Check out the lip balm here at discounted price. Fuschia Plush Peach Natural Handmade Lip Balm This is my current favorite lip balm. It’s lightweight, non sticky & natural lip balm. It is handmade as all the other products of Fuschia. It smells mild and fruity. It gives bit of tingling sensation to lips. It nourishes lips without feeling heavy. The natural lip balm contains Shea Butter, Natural Beeswax & Kokum Butter. Also it does not contain harmful chemical, parabenes or synthetic scents. Priced at Rs. 250 you can by it from Fuschia’s website & Amazon.in It does not give much color to lips though. Hence it is wearable beneath your matte lipsticks too. Just Herbs Marigold Mango Lip Contour Balm This is a clear gel like lip contouring lip balm which gives a nice sensation to lips upon application. If you are not a fan of tinted lip balms, you can use this clear & lightweight lip balm. It heals lips within few applications and protects them against further environmental damage . It is priced bit pricey among the others at 345 INR but does not contain parabenes or mineral oils. The ingredient list is also very impressive. Tvakh Midas Touch Ultra Nourishing Lip Tint With SPF This SPF infused lip tint is a great choice if you liked to use tinted lip balms. This is a 99% natural lip balm which gives a reddish/golden tint to lips. It is quite enchanting to use this lip balm. I ma not sure how many of you would really like to use this golden lip tint, but I feel it is quite unique. This lip tint is also free of parabenes, petroleum byproducts & GMO. Tvakh CE-NAMON Lip Plumper I know you all love lip plumper. They really works fab to give you a sensuous look. What could be more wonderful then using a Cinnamon infused lip product to get those ultra plumped lips. This lip plumper from Tvakh is a nice product which gives nice fluttering & tinted lips. The lip plumper is also infused with SPF 4. Argan Oil contained in the lip plumper nourish them for long lasting effect. The lip plumper is eco-certified as well as non-toxic. Botanic Love Grapefruit Lip Balm Botanic Love is a 100% natural & organic brand. I love everything I have tried from their brand. Specially the acne mask. I received this lip balm from Botanic Love as a token of love. This is a lip balm cum plumper. It works great to nourish lips & refine texture of lips. It is colorless but not tasteless. It gives bit of weird taste upon application which is not I look into my lip balms. But I like to use it at night, finally when I am drifting off to sleep. These are some lip balms which will really help you sail through the Autumn & later the winter season smoothly. Hi, Lip balms are something you use throughout the year. What kind of lip balms I prefer? Moisturization is the first factor that matters. Besides this, I also like to use a lip balm that is lightweight, color less and ordure less. I want my lip balm to be invisible, almost. I already have used highly moisturizing lip balms such as Pure Shea Butter from Karite Buerre , Maybelline Baby Lips, Nivea Lip Balm, VLCC Lip Balm, Matra Holistic Lip Balm in Kiwi, Himalya Clear Lip Balm and many more. No doubt the moisture level is commendable of these lip balms, but somehow, they felt bit heavy or gave too much color while some had weird taste. Anyway, I can’t stick to single product, hence I am presenting my current favorite lip balm. Biotique Bio Berry Lip Plumping Lip Balm. Biotique Bio Berry Lip Plumping Lip Balm Biotique is an old brand which brings the power of Auyrveda through it’s products directly to us. The lip balm is also a bio product. Berries are full of vitamins and phytochemicals, which this lip balm contains. The lip balm has a natural plumping action on lips and leaves lips voluptuous like bee stung. The lip balm keeps lips moisturized and refined. Price Rs. 199 for 12gm. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging Biotique Bio Berry Plumping Lip Balm comes in a green and white themed tub packaging which is the signature packaging from Biotique. It comes in small white tub with green colored screw-in lid. Also there is an intermediate white colored plastic lid to avoid any spillage. The packaging is bit unhygienic, but you can choose to pick the roll on type pack. I make sure my hands are clean before dipping my fore finger in to the tub. Fragrance & Texture It has a very sweet smell, almost like fruit jam, since it contains Berries. It smells very delicious. Texture wise, this is a lightweight pink colored gel based lip balm. Every application requires just a swipe of the lip balm and am all set for the day. My Experience During monsoon, my lips are not that dry or chapped as they can be during harsh winter or full time summer. Lips have thin skin and they need bit of moisture. Underneath matte lipsticks, sometimes, it’s necessary to wear a lip balm, specially a clear and lightweight. Biotique Bio Berry Plumping Lip Balm is a very lightweight yet moisturizing lip balm which claims to give a plumping effect. So far, I have not experienced much of the plumping effect though. When I applied the lip balm for the very first time, I felt a bit of tingling sensation, but after that, I never had that feeling. The lip balm works perfectly underneath a matte lipstick and protects my lips from getting over dried. It does not give much color to the lips hence does not interfere with the color payoff of a lipstick. Neither does it give ultra glossy finish to my lips since it is lightweight. It’s that kind of lip balm which you would like to use before going to bed, since it does not contain SPF. During day you would rather want to go with a SPF infused lip balm. Likes Lightweight. Almost Colorless. Moisturizing. Infused with natural ingredients. Smells very delicious almost like a fruit jam. Affordable, economical and easily available. Dislikes Does not give any plumping effect to my lips. Contains no sun protection. I find Biotique Bio Berry Plumping Lip Balm a very nice lip balm being lightweight and moisturizing. It is my kind of lip balm without weird smell, taste or much color. It is affordable & economical. It also comes in a bullet. Hello Dolls, What’s up? Yesterday I was watching Koffee With Karan, Variya (Varun Dhawan & Aaliya Bhatt) were the guests. They were so fun to watch together. The rapid fire round with Varun was awesome. My stomach literally hurt when Varun said that he wanted to have Shahid’s little Girl… soon he realized it might be aired in a wrong a way & he tried correcting his statement. But he made many foolish statements in the process. It was so spontaneous. Aaliya’s hysterical laugh made it worse for Varun. Moving on to today’s post, I am going to talk about two lip balms from Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow range – Raspberry & Mixed Berry. Maybelline Baby Lips does not need any introduction. Above all, I like the fact that Maybelline comes with new & improved formula every year so that we do not get bored of the lip balms. The baby lips lip balms have evolved over a period of time becoming more intense in moisture & color. That’s the reason every girl hoards them. Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Lip Balms This range of baby lips is topped with sheer gloss & candy flavor. The lip balms comes in different shades to suit your mood. The packaging is attractive & sleek to fit in your pocket. Forget dry lips forever. Price Rs. 275 for 2g. Buy here at discounted price. Packaging The Candy Wow range comes in a retractable pencil form which is convenient to carry & apply. The Raspberry version is packed inside a pink pencil while the Mixed Berry version is packed inside a purple pencil. The packaging color also indicates the tint. At the bottom of the chubby tube Candy Wow & the flavor is printed. No ingredient list is mentioned on the packaging. Taste, Texture & Smell Honestly the lip balms are tasteless, the flavor should be treated as shade name only & thank God for that. I do not want my lip balms to taste as any thing, be it a fruit. Though there is a nice & very mild fruity smell in the lip balms. The lip balms are buttery wax in texture & does not make lips feel uncomfortable. There is no heavy feeling afterwords. One swipe gives enough moisture to my lips. Since the lip balms are creamy in texture, they have tendency to melt down in high temperature. This melt down deforms the shape of the lip balm. Also the abundance of glossiness & color in the lip balms make them unfit to be worn under every kind of lipstick. I always prefer clear & non shiny lip balm underneath lip products. Flavor – Raspberry This is my favorite from the range. A natural pink/coral-ish tint with lots of glossy shine. It’s my go to lip balm. Flavor – Mixed Berry The shade gives purple tint to lips. It’s pretty bold color. I do not like purplish tints, but it is wearable after blotting off a bit. Both shades wear off leaving a pink tint behind. Pigmentation Color pay off of these lip balms is decent, but to get perfect color on lips, 2-3 swipes are required, which also gives a lot of sheen to the lips. Finish The finish is very glossy. If you swipe the lip balm just once, there will be sheen but in case you desire more color on your lips, 2-3 swipes of the lip balms will also get you glossy lips with nice color pay off. It seems like you are wearing a lip gloss. I do not like this much glossiness for daily wear since I have oily skin. I would prefer glossy lips only with matte base on my face. Longevity The lip balm stays on lips for 2-3 hours, after which the moisture part as well as the tint is lost. The glossiness can be blotted off, it any ways, wears off after an hour or so. Lips stays soft & moisturized all day long. Summary Except the extra glossy finish that this range provides, everything else is just awesome. The color pay off is comparable to sheer lipsticks without any sticky feeling. The lip balms hydrates lips to great extent & heels chapped lips. The detailed claims, ingredients, guidelines and other detailed information are written in the outer cardboard covering of this lip balm. So, if you lose this outer pack, you are going to miss every bit of technical detail except for the expiry date. Texture & Smell The texture is very smooth and moisturizing capability is medium. The bullet is soft so the product applies to my lips quickly without heavy tug or pull. The balm does not settle into fine lines of my lips. I keep my balm stick in normal temperature but thankfully it is not showing any indication of melting till now. This lip balm has fresh mint kind of smell. The fragrance is very light and soothing. Shade -Pink Alert The shade Pink Alert is a bubblegum pink colour with neutral undertones. This particular undertone, in my opinion, works on everybody. The shade looks quite vibrant in the bullet and this vibe of pink is maintained as you apply it to your lips. This kind of pink shade is perfect for everyday purposes like while going to office or college. Shade – Vivid Peach It is a coral red-orange shade with warm undertones. The shade is perfect for all skin tones. This shade is a basic coal shade lip tint that everyone can use for daily purpose specially in the summer months. People who shy away from orange or coral shades will find it a good option to get acquainted with bold yet muted lip colour. Shade – Beaming Violet It is a pink-purple kind of lip tint with bluish undertones. Though it is cool toned shade, it suits Indian complexions because it gives translucent finish. Though the shade is neonish, it has subtlety that makes it a nice shade for college, office or outings Pigmentation Pigmentation is very good with this Bright Out Loud! series of lip balms and the shades too is blessed with good colour-payoff. In 3-4 swipes the original colour comes to the lips in translucent form. Staying Power This lipbalm stays put on my lips for 3-4 hours without any meal or drink. After that the moisturizing balmy part starts to go off. The tint, however, remains for 2-3 more hours. Finish This lip balms give shiny finish to the lips. Though the shine is not too dramatic like lip glosses, it looks natural on the lips. My Views I have dry lips that get chapped even in the summers if I am not using a proper lip moisturizer and my homemade lip scrub. I keep a set of tinted lip balms handy for everyday sort of going-outs. I was lacking a pink lip balm with neutral tones that’s why I ended up buying this particular shade of lip balm from the Bright Out Loud! collection. All three shades felt superb both lip moisturizing capability wise and tint wise. This lip balm is not too greasy like the Spiced Up! Range of Baby Lips while not too light as Baby Lips’ Electro Pop range. The staying power and pigmentation are good too. It has very freshening minty fragrance and gives slight tingly feeling to the lips immediately after application. The shade gives a natural pink to my lips which has already earned me lots of compliments as well! Likes Vibrant shade with translucent colour pay-off Pink Alert is a bubblegum pink shade with neutral undertones Provides with enough moisture required for hot summer days Refreshing peppermint fragrance and slight tingling sensations Staying power is good and the shade is suitable for all skin tones Funky packaging Dislikes Could not find any Summary: 5/5 I would suggest these lip balms to every skin tone who are interested in an under 200 bucks lipbalm with an everyday sort of a lip tint. Hello Girls, Still hooked on Baby Lips? I know it’s one of the most talked about lip balm in the town but sometimes, I really get bored of using this sometimes. And then I dig deeper into my stash and I find some really cool lip balms. I got Matra Holistic Lip Care in recent Fab Bag, I did not toss this into my stash intentionally. I used it for some days & then it got lost into my dresser drawer somehow. But I stumbled upon it few days back & used it again, realizing how amazing it is. So here I am writing about this lip balm. About Matra Holistic Lip Care Lip Balm One really awesome thing about this lip balm is that it is natural & organic. Made in India. The lip balm is free of synthetic agents, pathlates, sulphates, parabenes, silicons, petrochemicals & glycols. The lip balm is Vitamin enriched, SPF infused & handcrafted. Matra is cruelty free brand. Price Rs. 199 4.5 gm. Buy here at discounted price. Variants Vanilla Ice, Strawberry & Kiwi. Ingredients Packaging It comes in an intractable packaging which is quite convenient for lip balms. Since the flavor is Kiwi, the packaging is also dark green colored. The mouth of the lip balm is covered with dark green colored small cap. Ingredient list and other specifications are mentioned on the pack. There are small kiwis too printed on the packaging. The lip balm is small enough to fit into the palm of my hand. Color, Texture & Smell The lip balm is bright green colored mimicking pulp of kiwi fruit. The smell is also refreshing kiwi. The lip balm is waxy but doe not make my lips feel weird. It glides on my lips effortlessly providing nourishment with first swipe. But it does not provide any color to my lips. The lip balm is colorless. My Experience What do I expect a lip balm to do? It should heal cracked lips. It should moisturize dry lips. It should protect my lips. It should smell nice. It should not taste funny. It should be as natural as one lip balm could be. I find, Matra Lip Balm, to deliver all these claims. That too without providing any tint to my lips. I totally love this lip balm. It is highly moisturizing & caring to my lips. It is natural & organic. It is devoid of harmful chemicals. The smell is mild & refreshing. Smells like kiwis. There is no after taste. The lip balm is colorless which some might not like, but it is a big plus to me. Since sometimes I just need moisture to my lips & no tint. It is colorless. So I can wear this beneath matte lip colors whenever I need this. It does not give intense shine or glossiness to lips. I just feel a protective layer on my lips which is highly desirable. It does not interfere with the application of lip products above it. It means my matte lipsticks stay matte but my lips does not dry out. The lip balm is going to last me very long since one swipe across my lips is enough to provide enough moisture & protection. The lip balm stays for 3-4 hours on my lips, and after that too the moisturizing effect too stays on my lips. The brand claims that it contains SPF but has not mentioned the amount. Likes Pure & Natural lip balm. Contains Vitamin A, C & E. Free from harmful chemicals. Heals, moisturizes & protects my lips. Stays for long on my lips. Devoid of color. Nice texture. No interference with other lip products. Travel friendly packaging. Dislikes SPF amount is not mentioned. Only available via online websites. Summary: 4.5/5 Matra Holistic Lip Balm is definitely a keeper. It can be a great substitute of Maybelline Baby Lips if you are looking for colourless lip balms. It is affordable & devoid of harmful chemicals. Comes in convenient packaging & smells nice. I would like to try other flavors from the range.

Hello Gorgeous Girls, Good Morning. I am totally loving this season and wish that summer never come. Even though the temperature has gone down way too much but I would rather shiver in cold than smear in sweat. But Indian winter are very short and they go away pretty soon. Very less time is left to wear those beautiful coats and boots with bright lipsticks. Let’s just enjoy whatsoever of this beautiful season is left. Lip balms are unavoidable during winter. I got Miss Claire lip balm for my sister since she is a fan and was not able to get ah old on it from a long time. But I could not control my self from dipping my fingers and testing it out by myself for few days. Read on, how it fared on my dry lips. About Miss Claire Lip Balm Orange Miss Claire says that keep your lips soft and supple whilst protecting them from the harsh weather. Price Rs. 120 for 10gm. Ingredients Potybutene, Minearal Oil, Pentaerythrityl, Tetraisostearate, Polyethylene, Hydroxy Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Perfume & Colour. Packaging It comes in a light orange small plastic pot. The glass pot is really cute Miss Claire written in bold letters and some oranges flying here and there. I would not prefer a lip balm in pot though since it’s unhygienic and inconvenient. Variants I have also spotted this lip balm in Strawberry & Mango flavours. Not sure about other flavours. Colour, Texture & Smell The lip balm is light orange clear gel. The texture of the lip balm is really fine and smooth. It’s easy to take out the product out of the pot and put on the lips. The lip balm goes on the lips very smoothly without stickiness. Even though in the pot the lip balm looks orange-ish, but on my lips it goes clear. It smells sweet like oranges. My Experience I don’t drink much water during winter, I just forget. I know it’s a big sin you can commit to your skin and body, but I seriously can’t manage to drink much water through out the day. So eventually I have quite dry lips. I need a good lip balm. Pure’s Shea Butter works really fine for me. The moment I dip my finger into the Miss Claire lip balm pot, the fragrance touches my senses. I take out little product from the pot and apply it on my thirsty lips. There is no stickiness. Since the texture is gel like it is light weight, does not give any heavy feeling. I do not need to re apply it after every hour, since it moisturises my lips for long hours. My lips feel smooth. There are no dry lines or chapped lips afterwords. Since the formula is clear, I can wear it beneath other lip products. Overall I quite liked it, just wish it was widely available. Likes Very smooth textured lip balm. Light weight formula. Moisturises lips for long hours. No stickiness. Can be worn under other lip products. Very affordable. 10 grams of a lip balm is quite huge. According to my sister it lasts her for more than 4 months of daily application. Dislikes Availability is an issue. Summary: 4.75/5 A very affordable and effective lip balm with yummy smell. Ingredients Packaging This particular lip balm in a mauve coloured screw-in tube with transparent over cap. The tubes are color coded according to the -flavour/shade. The lip balm comes in a convenient packaging. It is easy to carry and apply. The transparent lid also let you know the colour of the lip balm in case you own many from the range. Shades Rose, Strawberry, Peach, Orange, Almond, Honey, Cherry, Mango. I got Rose for my self. It gives mauve/purple tint. Taste, Texture & Smell The texture of the lip balm is as expected, creamy. It glides on the lips very smoothly. The smell is not what I expected. I expected it to smell like roses, but it does not, it actually smells more like scented sticks 🙁 . Also it has little weird taste, which is really undesired from a lip balm. If I have to define the taste, I would say it has little soapy taste. My Experience I have been very loyal to Maybelline Baby Lips from last few years. It is highly moisturising and gives good colour too. Still I can’t keep my ogling eyes from checking out other lip balms. For example, I liked the fresh packaging of VLCC Lovable Lips, and I bought it. Frankly I liked the title of the product, “Lovable Lips”, quite catchy huh? I also like the rich creamy texture of this lip balm. Just one swipe across my lips, and my lips are moisturised. I do not need to use the lip balm for at least next 5-6 hours. The lip balm wears off with meals but the moisture stays on my lips for the entire day. It heals my dry lips in just one application. It is a tinted lip balm and delivers purple colour initially. The colour pay off is as good as a sheer lipstick. Even when the colour wears off, it leaves my lips tinted as natural pink. I just love that colour on my lips. Now coming to the bad part, I do not like the taste of this lip balm. It literally tastes little soapy for few minutes when you apply it. I feel a lip balm should be taste less or at least should not taste bad. Likes Rich creamy texture. Contains goodness of Jojoba oil, Almond oil & Vitamin E. Contains Sun Protection Factor (SPF 15). One swipe gives moisture & colour to lips Lips stay moisturised for really long hours. Convenient packaging. Very affordable. Easily available. Vast range to choose the shade. Contains SPF 15 No waxy feeling on lips. Dislikes Tastes little soapy initially. Does not smell like roses. What’s the point in naming it “Rose”? I am a product junkie, I might have a body wash, but I would still buy another and another and another. I would already own a scrub but then I would get smitten by a fancy brand. Similarly, I have got so many lip balms, some are forgotten, some just lying at the back of my dresser waiting to be re-discovered. If you are aware, I have confessed my love for pure which is colourless & odourless high at hydration multi purpose balm. But when I am in the mood of colour some time, I reach for the forgotten ones. These are the two mostly used lip balms after Karite Buerre’s Pure Shea Butter, Maybelline Baby Lips & Nivea Fruity Shine. Thought why not compare the two just for fun. Pure Shea Butter by Karite Buerre : My Search For Lip Balm Ends

Dry days have arrived. I have started feeling little chill in the air and am loving it. This is actually an amazing time. We have got so many festivals going on and the summer is bidding good bye for few months. Recently I have started feeling that my oily skin has turned little flaky and rough. Until I start using my cleanser for winters, Cetaphil, my skin will demand of a heavy moisturiser than Clean n Clear oil free moisturiser. So I sometimes dab on some butter on my face, I mean Shea Butter. Karite Buerre recently entered into skin care. I was introduced to this brand by Fab Bag. I generally don’t subscribe to fab bags. I read reviews of every month’s fab bag contents. If, I feel, 2-3 products are good, then I order one otherwise skip. Coming back to the cute little tub of smoothness, I think it was a wise decision to get the June fab bag. There were Geri G Foundation, some shampoo sample (which is lying unused in my stash), Livon serum samples and Pure Shea butter. Claims by Karite Buerre: Treatment of dry skin, eczema, and minor burns. Pain relief from swelling and arthritis. Improves muscle relaxation and stiffness. Natural Sunscreen (SPF6), due to its rich content of vitamins A & E. Treats dark spots, skin discolorations, stretch marks, wrinkles and blemishes. Massages, diaper rash, and as a hair conditioner and much more. Price: It retails at Rs.499 for 50 grams. I got a sample from Fab Bag which weighs 20gms. Availability: FabBag.com and some other e commerce websites. Ingredients: Except Shea Butter, nothing else has been mentioned. Texture, Color & Smell: Its texture/color is almost like a mix of the old petroleum jelly and butter, but in no way it’s sticky or heavy. It smells nutty though. Packaging: Comes in a opaque tub packaging. My Experience: I agree to its claim of being a multi purpose cream/lotion/dunno what to call it. I have sometimes used it as a hand moisturiser, it really makes some difference but I have used it mostly as a lip balm, and trust me it is the best. Dry lips need moisture as well as protection. Pure gives both. If I believe Karite Buerre (it sounds s-e-x-y), this little pot is filled with Vitamin A & E, both the vitamins are known for their age defying properties. And who does not want to have a layer of such potent vitamins on her skin? I like how beautifully it glides on my lips and fill in to the dry patches making them 50% smooth in the very first application. If I rub it a little it almost gets absorbed, leaving just little hints of I-was-there. I sometimes put this butter on my dry heels at night and they turn soft by morning. To test it as a body & hair moisturiser, I think I will have to buy few more pots. This current 20gm sample or 50 gm pot won’t satisfy my dry body/hair needs. Question is would I really like to put something like butter on my body or hair? I don’t think so. I have better absorbing lotions and serums, for instance, my all time favourite Nivea Body Milk. I am not doubting its capacity as a face moisturiser also, it has helped my with sudden dry spots, but being an acne prone skin bearer, I would steer clear of such products which leave glossy finish no matter how much light weight it is, I am also little afraid to use it as a full time moisturiser. For dry spot applications, it has never disappointed me. I think dry skinned people would love it, be it woman or man. As a lip balm, I don’t think any thing else would ever be able to take it’s place in my vanity now. I might & will buy fancy looking lip balms, but will always come back to it.It’s been a month now, since I have last touched any other lip balm, be it day or night. Except the price & provided quantity, I don’t have any issues. It is Likes: Lightweight & smooth texture. Nutty smell. Heals dry skin really fast. A boon for dry skin & lips. Claims to be 100% natural. No sticky feeling. Dislikes: Either quantity should have been more, or the price should have been lesser. No complete ingredient list. Rating: 4.5/5 I would restock this magic pot every winter. Dry Spots, where are you? Final Words: If you a have dry skin/lips, it’s a must have for the coming winters. Hope you liked this post.
