VLCC Glam Glo 10 in 1 Skin Perfector is a tinted moisturizer/BB cream that is highly suitable for Oily, Combination, and Normal skin types. It provides moisture, light coverage, and sun protection (SPF 30 PA++). The tinted cream provides a soft matte and a very natural finish. It also brightens and evens out skin tone. The cream is very affordable at 150 Rupees. I really recommend this tinted cream if you are looking for one.

These days I have been wearing BB/CC Creams most of the times. I do not like to wear foundation that much now. And why one would wear a foundation when BB/CC creams are so amazing. These days I have been using Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream & Garnier BB Cream alternatively. Market is full of BB & CC creams. It’s just so hard to choose. Till now, I have tried BB/CC creams from Ponds, Garnier, Maybelline, Stila, Clinique, and maybe few more that I can not recall right now. So I can say, I have a real taste of many BB/CC creams out there. Some of them were good for oily skin/ some would suit dry skin better. Some provided coverage while others would give sheer glow. It’s a matter of choosing the one for you, the right one. I never hesitate from experimenting with stuff, I know that’s bad and can harm my skin, but I just can’t give up this habit of mine. I got to get my hands on if I see a new product launch. That’s one of the main reasons I started High On Gloss to blabber about my beauty purchases. Hope you don’t mind. Also Read Nykaa Skingenious BB Cream How To Make BB Cream At Home- DIY Just Out : {New} Maybelline Clearsmooth All in One BB Cream Fresh, Natural I have used the older version of Lakme CC Cream, but today I am going to write about the new CC Cream from Lakme which has been relaunched under the Lakme 9 to 5 range. Hope you enjoy the review. About Lakme 9 To 5 Complexion Care Cream- All In 1 Skin Stylist This complexion care cream instantly moisturizes, brightens skin while evening out skin tone and giving a fresh look to your face. This new version of CC Lakme cream is inspired from the trends at Lakme India Fashion Week. This is termed as skin stylist to give your skin the goodness of your daily skin along with the right amount of makeup to make you look fresh every day. The cream is All In One for your daily needs. It also contains SPF 30 PA++ to protect skin from Sun. Price Rs. 299 for 30g. Buy here. Ingredients Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream Shades The cream comes in only two shades- Beige & Bronze. Now that’s kind of a deal breaker. Since The two are really extreme shades & the beauties that whose skin color lie in between these shades, get really hard time getting a match. I got Beige, since Bronze makes my skin look orangish. I have wheatish skin tone. Packaging There is slight change in the packaging of the new CC cream from Lakme. Lakme has relaunched this CC cream under Lakme 9 to 5 range hence it calls for new packaging too. The cream is enclosed in a hot pink card box packaging on which every single detail about the CC cream has been mentioned. Inside you find an opaque rose gold tube with rose gold-silver cap at the opening. The opening of the tube is very narrow. So I can really control the amount of the product. I like the packaging of this relaunched cream better than its earlier avatar. Texture & Smell This is one of the driest CC cream that I have ever used. This is so thick in texture that I sometimes find it difficult to blend it out perfectly like other BB/CC creams. I liked how Stila/Ponds/Garnier BB cream blend. If I take some product, dot it over my face and try to blend, it takes a lot of effort and the finish is not even too. I mix my Clean n Clear Moisturizer to ease the blending. Mixing with moisturizer also gives a subtle glow. Lakme has not changed the smell of this cream. It is still the same- mild & flowery sweet. I like it. My Experience With Lakme 9 To 5 CC Cream I have tried the older version of this cream & the newer version too. Lakme has came up with increased levels of SPF in this CC cream. Earlier this Cream had only SPF 20 but now it comes with SPF 30 PA++, which is a bonus. The raised level of SPF might be attributed to the thickness of this cream and the white cast that it gives. Yes there is a lot of white cast associated with this CC Cream. I never noticed this white cast in the Bronze shade, but the Beige one, surely has a lot of white cast to offer. I have wheatish skin tone, for which Beige is not a perfect match. This is a bit lighter than my actual skin tone. But, after few minutes when this CC cream is all set, I do not feel any weirdness in my skin tone. I like to see the matte glow that it gives me. Skin looks great for sure. It is not very good at moisturization part. Dry skin would need to layer on some heavy moisturizer before putting this CC Cream. Even I slather bit of my moisturizer on my oily skin before putting this up so that I can blend it well. Mixing this CC cream with light lotion works the best with this co The coverage that it offers is decent. It evens out my skin well and hides minor imperfections. Major things like big pimples or dark circles need a concealer. My oily skin stays matte for about 5-6 hours. The glow stays for long too. I am really impressed with this CC Cream. I can wear it every day (that’s what I have been doing these days). Sadly, it yields white cast though. Likes Suitable for oily to combination skin types. Gives matte finish & lasts for about 5-6 hours. Evens out skin tone hiding minor imperfections. Contains SPF 30 PA++. Affordable. No breakout to my oily & acne prone skin. Dislikes Does not provide enough moisture to skin. Sometimes, it’s tricky to blend because of its thick texture. Gives bit of white cast. Only 2 shades available. Summary : 3.5/5 Oily skinned beauties will definitely like it for it’s long lasting matte finish. Dry skin beauties can mix it with moisturizer to blend it beautifully giving a healthy glow to face. It evens out skin tone while hiding minor perfections. Creates a matte makeup base. Lakme should launch more shades for this CC cream. I shall be back with the reviews of more BB/ CC creams soon. In case you want to read more about BB & CC Creams, read this. Take care. Ciao.

Hello Girls, The time has come. Time for the post of the month where I show you what I managed to finish by the month end. I have been doing this since the starting of my blog. This really motivates me finish products that would otherwise stay at the back of my closet unused. When I can not use them as they are supposed to be used, I find out alternate ways. Let me show you what I managed to finish by today. There is nothing major, but just 4-5 products out of which some I won’t repurchase because I am either bored of using them, or I have found better alternates. Let’s talk in detail. I like to use colored mascaras. During a weak moment I grabbed 3 colored mascaras from MUA– blue, pink & green. The mascaras turned out very well & I have had my share of fun looks with them. I mostly used the pink shade, hence it is over while the other 2 are still going to serve my eyes with their intense color. I might not repurchase this again since I have used a lot of pink on my eyes lately. Next is a black liquid eyeliner from Maybelline, I do not use much liquid liners but somehow it got over pretty soon within a couple of applications. Glad it’s over, I found it quite boring & required time. While I am hooked to sketch liners more. Blue Heaven Mascara, is another product, which made it’s way to trash bin today. I admit I did not use it as mascara. I found it was a worthless mascara.Did not appeal to me. I used it to cover gray hair, during emergencies when I did not have time to colour my hair. Told ya, I manage to use stuff in any way if I really want them to. Next comes the old favorite Lacto Calamine which is a boon to Oily skin. It moisturizes while controlling oil. It is a permanent resident in my kitty. I do not use it everyday, but sometimes I feel like putting nothing , then I reach out for this lotion. It evens out my skin tone while giving a matte finish. Never breaks my skin but soothes it down since it contains Kaolin. My current favorite BB/CC cream is Lakme. I used Ponds BB cream for years, but these days loving Lakme CC Cream. Already stocked it. The CC Cream is not much on moisture level but has SPF 20. The newly launched CC cream from Lakme comes with SPF 30. It initially gives white cast but later settles down in subtle glow. Good option for everyday look. I also cannot live without Faceclin Gel, an acne ointment. Since I can break out any time of the month. Sometimes I feel lazy to put it on & I really regret the next day. If I put this on a new comer, the zit never makes it big. Finally a low profile face wash. It is a multi purpose product- Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. I use it as a cleanser, face mask & makeup remover. I don not use it much during summer but I still keep a backup in case I run out of my makeup remover. That was all about the empties post of this month. I hope to finish more product next month. This really helps me clean out my stash of the unwanted products & make place for new ones. See you soon. Love.
