so I thought, why not Holly Golightly. This lip crayon is very popular among makeup lovers. I really resisted myself from getting this until now. Because I didn’t only want this but I really needed this. SUGAR says go lightly nude with this lip color which is highly pigmented, super coverage & excellent staying power. The texture is creamy yet gives matte finish which does not require reapplication again and again. The lipstick is safe for skin. Price Rs. 799 for 5gms. Buy here. Packaging The crayon lipstick comes packed inside a cardboard with abstract print. The cardboard contains graphics of a red pout, while the brand name, logo and product name are also printed on it. The ingredients list is not mentioned anywhere. The lipstick bullet is packed inside a black matte chubby pencil with light plumish-pink matte band at the bottom and a black matte cover at the mouth of the crayon. Since this is a crayon lipstick, it is shipped with a black sturdy sharpner. The crayon & the sharpner are made in Germany (imported you see :)). Variants I am a fan of these crayon lipsticks. You can also call them chubby sticks as some other brands has come up with. There are only five shades in the range: 01 Scarlett O’Hara – My favorite of them all- a beautiful red shade 02 Mary Poppins – Bright Fuschia 03 Poison Ivy – Wine 04 Holy Golightly – Nude 05 Rose Dawson – Pretty Pink Shade Description – Holy Golightly This is a pretty nude shade with peach undertones. I love peach lipsticks but they hate my skin tone. But a nude lipstick with peach undertones will suit every Indian skin tone, like this one does. This shade flatters my wheatish skin tone beautifully. The shade may look little pinkish in natural day light but looks pinkish brown indoors. Works for me. Taste, Texture & Smell This is a powdery matte lipstick. It also tastes powdery in the initial hour of application. The texture is creamy and glides on lips very smoothly without any hassle. There is practically no smell out of the crayon. Pigmentation I have never had any issues at the pigmentation front of any product from the brand, SUGAR. This lipstick is also good in pigmentation. One swipe gives nice color pay off. 2 swipes seals the color for a perfect nude pout. Staying Power SUGAR Smudge Me Not lipsticks give the longest staying power. Next I love Scarlett O’Hara for it’s performance. But the staying power of Holly Golightly is average. It stays for 2-3 hours on my lips. After meals it’s gone. But I understand, it’s a light shade, and it can not deliver as much as a bright color would. Finish The finish of this lipstick is powder-y matte. No sheen is visible on the lips even though the lipstick has creamy texture. How To Use Holly Golightly? You can wear it everyday. It would go with everything & on everyone. With bold eyes, it’s a must to go with nude lips. That’s when you can use this lipstick. While going for a no makeup look, I would love to wear this shade on my lips. Likes Pretty Nude Shade. Creamy Texture. Nice color pay off. Everyday shade. Suitable for Indian skin tones. Free of parabenes & other harmful chemicals. Dislikes Pricey. Needs to be sharpened. Summary : 4/5 Overall, this is a nice nude lip shade which gives nice color pay off and stays for decent time on my lips. I am actually wearing it every day, (I just get obsessed with every new lip shade). I do not like the fact that I have to sharpen it every now and then. I wish it was a retractable one. Hello Dolls, It’s been a while that I reviewed a makeup product and for that matter, a lipstick specifically. I chose Ruby’s Organics Lipstick – Burgundy 016 for today’s review. I received this lipstick in my previous #MyEnvyBox, I almost forgot about it & other products from the box. Delaying no more, let’s hop onto the review wagon. About Ruby’s Organics Lipstick Burgundy Ruby’s Organics is a new brand, suggests to use the lipstick once for subtle & twice for a bolder look. The lipstick carries the benefits of a lip balm while looks like an intense lip color. The lipstick contains Mango & Shea Butter, Almond & Castor Oil. The lipstick is 100% vegetarian, contains no parabenes, artificial colors, alcohols & chemical preservatives. The brand does not believe in testing on animals. Price Rs. 990 for 3.7g. Ingredients Packaging The lipstick comes packed inside a black matte long & chubby cardbox with graphics of multi colored flowers printed over it. Ingredients list is also printed on the pack. Inside you find a chubby retractable black shiny pencil with a transparent cover at the top. Ruby’s Organics is printed on the pencil in fancy font while “Lipstick Burgandy” is printed at the bottom of the chubby pencil. Shades Available Ruby’s Organics has come up only with 5 shades in the range – Apricot, Raisin, Roseate, Brick & Burgundy. Shade – Burgundy 016 This is a very deep burgundy shade. A fabulous one. All the burgundy lovers are in for a treat with this shade. Though with flash on, the shade looks more of deep pink. Texture & Smell It is a moisturizing lipstick. It really hydrates lips. I find the texture comparable to that of the SUGAR Crayon lipsticks. It looks matte on lips. If you watch closely, you might find some sheen to the lips due to the presence of moisturizing agents in the lipstick. I do not need to wear a lipstick underneath. It has mild and pleasant smell. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the lipstick is intense, so intense that it feels like it might stain my lips forever. One swipe gives very nice color pay off. But the texture of the lipstick is buttery smooth and I feel like gliding on my lips over and over… and over. Have you ever experienced this pleasure? I do this with my favorite lipsticks very often. Longevity Ruby’s Organics gives me no reason to complain except the price. The longevity of the lipsticks is very awesome like it’s pigmentation. It transfers to the objects that touch my lips but the color stays put. The foremost layer goes away within first 2 hours, but lips stays colored for more 5-6 hours. The lipstick wears off leaving a deep red stain on my lips. Summary : 4/5 Except the price factor, I just love this range from Ruby’ Organics. The pigmentation & longevity leaves me in awe. Hello Girls, How you been? Friday is getting over and we are headed to the weekend. Just an awesome feeling.. no? Let’s hit the Friday eve with some color. I am going to review Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick for you. This budget friendly lipstick has been around from a while & has comparable performance to Maybelline ColorShow Matte range. It has almost the same formula & pigmentation as that of the colorshow range from Maybelline. Let’s get to know this beauty more closely. About Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick Say hello to creamy yet matte lipsticks from Lakme. The gorgeous shades are here to treat you with love. Lakme came up with matte colors that will suit Indian skin tones. The color is intense yet moisturizing on lips. Fluent the fabulous matte lips. Price Rs. 295 for 4.7gm. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients No ingredients mentioned. Packaging The lipstick comes packaged in a silver colored metallic card box with Lakme Enrish Matte Lipstick printed on one side. On the other side, Lakme states what is so special about this lipstick. Ingredients list is not provided anywhere. The lipstick bullet too comes in a silver colored body with transparent cap on the bullet. At the bottom of the lipstick shade number is printed. The shade does not have any name which makes it difficult to remember a particular lipstick just by it’s shade no. One weird thing about the packaging is that, it takes a lot of effort to screw-in & screw-out the lipstick out of it’s shell. I mean it’s not that easy like other lipsticks. You really need to put in some effort. May be it’s just this lipstick. Taste, Texture & Smell The texture of this lipstick is creamy smooth. There is bit sheen to the texture. When I apply the lipstick to my lips, the sheen can be noticed on my lips too. Glides easily on lips due to creamy texture. The lipstick does not dry out my lips. The lipstick has the very peculiar old cosmetic smell which we used to have in cheap lipsticks many many years back. I did not like this utterly sweet smell. The lipstick also tastes soapy until, it is wiped off your lips entirely. Shade – RM 13 This is a shade from the Red Color Family. It is a nice bright red, which will suit all skin tones, be it light, medium or dusky. This year 2017, is particularly a year of bold shades as opposed to the previous year where the nude shades rocked the fashion world. This shade is very desirable. The lipstick looks more of maroon, but the shade goes quite red on lips. If I blot and re apply the shade, I can achieve a rust shade out of this lippie. Pigmentation The pigmentation of this lipstick is very good. One swipe gives beautiful intense color while another swipe just perfects the look. The pigmentation is intense because it is a bright shade. Such shades are relatively more pigmentation than the light shades. Finish It is a matte lipstick but do not expect an entirely matte finish out of it. It has bit sheen to it. The sheen is visible on lips too after application. It’s just the creamy texture that hinders the exact matte finish. What I do is, I bot away the sheen with a napkin. That’s how I get the desired matte lips out of this moisturizing lipstick. My Most Favorite Matte Lipstick? – SUGAR Cosmetics Matte AS Hell Longevity This lipstick stays on lips. The sheen is lost after an hour or so, if I do not blot it by myself. The color stays intact for more than 4 -5 hours surviving meals in between. The tint would not go away even after 4-5 hours, until I wipe it off. I wipe it off after 4-5 hours, since, it starts to get little patchy which is not that pleasant to look at. I really admire the staying power of this lipstick. Summary : 4/5 Except the taste & smell, I think the lipstick is quite a grab for the price you pay. It’s moisturizing, pigmented & stays for long on lips. The shades offered by Lakme are very good too. It’s among the best budget buy, if you ask me. I am looking forward to buy the newly launched Argan Oil lipsticks from Lakme, just not able to decide on the shades. Any help? Love.

Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Pink Kiss P21, Code Red R33, Grape Riot W13 : Swatches & Review

Coming to today’s post, I am presenting 3 Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipsticks to you, Pink Kiss P21, Code Red R33, Grape Riot W13 . Elle 18 is very popluar among teens & budget queens. This is a matte range from Elle 18 with fabulous packaging. The range is dirt cheap. Let’s get into the details. Price Rs. 100 for 4.3gm. Dirt Cheap.. huh . Buy here. Packaging Comes in a round black tube with flat top. There is a cartoon of a chic printed on the cap of the lipstick with Elle 18 logo and range name on the lipstick. I like this new flat top packaging of these lipstick. This packaging make the lipsticks more classic in looks. One thing I would like to mention that I need to press the lipstick cover hard, over the bullet, to close it properly. Ingredients Not mentioned. Texture & Smell The texture of the lipstick is creamy matte. Since the texture is creamy hence you do not have to worry about drying out your lips due to matte lipsticks. The lipsticks have very faint chocolaty smell which is weird. But an added bonus. Shade – Pink Kiss P21 It is a nice warm toned pink which will flatter all skin tones. It can be worn to office as well as to casual outings. It is a daily wear color. Shade – Code Red R33 This is a very beautiful shade of red, a deep red. It looks burgundy if layered multiple times. This is a color that would suit evening outings very well. Shade – Grape Riot W13 This is a plum lipstick from the range a nice plum. When I see Maybelline Colorshow Violet Delight, & freak out, only a nice plum lipstick can calm me down. Grape Riot perfectly suits the picture. Pigmentation & Finish The pigmentation of Matte Lipsticks from this range is decent. 2 swipe gives enough colour to pigmented lips. The pigmentation is build able too. Even though the range is matte but when you swipe the lipstick across, there is sheen that you notice at first. The finish is nothing sort of matte. I really get confused if I am getting an original product or not. But this thing I have noticed with all the lipsticks from the matte range of Elle 18. They are not completely utterly matte, they have some sheen to them. They are moisturizing that way. Since I like to have matte finish more, I blot my Elle 18 lipsticks little. Longevity If I follow the proper steps of applying perfect lipstick, they last longer on my lips. Other wise the lipsticks stay only for maximum 2-3 hours. I think that is quite expected out of a under budget lipstick. The lipsticks bid goodbye leaving behind tinted lips. Likes Nice creamy texture. Does not dry out lips. The shades mentioned above will suit every skin tone. Very affordable. Vast range of shades. Liked the new packaging too. Quality product Dislikes Finish is not completely matte. Adds sheen to the finish. Staying power is average. Summary: 4/5 I feel the Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick range is worth the price. You can experiment with a lot of shades & fun colors. It can be worn as glossy or matte, as you may like. I just wish that Elle 18 also comes up with real matte lipsticks. Aarti Sharma from Rohtak, asks me how I wear those perfect matte lips. She says whenever she wears matte lipsticks, her lips start to look patchy & dry after 2-3 hours. Also her lips are little pigmented. She seeks some advice. Instead of giving her a reply on email, I thought, it’s something I can share with you all. Do you too love wearing matte lipsticks? I too. Specially summers call for matte lipsticks for long lasting color on lips. It’s actually really easy to flaunt perfectly shaped matte lips in just few steps. Read on… Exfoliate You Lips Regularly Lips exfoliation is as important as skin exfoliation. Our lips accumulate dead skin & product build up in every 2-3 days. It’s important to exfoliate and reveal new, soft & radiant lips. You can exfoliate your lips using your toothbrush or using a lip scrub. You can also use natural lip scrub made at home. How to exfoliate lips using toothbrush? You do not have to use much techniques while using a toothbrush to scrub your lips. You can do this while you are brushing your teeth. After brushing your teeth, while the toothbrush is still wet, gently scrub your lips with circular motion for a minute or two and you will notice baby soft & pink lips afterwords. You can also use ready made lip scrubs or can make a simple lip scrub by mixing a tablespoon of sugar (white/brown) with little Oilve/Almond Oil. Use this scrub to exfoliate your lips. You should exfoliate lips once every 2-3 days, this will give your lips smooth & healthy look while giving a perfect base for lip products. Moisturize Your Lips Lip balms are a must if you are going for a matte lipstick. You should opt for a clear lip balm so that it does not interfere with the application & color of the lipstick that you are going to wear. You do not have to go full throttle with the lip balm, just swipe it across your lips once and you will get enough moisture. Choose nice lip balm, the cheap and chemically laden lip balms hurt your soft skin & induces pigmentation. If possible wear SPF infused lip balms to protect them from sun damage. Apply Foundation/Compact To bring out the perfect color on lips, this is a nice step to follow if you are comfortable. Apply some foundation or compact powder over your lips. This step also enhances long lasting color & smudge free look for hours. Whenever you wear foundation on your face, wear some on your lips too. Line Your Lips It is important to line your lips. No matter how beautifully shaped lips you have, you should define the outer lines of your lips. It gives a clean finish to your lipstick. Also a lip liner can correct any flawed outlines too. You can draw new lines on to your lips giving them fuller look. Make sure to choose the shade of the lip liner closest to that of your lipstick. Apply Your Shade It’s the time to wear your favorite matte lipstick. Start from the center of your upper lip and apply till the end on both sides, then apply on the bottom lip. Blot & Reapply To enhance the longevity of the color on your lips, blot it with a tissue & then reapply. This will also bring out the true color of the lipstick on your lips. Quick Tip: Exfoliating lips regularly, moisturizing lips & using high quality lip products helps keeping lips soft & pigmentation free. These were my few tips to flaunt that perfect matte pout. This may seem a lot, but trust me does not take much time, when you have to wear a matte lipstick for long hours without smudge, you should follow these steps with out fail. Enjoy.

SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Tan Fan 03 : Swatches & Review

I recently received SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Tan Fan 03 . I won an Instagram contest held by SUGAR. The contest was about their Liquid Lipstick longevity. You must be knowing about it, if you are following me on Instagram. SUGAR gave away Liquid Lipsticks as the prize. SUGAR asked me to choose my shade from Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick. It was really hard to choose one shade since all the shades are so desirable. I already have Rethink Pink which is very adorable. At last, I zeroed on Sauve Mauve & Tan Fan. You won’t believe, I actually tossed a coin to choose one shade among the two. Before getting my hands on this lipstick, I was thinking to put it in the giveaway I am going to host soon on HOG. I also thought this is going to be a nude shade. But to my surprise, it was a fabulous plum shade. Boy, I am so smitten. I already have a plum palette from NYX.It covers all my plum needs. I thought I am never going to need another plum shade any time soon, since it has all the plums including maroons. But what I knew. The NYX palette has satin finish, while the Smudge Me Not range presents Liquid Lipsticks which give matte finish. I would prefer a matte lipstick over a satin one, any given day. When I first applied this on my lips I was so lost in determining the actual color of this liquid lipstick. I was like, Oh My God, I have never worn such a beautiful lipstick ever. Trust me, this is one of the beautiful plum shade lipstick ever. Price Rs. 499. SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Tan Fan 03 The shade is brownish plum, my kind of plum. It is less of mauve and more of browns. Just the perfect blend. This shade will suit every skin tone, be it fair or dusky. The shade would never fail to impress. This shade can be worn at any time & at any occasion. It can be worn daily in office too because it gives matte finish. You won’t look like you are wearing tons of color. It gives a clean look to face. To bring out your party face while wearing this shade on your lips, I would suggest to throw on some subtle plum eye shadow on your eyes. Pigmentation SUGAR, has some magical wand for sure as this brand always comes out with highly pigmented & quality products. I am so impressed with every product I have ever used from SUGAR. As always, SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Tan Fan 03 is highly concentrated & pigmented. I take small amount on the tip of the applicator that comes with this liquid lipstick, and dab it at the middle of my lips, later swiping it all over my lips. This achieves the full fledged colored lips for me. Formula The formula is creamy, smooth & fast drying. So I make sure to be quick with the application, otherwise, I would get some uneven application. Once the liquid is set, I am free to eat, talk or take pout selfies 🙂 I am right now wearing Tan Fan on my lips while sipping on to my tea and there are no lip stains on my white tea cup. How cool is that. Trust me I feel really embarrassed whenever I am out dining and leave lip stains behind. This lipstick does not embarrass me . Longevity SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Tan Fan 03 is no less in performance also when I compare it too Rethink Pink which lasts so well that I won that Instagram contest. It does not go anywhere until next 6-7 hours. Touch ups are required only when you have to have your main meals. It can survive mini meals or sips very well. Finish The lipstick gives matte finish. The formula is quick drying hence you need to work fast with the application. Once set, it does not bleed or smudge, even when tried to. If you are not accustomed to wearing liquid lipsticks, this lipstick might feel little uneasy due to it’s dry finish. You should wear a clear lip balm before you go ahead with matte lipstick be it from any brand. Wearing a lip balm underneath a lipstick is the basic lip care & most of the time does not interfere with the finish of the lipstick. That was all about SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Tan Fan. I never heard about the brand- Seduction Las Vegas (SLV), before Fab Bag introduced it to me. I was not impressed with the packaging though. But seeing a brand new lipstick, I could not hold back for long. I opened the packaging & applied it on my lips. Let me tell you how was my experience with this lipstick. About Seduction Las Vegas Lipstick Seduction Las Vegas is famous for it’s nail colors. Now it’s bringing it’s lipstick range too. Seduction Las Vegas Lipsticks are highly pigmented & creamy textured, while giving moisture to your lips for smooth & semi matte finish. The lipsticks are Vitamin E enriched. Price The lipsticks are very easy on pocket. Priced at Rs. 180. The packaging is very matte. The packaging looks little flimsy. Shade – Nude Love 06 I have been hoarding a lot of bold colors. Fab Bag asked me to choose my shade for this lipstick range, I went for Nude Love. I have a secret crush for nude lippies. I am glad, I chose this shade. It is peachy brown shade, my type of nude. Even though the finish is semi matte, I can make it look totally matte by blotting it with a tissue if I want. But I do not blot it right away since it loses it’s glossiness after a hour or so. And after that my lips look more beautiful with peachy brown tint on my lips. Texture The texture of this lipstick is very creamy & smooth. I like how it feels on my lips. It does not feel waxy. The quality is good. The brand claims that it is enriched with Vitamin E, which I think is a plus point. This surely moisturizes my lips instead of drying them. Pigmentation The pigmentation of this lipstick is decent. It gives nice color pay off. The color shows well even on pigmented lips. The color can be built further on without making lips looking patchy. I apply at max 2 coats for perfect color on my lips. Finish The finish of this lipstick is semi matte. There is no utterly glossiness, but a bit of sheen is present. I generally prefer matte lipsticks. I blot my glossy lipsticks. I mostly wear it as it is since it loses its glossiness within an hour. Longevity Even though it loses it’s glossiness within an hour but it never loses it’s color. It provides nice tint to lips which stays for 3-4 hours on my lips. This totally works for me. I can have in between meals and still flaunt tinted lips. How cool is that? Likes Moisturizing on lips. Beautiful shade- Nude Love. Very very affordable. Lasts for 3-4 hours. Dislikes Flimsy packaging. Loses sheen after an hour. (not a con for me) Summary : ❤❤❤❤ This is a new range of lipsticks which are highly affordable but with quality product. The shade Nude Love, from SLV, is very nice peachy brown shade, makes a perfect nude color. The lipstick is moisturizing and enriched with Vitamin E. Would like to try more shades from this range. Maybelline ColorShow Intense Fashionable LipColor - Cherry Crush 20 is a creamy & moisturizing lipstick which glides smoothly on my lips without any hassle. I no way need a lip balm beneath this range of lipsticks from Maybelline. I think the formula is widely appreciated by the lipstick lovers. I also like the parallel line of these lipsticks known as Creamy- Matte range.
