Dry hair are unmanageable be it any season. During winter they get very rough while during summer they are all frizzy due to humidity and heat. My dry hair are no different. I constantly struggle to keep them presentable. The effort is real while the results are not always satisfactory. AM Greens 100% Natural Intensive Hair Mask is the newest addition to my hair care routine from few weeks now. Let’s talk about this hair mask today. AM Greens 100% Natural Intensive Hair Mask This deep moisturizing hair mask is made of organic Moroccan Argan oil, Jojoba oil, Aloe Vera & Bitter Almond oil. It also contains plant milk which makes hair soft and healthy. This hair mask gives nutrition to hair while deep conditioning them. The hair look shiny and bouncy. Packaging As other hair masks, this hair mask also comes in a tub packaging. You need to scoop out desired amount and use it directly. The hair mask comes in a transparent plastic tub of 100 ml with a metallic lid. There is an intermediate plastic lid to avoid any kind of accidental spill. There is a black and white label over the the tub describing the product in detail. You can get all the information from here. Ingredients The key ingredients are Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Plant Milk , Aloe Vera. Inactive ingredients are not mentioned. How To Use AM Greens 100% Natural Intensive Hair Mask ? Apply this mask on your well combed hair starting from the roots. section by section. Now comb again to evenly distribute the hair mask. Leave it overnight and wash your hair next day with a mild and herbal shampoo. Fragrance, Texture & Consistency When I received it in y mail, the hair mask was quite runny but now as the winter has set in, the mask has solidified. It indicates that AM Greens 100% Natural Intensive Hair Mask also contains Coconut oil, which is not mentioned over the packaging. Even the hair mask smells mostly of coconut oil. It is a white colored hair mask and it’s consistency varies with temperature. Since its made up of several oils, it feels like an oil and does not feel creamy as other conventional hair masks. It reminds me of Juicy Chemistry Argan Mango Butter Hair Masque which has the same consistency. My Experience With AM Greens 100% Natural Intensive Hair Mask This hair mask is a mix of several oils and plant milk. That’s why it’s called a hair mask and nit just an herbal oil. However it looks and feels just as a herbal oil. So I use it on weekly basis or whenever I miss oiling my hair. I have kept it overnight and even for 2-3 hours on my hair. The effects had been almost the same. When I first dipped my fingers in the hair mask, I felt like I was using coconut oil. I think, I also used bit more and my hair were feeling quite heavy. It’s the same thing that happened with me when I used the Juicy Chemistry hair mask. So I had to shampoo 3 times, to get the mask out of my hair. After shampoo, my hair were definitely feeling very moisturized and shiny. Once could tell that the have been been treated nicely. Now I use it in moderation, and mainly on my roots spreading till my hair ends. But I still need at least 2 doses of shampoo to get the mask ask out of my hair, because I anyway use a mild & moisturizing shampoo. It’s not advised to use a strong shampoo post a hair mask, as it would rip the moisture out of your hair. AM Greens 100% Natural Intensive Hair Mask is very powerful and should be used in moderation. It lasts very long that way and also gives nice effect to hair. Being a natural hair mask it is more potent than the chemical based hair masks. It makes hair shinier and healthier as I have noticed. My dry hair receive great moisture from this mask. It’s a nice product. Availability might be an issue though as it is available online only. Hope you liked the review. I have cried a thousand rivers while asking God- Oily Skin & Dry Hair? Seriously? But God does not seem to bother about the biggest concern of my life… phew!!! So I again gather my senses, wipe out my tears & type Google in my browser. Hundred times, I have searched for ‘Hair Mask for Dry Hair’, L’Oreal Hair Spa deep Nourishing Creambath For Dry Hair always topping the list. Fast forward 2 months, I am here, writing about my experience with L’Oreal Hair Spa deep Nourishing Creambath For Dry Hair. Whenever I have a hair spa at a nearby salon, even they use the same blue tub, so I got it finally. Why I am not using Juicy chemistry hair mask? Juicy Chemistry Argan & Mango Hair Mask was something really worked on my hair amazingly. It really quenched the thirst of my dry hair ends. But, I need almost a tub of the product (50gm). It does not spread that easily and I literally ate it up in the very first application. So in long term, it’s costly. Why I am not using Matirx Biolage Hydrasource Hair Masque? It is wonderful, has been with me for more than an year. Lasts very long. It is affordable & economical. There are no cons, but I just got bored of using it. I wanted to try something new. L’Oreal Hair Spa deep Nourishing Creambath With Water Lily For Dry Hair This hair masque, is enriched with Water Lily to nourish hair deeply leaving them bouncy & shiny. Through massage, it treats and infuses the hair fiber with nutrients & moisture. Ingredients Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chlorihexidine Dihydrochloride, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Cetrimonium Chloride, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyll Alcohol, Nymphrea Alba Flower Extract. Price Rs. 600 for 490g. Buy here. Packaging It comes in a sky blue opaque plastic tub with a chromium lid over it’s mouth. The tub is a convenient packaging for salon use as it is supposed to be used in salons only. Whenever I travel, I transfer some amount of the masque to a travel size container. Fragrance & Texture This is an ultra creamy hair masque. You can feel the creaminess when you touch it for the very first time. The creamy white texture spreads easily on hair strand by strand. It coats hair with it’s moisture rich formula. It has quite pleasant fragrance too, mild & nice. Even my hair smell nice after using this mask for about half an hour. How To Use? I use it in two ways: As A Conditioner – Specially after using a clarifying or anti dandruff shampoo, it becomes inevitable to use a heavy conditioner to manage my dry hair. I follow up with this masque as a conditioner after shampooing once/twice a week. Keep it only for 2-3 minutes or until I am done with my shower. Rinse with cold water & am left with nice smelling, silky & soft hair which are easy to detangle. A Deep Nourishing Hair Mask – The obvious use of the masque is to use it as a hair mask. Whenever I have a professional hair spa at a salon, I have noticed them mixing L’Oreal Hair Oil with this mask before applying it on my hair & scalp. I follow the same. I use Olive/Coconut oil to mix with this hair masque. Apply the mix on my already shampooed hair & scalp thoughtfully. Tie up a bun and wear a shower cap. I keep it like this for 30 minutes to an hour & rinse it finally. It takes a lot of water that way. Efficacy It is damn effective in nourishing my dry hair. I found this hair mask to be less effective than Juicy Chemistry Argan & Mango Butter Hair Masque in terms of providing shine & more effective than Matrix Biolage Hydrasource Hair Mask in terms of hydration. Hair are manageable, soft & shiny. It has never weighed my hair down though despite of being ultra creamy & hydrating. I have been liking the mask very much. My hair are moisturized & behave well when used this masque. It is bit pricey but is going to last me for 3-4 months while used as a conditioner as well as a hair mask. The hair masque contains silicons, hence it creates product build up when used regularly, a clarifying shampoo must be used. Hope you liked the review.
