The Long Kurti – Skirt trend does not seem to be dying soon. It’s on fire. You can shove away your pants deep in your closet and bring out those long flares, that you flaunt with short tops. This beautiful attire is classy and speaks of pure elegance. If you do not already know, this attire is originally from the Gadaria Tribe that you might be aware of. They still have not given up their originality but we seem to have adapted their beautiful style. Even though the style is same, we like to add our taste to the fabric. I did too. I am into bright colors. I love texture. I love self prints. Silk is my current favorite and brocade is definitely staying for long in our wardrobe. A combination of Silk & Brocade is what I chose to make my feel-so-special outfit. It’s not that I was wearing this style for the first time. Cotton based long kurti and skirts are normal for working woman as I see. But fabric makes a huge difference to your entire look. Summer calls for Cotton and such lightweight material for daily use. But we get ready to embrace heavy fabric when it comes to getting ready for family functions and gathering. Don’t we? But I feel this outfit has an authentic charm. It won’t suffocate you. It’s easy to wear. You can wear it and get ready under 5 minutes. Pink & Orange – Welcome The Bright Shades Pink & Orange are among the brightest colors. They belong to the same color family hence go very well with each other. Even though Summer is a pastel affair, I would not mind having few traditional colors in my wardrobe for my special outfit. The combination is too bright, so you can opt for adding a pastel dupptta to go with the outfit. The Pom Pom Lace I feel another charm of this dress is the pom pom lace at the bottom of the kurti. This is a custom made dress. But I felt the length of the kurti is not what I desired. My only rescue was to use a long trail lace. But I could not find something extremely unique. I decided to make it unique. I grabbed the simplest lace and few pairs of big, fluffy & charming pom poms. I glued the lace at the bottom of the kurti and later glued the pom-poms over the lace maintain an approximately equal distance among them. And viola. I loved the results. It really glam-ed up and dolled-up my basic kurti. I also wear this kurti with a churidar or pants, it always looks very charming because of this unique lace design. Try it yourself. It’s very easy. The Bell Sleeves I remember wearing bell sleeves/umbrella sleeves back in my college days when this fashion was on peak. The bell design has made a come back. This time it’s coming even louder. I opted for 3/4 long bell sleeves. And they add special charm to the look. I feel adding few pom-poms would define the sleeves in a better way. The long Brocade Skirt Let me be honest here and tell you that I do not like the fitting that I get out of the skirt. First it’s brocade which has a tendency to speak for itself. It never settles down. It’s always defending it’s cut & creases. Second reason behind it’s misbehave is the bad tailoring it got. But somehow the long kurti is able to hide it’s flaws. Anyway I love the beautiful zigzag pattern it has got. Accessories & Footwear Be it any attire, accessories are must. I chose a pink colored needed chunky neck piece to go with it. It’s new in my collection and I was eager to wear it. So just threw it on the go. Tribal jewelry looks really cool with ethnic clothes. I chose Jodhpuri ethnic flats to go with the outfit that I got during my last visit to Jaipur. Hair & Makeup Loose Braid was my answer to the heat wave that Delhi is currently experiencing. It gave quite an innocent look to the whole look. Below are the makeup products that I used: Lakme CC Cream in Beige Plum Natur Studio All Day Wear Kohl Kajal ADS The Balm Eye Shadow Palette ESQUIDO Eye Lashes in Peaches n Cream LA Girl Concealer in Creamy Beige HUDA beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Trophy Wife Thanks to the Gadaria Clan, we are wearing such trendy outfit in our daily life too. It’s easy to wear and looks graceful be it any occasion or purpose & age. I am sure you too are a fan of this style. And must have tons of such dresses for every occasion. If you have any suggestion for this look, please share. Much Love, Nisha ❤
