Argan Oil based hair products are like a boon for dry & damaged hair. I have such rough & unruly hair, any regular hair care products don’t deliver. Few years back on my second honeymoon to Thailand, I picked up some nice skincare, hair care & makeup. Boots Retail is famous for it’s high quality products at affordable price. I really liked Boots Egg & Beer Intensive hair mask & Nature’s Series Olive Oil Hair Mask. Few weeks back when my husband went on an official trip to Bangkok, I asked him to pick the same hair masks. But unfortunately, Boots Egg & Beer Hair Mask was unavailable. Instead he picked up Nature’s Series Argan Oil Shampoo, Nature’s Series Argan Oil Hair Treatment Mask, Nature’s Series Olive Hair Treatment Mask and Boots Acocado & Macadamia Intensive Hair Treatment. Nature’s Series Olive Hair Treatment Mask is already my favorite , while Boots Acocado & Macadamia Intensive Hair Treatment is for fine hair so not for me. Coming to Nature’s Series Argan Oil Shampoo, Nature’s Series Argan Oil Hair Treatment Mask, they were something I was really excited to try out. Here I am going to review the Argan Oil combo from Nature’s Series for my hair type i.e. Dry & Dull. Nature’s Series Argan Oil Shampoo This shampoo has been specially formulated with Argan Oil to help nourish the hair & provide extra shine. The special extracts contained by the shampoo protects hair & repair hair damage. Use regularly for clean feeling, silky & smooth & more manageable hair. Price & Packaging I don’t know the exact price of the piece since I have lost the bill, but checked online & it is around $9 which is about 600INR for 250ml. Kinda pricey in one go. But for the quantity given, the price is alright. It comes in a dark brown semi transparent plastic bottle with black pump fitted at the top. The packaging is bulky but convenient to be used at home. After all a shampoo is supposed to be kept on a bathroom shelve only. The packaging has all the information about the products. Like what is this product, it’s claims, how to use , ingredients etc. The packaging is sturdy & attractive. My Experience Nature’s Series Argan Oil Shampoo This is a creamy yet runny white colored shampoo which lathers very well when diluted with water. It definitely lists SLS in it’s ingredients list which is the reason behind the luxury feeling. It smells nice & mild, kind of sweet actually. While using this shampoo I can feel my hair softening gradually with just one wash. It’s like hair have have found their master in this shampoo and they are obeying as it says. They literally feel nice & soft to touch post every wash. But yes I always need to put a conditioner to make my hair more manageable. Nature’s Series Argan Oil Hair Treatment Mask This hair treatment mask contains Organic Argan Oil, to help nourish & provide extra shine to hair. It protects & repair hair damage while leaving hair more maneageable. Price & Packaging of Nature’s Series Argan Oil Hair Treatment Mask This hair mask is also available at the same price of $9 for 180ml. The hair mask comes in a brown colored tub with a black colored lid over it. There is olive colored labeling across the tub to give out product information. My Experience With The Hair Mask I generally pick hair treatments and hair masks in place of hair conditioners because hair masks are more rich in moisture & deeply nourish my hair. I really admire Argan Oil for it’s benefits for skin & hair. I have actually seen it working for me very well. Similarly this mask from Nature’s Series is thick & ultra creamy. It smells amazingly sweet & pleasant. One dollop of the product is enough to cover my hair ends. I try to keep it bit longer for the mask to work on my hair since they are really needy by nature. Post wash, there are boosted level of shine, moisture & nourishment that one can notice in my hair. The after effects stay. Do I Recommend Nature’s Series Argan Oil Shampoo & Mask? Even though the combo is pricey and not easily available, I think I would surely pick this combo again. Overall, Nature’s Series Argan Oil Shampoo & Hair Treatment Mask are really suitable for dull & dry hair. The combo starts working from the first wash. The effect on hair is long lasting & the quality of hair really improves with time. I hope the shampoo & the mask were easily available in India too. That was my review of the combo. How To Use Indigo Powder To Dye Hair Black? Follow these Steps: 1. Prepare Henna Alone For Application On Hair. You should always prepare Henna a night before application to get the true reddish brown color on your hair. Prepare Henna paste in coffee concoction & let it stay overnight. Apply the paste next day on clean hair covering each grey strand. 2. Let the paste of Henna Stay on your hair for at least 3 hours. And then wash it away. 3. Now Make A Paste Of Indigo Powder using water. Let it stay for 2 hours & then apply it over your Henna-ed hair. 4. You might not get jet black color in the very first use, but you can repeat the Henna-Indigo or Indigo paste alone to get the desired shade. 5. Do not shampoo your hair frequently to keep the color for long on your hair. Also deep condition your hair regularly to maintain luster & shine. My Experience With Indus Valley Organic Indigo Power I tend to get cold very easily. the frequent colds are the reason behind grey hair on my head. Frustrating. I use Henna but of course it can’t turn them back to black. Indus Valley was very kind to send some products to me to test, among which one was Indigo powder. I had never heard about this product before. I googled about it and Oh my, the pages were full of articles on how to cover your grey hair with Indigo Powder as dye. I tried mixing Indigo Powder with Henna when I first used the powder. I let the paste sit overnight. The next day I applied it. I was really excited to see the results. But it disappointed me. I did not get even 10% coverage. My hair were still grey. I felt like even Henna did not perform well. I again googled the right way to use Indigo powder. This time I got it right. I applied Henna paste before hand. Washed Henna & then applied the Indigo powder paste. This was way better. I again applied Indigo powder to get more intensity. Now my grey hair are deep brown. I am finally convinced. The process it time consuming & tiring but when you get desired results, it makes you smile. I would also like to add, my hair are dry and using Henna & Indigo powder alone really dry them out. So I try mixing oils to the pastes which can hinder some color deposition over hair. Tips To Make Indigo Paste More Intense Add a spoon of salt to bring out more intense color. In place of adding oils you can also add eggs to the place. Let me share my experience with the same oil for the various purposes I have been using it. In Oil Cleansing Method | As Makeup Remover Oil cleansing is a very popular way of cleansing your skin. Oils dissolves the skin impurities such as oil, dirt, grim etc and you can take it off with a wet wipe or cotton later going for a simple face wash if like to. I do not use this method regularly but I like to go for deep cleansing whenever I wear makeup, which happens to be twice or thrice in a week. It definitely controls my hair fall, strengthens my hair roots and enhances moisture level. I like to use castor oil specially for new hair growth. For Healthy Nails & Cuticles I like to massage my cuticles and nails with this castor oil twice a week since it is high in Vitamin E which helps the nails to grow faster and stay strong while the cuticles stay soft. The oil is pure & organic and hence work great for every use. For Cracked Lips & Heels Bliss Of Earth Castor Oil works great to soft lips as well as heels. Tresemme Botanique Detox & Restore Shampoo is contained in a forest green matte bottle with a black press-to-open cap which also can be unscrewed from the mouth of the bottle. The bottle is opaque which makes it easier for the brand to gimmick us of giving 190 ml only for 150 bucks while in reality the bottle of any Tresemme shampoo or conditioner are always half filled. Fragrance & Texture The fragrance of Tresemme products is always good & this range too does fit for the statement. The fragrance is little on herbal side but not in a pungent way. I rather find the fragrance sweet & mild. Sadly, the smell does not linger on hair for long. The shampoo is very runny in consistency & clear gel in texture. It lathers very well, so I do not need to use a lot of product in order to clean my hair and scalp. On the other hand, the conditioner s bit thick in consistency because it is cream based. It is white in color and is not much runny. I unscrew the cap of the conditioner to take out the product because it takes a lot of time to take out the product otherwise. My Views My hair type is dry & dull. My hair ends are really always in dire need of moisture. I like to oil my hair before shampooing to boost some moisture in my hair. I also detest using those shampoos, conditioners & serum which gives silicon build up on my hair. This range from Tresemme is specially to remove product build up and induce the natural shine into hair. I picked up this combo of shampoo & conditioner with out any hesitation. It is important to use a clarifying shampoo every few days to keep your hair free of product build up. Talking about the shampoo I like the smell, consistency & the texture. It lathers well upon mixing when diluted with water. It cleanses my scalp & hair of any dirt, grim & oil that my hair might have. If I have oiled my hair, I do go for an another round of shampoo but with half the amount. My hair feels soft & smells nice while I am still rinsing them. Taking out the excess water out of my hair after shampoo, I take out some conditioner in the palm of my hand. I spread it across my hair till roots avoiding the scalp. It it not that utterly creamy conditioner, like I want my conditioner to be, but it still amazingly conditions & de-tangles my hair withing 3-5 minutes while I take my shower. After taking my shower, I rinse out the conditioner & take out excess water out of my hair. Let my hair dry naturally & then go for a hair serum. The texture of my hair has improved. There is definitely induced level of shine. My hair are more obi dent and less frizzy. I really am liking this hair care combo. Summary I really recommend Tresemme Botanique Detox & Restore Shampoo And Nourish & Replenish Conditioner, as clarifying shampoo & conditioner which are free of parabenes & dyes. The shampoo cleanses scalp and hair of dirt, oil & grim. Contains anti bacterial & anti fungal ingredients. The conditioner is nourishing and works even on dry & dull hair. The combo seem to be suitable for all hair types, as the texture of the combo is very light. Packaging The hair oil comes in an olive-colored sturdy plastic bottle with a black flip top cap that can be unscrewed from the bottle. On the front and back of the bottle, there are labels providing information about the product. How To Use? This hair oil is supposed to be used as any other hair oil. I like to use it a night before my scheduled hair wash. I section my hair and apply the oil in the scalp as well as from root to the tip. A thorough massage of 15-20 minutes ensures good blood circulation and helps the oil to get penetrated into the hair shaft for deep nourishment. Texture, Color & Smell It is a yellowish oil with runny consistency which makes it easy to apply to the hair. The oil does not feel sticky or chip-chipa which I detest, rather I like how perfectly my hair drinks this hair oil. As I open the flap of the bottle, I smell a heavy herbal smell which is not pleasant at all, but slowly the smell goes away as I carry on with the application. There is no weird smell out of the hair after application though. My Hair Type Dry & Dull. My Experience I was neutral when I received this hair oil from Richfeel to test out their few products. But later I realized this is something really potent in terms of moisturization. If my hair gets enough moisture, all my hair problems go away which are mostly dryness & roughness. I have been using it since every alternate night from the last 2 weeks. And I can vouch for the difference it has made to the moisture level of my hair. I started noticing the difference from the very first application. The oil comes out with normal shampoo as it is not thick in nature. After washing my hair, my hair was nourished & frizz-free. They feel smooth & look happy. There is definitely enhanced shine especially at my hair ends which are mostly dehydrated. The information about the products & how to use the products is provided on the detachable leaflet as well as on the products too. Ingredients are mentioned in the individual products. My Hair Type I have dry hair with drier hair ends. How To Use RichFeel Argan Hair Spa Kit? It’s very easy to use the products. Follow these steps to treat your hair with a dose of Argan oil. Step 1 – Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Oil The very first step of the hair spa is to use Richfeel Argan Hair oil on your scalp & hair. The hair oil is packaged inside a glass bottle with a dropper fitted at the top to protect it from contamination. I feel this is a very convenient packaging. This is a nonsticky yet hydrating hair oil with the sweet smell of Argan Oil. To use the hair oil, section your hair & apply a sufficient amount of hair oil into your scalp & over your hair from root to tips. Massage gently for a few minutes. Leave it on your scalp & hair for 15-20 minutes. Here’s is what I did. I massaged this oil into my scalp & hair a night before using the kit. I went to sleep with this oil on my hair. The hair oil is nonsticky yet moisturizing. Some times, when a hair oil texture does not agree with my hair types, my hair would feel like they have been coated with something. but this hair oil simply sank into my hair & leaving a glossy finish. Step 2 – Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Shampoo The shampoo & the mask in this kit, come in the same tube packaging with a screw-on cap on the top. The packaging shows kernels of argan tree pouring out the oil. I washed my oiled hair with Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Shampoo following the instructions. The shampoo is off white in color, creamy in texture & not much runny inconsistency. The shampoo has a mild and bearable smell. The shampoo lathered on average. Even my favorite Organix Argan Shampoo does not lather much. I used the shampoo twice to get rid of the Argan hair oil out of my hair. That’s normal too. My hair & scalp were thoroughly clean after the final rinse. I would like to account for the softness of my hair to the Richfeel Argan hair Oil I used the previous night, instead of the Argan Oil Shampoo because, I feel shampoo only cleanses the scalp & hair of the oil, dirt & grime. Step 3 Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Mask This hair mask is supposed to be used after the shampoo. Squeeze the excess water out of your hair & apply it section by section. Keep it for 10-15 minutes on hair before rinsing out with plain water. Initially, I did not like the creamy yet thick texture of the almond colored Argan Spa Mask from Richfeel. My hair took a lot of the product since I was not able to spread it much. It felt like it was quickly getting absorbed into my hair like my hair was drinking or eating it. I don’t know if it’s good or bad. It did not feel like I had coated my hair with a mask as happens when I use Matrix Biolage Hair Masque or any other hair masque. Hence I was not convinced that it suited my hair type. It felt a little insufficient to provide the desired moisture to my hair. I went to take a bath keeping this hair mask on my hair. After 15-20 minutes I rinsed the hair mask out of my hair. My hair felt good. Not like silicon-y good. I ran my fingers through my hair & they felt softer & already detangled. The mask did its job. Step 4 – Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Serum Hair serum is a must-do step while doing a hair spa at home. Hair serum seals in all the good things & moisture while inducing more shine & softness to hair. Next, I squeezed the excess water out of my hair & let them be like that for about 2-3 minutes while getting dressed up. Then I went ahead to the serum shipped in the kit. Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Serum is honey-colored with medium consistency. The serum’s texture is water-based & nonsticky. It gets absorbed into the hair with a wink of an eye. I do not feel any residue left behind on my hair or on my palm. What is left behind is incredible shine into my hair. The serum has a very sweet & nice smell, but would not stay on hair for much longer. Likes Delivers benefits of Argan Oil. Gives a boost of moisture & shine to hair. At home use. Multi usage kit. Affordable. Easily available. Dislikes I am a bit dicey about the hair mask provided. I do not like it’s consistency much. A mask should have a luxurious feel on the hair. While this hair mask felt like I have not applied anything on my hair while I used up more than half of the mask tube in the very first use. This concludes my experience with Richfeel Argan Hair Spa Kit. I really enjoyed its effects on my hair. The spa experience left my hair hydrated, healthy, and super shiny. The kit is so affordable and will give at least 2 uses (more if you have shorter hair). I loved Hair Oil & the Serum especially. The shampoo & the masks fit in somehow. I would recommend this kit who likes to do at home hair spas. Assure is a new brand, but I have been seeing it a lot online and hearing about it offline a lot. I have got few products from the brand. Today I am going to talk about a shampoo from the brand which is formulated to hydrate Dry & Damaged hair. Honestly speaking, I really dig into any hair product that claims to be meant for Dry & Damaged hair. Some work decently while some fail miserably. I mostly judge a product on basis of the amount of shine & moisture it can induce into my hair ends. If my hair ends feel & look healthy, I pass it otherwise of course, it’s a miss for me. Shampoos & conditioners should be given ample time to show results though. It takes time for the potent ingredients of a product to penetrate deep into the hair shaft and work. We use shampoo for 2-3 minutes on our scalp and hair, so the product does not really get enough time to work on the problem area. But this does not mean that you can put a chemically laden shampoo on your hair like a mask. Rather make sure to keep it for 3-5 while massaging your scalp gently to circulate blood thoroughly which gives a boost to new & healthy hair. About ASSURE Moisture Rich Shampoo With Green Tea Extract ASSURE says that this moisture rich shampoo is enriched with Green Tea Extracts to give your dry and damaged hair a boost of moisture making them healthy & shiny again. It also contains milk protein which hydrates hair from root to tip. Vitmain Pro B5 is essential to grow healthy hair. Green Tea has anti oxidant properties which protects your hair from further damage. Price Rs. 180 for 200ml . Buy here . Ingredients Packaging The shampoo comes in a transparent plastic bottle with push to open black cap at the top. The packaging looks fine and attractive but this kind of push to open packaging are not generally leak proof. The bottle contains all the information about the product like how to use, ingredients, price & other vital information. Color, Texture & Smell It is a bright yellow colored & with gel like consistency shampoo. It lathers very well when diluted with water. It has fresh citrus-y kind of smell. I am quite fond of the smell though. It is very mild and pleasant. My Experience I have used it quite few times. A dollop of the product is enough for my waist length hair because it lathers very well. It cleanses my scalp very well. If I have oiled my hair, I definitely need some more product than the usual. It also rinses well without much hassle. Coming to the after effects, there is bit shine to my hair, but that’s all, I do not find any thing extra ordinary out of this shampoo. I have used it without oiling, after oiling, with conditioner & without using a conditioner. The results are nothing much expressive. It does not do much on it’s own. On closing notes I would say it is economical. But that’s all. Summary : 3/5 ASSURE Moisture Rich Shampoo With Green Tea Extract is an average shampoo which might work good for normal to oily hair type. But for dry/damaged hair type, it can not do much. It lathers well, smells nice & is economical. Not every product stands true to it’s claims. Sometimes, I can tell with very first use, if a product is promising or not. I like to oil my hair in hot summer days when I am not going to go out. That’s why I need good quality hair oils for summer. I am not much experimental with my hair products because I have hairfall problem too. But, this year I somehow managed myself to get a new hair oil. This is how Himalaya Herbals Anti-Dandruff Hair Oil came to my kitty. Stay tuned to know more on my experience with this low-budget scalp treatment oil. About Himalaya Herbals Anti-Dandruff Hair Oil Anti-Dandruff Hair Oil is a special treatment oil which is enriched with Tea-tree oil, the most effective natural anti-dandruff agent and Rosemary, an effective anti-fungal agent. Ingredients Each ml contains: Oils Rusmari Lf. 50mg, Hyamaraka Lf. 20mg, Kayaputi Lf. 5mg, Nimba Sd. 2mg How to Use Apply liberally on hair and scalp and gently massage, leave overnight. Wash with Himalaya Herbals Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. Packaging The Anti-Dandruff hair oil comes on a transparent plastic bottle with deep green plastic flip-open cum screw open cap. This bottle is packed inside a cardboard box with similar label graphics as the bottle. Both the bottle and the box have deep green written information over white. Colour, Texture & Smell This hair oil is colourless and transparent. The texture is not at all thick, but quite runny. Its non-oily formula applies very easily to the hair. This oil has weird herbal smell. I could identify traces of tea tree oil smell in it. Thankfully the smell is not long-staying. The fragrance vanishes within a few hours if I am doing overnight oiling. The smell does not stay after hair wash. My Views I have been using this oil for over one month now. I like to apply it as a pre-shampoo hair nourisher or a substitute of conditioner for the days I am feeling lazy to apply conditioner and let it stay put for 5 minutes. This oil moisturizes my hair quite well without making my head an oil-factory if I am using it as pre-poo. The days I am feeling impatient or I am to stay home I follow my regular shampoo routine with a few drops of this oil. In both these ways, this shampoo makes my hair soft and manageable. These were the pros of this product. Now, in the ingredient list of this ugly smelling product, there are only the names of active ingredients; nothing has been mentioned about the base material of this oil or the preservatives used. I have used some body oils from Himalaya which clearly mentioned all those details. I like to know about what I am putting in my hair so this is a con for me. This shampoo, after using a month, did very less in curing my mild dandruff problem. That means, this oil would take eternity to control heavy dandruff or scalp infection. To me, this one is just another hair oil with herbal formula and some nutrifying properties. Its anti-dandruff claim did not do any work for me.
