It hits the hardest when you find yourself helpless while your baby is struggling to breathe properly. Even a common cough and flu can leave your baby restless. I have been there. I can still feel the pain in his cries and in my heart. He was only 9 months old when he caught a cold for the very first time. He was restless since morning. It was hard for him to feed or to lie on his back. He got up many times from his bed and liked to get comforted only by me. He touched his nose several times. And finally got very irritated. I tried cooing him, and giving him his favorite toys. I played his favorite rhymes on my mobile. He did not care. He was not the usual happy baby that day.  He was crying his lungs out because that way he could breathe some oxygen. This was my first time with my sick baby. I was feeling very helpless, I rubbed some baby rub on his nose. He did not like its pungent effect on his nose. He started crying even more. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I could not wait any more and rushed to his doctor. His doctor sensed my worried tone and calmed me down. He prescribed Nasivion 0.01% Nasal Drops along with some other medicines. I came back home and firstly instilled 2 drops of the nasal drops into each of his nostrils. From the very next day I was able to see the difference in his behavior.
