Hey Lipstick Lover. High On Gloss is getting a lot of hits for affordable lipsticks. Right now I have two lipsticks from Coloressence which are nice in performance & are quite affordable too. So I am going to review Coloressence Moisturizing Lip Color in Fuchsia Glame 40 & Nectar 72. Coloressence is itself quite an affordable brand but it does not mean that it compromises in terms of quality. Coloressence makeup range is impressive in terms of longevity too. The product range is also multiplying. Coming to the lipsticks, Fuchsia Glame is a Fucshia shade with red undertones, while Nectar 72 is a beautiful nude shade with peach undertones. Both the shades has warm undertones, hence these shades are suitable on Indian skin tones. With rain pouring outside my window let me take you on a journey of beautiful lipstick shades. Stay with me. Coloressence Moisturizing Lip Color Coloressence revamped this range and came with improved formula. Coloressence moisturizing lipsticks are creamy and offers moisture to dry & chapped lips. Without accentuating fine lines, these lipsticks, deliver rich color to lips. The formula is enriched with Jojoba Oil & Almond Oil. The lipsticks are tested for hypoallergic reactions. The lipsticks are 100% vegetarian. Key Ingredients: Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil, Pigments. Price: INR 199 for 4g. Buy here. Packaging I really like the improved packaging of the lipstick. It is more stylish and sturdy as compared to the original version. The lipsticks look really classy and luxe while they are so cheap. The outer packaging is same, a black card box, but the bullet is enclosed in a silver and glossy black case. While earlier the packaging was matte black. I can feel the improved quality of the packaging. Coloressence Moisturizing Lip Color – Fuchsia Glame 40 Fuchsia is a beautiful rich shade. Coloressence intensified Fuchsia by adding hints of red to the shade. Fuchsia Glame reminds me of NYX Round Lipstick. Fuchsia Glame is suitable for special occasions or where you just want to add color to your face on the go. This shade is also suitable for light, fair, medium & wheatish skin tones. Dusky beauties can also carry it off easily since it has warm undertones. Coloressence Moisturizing Lip Color – Nectar 72 Here comes my one of the most favorite Peach Nude. It’s a subtle shade to prettify your no-makeup looks. You can wear it in office/college. It’s wearable even for every Indian skin tones. Texture & Pigmentation The texture is soft, creamy but it does not melt as some of the other creamy lipsticks do. It moisturizes lips beautifully, so you don’t have to wear a lip balm. The lipsticks do not accentuate fine lines. There is no weird taste to the lipsticks. I really hate Lakme Enrich range for such bad taste though. It literally taste like a rotten metal. Pigmentation wise, the color pay off is nice, but I feel 2-3 swipes do the job well. I can never settle for one swipe, be it any lipstick. The pigmentation is rich and quite smooth. Light shades too offer nice color per swipe. Glossy Or Matte? Finish Of Coloressence Moisturizing Lipsticks The finish of the lipsticks is pearly. They are not glossy, but are not completely matte. You can blot the shine away if you want to as I do. For How Long Do Coloressence Moisturizing Lipsticks Stay? Longevity? These are quite affordable lipsticks, and you can expect the wear upto 3 hours. After that The lipsticks starts to fade away. First the sheen will be lost and then the color. But the color does not go away completely, you can notice subtle color on the lips even after 3 hours. At 199, Coloressence Moisturizing Lipsticks are a steal because of the color and finish they offer. The staying power is also not bad. If you are a college goer or tight on budget, you can surely check out this range. Fuchsia Glame & Nectar are two incredibly beautiful shades, for sure. Get ready for another Lip Smacking range from Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil. I got a hold on Grand Fuchsia & Rosy Lips. Even though it’s costly but when a lipstick’s name spells LUXE, I could not control my urge to splurge. These lipsticks are another birthday gift to myself. And tell you what, I am not regretting the purchase. Lakme Absolute Lip colors were such a hit. Lakme Absolute is reinvented again with Luxe series. The slimstick packaging is almost the same as the previous series, so is the texture only better. So if you love wearing matte but moisturizing shades, you are sure going to find your perfect lipstick with this range. Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color range is infused with Argan Oil. This new range of Slimsticks from Lakme ensures you receive full color, long stay and moisture at the same time. The finish of the lipsticks give a luxurious feeling. Lips stays colored & moisturized for long. All the shades are vibrant and suitable to Indian skin tones. Price & Availability Rs. 800 for 2gm. Pretty expensive. Costlier than the previous range. Lakme is itself becoming a luxury brand itself. Exclusively available on Nykaa. Ingredients Not provided on the packaging. Packaging Lakme presents this new range of Slimsticks which have quite a luxurious look to justify the name & the price tag. The packaging literally qualifies for premium range of lipsticks. The slimsticks are shiny gold with black interior and come in black card box. Sadly no ingredient list is provided on inner or outer packaging. But the lipstick features, price & other manufacturing details are provided. Shade – Grand Fuchsia It is one fabulous fuchsia shade. It is really vibrant shade. It is going to suit even dark skin tones since it is not Neon pink but bit warm toned pink. It brightens up my face and love to wear it for outings. Shade – Rosy Lips This is quite an every day shade. It is muted pink. It has some brown undertones, again suitable for every skin tone for daily wear. It also goes well with an understated look. Fragrance & Texture There is not much fragrance to be smelled out of these lipsticks. But yes one can try and smell a faint artificial smell which is not pungent but not much pleasing either. Since it’s not noticeable hence not an issue for me. These lipsticks does not taste weird but I feel like I have painted my lips with a color. They kind of form a layer over lips. The texture of the lipsticks is pretty smooth & creamy hence moisturizing. They glide easily over my lips. Since the tip goes quite blunt easily, I must use a lip liner to create the outline first and then fill in the lipstick. Pigmentation I find that the pigmentation of the lipsticks is good. It does not require many swipes to get opaque lips full of color. Infused with Argan Oil, glides easily over lips and yields nice color. Keeping the lipsticks open for some time make the lipstick texture go bit dry. Finish The lipsticks give complete matte finish. Even though it contains Moroccan Argan Oil, there is not a trace of glossiness in the finish. There is bit of paint feeling over lips after the lipstick is set. Longevity The staying power of these lipsticks is really nice. Once set, the lipsticks do not transfer and that is the reason the lipsticks lasts long. I wore them for 6-7 hours while having full course meal without touch ups. After 6-7 hours I noticed the color was dull. I feel the lipsticks perform really well in this area. Will I Repurchase Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil? I am really impressed by the texture, pigmentation and staying power of the lipsticks is very impressive and the wide range of colors really attracts me to the range. But 800 bucks matter. I might give in for another shade but don’t see myself buying more than that form the range. It’s too costly. I can rather get a MAC lipstick with few more bucks. Summary : ❤❤❤❤❤ Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil does not require an introduction. The lipsticks are reinvented from Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Matte Lip Color. The texture, pigmentation & longevity are very impressive. The packaging is very beautiful and gives a luxurious feeling. But the price is really high. Even though the performance of the lipsticks justifies the price tag, but shelling out 800 bucks for a single lipstick is not easy for everybody. Lipsticks kind of give me hangover. Hello Pretty Girls, I am back with another parabene free lipstick from Johara Rich Creme Lip Color Range. Saucy Red is a berry red color which is one of the most favorite shade of Indian women for all skin types. Johara Rich Creme Lip Color range is highly moisturizing and shiny range. I usually prefer matte shades because I have oily skin. Shiny lips does not go well with a shiny face. So I prefer to blot it down bit with tissue. It also makes it stay for longer than it is. This is my second lipstick from Johara Rich Creme range. I have used Poppy Coral form the same range. So let’s find out, what is there to like about this lipstick. Johara Creme Rich Lip Color Johara presents high in moisture lipsticks that are Parabens free, Lanoline free, Mineral Oil free & Nano-ingredient free. This rich lip color has rare Ricin Oil & Vitamin E to hydrate & nourish your lips. The lip color comes in 12 dazzling shades to suit your work place and party mood. Price Rs. 395 for 4.5g. Ingredients Johara Creme Rich Lip Color – Shades This lip color comes in 12 shades as listed below: Cranberry, Cherry Red, Cocoa Delight, Grape Wine, Mahogany, Pink Flash, Pink Petals, Poppy Coral, Princess, Saucy Red, Sunny Squash, Tempting Fudge. Shade – Saucy Red It is a beautiful beery shade. It would look good on every skin tone be it fair, medium or dark. I generally do not like to wear berry shades that are glossy like this. This would be too shiny for a day outing but would do justice to a glamorous look at night. Packaging The lipstick comes inside a black card box. This is a signature packaging from Johara. It looks classy. The actual lip color is packed inside a dull metallic packaging with gold interior. The bullet looks very pretty as you open the cap. You will find shade name at the bottom of the bullet. All other is information including ingredients, price etc is printed over the outer packaging. The packaging is sturdy & travel friendly. Fragrance & Texture I hardly notice any scent from lipsticks, but this is a highly scented lip color from Johara. It smells chocolaty sweet. Though I don’t taste anything weird on my lips after wearing it. Even after wearing for half an hour, I can feel a fainted chocolate smell. Since the smell is pleasant, I don’t mind it. This is a rich in moisture lip color, hence it glides very smoothly on my lips. I do not need to use a lip balm underneath this lipstick. The texture makes it give a satin smooth finish to my lips. I can blot the shine off my lips when I do not want it. Due to creamy nature of the bullet, it can’t stand heat much. Also I try not to apply much pressure otherwise it leaves behind little chunks. Pigmentation Pigmentation of the lip color is decent. Two swipes gives nice color pay off. I never really use one swipe of anything. It just does not give me satisfaction. The lipstick does not look patchy at all. The color is evenly distributed. Longevity It is a moisturizing lipstick, hence it transfers a lot in the first hour of application. It can’t survive meals, you would loose it completely or at least from the center of your lips a very dreadful look that is. If you are not having meals then also it won’t survive more than 3 hours without touch ups. Likes Creamy texture. Enriched with Ricin Oil & Vitamin E. Hydrates lips & does not accentuate fine lines. Gives satin smooth finish finish. Gives nice color pay off. Nice sturdy packaging. Has a nice fragrance. This shade suitable for all skin types. Free of parabenes, Lanoline, Mineral Oil & Nano-ingredient. Dislikes Can not survive meals. Staying power is low. Pricey for the performance it gives. Melts easily. Will I repurchase Johara Creme Rich Lip Color? No. I received in one of my beauty box. I would never go buy this lipstick for 300 bucks. The price is not worth the staying power it offers. Though the shade range is vast but the colors are very repetitive. Summary : 4/5 Highly moisturizing lipsticks have a tendency to transfer easily hence does not stay on lips for long. This lipstick is not a must have, but it is okay in terms of pigmentation. If you do not mind frequent touch ups, you can go for this range. For those ultra glossy nights it will be your perfect companion but then you also this particular shade is beautiful and suitable for all skin types. More from the brand? Me too because this new range, Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick is the hottest talk of the town. Lakme re-invented Lakme 9 To 5 Lipsticks in Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick. Lakme has already done so in the past too, like Lakme 9 To 5 Quartet. That’s why you will notice the shade names are similar to the old range. So you can buy your favorite shade from the range but with a better formula, a formula that lasts upto 12 hours. Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick Lakme re-invents it’s 9 To 5 Lip Color giving it a long lasting formula infused with primer which preps lips for a smooth application and long lasting color. The Primer + Matte formula ensures flawless finish, intense color pay off, matte finish & 12 hour long stay. Price Rs. 480 for 3.6gm. Buy here. Packaging Lakme has not changed the packaging of Lakme 9 To 5 Lip Color range. The new range too comes in the same rose-gold packaging. The packaging is quite shiny & classy. The shade name is provided at the bottom of every lip color. The lipstick bullet has Lakme 9 to 5 logo printed over it. Some of the bullets are easy to twist up while some takes bit of pressure to pop out of the shell. Shade – Red Letter MR9 A warm toned beautiful & bright red shade from the range. It won’t disappoint any skin tone. Any skin complexion can carry it well, because of it’s warm undertones. Shade – Blush Book MR 19 It is baby pink shade. It is an everyday shade for college/office/casual outings. It has bot of cool undertones, hence one should apply it in moderation. Also it kind of accentuates dry lines if you have them on your lips. It might look patchy if not applied with care. Shade – Ruby Rush MR 20 I take Ruby shades are generally a mix of red & pink. This shade too is a nice mix of pinkish red. If I wipe of the color off my lips, I will see a pinkish tint behind. Very wearable when you want to flaunt your luscious put on that eventful night. Shade – Fuchsia File MR 21 A true Fuchsia shade in the range. A bright, bold & loud shade. It can brighten up a dull day in no time. It is a cool toned pink, hence make sure your skin tone agrees with the shade. Shade – Scarlet Surge MR 22 I have worn many scarlets on my lips. It is also going to be a memorable one. It is another nice red shade just bit deep. Scarlet Surge is just a bit darker than Red Letter giving a mysterious look to my face. It is another versatile shade in the range. I wish I could grab all of the 30 shades in the range, but then most of them are repetitive. It was really hard to point out a different between Scarlet Surge & red Letter, unless I really took a close look. I opted only for the bold shades and left out nudes or brown shades, since this year is a celebration of bold shades. Fragrance & Texture The lip colors in this range do not contain fragrance neither do they taste weird. This is always a plus point when it comes to lip products, at least for me. Texture of the old Lakme 9 To 5 Lip Color range was wonderful and so is of this re-invented range. It is creamy & moisturizing, giving a smooth finish & intense color. Pigmentation The range presents highly pigmented lip colors. One swipe gives nice color pay off, while another swipe will seal the intensity in the shade. You can still go on for more swipes but the formula won’t feel weird. The intensity is buildable. Longevity Lakme claims to give 12 hours color to the lips with this re-invented 9 To 5 range. I have worn the bold shades for entire days, but at least 2 touch ups are required in the span of 12 hours. Because I can not stay without meals or caffeine which means, object touching my lips & stealing the moisture along with bit of the color every single time. The color did not wipe off entirely or went patchy, but yes, after 4-5 hours, one touch up is necessary. Finish It is matte. It is moisturizing but matte. Some of the colors might accentuate bit of fine lines, so make sure to prepare your lips before hand to wear the matte lipsticks. Summarizing, Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color range is a fabulous range from the brand. It is intense in color, offers 30 shades & classy packaging, under 500 bucks & gives very long stay on lips. Worth every penny. ❤❤❤❤❤ Are you too eyeing upon this range? Hi, Coral shades are like my weakness, specially in lip colors. With my June Fab Bag, I had an option to choose my makeup product. I was presented with a list of Johara Creme Rich Lip Colors, I had to choose my shade. Most of them looked deep shades, while I wanted something bright & bold. I picked up Poppy Coral. After receiving it in my recent fab bag, as I opened the cap of the lip color, I was bit disappointed, why? You will come to know in a while. Johara Creme Rich Lip Color Johara presents high in moisture lipsticks that are Parabens free, Lanoline free, Mineral Oil free & Nano-ingredient free. This rich lip color has rare Ricin Oil & Vitamin E to hydrate & nourish your lips. The lip color comes in 12 dazzling shades to suit your work place and party mood. Price Rs. 395 for 4.5g. It is a deep peach-brown shade. A shade which looks dupe of Nykaa PaintStix Peaches n Cream. It is an everyday shade which is going to suit every skin tone-. But it’s not coral which is heartbreaking. It leaves behind a peachy-pink tint. Pigmentation Pigmentation of the lip color is decent. Two swipes gives nice color pay off. I never really use one swipe of anything. It just does not give me satisfaction. The lipstick does not look patchy at all. The color is evenly distributed. Longevity It is a moisturizing lipstick, hence it transfers a lot in the first hour of application. Johara is a new brand to me, I have not used much products from this brand apart form Johara nail paint which again I received in Fab Bag. But it looks promising to me.
