Today I will be reviewing the Royal jelly and Lavender conditioner from the new Garnier Ultra Blends range. This new haircare range of Garnier is actually the counterpart of the Whole Blends range they have launched for the US and other countries. The Whole Blend range is quite raved about in the beauty world so I was super excited to try the Ultra Blends products. When they first came into the market I got this Royal Jelly and Lavender conditioner along with the oil-in-cream from the same range which I have already reviewed here on High On Gloss. This conditioner is said to reduce hair fall due to breakage. As I am growing out my hair, I am trying to reduce split ends and breakages. That is why I opted for this particular conditioner. Please bear with me to find how it worked. About Revive your hair with blends of natural extracts. Our Philosophy: Nature is the most potent laboratory in the world. Our formulas contain precious natural ingredients finely selected for their known efficacy on hair. Our solution for breaking hair, prone to fall: Our formula is blended with Lavender Essence and Royal Jelly, rich in amino acids, vitamins and lipids. Hair is strong and resists fall. Price Rs.75 for 75 ml. Ingredients WATER, CETYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERINE, AMODIMETHICONE, ALCOHOL, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, STEARYL ALCOHOL, BEHENTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, TRIDECETH-6, CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE, HONEY, LINALOOL, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, PROPOLIS EXTRACT, DIPALMITOYLETHYL HYDROXYETHYLMONIUM METHOSULFATE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, FRAGRANCE, MYRISTYL ALCOHOL, GERANIOL, CETYL ESTERS, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, CETRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, BHT, CITRIC ACID, CITRONELLOL, COUMARIN, LAVENDER OIL, ROYALJELLY, PHYLLANTHUS EMBLICA FRUIT EXTRACT. (C187611/11). Packaging This conditioner comes in an ochre yellow plastic bottle with cute label graphics depicting fresh lavender sticks and a honey jar. It has a brownish ochre-coloured flip-top cap. There is embossing of leaf shape at the opening. The packaging is quite similar to the shampoo from the same range by Garnier. The packaging is simple yet elegant, sturdy as well as travel-friendly. Colour, Texture & Smell The conditioner is opaque and white in colour. The consistency of this conditioner is thick and creamy. The thickness is similar to other Garnier shampoos but consistency-wise it is creamier. It smells like fresh lavender. The fragrance is very soothing and calming. The smell is slightly stronger when I pour it onto my palm but not at all overpowering when I apply it. It gives me a spa-like relaxing experience and prevents my scalp from smelling foul due to excessive sweating. My Views Immediately after shampooing I squeeze out the excess water from my hair and apply this conditioner on the ends of my hair. I keep it on my hair for about 3-4 minutes and then wash it off. Less is more for this product. Only a dollop of the product is needed for my medium-to-long length hair! The performance of this conditioner is really impressive. My hair looked smoother, shinier and healthier from the first application itself. It has been able to tame my unruly freezes without weighing my hair down. Combing my hair has now become a lot easier. The conditioner is very pocket-friendly. 1 ml of product costs only Re.1. This conditioner contains some of the widely appreciated herbal ingredients like honey, lavender oil, royal jelly and amla extract. Honey is a great nourishment agent for hair, it softens hair. Lavender oil increases blood circulation which enhances hair growth. Royal jelly is rich in biotin which plays a major role in making hair strong from the roots and improving hair texture. Amla controls hair fall and helps to prevent premature greying of hair. Although the product has many herbal constituents it is not entirely free from chemicals like alcohols. This is the only con I could find in this conditioner. Likes Smells awesome. Tames frizz. Free from harmful parabens. Does not make my hair limp. Pocket-friendly. The ingredient list includes some wonderful constituents like honey, royal jelly, lavender oil etc. Dislikes Contains silicones Summary: 4.75/5 I love love love this conditioner. It has amazing soothing fragrance, perfect consistency and fits in my budget too. Its effectiveness has exceeded my expectations. It nourishes my dry hair without making it limp. It reduced hair fall due to breakage to a good extent. My hair looks shinier, healthier after using this conditioner. If you are someone with dry frizzy hair like me and searching for a good budget-friendly soothing and nourishing conditioner; try this one. Have you used this conditioner?

Guest Review by Sreeparna Ganguly Hello people! Today’s review will be about 5 Precious Herbs oil-in-cream from the newly launched the new Garnier Ultra Blends range. Ever since the oil-in-creams hit the market I have become a loyal customer. As I have very frizzy hair, sometimes extra nourishment becomes very important. Depending on my mood, I use hair serum or oil-in-cream. Both the products give good results on my hair. I have been using Garnier Fructis oil-in-cream for very long. I bought this new paraben-free variant 2-3 months ago and have been using regularly since then. Please bear with me to find how it worked on my hair. About Garnier Ultra Blends Oil-in-Cream With 5 Precious Herbs REVIVE YOUR HAIR WITH BLENDS OF NATURAL EXTRACTS REVITALIZING OIL-IN-CREAM. Ultra Blend is a complete haircare range with precious natural ingredients, finely selected for their known efficacy on hair and blended in parabene-free formulas. BREAKTHROUGH INNOVATION: Get the nourishment of hair oils, not the stickiness. This unique Oil-in-cream melts away without leaving sticky residue and does not weigh down your hair down. It is enriched with 5 precious herbs- Green tea, Eucalptus, Aloe, Lemon & Henna. Discover hair that is nourished, healthier & more beautiful thus revitalised. How To Use Use exactly as a hair oil: before wash, after wash or overnight. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately. Price Rs.70 for 100 gm Ingredients WATER, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, MINERAL OIL, GLYCERIN, FRAGRANCE, CETYL DIMETHICONE, BEHENTRIMONIUM, CHLORIDE, CETRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM BENZOATE, CITRIC ACID, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, HEXYL CINNAMAL, LIMNENE, CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE, LINALOOL, CITRONELLOL, COCONUT OIL, LEMON FRUIT EXTRACT, MALTODEXTRIN, GERANOIL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, PEG-45M, CITRAL, ALOE BARBADENSS LEAF, JUICE POWDER, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CASSIA ITALICA LEAF EXTRACT, CI 19140, EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS LEAF EXTRACT, CI 42090, BHT. Packaging This oil-in-cream comes in a light green coloured tube with a beautiful label graphics showing the 5 precious herbs it contains. It has a golden coloured flip-top cap which shuts with a sharp click. Overall I find the packaging to be simple, fuss-free and spillage-proof. Colour, Texture & Smell This oil-in-cream is white in colour and has a citrus-y fragrance to it. The smell is on the lemony side but not tangy. Its consistency is quite creamy and thick. It is thicker and creamier than the Garnier’s Triple Nutrition variant. Suitability If you have dry hair or combination hair like me, check this out. You will not be disappointed. If you have extremely oily hair, giving it a skip will be a good decision. My Views I use it as a leave-in conditioner when I skip the conditioner after shampoo. Sometimes I use it after conditioning also. It enhances the effectiveness of my conditioner. I take two pea size amounts in my hand and rub between my palms to spread it. Then I apply it only on the ends of my wet hair. Finally, I comb my hair with a wide toothed comb when my hair is almost dried. I have not used it as a pre-shampoo product so I cannot tell how it will substitute hair oils. Garnier has nailed it with the formula for their new range. I have used two other products from the same range and am quite happy with the result. This oil-in-cream is also not an exception. It makes my hair less tangle-prone (if that makes any sense at all!), manages freezes and gives my hair a sheer lustre that stays for 2-3 days. This oil-in-cream is very pocket-friendly too. Considering the quantity and quality it’s a steal deal for me. The most important advantage of this oil-in-cream is that it contains sodium benzoate (a food grade preservative used mainly in tinned fruits and jams) as a preservative, not any kind of paraben. Plus this product is also loaded with the goodness of herbal ingredients that we often use in our hair DIYs. It contains aloe vera leaf juice powder, extract of green tea leaf, eucalyptus leaf extract, lemon fruit extract, coconut oil and henna leaf extract. Citronellol is used as a flavouring agent which is found in citronella oils and rose oil. Likes Makes hair soft to touch. Tames frizzy hair. Pocket-friendly. Ingredients include extracts of henna, lemon, eucalyptus etc. Cleanses the scalp and removes product build-ups Dislikes It contains silicones and alcohols Summary: 4.5/5 Overall, I like this oil-in-cream a lot. It nourishes my dry hair and somehow gives a definition to my curls. It adds shine without limping out my hair. In my opinion, this budget oil-in-cream can easily compete with other pricier leave-in products available in Indian market. Have you used this oil-in-cream? Do you like oil-in-creams or leave-in conditioners? Share in the comments below. You are welcome to share your thoughts too. XOXO

Hello Girls. How are you surviving another Monday? I never liked Mondays, until now. Now, Mondays fill me with a sense of responsibility. I am most productive on Mondays. it’s a day when I feel the most energetic. I feel motivated & full of enthusiasm. I think it’s all about the prospective. So, today I thought let’s introduce you to three fat ladies of my hair care regimen. To give you a brief of my hair type, I have medium length wavy hair with really dry ends. Not everything can work on these dry ends. It is really hard to moisturise them. I have stumbled upon few conditioners and masks, also some DIYs, like the banana recipe, which are able to give decent moisture to my hair. I will be writing about all those products/DIYs one by one. Here is a glimpse of Organix hair products I am currently using. Organix has a vast range of shampoo, conditioner, masks & serums. Organix has tried to cover all type of hair with every kind of need. I have tried many variants from Organix since it has been launched in India, and it has always given decent results. The Brazilian Keratin Therapy combo of shampoo & conditioner, is a very recent addition to my hair care regimen. I actually didn’t buy this myself. My sister got this for herself. But since she has quite fine hair, this combo didn’t suit her. She handed this combo to me to try on my hair, which are quite different from hers. This combo worked beautifully on my hair. Detailed review soon. The Moroccan Argan Cream shampoo is my all time & the most favourite, shampoo from Organix. It is so creamy & moisturizing that I don’t even feel to use a conditioner afterwards. I think that gives you an idea of how wonderful this shampoo is. Apart from these fatty ladies, I have another wonderful shampoo which needs a special mention. But I think, since its so special, I will do a post on it soon. Till then Stay High, Stay Fab.
