The cap locks with a sharp click and prevents the product inside from spilling. The bottle has a cardboard outer pack which again is colour coded in similar manner. The outer box contains claims, shelf life, elaborate usage instructions etc. The instructions are presented in both written and pictorial format for everyone’s convenience. Overall I find the packaging to be very travel-friendly, leakage-proof and sturdy. Colour, Texture & Smell The serum is basically a colourless and runny liquid. Though it is oil, its consistency is light and non-greasy. It has a very faint floral fragrance. The base note of the scent is similar to other products of the same range. The smell is very short-staying and it goes off within few minutes of application. My Views This hair serum can be applied in two ways; on damp hair and on completely dry hair. I like the first way more so, I apply it after my shampoo-conditioner routine on the day I wash my hair. It is very crucial to decide the correct amount for your hair otherwise the hair may feel limp (if used in excess) or unruly (if used less). When the hair dries completely there are noticeable shine on my hair. Due to the wavy texture, I tend to get tangles very easily. With this on my hair; the tangles are a bit easy to remove. That means less breakage. What I like most about this product is that, the dry and rough ends of my hair look healthier than they actually are if I am using this. But ‘the split ends getting united’ claim is not true. This serum has been able to control my unmanageable frizzy hair to certain extent which is a huge pro for me. I got a sample of Wella EIMI Perfect Me Lightweight Beauty Balm Lotion in my January Fab Bag. I have not used much products from Wella, and was also amazed to see that there is a BB Lotion for hair also. I did not know what to expect from it, flipped it to read what it is and how to use it. All the instructions were provided on the packaging. In order to test it, I used the sample when I next washed my hair. Read on to know how was my experience with this BB Lotion. About Wella EIMI Perfect Me Lightweight Beauty Balm Lotion Create natural style with smoothness with this delicate lotion that adds shine, repairs, moisturizes, tames fly-aways and protects from the heat of styling tools. Lightweight beauty balm lotion. Hold level 1. Wella claims that this is all in one product to meant all the needs of your hair for shine, moisture, frizz control & heat protection. Hence the name Beauty Balm for hair while being lightweight in consistency. Does not turn hair oily or heavy but gives only lustrous hair that you always dreamed of. Price Rs. 150 for 6ml sachet. Rs. 900 for 3.38Oz / 100ml. Ingredients Aqua, Isohexadencane, Isopropyl Palmite, Dimethethicone, Polyacrylamide, Stearyl Alcohol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Steareth-24, Panthenol, Parfum, PEG-23M, Steareth-2, Laureth-7, Disodium EDTA, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Silica, Citric Acid, Coumain, Limonene, BHT. How To Use Wella says this product is to pamper, perfect & protect your hair. It is supposed to be used as you would use any hair serum. Take some amount in the palm of your hand, rub your palms together and apply starting from the mid length of your damp hair till the ends. Style as you want. Packaging I got a sample of this product which comes in a dark grey coloured plastic sachet with a cut at the top to tear it open. The full size product comes in a grey coloured opaque bottle with a pump fitted at the top. All the information regarding the product, about, ingredients, how to use etc is provided on the packaging. Colour, Texture & Smell This is a smooth white coloured lotion which coats a layer on hair without making them sticky or oily. The lotion gets absorbed into the hair beautifully. The smell is mild and pleasant lingers for few minutes after application. My Experience I have been quite happy with Streax hair serum but once in a while I try other products too. Since this sample of BB lotion was lying from a long time with me, I thought I should put try this too. To give you an overview of my hair, I have normal scalp but very dry hair ends, so of course there is a significant amount of frizz in my hair after every wash. My HG conditioner helps taming the frizz, but I still need something more for that perfect finish. I am always on look out for leave-in serums. Coming to Wella BB Lotion, I liked the texture which is very fine, smooth and lightweight. It’s no oil, it’s literally a runny lotion. I was actually bit confused upon opening the sachet if it was really meant for hair because it was white, I thought it would stain my hair. But nothing sort of that happened. It perfectly sinked into my hair shafts leaving them smooth. My hair detangled really well, while I was afraid, I would have to put another serum to rescue. I did not find much difference in the shine department initially, but when I straightened my hair, there was a significant shine in my hair. Also it works great as a heat protectant. Likes It is lightweight and smooth textured lotion. Detangles hair. Hair feel soft and smooth. Controls frizz. Works as a heat protectant. Dislikes Pricey. Summary: It is an innovative product from well renowned brand Wella. A beauty balm for hair. It is bit pricey but decently controls frizz and gives smooth & soft hair. Works amazingly with styling tools. I think it is great in protecting hair from heat damage, since it performed really well while I used heating tools. Excited to try this? I was absolutely in love with L’Oreal Paris Absolute Repair Lipidium Serum, until I tested out Streax hair serum which is so much cheaper than the former. I got the Streax hair serum just because the SA pushed. He was insisting on try it once. Since it was not costly, I didn’t mind adding it to my shopping cart. Streax Hair Serum – Vitalized with Walnut Oil Streax hair serum is enriched with natural walnut oil which is known to nourish the hair & enhance its smoothness, keeping hair shiny & manageable all day. Price Rs. 95 for 45ml, Rs. 190 for 100ml. How To Use Work a small amount of the serum in the palm of the hands and apply evenly through damp hair. Reapply any time of the day for added shine & frizz-free hair. Availability Available online and offline. Get on discounted price. Packaging It comes in a light golden coloured transparent plastic pump bottle. Easy to carry and use. Texture, Colour & Smell The texture of this serum is same as that of the L’Oreal Paris Absolute Repair Lipidium Serum. I would describe it clear & runny. The smell is very sweet and pleasant. Once applied to hair, the serum instantly gets absorbed into the hair shaft. My Views I have dry hair ends, I have to use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Still my hair sometimes feel dry and frizzy. Not every hair serum work for me. Actually most of the hair serums fail on my hair. Some serums are so heavily loaded with silicons that my hair just dry out further. This hair serum tames my frizzy and dry hair. Making them manageable till the next hair wash, which is something remarkable for me since not everything works for my hair. I am really convinced that it contains walnut oil and that’s working on my hair, silicons just worsen my hair condition. I don’t think it unnecessarily coats my hair. There is no product build up. I require only 2 pumps of the product and my hair are set. They detangle easily. There are no fly-aways. They are frizz free. Initially it adds shine to the hair, but it does not stay for long. It does not weigh down my hair if I apply little excess product or re apply it later on. All in all, it is a very good hair serum. I am really happy with it. Likes Hair are manageable. Hair feel smooth. Hair detangle easily. The serum tames down the frizz. Contains the goodness of walnut oil. The serum does not weigh down my hair even if I apply it again or in excess. Convenient packaging. Easily available. Very affordable. No product build up on hair strands. Little quantity is required Dislikes The shine does not stay for long.
