Aloe Vera is a magic plant. It can heal almost every ailment. Aloe Vera is high in water content hence is used in most of the moisturizing lotions. Aloe Vera based products suit every skin type. Jovees Aloe Vera Moisturising Lotion is such a lotion that contains Aloe Vera as well as Apple, Peach & Sandal extracts. This is a very light moisturizer mainly targeting oily & sensitive skin. I have the same skin type hence it was an impulsive grab last month. Stay with me to get to know this product in detail. About Jovees Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion Jovees says that Oily skin needs extra care in terms of cleansing but it also needs special hydration. This moisturizing lotion by Jovees is specially formulated using essential herbal & botanical extracts to help to maintain the essential levels of moisture in oily & sensitive skin. Well-hydrated skin is always glowing & supple. This lotion helps the skin to balance it’s moisture levels by locking the skin’s own moisture level inside. Price Rs. 210 for 100ml. Buy here. Ingredients Only some active ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Apple, Peach & Sandal Extracts are mentioned. Other ingredients are missing from the packaging. Packaging The moisturizing lotion comes in an opaque white bottle with a pump fitted at the top. The packaging is convenient and leak-proof since there is a transparent plastic cap covering the pump. On the bottle, Aloe Vera slices are shown and it is mentioned that the product is especially for Oily & Sensitive Skin. Other information about the product such as the product specification, price, ingredients, etc. are is also mentioned at the back. Colour, Texture & Smell This is a very lightweight moisturizer having runny consistency. The lotion is white in color. It absorbs really fast without leaving any oily feeling behind. The lotion has a faint smell of Aloe Vera which does not last for long after application on the skin. My Experience I have been using it from last month and I think it is a decent moisturizing lotion for oily & sensitive skin. I have the same skin type plus it is acne-prone. I can easily get blocked pores in case I use a heavy cream/lotion. But this lotion is very lightweight & water-based. It has just the same consistency as that of the Clean & Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer if you have used the later. Since I have oily skin, I do not need heavy moisture when the winter is saying goodbye. My T-Zone has already started getting oily. The sticky feeling is very undesired & I detest it totally. But this lotion from Jovees gives only the required amount of hydration to my skin. I do not feel like I have applied anything on my skin once the lotion has been fully absorbed. My face feels & looks calm & hydrated. My skin feels little oily after 3-4 hours, but that’s normal for my skin type. Other than this I have not found anything amazing happening on account of this lotion. Likes Very lightweight water-based texture. It contains Aloe Vera, Apple, Peach & Sandal extracts. Suits Oily & Sensitive skin. It does not break out or clogs pores. Smells nice. Affordable. Lasts long. Convenient packaging. Dislikes The complete ingredient list is missing. Summary: 4/5 This is a decent moisturizing which gives the desired amount of hydration to oily skin & combination skin. The water-based texture makes it very desirable. This lotion is affordable & economical. Dry skin beauties need to look elsewhere until they want to use it only in humid conditions. It’s time to haul up deep moisturising body lotions. Today I am going to write about such a body lotion which is highly moisturising yet easy on pocket too. It’s Joy. Yes, it’s Joy’s Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion. Let’s jump straight to the review. Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion: Nourishes, Softens & Moisturizes Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion has a perfect balance of Almond Oil & Honey along with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera to offer deep nourishment and moisturisation to keep your skin soft, smooth, healthy and glowing naturally. Buy from Amazon.in My Experience: I discovered this body lotion during last year winters. From past one month I have started using it again. This body lotion contains almond oil & honey. These two ingredients are known for their moisturising properties. Almond oil & Honey also make skin soft and glowy. I have used Nivea Body Milk, which is meant for very dry skin. I have loved it to the core. With Joy’s body lotion I did not have that much expectations. I got it last year since it was available in a sample size. When I used Joy’s body lotion, I felt like, its nothing less than Nivea’ body lotion. It is highly moisturising. Texture is smooth & creamy. Smell is heavenly. Absorbs within seconds. Coming to the after effects, skin feels & stay moisturised for 3-4 hours. Then I re-apply if I feel my skin is getting very dry. Skin looks nourished. There are no dry lines/ stretchy feeling. Skin’s texture looks & feels smooth too. Skin glows. I like the fact that this body lotion is available in various sizes. It’s available in 100ml, 300ml & 500ml sizes. Likes: Highly moisturising. Dry skin goes away with first application. Contains goodness of Almond Oil, Honey & Wheatgerm. Makes skin smooth & glowy. Creamy & non sticky consistency. Absorbs fast. Affordable. Available in various sizes. Smells very nice. Easily Available. Contains sunscreen. Dislikes: Skin stays moisturised for 3-4 hours. Need to re-apply afterwords. Hi girls, I hope you have not ditched your sun protection yet. You must never give up using one, even if it’s winters. Soak up the sun during cold mornings or warm afternoons but never forget to put on a sunscreen. Use one even if it’s cloudy. Ozone layer (earth’s own protection layer) is damaged and harmful Ultra Violet rays can enter our atmosphere and damage our skin. These ultra violet rays can cause skin cancer with prolonged exposure. Jovees Sun Block is a wonderful sun block. Jovees is an old & trusted brand. I have used many products from Jovees before and most of them have fared well. Prior to getting this sun block I have used the Sandal Wood Sunscreen from Jovees which was another decent buy. Jovees Sun Block UVA/UVB SPF 45 with Anjeer & Carrot Jovees water based Sun Block developed scientifically using the modern production techniques that help to preserve the integrity of herbs thus ensuring formation of a thin layer over the skin which protects skin from the harmful effects of UAV & UVB rays. This sweat and water proof sun block with SPF 45 will also help improve skin texture & complexion while maintaining the moisture balance. Price: Rs. 265 for 100 grams. Packaging: Comes in a opaque tube. Travel friendly. How To Use: Apply evenly all over face and to the skin exposed to the sun. Leave on. Useful for all skin types. Active Ingredients: Ficus, Liquorice, Aloe Indica, Sandalwood, Daucus Carota & Wheatgerm. Texture, Colour & Smell: It is white non sticky yet creamy sun block with very sweet smell. Absorbs fast. Availability: Its available online as well as offline. Buy here at discounted price. My Experience: Sometimes I get really lucky & find a product which matches my expectations. I have oily & acne prone skin. Sunscreens/ Sun blocks make my face sweaty. But then, its important to use sun protection. I have used sunscreens from Lotus, La Roche-Posay & Jovees. Jovees sunscreens performed beautifully. Jovees Sun Block with SPF 45 contains Anjeer & Carrots. I don’t know what is the significance of having these two ingredients. Maybe the sweet smell is because of these two ingredients only. I like the non sticky consistency. It is water based sun block, the best thing about this product. It does not feel heavy at all. It absorbs fast. make my skin sweaty or oily. Great base for makeup too. It is water proof. It contains Liquorice too, which is a whitening ingredient. This ingredient controls production of melanin. Continuous usage of this sun block enhances my complexion. It does its job of sun protection very well. It helps to keep away the tan. Since I cannot measure the UVA/UVB rays effect, I can not comment on this part. But I hope it is effective in that part too. Likes: Contains high levels of SPF (45). Protect from UVA/UVB rays. Contains Liquorice which is a skin whitening ingredient. No tanning. No Sweating/ oiliness. Sweet smell. Lightweight. Water based Water Proof. Never broke me out. No allergies. Suitable for all skin types Dislike: Price?? Only active ingredients are listed. Final Words: Very effective in sun protection.
