Get ready for another Lip Smacking range from Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil. I got a hold on Grand Fuchsia & Rosy Lips. Even though it’s costly but when a lipstick’s name spells LUXE, I could not control my urge to splurge. These lipsticks are another birthday gift to myself. And tell you what, I am not regretting the purchase. Lakme Absolute Lip colors were such a hit. Lakme Absolute is reinvented again with Luxe series. The slimstick packaging is almost the same as the previous series, so is the texture only better. So if you love wearing matte but moisturizing shades, you are sure going to find your perfect lipstick with this range. Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color range is infused with Argan Oil. This new range of Slimsticks from Lakme ensures you receive full color, long stay and moisture at the same time. The finish of the lipsticks give a luxurious feeling. Lips stays colored & moisturized for long. All the shades are vibrant and suitable to Indian skin tones. Price & Availability Rs. 800 for 2gm. Pretty expensive. Costlier than the previous range. Lakme is itself becoming a luxury brand itself. Exclusively available on Nykaa. Ingredients Not provided on the packaging. Packaging Lakme presents this new range of Slimsticks which have quite a luxurious look to justify the name & the price tag. The packaging literally qualifies for premium range of lipsticks. The slimsticks are shiny gold with black interior and come in black card box. Sadly no ingredient list is provided on inner or outer packaging. But the lipstick features, price & other manufacturing details are provided. Shade – Grand Fuchsia It is one fabulous fuchsia shade. It is really vibrant shade. It is going to suit even dark skin tones since it is not Neon pink but bit warm toned pink. It brightens up my face and love to wear it for outings. Shade – Rosy Lips This is quite an every day shade. It is muted pink. It has some brown undertones, again suitable for every skin tone for daily wear. It also goes well with an understated look. Fragrance & Texture There is not much fragrance to be smelled out of these lipsticks. But yes one can try and smell a faint artificial smell which is not pungent but not much pleasing either. Since it’s not noticeable hence not an issue for me. These lipsticks does not taste weird but I feel like I have painted my lips with a color. They kind of form a layer over lips. The texture of the lipsticks is pretty smooth & creamy hence moisturizing. They glide easily over my lips. Since the tip goes quite blunt easily, I must use a lip liner to create the outline first and then fill in the lipstick. Pigmentation I find that the pigmentation of the lipsticks is good. It does not require many swipes to get opaque lips full of color. Infused with Argan Oil, glides easily over lips and yields nice color. Keeping the lipsticks open for some time make the lipstick texture go bit dry. Finish The lipsticks give complete matte finish. Even though it contains Moroccan Argan Oil, there is not a trace of glossiness in the finish. There is bit of paint feeling over lips after the lipstick is set. Longevity The staying power of these lipsticks is really nice. Once set, the lipsticks do not transfer and that is the reason the lipsticks lasts long. I wore them for 6-7 hours while having full course meal without touch ups. After 6-7 hours I noticed the color was dull. I feel the lipsticks perform really well in this area. Will I Repurchase Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil? I am really impressed by the texture, pigmentation and staying power of the lipsticks is very impressive and the wide range of colors really attracts me to the range. But 800 bucks matter. I might give in for another shade but don’t see myself buying more than that form the range. It’s too costly. I can rather get a MAC lipstick with few more bucks. Summary : ❤❤❤❤❤ Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Lip Color With Argan Oil does not require an introduction. The lipsticks are reinvented from Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Matte Lip Color. The texture, pigmentation & longevity are very impressive. The packaging is very beautiful and gives a luxurious feeling. But the price is really high. Even though the performance of the lipsticks justifies the price tag, but shelling out 800 bucks for a single lipstick is not easy for everybody. Lipsticks kind of give me hangover. It feels great to experience a new piece. What you think? Have you tried this range? If not, would you like to try out this range? Leave your comments. Much Love.

Kajal lovers, here is another beautiful piece coming right your way. I got Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal as a free gift with Lakme Primer +Matte Lipsticks. I have been using it on and off since I am still hooked on Plum Angel Eyes Kajal. But I like it for the performance & the texture it offers. It’s black technically, but I feel it’s not pure black or jet black that you really want your kajal to be. At least on my waterline, it goes bit of grey, & let me tell you, I love it. I have loads of kajals/kohls that are jet black, so having a grey colored kajal is total fun. Actually jet black kajals can be too harsh for my skin tone sometimes, hence, going for a brown (I lost Rimmel Scandalous Eyes in Brown 🙁 )or grey is very nice option for every day look. Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal Lakme presents the blackest of black kajal Ebony Black in twist up retractable form which gives intense color pay off. The sharp design gives a nice hold of the pencil for precise application. The kajal goes smudge proof for long hours on your eyes. Price Rs. 750 0.35g. Buy here. Packaging It comes in an all black retractable stick form. This kind of packaging is very handy since I do not require to sharp the product every now or then which mostly results in wasting the product. There is a matte black band from where you can hold the pencil and apply it to give without any slip. The tip of the pencil does not stay in shape, but I can still manage it, since I do not wear a winged eyeliner with it. Shade – Ebony Black This is supposed to be the blackest back shade. On my hand it is the blackest black, with perfect color pay off, but somehow, my water line is not able to receive that much intensity. Good for me. It mostly looks matte grey, a dark matte grey. Nice color I tell you. Fragrance & Texture It is creamy in texture but not ultra creamy that it would break off, plus point for that. So no pressure is required to apply the kajal on my water line, or on my lash line. I hardly wear liner on my lash line since I have small deep set eyes, hence I just line my eyes with this kajal. It goes perfectly smooth every where. No irritation ever noticed. It won’t smudge on it’s own until you want it too using a smudger or something. It has quick dry formula, hence you need to be quick to smudge it intentionally. It does not have any kind of fragrance. Pigmentation It is intense in pigmentation no doubt. As you can see on my hand, it gives a nice black shade. On my water line, single swipe gives nice dark & matte grey color. 2-3 swipe intensify the color, but never wash out my wheatish complexion. Finish It sets into matte finish. This beauty can not give you shiny eyes & it’s not sorry for that. The formula is quick dry hence, sets very soon. Longevity It stays put for nice 6-7 hours, the maximum I have worn it till the day. It does not smudge as such but if rubbed with water it can come off in layers, weird huh? Likes Nice creamy texture. glides on eyes very smoothly. Nice color payoff. Does not smudge, Stays put for 6-7 hours. Does not irritate eyes. Convenient packaging. Quick dry formula gives matte finish. Dislikes Bit pricey for a kajal. Not entirely water proof. Black Ebony surprisingly does not go jet black on my water line. It rather stays dark grey, not a con for me. Summary : 4.5/5 Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal, offers smooth texture, quick dry formula, intense color & smudge proof long stay. It is bit pricey but worth every penny. Hope you liked the review. Please don’t hate me for the bad pictures, since I don’t have my DSLR with me right now and the weather is gloomy so my mobile camera is bit off too. Love…

Review & Swatches Of Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick in Fuchsia File, Scarlet Surge, Ruby Rush, Red Letter & Blush Book Excited? Me too because this new range, Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick is the hottest talk of the town. Lakme re-invented Lakme 9 To 5 Lipsticks in Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick. Lakme has already done so in the past too, like Lakme 9 To 5 Quartet. That’s why you will notice the shade names are similar to the old range. So you can buy your favorite shade from the range but with a better formula, a formula that lasts upto 12 hours. Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick Lakme re-invents it’s 9 To 5 Lip Color giving it a long lasting formula infused with primer which preps lips for a smooth application and long lasting color. The Primer + Matte formula ensures flawless finish, intense color pay off, matte finish & 12 hour long stay. Price Rs. 480 for 3.6gm. Buy here. Packaging Lakme has not changed the packaging of Lakme 9 To 5 Lip Color range. The new range too comes in the same rose-gold packaging. The packaging is quite shiny & classy. The shade name is provided at the bottom of every lip color. The lipstick bullet has Lakme 9 to 5 logo printed over it. Some of the bullets are easy to twist up while some takes bit of pressure to pop out of the shell. Shade – Red Letter MR9 A warm toned beautiful & bright red shade from the range. It won’t disappoint any skin tone. Any skin complexion can carry it well, because of it’s warm undertones. Shade – Blush Book MR 19 It is baby pink shade. It is an everyday shade for college/office/casual outings. It has bot of cool undertones, hence one should apply it in moderation. Also it kind of accentuates dry lines if you have them on your lips. It might look patchy if not applied with care. Shade – Ruby Rush MR 20 I take Ruby shades are generally a mix of red & pink. This shade too is a nice mix of pinkish red. If I wipe of the color off my lips, I will see a pinkish tint behind. Very wearable when you want to flaunt your luscious put on that eventful night. Shade – Fuchsia File MR 21 A true Fuchsia shade in the range. A bright, bold & loud shade. It can brighten up a dull day in no time. It is a cool toned pink, hence make sure your skin tone agrees with the shade. Shade – Scarlet Surge MR 22 I have worn many scarlets on my lips. It is also going to be a memorable one. It is another nice red shade just bit deep. Scarlet Surge is just a bit darker than Red Letter giving a mysterious look to my face. It is another versatile shade in the range. I wish I could grab all of the 30 shades in the range, but then most of them are repetitive. It was really hard to point out a different between Scarlet Surge & red Letter, unless I really took a close look. I opted only for the bold shades and left out nudes or brown shades, since this year is a celebration of bold shades. Fragrance & Texture The lip colors in this range do not contain fragrance neither do they taste weird. This is always a plus point when it comes to lip products, at least for me. Texture of the old Lakme 9 To 5 Lip Color range was wonderful and so is of this re-invented range. It is creamy & moisturizing, giving a smooth finish & intense color. Pigmentation The range presents highly pigmented lip colors. One swipe gives nice color pay off, while another swipe will seal the intensity in the shade. You can still go on for more swipes but the formula won’t feel weird. The intensity is buildable. Longevity Lakme claims to give 12 hours color to the lips with this re-invented 9 To 5 range. I have worn the bold shades for entire days, but at least 2 touch ups are required in the span of 12 hours. Because I can not stay without meals or caffeine which means, object touching my lips & stealing the moisture along with bit of the color every single time. The color did not wipe off entirely or went patchy, but yes, after 4-5 hours, one touch up is necessary. Finish It is matte. It is moisturizing but matte. Some of the colors might accentuate bit of fine lines, so make sure to prepare your lips before hand to wear the matte lipsticks. Summarizing, Lakme 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color range is a fabulous range from the brand. It is intense in color, offers 30 shades & classy packaging, under 500 bucks & gives very long stay on lips. Worth every penny. ❤❤❤❤❤ Are you too eyeing upon this range? Or already picked your favorite shades? Leave your comments please, I treasure them…. Love.

Since everyone is so raving about these budget-friendly small little crayon lipsticks, I too hunted them down. I found the colors a little repetitive, hence I did not buy them all and rather bought few bold shades. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon is the newest range from Lakme, which made us, the bloggers, go smitten over these literally-crayon-looking lipsticks under 200 bucks. This range is suitable for college going girls who are always on the lookout for budget-friendly makeup products. Looking for Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Masabalips? Click here Today I am going to review & swatch Candid Coral from Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon range for you. I could have swatched & reviewed them all in one post, but I am a bit short on time & I won’t be able to enjoy it while doing it. Hence I chose the best shade (according to me) from the range. Coral Candid is one of the best coral lipstick for Indian skin tone which I have come across. It has many hues to it, hence it will delight you at many levels. I shall talk about this feature of the shade in detail later. Let’s start with the basics. About Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Lakme presents a range of crayon lipsticks to give you a smooth & matte finish over your lips in vibrant colors. The Lip Crayons are enriched with mineral powders, Olive Oil & Jojoba Oil to moisturize your lips simultaneously. The lip crayons come in 10 vibrant shades so that you can dazzle at every occasion. Price Rs. 185 for 2.2g. Buy at Amazon. Ingredients No ingredient list is provided. Packaging The lip crayon literally looks like a colored crayon that we used to use in our school time. I have used a lot of crayon lipsticks from different brands, but Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon literally depicts being a crayon in packaging. Lipstick range i.e.” Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon” and shade name “03 Candid Coral” is printed on the lip crayon along with some manufacturing information. The crayon has a black cap over its mouth. The packaging is kind of flimsy, according to me. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shades Lakme has followed the bold lip trend of the year 2017, hence presented 10 bold shades in the range. So pick one or all of them to suit your mood every single day. Baby Pink, Berry Red, Blushing Pink, Coral Candid, Cinnamon Brown, Mauve Magic, Peach Magnet, Pink Burst, Red Stop, Shocking Pink. Reviewed & Swatched: 7 Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shades Shade Description – Coral Candid This is my most favorite from the Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon range. As I mentioned earlier, the shade has many hues. That is the reason despite being coral it will suit every skin tone. The shade has Peach undertones & outburst of Orange, which makes it really exotic. One swipe brings a beautiful peachy coral shade on lips while 2 more swipes give a full-throttle orange. The peach undertones help the orange color to keep it’s calm & do not let it wash out your complexion which might happen with pure Orange shades. Fragrance & Texture The crayon lipstick has a very mild sweet scent, noticeable only if you want to smell it. There is no weird taste. Like SUGAR Lip Crayons has a powdery taste to them. The texture of the lip crayons is impressively creamy. The packaging is flimsy but the product inside is a high-quality lipstick. A bullet is full of color & moisture. I do not need to wear a lip balm beneath this matte lipstick since it is really good in moisturizing my lips on its own. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the lip crayon is good. The first swipe gives opaque finish even to pigmented lips but 2 swipes ensure the true color to show on the lips. When the lipstick is creamy, you anyway can go overboard to soak in some moisture into your lips. Finish Even though the texture is creamy & there is a bit of a shine on to the lips if you look closely, but the overall finish is complete matte. Not the uncomfortable kind of matte, but a beautiful, nourished matte. Longevity Creamy textures do have a tendency to transfer. Even SUGAR Lip Crayons which perform very good in terms of longevity does transfer in the first hour of application. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons would transfer to the coffee cup if you sip some coffee while wearing it. This lip crayon does not have the ability to survive meals in between, little bit snacking can be done. You need to retouch after having a full-fledged meal which is not of a big con to me as 185 bucks are justified with the quality of the product. Likes Beautiful & bold shades in the range. Creamy & moisturizing formula. Olive Oil & Jojoba Oil, present in the crayon, moisturize your lips. Does not accentuate fine lines. Beautiful matte finish. The shade Candid Coral is suitable for all skin tones. After sharpening, it can be used as a lip liner too. Ships with a dual sharpener. Easily available. Very affordable. So small to fit in the palm of your hand. Dislikes Need to sharpen the lip crayon after 2-3 uses. Few colors are repetitive. Summary If you do not mind retouch after having a meal, it is one of the best affordable lip color range from Lakme. The shades are bold & will flatter Indian skin tones (specially curated for Us 🙂 by Lakme). College going girls if you are bored of Elle 18, try these affordable & better performing lip crayons. The longest I have worn it for 3+ hours without retouch or having a meal.

Hello Girls, How you been? Friday is getting over and we are headed to the weekend. Just an awesome feeling.. no? Let’s hit the Friday eve with some color. I am going to review Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick for you. This budget friendly lipstick has been around from a while & has comparable performance to Maybelline ColorShow Matte range. It has almost the same formula & pigmentation as that of the colorshow range from Maybelline. Let’s get to know this beauty more closely. About Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick Say hello to creamy yet matte lipsticks from Lakme. The gorgeous shades are here to treat you with love. Lakme came up with matte colors that will suit Indian skin tones. The color is intense yet moisturizing on lips. Fluent the fabulous matte lips. Price Rs. 295 for 4.7gm. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients No ingredients mentioned. Packaging The lipstick comes packaged in a silver colored metallic card box with Lakme Enrish Matte Lipstick printed on one side. On the other side, Lakme states what is so special about this lipstick. Ingredients list is not provided anywhere. The lipstick bullet too comes in a silver colored body with transparent cap on the bullet. At the bottom of the lipstick shade number is printed. The shade does not have any name which makes it difficult to remember a particular lipstick just by it’s shade no. One weird thing about the packaging is that, it takes a lot of effort to screw-in & screw-out the lipstick out of it’s shell. I mean it’s not that easy like other lipsticks. You really need to put in some effort. May be it’s just this lipstick. Taste, Texture & Smell The texture of this lipstick is creamy smooth. There is bit sheen to the texture. When I apply the lipstick to my lips, the sheen can be noticed on my lips too. Glides easily on lips due to creamy texture. The lipstick does not dry out my lips. The lipstick has the very peculiar old cosmetic smell which we used to have in cheap lipsticks many many years back. I did not like this utterly sweet smell. The lipstick also tastes soapy until, it is wiped off your lips entirely. Shade – RM 13 This is a shade from the Red Color Family. It is a nice bright red, which will suit all skin tones, be it light, medium or dusky. This year 2017, is particularly a year of bold shades as opposed to the previous year where the nude shades rocked the fashion world. This shade is very desirable. The lipstick looks more of maroon, but the shade goes quite red on lips. If I blot and re apply the shade, I can achieve a rust shade out of this lippie. Pigmentation The pigmentation of this lipstick is very good. One swipe gives beautiful intense color while another swipe just perfects the look. The pigmentation is intense because it is a bright shade. Such shades are relatively more pigmentation than the light shades. Finish It is a matte lipstick but do not expect an entirely matte finish out of it. It has bit sheen to it. The sheen is visible on lips too after application. It’s just the creamy texture that hinders the exact matte finish. What I do is, I bot away the sheen with a napkin. That’s how I get the desired matte lips out of this moisturizing lipstick. My Most Favorite Matte Lipstick? – SUGAR Cosmetics Matte AS Hell Longevity This lipstick stays on lips. The sheen is lost after an hour or so, if I do not blot it by myself. The color stays intact for more than 4 -5 hours surviving meals in between. The tint would not go away even after 4-5 hours, until I wipe it off. I wipe it off after 4-5 hours, since, it starts to get little patchy which is not that pleasant to look at. I really admire the staying power of this lipstick. Summary : 4/5 Except the taste & smell, I think the lipstick is quite a grab for the price you pay. It’s moisturizing, pigmented & stays for long on lips. The shades offered by Lakme are very good too. It’s among the best budget buy, if you ask me. I am looking forward to buy the newly launched Argan Oil lipsticks from Lakme, just not able to decide on the shades. Any help? Love.

These days I have been wearing BB/CC Creams most of the times. I do not like to wear foundation that much now. And why one would wear a foundation when BB/CC creams are so amazing. These days I have been using Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream & Garnier BB Cream alternatively. Market is full of BB & CC creams. It’s just so hard to choose. Till now, I have tried BB/CC creams from Ponds, Garnier, Maybelline, Stila, Clinique, and maybe few more that I can not recall right now. So I can say, I have a real taste of many BB/CC creams out there. Some of them were good for oily skin/ some would suit dry skin better. Some provided coverage while others would give sheer glow. It’s a matter of choosing the one for you, the right one. I never hesitate from experimenting with stuff, I know that’s bad and can harm my skin, but I just can’t give up this habit of mine. I got to get my hands on if I see a new product launch. That’s one of the main reasons I started High On Gloss to blabber about my beauty purchases. Hope you don’t mind. Also Read Nykaa Skingenious BB Cream How To Make BB Cream At Home- DIY Just Out : {New} Maybelline Clearsmooth All in One BB Cream Fresh, Natural I have used the older version of Lakme CC Cream, but today I am going to write about the new CC Cream from Lakme which has been relaunched under the Lakme 9 to 5 range. Hope you enjoy the review. About Lakme 9 To 5 Complexion Care Cream- All In 1 Skin Stylist This complexion care cream instantly moisturizes, brightens skin while evening out skin tone and giving a fresh look to your face. This new version of CC Lakme cream is inspired from the trends at Lakme India Fashion Week. This is termed as skin stylist to give your skin the goodness of your daily skin along with the right amount of makeup to make you look fresh every day. The cream is All In One for your daily needs. It also contains SPF 30 PA++ to protect skin from Sun. Price Rs. 299 for 30g. Buy here. Ingredients Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream Shades The cream comes in only two shades- Beige & Bronze. Now that’s kind of a deal breaker. Since The two are really extreme shades & the beauties that whose skin color lie in between these shades, get really hard time getting a match. I got Beige, since Bronze makes my skin look orangish. I have wheatish skin tone. Packaging There is slight change in the packaging of the new CC cream from Lakme. Lakme has relaunched this CC cream under Lakme 9 to 5 range hence it calls for new packaging too. The cream is enclosed in a hot pink card box packaging on which every single detail about the CC cream has been mentioned. Inside you find an opaque rose gold tube with rose gold-silver cap at the opening. The opening of the tube is very narrow. So I can really control the amount of the product. I like the packaging of this relaunched cream better than its earlier avatar. Texture & Smell This is one of the driest CC cream that I have ever used. This is so thick in texture that I sometimes find it difficult to blend it out perfectly like other BB/CC creams. I liked how Stila/Ponds/Garnier BB cream blend. If I take some product, dot it over my face and try to blend, it takes a lot of effort and the finish is not even too. I mix my Clean n Clear Moisturizer to ease the blending. Mixing with moisturizer also gives a subtle glow. Lakme has not changed the smell of this cream. It is still the same- mild & flowery sweet. I like it. My Experience With Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream I have tried the older version of this cream & the newer version too. Lakme has came up with increased levels of SPF in this CC cream. Earlier this Cream had only SPF 20 but now it comes with SPF 30 PA++, which is a bonus. The raised level of SPF might be attributed to the thickness of this cream and the white cast that it gives. Yes there is a lot of white cast associated with this CC Cream. I never noticed this white cast in the Bronze shade, but the Beige one, surely has a lot of white cast to offer. I have wheatish skin tone, for which Beige is not a perfect match. This is a bit lighter than my actual skin tone. But, after few minutes when this CC cream is all set, I do not feel any weirdness in my skin tone. I like to see the matte glow that it gives me. Skin looks great for sure. It is not very good at moisturization part. Dry skin would need to layer on some heavy moisturizer before putting this CC Cream. Even I slather bit of my moisturizer on my oily skin before putting this up so that I can blend it well. Mixing this CC cream with light lotion works the best with this co The coverage that it offers is decent. It evens out my skin well and hides minor imperfections. Major things like big pimples or dark circles need a concealer. My oily skin stays matte for about 5-6 hours. The glow stays for long too. I am really impressed with this CC Cream. I can wear it every day (that’s what I have been doing these days). Sadly, it yields white cast though. Likes Suitable for oily to combination skin types. Gives matte finish & lasts for about 5-6 hours. Evens out skin tone hiding minor imperfections. Contains SPF 30 PA++. Affordable. No breakout to my oily & acne prone skin. Dislikes Does not provide enough moisture to skin. Sometimes, it’s tricky to blend because of its thick texture. Gives bit of white cast. Only 2 shades available. Summary : 3.5/5 Oily skinned beauties will definitely like it for it’s long lasting matte finish. Dry skin beauties can mix it with moisturizer to blend it beautifully giving a healthy glow to face. It evens out skin tone while hiding minor perfections. Creates a matte makeup base. Lakme should launch more shades for this CC cream. I shall be back with the reviews of more BB/ CC creams soon. In case you want to read more about BB & CC Creams, read this. Take care. Ciao.

Kajal gives a new spark to your eyes, especially if it’s colored one. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal are quite popular. I have used Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White & Black in the past. Today I am bringing two another colours for you, Royal Blue & Turquoise. Hope you will enjoy the post. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Waterproof No Smudge Dermatologically tested kohl Price Rs. 275 for 0.3g. Buy Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Royal Blue at discount. Buy Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Turquoise at discount. Packaging It comes in a retractable (twist-up) black pencil with blue accents. Easy to carry and apply. Texture The texture of the kajals is very creamy. There is no tugging while applying the kajals. The kajals glide on eye lids and water line very smoothly. I also notice some very fine shimmers in the kajals. Pigmentation The kajals are highly pigmented. One swipe pays off great colour. But if I have used my eye cream underneath, I need 2-3 strokes of the kajals to get the desired color, since my lids turn little oily. Shades Description Royal Blue This is as the shade name suggests is a Royal Blue shade. The colour is gorgeous. This shade will complement every eye colour. Turquoise It is another gorgeous shade from Lakme Eyeconic range. It instantly pops eyes out. Longevity Since the kajals are very pigmented, they stay put on eye lids until wiped of using a makeup remover. Just face wash can not take these kajals off completely. But on my deep set eyes, the kajals tend to smudge on my water line. The colour does not go away but it smudges underneath my eyes. Likes Smooth & creamy texture. Easy to carry & apply. Pigmented. Nice colour pay off. Achieve fun looks within few minutes. Gorgeous shades to choose from. Affordable. Easily available. Travel friendly packaging. Dislikes The kajals smudge on my water line after 2-3 hours. Summary : 4.5/5 Affordable, highly pigmented, gorgeous shades and convenient packaging. If you are into coloured kajals, grab few from Lakme Eyeconic Range. Also check out Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White Maybelline The Colossal Liner ADS Instant Dry Liquid Liner Take Care XOXO

Hello Girls. Hows your week going on? This is a wedding season. Beautiful ethnic attire and flawless makeup, a dream look to attend a wedding. Ethnic attire, I am assured, you will choose the best. Let’s talk about some makeup now. Foundation is an integral part of makeup routine. It covers all the spots/blemishes and uneven skin tone. Some might need sheer coverage just to even out skin tone while some other might need high coverage to hide acne/dark spots. I am going to talk about a high coverage foundation today. Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover SPF 25 is a high coverage foundation, that gives you flawless finish. Lakme claims about this foundation: Vitamin B3 & SPF 25 guards the skin against harmful rays leaving it visibly fairer. Water based. Long lasting. Price Originally priced at Rs. 700 for 15ml, The price has reduced a lot now. Availability Available offline. At very cheaper prices online. Buy from Amazon.in. How To Use Pump some foundation onto the palm of your hand. Apply tiny dots all over face and neck area and blend thoroughly. Shades Ivory Fair Rose Fair Golden Light Golden Medium Beige Honey Almond Honey I use Golden Medium Shade 03 for my fair-medium skin. The foundation has yellow undertones. Packaging It comes in a black opaque bottle with pump. The pump delivers just the right amount of the product. Texture & Smell It is a water based foundation but it’s quite thick and that’s how it delivers great coverage. I am not a fan of the chemically smell. It does not stay for long though. My Views Even though I am never satisfied with the Lakme foundations, I still got it because of the coverage it offers. It gives nice coverage and hides my acne scars and hyper pigmentation due to acne. It also covers bumps or pimples to great extent. It actually boosts my confidence to face the world when I am going through acne breakout. I am not a fan of the consistency of this foundation. Its very thick and I need to blend it quickly other wise it will dry up and I won’t be able to blend it. I generally use my fingers to blend this foundation so that the warmth of my fingers help it blend easily. Coming to the pigmentation/coverage, I am really like it. Since it’s thick it gives really nice coverage. The coverage I would call medium in absolute terms, but, I am fine with that coverage, I have hardly used a full coverage foundation, maybe one from MAC, the studio fix was full coverage. I generally apply one pump-one layer on my face, and that’s all I need. Putting another layer with this thick foundation, is little difficult for me. Longevity, is awesome. I have worn it many times for full day and it stayed there till the evening. It helps to keep my oily skin mattified for 5-6 hours. If there is oil showing up, I just blot and it does not transfers to the tissue. This foundation contains SPF 25, which is great if you go out in the sun wearing it. But it does not photograph well indoors and gives white cast, which I totally detest. Likes Water based formula. Gives great coverage. One pump is enough to cover all the scars/pigmentation. Stay for long. No transfers. No smudges. Never broke me out. Convenient to carry and use. Classy packaging. Many shades to choose from. Contains SPF 25 which makes it good for outdoor wear. Dislikes Gives white cast. Not good for indoor photographs. Formula dries off quickly hence you need to blend it quickly. Summary : 4/5 This foundation offers good coverage, longevity & the non-acne-genic formula. If you can tone down the white cast, it is a great wear. Check Out All about Foundations How to tone down White Cast of a foundation? Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Lakme 9 To 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation How did you like the review? Have you used this foundation? XOXO

I never really realised this until yesterday when I was reviewing Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Foundation, but it’s true. Most of my foundations are from Lakme, while I have never found my HG foundation in Lakme ever. That’s quite ironical I would say. One a side note, my very first foundation was from Lakme though, Lakme Perfecting Liquid, I still adore it. I am not saying that they are worthless, but I just feel they are more grey/white on me. The shade selection is quite a chore whenever I am looking into Lakme Foundations. Either they are too chalky, or too greyish, they never really go perfectly on my skin, like the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (I am going to get a lighter shade very soon). Lakme has done great job in formulating the weightless foundation. Before this I was impressed by Revlon Color Stay Whipped Cream, which was awesome in terms of feeling weightless and giving coverage considering the fact that Revlon had never impressed me with it’s color stay range though. It always broke me out. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is my current HG foundation, even though it’s little dark on my skin, but I would prefer to look a shade darker, than looking chalky or greyish. I am getting little curious about the new Lakme Absolute Illuminating Foundation. Let’s see how long can I hold back my temptation. Check Out My Foundation Brigade Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Foundation Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Have you found your HG foundation? Leave your comments. Love.

It’s been a while since I reviewed a foundation. I was about to review Lakme Absolute White Intense Cover, but It’s still lying un-published because, I am yet to click it’s pictures. When I got my hands on to test Lakme 9 to 5 weigthless foundation, I could not resist myself from writing about it after using it just a few times. Lakme 9 To 5 Weight Less Mousse Foundation Lakme 9 to 5 WEIGHTLESS Mousse Foundation is your answer to a workings women’s barrier to using foundation. It is a lightweight foundation meant for everyday use. It is so lightweight that you won’t even feel you are wearing foundation. Price Rs. 575 for 29 gm. Shades Available Rose Ivory [pinkish undertones for fair skin tone] Rose Honey [pinkish undertones for medium skin tone] Beige Vanilla [yellow undertones for wheatish skin tone] Beige Caramel [ yellow undertones for dusky skin tone] I got Rose Ivory. A very wrong shade for me. Beiges go very well on me though. How To Use Apply Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Foundation to clean, moisturized skin. Just take a small amount of product with the index finger and start applying it to the skin with your fingertips. Usually, you can just apply the mousse in four places: the forehead, nose, chin and cheekbones. Blend into your skin starting from the centre of the skin outwards, taking care to cover your face including your neck. Packaging It comes in an opaque peach coloured tube with silver screw on cap. Travel friendly. Texture & Smell The texture is way to smooth, as soon as you apply it on your skin it just vanishes away into the skin. The smell is mild and pleasant. My Views After Mineral foundation which feels so light, actually does not feel on skin at all. The claim of being weightless is so true. It feels like you are not wearing anything, yet it gives coverage. The coverage that it provides is medium yet you can build up the coverage to get desired results. The texture as I said earlier, is too fine and smooth that it glides effortlessly on skin. As soon as it touches my face, it just vanishes away. I feel like it’s evaporating. It is oil free, I mean totally oil free, I always moisturize well my skin (even though I have oily skin). If I don’t moisturize my skin before using this foundation, my face looks little flaky, which is not a good luck of course. The foundation stays put since it’s oil free, does not smudge or wears off soon. It stays for at least 5-6 hours. Other makeup also goes on easily since it create a very smooth base. I feel it’s loaded with silicons because it makes my face slippery. Like I am amazed by the texture it has. It actually does not feel like you are wearing something. Great for summers when you don’t feel like wearigng anything… errr.. I mean by makeup. Gives medium & buildable coverage. Nice shades to choose from. Does not break out skin. Affordable. Convenient & travel friendly packaging. Dislikes Its loaded with chemicals, my guess, it’s silicons, due to the slippery feeling it gives. Silicons might react badly with your skin. Summary : 4.5/5 One of a kind foundation which is feather like lightweight yet gives coverage. 4 shades to choose from. Gives a smooth base to put your blushes and bronzers on. What you think? Have you tried this yet? Leave your comments. Love.
