Summer as well as Monsoon seasons, can be really tricky for skin.My skin needs moisture, but I do not want to slather the normal day creams, they just do not feel right. Gel creams are definitely something I look up to during summer & monsoon. Himalaya Herbals Oil Free Radiance Gel Cream is my today’s topic to discuss with you which is alcohol-free & parabene-free. It’s like the best herbal cream for oily & acne prone skin during summer. Himalaya Herbals is among such Indian brands, whose products speak. If you don’t already know, let me tell you, that I liked using Himalaya Herbals Natural Glow Day Cream during last winter, but that cream is not suitable for summer for my oily & acne prone skin as my skin does not need that much moisture now. Glad that Himalaya Herbals came up with the replacement of Natural Glow Day Cream for summer (according to me). Let me walk you through why I liked Himalaya Herbals Oil Free Radiance Gel Cream so much. Himalaya Herbals Oil Free Radiance Gel Cream Enriched with Barbary Fig & Winter Melon, smells heavenly & oil free gel based cream is an ideal day cream for oily & acne prone skin during summer. The cream is free of alcohol & parabenes. It hydrates skin while giving an oil free radiant glow to your skin. The light textured gel based cream absorbs quickly into your skin while giving 3 benefits: Oil Free Look Maintains Moisture Balance Non-Shiny Glow Barbary Fig: It contains poly-saccharides that are known to provide moisture, leaving your skin gently hydrated. Winter Melon: It exhibits anti-oxidant properties that keeps skin healthy, protected & rejuvenated. Price Rs. 250 for 50 gms. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging The gel cream comes filled in a glass tub with a plastic mint colored lid over. The outer packaging, i.e. the card box contains all the information about the product like the ingredients, price, benefits etc. Himalaya generally packs it’s products in tube which are more travel friendly. Tub packaging is not really appreciated for hygienic reasons. Also glass tubs are bit prone to accidental breakage(don’t get me started on my shaky hands). Fragrance & Texture The fragrance of this gel cream is enchanting, it’s aquatic & flowery at the same time. I love to smell it again and again. But once I have applied the cream over my face, it goes away quickly. Texture wise, it is gel cream. The lightest texture you can have. It’s feather like light on your skin. It absorbs quickly as water drops. It is smooth enough to glide on your skin effortlessly. My Experience I am on the second tub of this cream. It took me about 1 and half month to use up the first tub. I use it daily once a day after my morning shower. I apply rose water on my face as a toner (going the nature’s way). After 2-3 minutes I dot this cream on my face & massage it going in circular motions. It instantly sinks into my skin. There is no stickiness as I would rather feel with another gel products during summer. It feels like I have applied nothing. But there is increased level of suppleness and glow in my skin. The glow is not that oily thing but is rather a very faint glow, an oil free glow. It keeps my skin matte for 3-4 hours. After 3-4 hours my T-Zone starts to get oily. I splash water on my face & then I am good to go. I have worn this cream under BB Cream & a foundation. It acted as a primer because of it’s finish. The makeup went pretty smooth. I really am going to use it until the next winter shows up. During winter I would switch back to the Natural Glow Cream from Himalaya Herbals unless my wandering eyes find something more interesting to try out. Update: I am using The Ordinary Skin Care for acne prone skin , and I have never seen such clear skin. Summary Himalaya Herbals Oil Free Radiance Gel Cream, is a parabene free, alcohol free, oil-free, day cream for oily & acne prone skin at affordable price. It is widely available & proves to be economical in long term. If you are looking for a gel based day cream, please look no where else. It lacks SPF, but it’s not a con for me. ❤❤❤❤❤ Hope you liked the review. Have you used this day cream? Share this post if you find this useful. Nisha Malik ❤ Facebook | Instagram

Tanning is the main problem during summer season. It literally freaks us out. Every body has different skin type & tanning virtue varies with skin type & complexion. There are very effective tan removing masks that I am penning down, but meanwhile, I thought I should review Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Orange Face Wash, Orange Scrub & Orange Peel Off Mask. The trio pack claims to remove tan with regular use. I have been using it about a month now, & I think it’s time that I should review it for you guys. We all know Orange has tan removing capabilities due to it’s citrus-y nature. It is full of Vitamin C which fades away tan very easily. Hence Himalaya formulated a tan removal solution comprising of a face wash, a scrub & a peel off mask.. I got the face wash, scrub & peel off mask off the shelf individually & I have not located any such combo yet. But since they all seemed to belong to Orange range I picked them all. I am going to share my experience with this trio pack. Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Mask, Scrub, Peel Off Mask Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Orange Face Wash Himalaya claims that this Orange face wash cleanses & washes away tan very easily. The face wash is a blend of Orange Peel, Honey & Papain which visibly reduces tan & makes skin soft. The gentle exfoliating action of Papain removes dead skin & removes tan, Orange Peel improves skin tone while Honey moisturizes skin making it softer. Price Rs. 70 for 50 ml. A face wash is a daily need. Summer calls for refreshing face wash which takes away oil, dirt & grim leaving behind fresh & clean skin. When it smells Orange-y, it’s like icing on cake. I am really impressed by the ingredient list of this face wash which is mainly Orange Peel & Honey. Orange Peel really helps to fight tan. The face wash is orange in color, gel based & lathers very well. It has refreshing fragrance of Oranges. It takes away skin impurities in just one wash. One pea size amount is enough for one time wash. Since it is gel based face wash, it takes little more splashes of water to wash away thoroughly than the creamy cleansers. Afterwords, my skin feels, taut & clean. with a sleeper-y feeling (generally left behind by gel based face washes). Regular usage really helps to brighten skin tone. A scrub cannot be ignored in skin care. A scrub helps to keep skin clean of dead skin. Himalaya Herbals Orange Scrub contains Orange Peel & Oatmeal which is an exotic combination to exfoliate, smoothen & detan skin from the very first usage. Orange Peel helps to take away tan while Oatmeal nourishes skin, leaving it clearer & brighter with each use. This is a creamy scrub with hints of Orange fragrance & a lot of scrubbing grannuals. I quite like this scrub. The grannuals of this scrub are bit large & can be proved to be harsh if I am not being gentle while scrubbing. I gently massage my skin with this scrub, so that the grannuals do their job without hurting me. I sometimes like to leave the scrub on my face after scrubbing for a minute or two so that the good stuff inside the scrub, could do a better job. Washing away this scrub does not take much effort & the scrub does a wonderful job in taking away dead cell and bringing up a nice healthy glow on my face. Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Orange Peel Off Mask Price Rs. 70 for 50gm. Buy here. I have always been bit scared of using a peel off mask. I actually have had a bad experience in the past with Evertyouth peel off mask. That was way back in my college days. Since then Himalaya Herbals Orange Peel Off Mask is the first peel off mask, that I have bought. I bought this peel off mask, since it looked sensible to own the complete range. This peel off mask is also formulated with Orange Peel & Honey. Orange Peel is a natural skin lightening ingredient while Honey moisturizes skin. The peeling action takes away the tan. Makes sense? hmm, yes. Honestly, I asked my hubby to use this mask over his face first of all. No that was not mean. It is sensible. His skin is tougher than mine & his skin was badly tanned due to our recent holiday. This peel off mask was coming off easily after drying up. So I went ahead to test it on myself. The peel off mask is very runny, like the Orange face wash, & smells citrus-y, just have bit of stickiness in the texture for the obvious reason. I apply a moderate layer of this face mask so that it is easy to take it off after drying. It takes about 10 mintues to toally dry up. It feels bit stretchy once dry so that you know that it is time to take it off your face. I start pulling the mask up from my forehead and try to take it off in one go. It does not break off easily & does not hurt my skin. My face might have some bits of the masks, that I mostly wash away. I like the clear & bright face that it gives. My face doesn ot feel stretchy or dry. Rather it looks bright & glowy. Overall, I would say, that this is a nice range from Himalaya Herbals like it’s Neem range which works on every body. Himalaya did not disappoint me with the Orange Tan Removal range. The trio combo is nice to treat your tan when you do not have time to go for home made face packs & scrubs. You can use the face wash daily, the scrub every alternate day & the peel off mask at your own will, to keep the tan at bay. The combo is going to suit all skin types. Just do not forget using a moisturizer afterwards if you have dry skin type. So girls? Have you used this range form Himalaya? How did you like it? Hope this review might help some of you.

A weekly skin pampering routine is never complete without a scrub. Actually it is advised to use a scrub biweekly. There are some people who does not feel clean until they use a scrub (guilty). A scrub contains a mixture of small granuals and some cream/gel base to clean the dead skin off your face revealing a radiant and smooth skin beneath. A scrub should not be abrasive but should be good enough to do the job well. Scrubbing helps to keep the blackheads away also skin care products penetrate well after a scrub has been used. Himalaya Herbals has a range dedicated to Neem, such as face wash, foam wash and a face pack. Every product from this range is very popular with oily and acne prone skinned beauties. Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub does not require any introduction, I feel every girl (with oily skin) must have tried and loved this product. I thought let me share my views on this range too. I am starting with the scrub form Neem range of Himalaya Herbals. About Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub This scrub mainly contains Neem, Apricot & Turmeric. The basic ingredients are natural and have anti bacterial properties so that skin stays problem free. Neem & Turmeric has anti bacterial properties to kill the acne-causing bacteria on skin giving it a purifying effect. While Apricot gently exfoliates skin and revealing bright skin. The granuals are gentle and does not harm the skin. All you are left is your new skin, problem free, soft & clear. Ingredients Key – Ingredients are Neem, Apricot & Turmeric. Inactives– Methylparabene IP, Propylparabene IP, Phenoxyethanol IP. Price Rs. 130 for 100 gms, Rs. 70 for 50 gms. Buy here. Packaging Himalaya Herbals has its signature packaging of white tube with green tube and accents. This scrub also comes in the same white tube and green flip top cap. This type of packaging is good for skin care products since its hygienic and easy to carry around. Colour, Texture & Smell It is light green cream based scrub with red, green & blue fine granuals. The granuals of this scrub are very mild but effective. The scrub has a mild and sweet smell. My Skin Type Oily, acne prone & sensitive. My Experience I do not remember when I first tried this scrub, but I remember using it on and off always. I stop using it when I get bored of using it. Himalaya’s Neem range is really effective and popular among acne prone skinned girls. The face wash is considered to be the very first product to be used when you suffer from teen acne. I suffer from hormonal breakouts, so the neem range can not really do much about it. But the scrub is really effective in keeping my skin free of dead skin and gives me effective exfoliation without hurting my skin. The scrub has very small granuals still I experience a good scrubbing effect. All I am left is soft, smooth & bright skin. It never irritates my skin nor does it aggravates existing acne. I would not recommend it for every day scrubbing job though. I suffer from bleak heads on my nose, but they never fully disappear even after using this scrub. The scrub is affordable and economical too. My SIL has dry skin and she loves it too. I feel this suits every skin type. Likes Natural & herbal composition. Contains the goodness of Neem & Turmeric. Has anti bacterial properties. The scrubbing granuals are mild yet effective. Leaves skin soft, smooth & bright. Does not cause or aggravate acne. Affordable & easily available. Travel friendly packaging. Suitable for all skin types. Dislikes Not much effective on my black heads. Contains Parabenes. Summary : ❤❤❤❤❤ A very popular, affordable and effective scrub with the goodness of Neem & Turmeric. It clarifies and purifies skin at the same time. I think this scrub replace any high end brand scrub. It does its job perfectly at a very economical price. A must have for oily & acne prone skinned girls. Colour, Texture & Smell Even though the lotion is Cocoa Butter based, but it is not sticky or oily. Once absorbed, there are oily finger stains on my laptop keyboard, only smooth, moisturised and sweet smelling skin. The colour of this lotion is something between off white and white. My Experience No matter how many body lotions I own, I still grab another if I like the packaging and the ingredients. I have something for Cocoa smell. This was another reason I picked this body lotion last year and loved using it. This year too, it made it’s way to my bathroom shelve. The lotion contains really impressive ingredients. Cocoa Butter is known for it’s repairing and moisturising properties. Wheat Germ Oil is another wonderful ingredient which contains Vitamin E providing excellent anti-ageing properties t skin. My skin becomes really dry during winter and cries for heavy duty moisturization. Himalaya’s Cocoa butter body lotion really helps reviving my skin. It definitely is an affordable and effective body lotion. It gets easily absorbed, and is nothing like a heavy oil based body lotion. There is no oily or greasiness afterwords. The lotion is little thick but surprisingly gets absorbed really fast into the skin. It leaves skin moisturised and calm. Moisturised skin looks healthy and glowy. My skin stays moisturised for long hours. I do not need to re apply it until later in the evening. There is no stretchy feeling or dry lines. It does what it promises to do. Likes Contains Cocoa Butter & Wheat Germ Oil. Even though it contains heavy ingredients, it gets absorbed into skin very easily. Skin feels smooth and soft. Skin stays moisturised for long hours. Hypo allergic. Dermatologically tested. Affordable & easily available. Dislikes Since the lotion is little thick it gets little tedious to take out the lotion out of the narrow nozzle sometimes. Also it tends to get deposited within the nozzle and needs to be cleaned every now and then. Summary : 4.75/5 It is a definitely a great body lotion during winter season for all skin types to stay moisturised all day long. It contains the goodness of Cocoa Butter & Wheatgerm Oil. Does not contain harmful chemicals. Also it is very affordable and easily available. Also Check Out Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Non Greasy Body Lotion Joy Cocoa Rich Intense Nourishing Body Lotion Lotus Herbals WHITEGLOW Skin Whitening And Brightening Hand And Body Lotion SPF 25 Joy Honey & Almonds Nourishing Body Lotion Nivea Nourishing Lotion Body Milk Vaseline total Moisture Cocoa Glow Nourishing Lotion XOXO

Himalaya Herbals is a very affordable and trusted brand. It is a house hold name. It has vast product variety. The products offered are herbal. Be it face, body or hair, for every skin/hair type/condition, Himalaya has great products to offer. Today I am going to review a moisturising face wash, Aloe Vera Face Wash. If you think, you can use little harsh cleanser during winter and follow up with a heavy duty, it’s your call, but I feel, tempering with skin’s natural moisture only hurts it further. Harsh cleansers can deter the pH level of skin calling for trouble. Skin looks dull and rough if it is ripped off it’s natural moisture. Hence I believe in using a moisturising and gentle cleanser during dry days. About Himalaya Herbals Moisturising Aloe Vera Face Wash A soap-free, herbal formulation enriched with natural Vitamin-E that gently cleanses and moisturiser. Unlike soap, your face will not dry and stretched. Cucumber cools and soothes, and Aloe vera tones and softens your skin. Use regularly for clean, freah and glowing soft skin. Price Rs. 60 for 50ml. Rs. 110 for 100ml. Buy 100ml at discounted price here. How To Use Moisten face and neck; apply a small amount of Moisturising Aloe Vera Face Wash and gently work up lather using circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice daily. Follow with Himalaya Nourishing Face Moisturizing Lotion. Use Himalaya refreshing Fruit Pack once a week to refresh and rejuvenate the skin. Ingredients AQUA, AMMOINUN LAURYL SULPHATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, STEARIC ACID, GLYCERIN, SODIUM LAUROYL SARCOSINATE, GLYCOL STEARATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE & PEG-100 STEARATE, CUCUMIS SATIVUS FRUIT EXTRACT, CETYL ALCOHOL, FRAGRANCE, XANTHAN GUM, PHENOXYETHANOL, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, COCO-GLUCOSIDE & GLYCERYL OLEATE, METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE & METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, METHANOL, TOCOPHEROL, DISODIUM EDTA. Packaging It comes in Himalaya signature packaging, i.e. transparent tube with green accents and flip top to disperse the product. This tube packaging is very preferable with cosmetics so that I do not have to dip your fingers into the product or grab a spoon to take it out. the packaging is quite travel friendly since 50ml size is small enough to fit into your handbag or vanity case. Colour, Texture & Smell The face wash is light green coloured to resemble it’s composition of Aloe vera & Cucumbers. The texture of the face wash is creamy and smooth. It smells quite refreshing but little artificial. My Experience I used this face wash during last winter. Also got it this year. Even my SILs use it. The face wash is definitely a must have for winter/dry days. Winter can take out moisture even from an oily skin, while dry skin is already devoid of natural moisture. Hence, winters call for a creamy/moisturising face wash so that the moisture level of your skin is maintained and it stays soft and smooth. Himalaya Aloe Vera Moisturising Face Wash, has a creamy consistency, but it does not mean that you will be left oily, shiny after washing your face. It certainly works as a face wash without stealing off skin’s natural moisture. It is gentle on skin. I quite like the experience of washing my face with this one. It does not deposit any cream/oil on your face. It does it’s job of cleaning the skin very well. It takes away dirt, oil, impurities and light makeup with it. It doesn ot lather much, because of it’s consistency, so it is massaged onto the skin. That way it dissolves all the impurities of the skin leaving it queaky clean. Also there is no soapy/slippery film after washing the face. Skin does not feel stretchy or dry. It does not rip off skin’s natural moisture, but a moisturiser can not be skipped even for my oily skin. A very little product is needed for every application, hence it is quite economical. The only problem with tube packaging is the fact that, it gets very difficult to take the product out once it is about to finish. I start rolling the tube starting from the end of the tube to the opening, and that’s how I disperse the product in it’s last days. Likes Herbal face wash, containing the goodness of Aloe vera and Cucumber, highly moisturising in nature. Contains Vitamin E. Cleans skin very well. Creamy texture. Skin feels fresh and soft. Formulated specially for dry skin, but suits all skin types. Smells nice. Does not dry out skin. Affordable and easily available Dislikes None Summary : 5/5 Non drying, effective in cleansing and affordable face wash for dry skin types. Works great even for oily skin during winter.

Most of the day creams break me out because they tend to contain some amount of Sun Protection Factor (SPF). I can use a sunscreen alone, it won’t break me out, but creams/makeup that contain SPF, certainly break me out. Most of the day creams give me under skin bumps and clogged pores which later result into acne. I have been testing Himalaya Natural Glow Fairness Cream from more than a month now. I got it last while i was shopping for some regular items. It was available in 25g packaging, perfect for sampling. About Himalaya Natural Glow Fairness Cream with PHYTO-VITAMIN Complex An advanced skin lightening formula enriched with a Phyto-Vitamin Complex, containing a combination of Alfalfa, Safforn & other essential vitamins. Alfalfa regulates melanin synthesis; Saffron helps lighten skin tone and brightens a dull complexion. In combination these ingredients provide your skin with an even tone, nourishment and glow, naturally. 5 Visible Results Lightens & evens skin tone Helps reduce blemishes and dark spots Helps reduce under eye dark circles Nourishes skin to keep it healthy Moisturizes without leaving skin greasy. Price Rs. 45 for 25g. Rs. 80 for 50 g, Buy here at discount. Ingredients Packaging Comes in Himalaya’s signature white and light pink tube with green cap. Travel friendly and hygienic packaging. Texture, Colour & Smell It is a smooth textured & light pink coloured cream, easily absorbs leaving matte finish behind. The smell is nice but quite artificial. I have used some product which used to smell like this, I just can’t recall it. The smell lingers on your skin for few minutes after application. My Views If I talk about the day time moisturisers/cream I use, I would say, I generally go for Clean n Clear Oil Free Moisturiser, sometimes, it is Za true white day cream or Za perfect solution youth whitening serum. Sometimes even Lacto Calamine gets lucky. The very basic reason I picked Himalaya Natural Glow Fairness Cream, is the fact that it does not contain any SPF, at least is not mentioned anywhere. My skin hardly gets away with a day cream containing SPF. Some might argue that a day cream must contain SPF, but a day cream containing SPF might clog oily skin, which generally happens with me. The texture of the cream is fine & smooth, there is no issue while applying it. It gets easily absorbed, as soon as you apply it. Not much rubbing is required. It gives absolute matte finish. Skin is instantly brightened. It does not give any white cast, but there is certainly some pinkish cast/hue on skin, which looks good since it looks natural. Ponds White Beauty Day Cream too gives pinkish glow, but that looks more like white cast. It contains Alfalfa & Saffron, which are natural ways to brighten skin. I have been using it from about a month, mostly twice a day. It claims to lighten skin tone, which didn’t stand true for my skin tone. My skin tone is same as was before using this cream. I do not expect any skin cream to lighten skin tone until it contains harsh chemicals/bleaching agents. There is little amount of brightening. Skin looks even toned. But I have not seen much improvement in my dark spots/acne spots. They seem to intensify on application of this cream, weird .. huh?. So I can say, it works as a skin brightening cream rather than a skin lightening cream. It moisturises skin, but gives matte finish, oily skin would love the feel while dry skin beauties might need to add another layer of moisture. My skin stays matte for 3-4 hours during current dry days. After that my face has little oily sheen. Sometimes, my skin looks red or irritated, may be because it contains natural stuff which might be reacting with my sensitive skin. It’s nothing major just hints of redness on my cheeks. Likes Nice texture. Gets easily absorbed. Gives matte finish. Contains goodness of Saffron and Alfalfa. Control oil for 3+ hours. Gives pinkish and natural glow rather than white cast. Brightens face instantly. No breakouts or clogged pores. Suitable for oily & combination skin. Travel friendly and hygienic packaging. Affordable & easily available. Long term usage brightening skin naturally. Free of parabenes. Dislikes I sometimes find that after wearing it for 2-3 hours, my skin is little red/irritated. It happens seldom. For some, lack of SPF might be a con. I think the smell is strong for my liking, though it does smell nice. Summary : 3.5/5 It is parabene free, very affordable, simple day cream for oily skin with the goodness of Saffron and Alfalfa. Gives nice brightening effect and keeps skin fresh for 3-4 hours. UPDATE: It’s full throttle summer now, & I do not like to use this cream over my face since it feels little heavy. It makes my skin feels sweaty. Normal- Dry skinned people would love this cream during summer. Also my skin has got habitual to this cream now, hence my skin does not get irritated now.
