I have used almost every variant from the Garnier Ultra Blends range. I especially liked Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Shampoo & Conditioner I am also very impressed with Garnier Ultra Blends Anti Hair Fall Shampoo Royal Jelly & Lavender One thing I also have noticed that the shampoos from this range perform much better than their counterpart conditioners. I picked up Garnier Ultra Blends Mythic Olive Deep Nourishing Conditioner because I have dry hair. Olive oil-based shampoos and conditioners work really well on my hair. I have been using this Olive based conditioner for about a month now. I am penning down my experience with the same today. Garnier Ultra Blends Mythic Olive Deep Nourishing Conditioner Garnier Ultra Blends range brings another gem in the series. You can buy the conditioner form various offline stores & online websites. Ingredients Packaging The Ultra Blends range has nice sturdy packaging. Each variant comes in the same style but a different color plastic bottles. This Mythic Olive conditioner comes in an inverted, olive-colored opaque plastic bottle with a light golden flip-top cap fitted at its mouth. The cap’s opening has a leaf embossed at the opening. The bottle has all the details about the product. The packaging is quite sturdy but 175ml product is not something I would call travel friendly. Fragrance & Texture I thought it would smell like olives but no it smells exactly like the other variants from the range – sweet. The texture of this off white colored conditioner is smooth creamy & of medium consistency. It is not much runny but won’t get stuck inside the bottle as Organix Conditioners do. My Experience As I mentioned earlier I have dry hair. During the recent monsoon season, they turned really bad. They were too rough & unmanageable in addition to falling out altogether. Bliss Of Earth Hair Oil & Indus Valley Growout Hair Oil really helped me with my hair fall issue, but the dry ends needed long-lasting care of a rich conditioner. And that’s when I grabbed this Mythic Olive conditioner. I had high hopes. Firstly because it was Olive Oil based & secondly because the range has been a hit for me. I like the texture of the conditioner which feels really rich promising to leave my hair nourished. The smell is nice & the packaging is convenient & sturdy. I use this conditioner after every shampoo wash. I take 2 dollops of this conditioner. Apply from hair mid-lengths till the end. Leave the conditioner for at least 5 minutes & then rinse it off with cold water. My hair detangles easily. They feel soft to touch. I do not however notice much shine or nourishment. The very next day of head washes my hair has more roughness & dullness, especially at the ends. I found this conditioner to be just average. It does nothing extraordinary in terms of nourishment. Do I Recommend Garnier Ultra Blends Mythic Olive Deep Nourishing Conditioner? If you have normal to oily hair types, this hair conditioner is good. If you have dry hair, this hair conditioner will leave hair manageable but won’t give much nourishment. Overall, Garnier Ultra Blends Mythic Olive Deep Nourishing Conditioner, is a parabene free conditioner which will suit normal hair. It mainly contains Virgin olive Oil & Vitamin E. Hello Lovely Ladies. Anti hair fall shampoos become necessity during winter season. My hair fall is unreal. It feels like the hair would never stop falling and I would go bald for sure. This winter season was nothing different from the previous years. I faced a lot of hair fall in the month of November & December. By then I had not started using Japakusum Lotion and my Custom Hair Oil Mix. I was searching peace of mind in shampoos and conditioners. In the process, I came across Garnier Ultra Blends Anti Hair Fall Shampoo With Royal Jelly & Lavender. About Garnier Ultra Blends Anti Hair Fall Shampoo Ultra Blends is a relatively new hair care range from Garnier which claims to contain natural & precious ingredients to treat hair problem the natural way. The ingredients are selected carefully on the basis of their proven efficacy. Above all, every formula is parabene free. This specific variant targets hair fall problem. It contains Royal Jelly & Lavender Essence. The herbs are rich in amino acids, vitamins & lipids. The ingredients help to strengthen and reinforce hair. The end result is strong, bouncy & healthy hair. Price Rs. 120 for 175ml. Rs. 230 for 340ml. Rs. 430 for 640ml. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging The Ultra Blends range from Garnier has a typical packaging where variants differ in the colour of the bottle. This particular variant comes in a light green honey opaque plastic bottle with a rust coloured cap. The bottle contains attractive graphics of Lavender & a golden coloured bottle supposed to be containing Royal Jelly. The packaging clearly states that the formula is parabene free. Product information & ingredients are listed at the back of the bottle. The bottle contains a shiny rust coloured cap fitted at the top with a leaf embossed at the opening (very typical of the Ultra Blends range packaging). Colour, Texture & Smell It is a runny & creamy shampoo. The shampoo is light honey coloured. The colour is so light that my camera could not pick it. It lathers well. The smell is herbal, mild & pleasant. It smells mostly of Lavender, can’t pick up honey smell in the shampoo. I am a fan of Lavender smell, so it fits the bill. My Experience So I was saying that when my hair starts falling out during winter, they always fall out like crazy. There is no way I can stay calm in that phase. I start hunting for hair care products which can help me sail through that phase. In the same mode of panic, last December, I laid my hands on this anti hair fall shampoo. I was thrilled to read about the product description where it was claimed that the shampoo contained Lavender & Royal Jelly. I was not sure about the effect of Royal Jelly on my hair but I was damn sure Lavender could help me. I need only a dollop of the shampoo to wash my mid length hair, since it lathers well. I am always very gentle when I wash my hair, so I massage my scalp with the shampoo for about 2 minutes before taking the lather till the hair ends. I never apply shampoo directly to the hair ends since it is not advised.The shampoo cleanses my scalp of oil & dirt, without making my hair ends dry. It washes away without any hassle. I like the Lavender smell that the shampoo has. Lavender smells good & it has a calming effect on senses. Coming to the after effect, after using the shampoo for about a month there was significant reduction in my hair fall. I would say it helped me reduce my hair fall upto 50%. I do not think any shampoo has been that much effective on my hair fall problem ever. I can say it has been quite effective on my severe case of hair fall. I finished the bottle in 2 months but never really got it again since, I do not face the hair fall problem now, as I have started using my hair oil regularly along with a wonderful scalp lotion. I can use any shampoo I want. Likes Nice creamy texture. Lathers well & enough. Cleanses my scalp & hair effectively. I saw 50% reduction in my hair fall while I used this shampoo alone. Contains very effective herbs such as Lavender & Royal Jelly. Smells heavenly. Affordable, economical & easily available. Parabene free. Dislikes None Summary : 5/5 This is one of the anti hair fall shampoos that actually worked on my hair. I did see effective results. I think the blend of this shampoo is amazing and the shampoo is gentle for daily use too. The parabene free formula & affordability make it more desirable. I feel shampoo, conditioner & hair serums are superficial. I do not expect much from them. Healthy hair & skin depends upon your eating habits & lifestyle. Brands come out with new hair care ranges every now and then claiming to be more close to nature. Garnier Ultra Blends is also a recently launched range which claims to be parabene free and claims to contain more natural ingredients to deliver much satisfactory results. I have been using Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Shampoo & Conditioner from quite a while. Let me share what I feel about this range. About Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Shampoo & Conditioner Garnier claims that this Ultra Blends range is free of parabenes while composed of natural ingredients that are carefully selected to deliver the much needed nourishment to hair. This particular Soy Milk & Almonds formula is for the damaged hair to repair them and strengthen them from roots by providing them hair protein from Soy Milk & almonds which are high in protein content. Finally your hair are repaired & restored. Hair feels soft & managed with every wash. Price Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Shampoo retails at Rs. 120 for 175ml. There is also a combo deal going on in which you get 75ml conditioner with 175ml pack of the shampoo, which I got recently. Ingredients Packaging This range of Garnier hair care claims to be close to nature hence the packaging is soothing and depicts of natural ingredients like almonds & soy milk. The combo comes in white opaque bottles with golden coloured flip top cap. There is an embossing of a leaf at the opening of the flip top cap which is common among all the hair shampoos & conditioners from the same Ultra Blends range. The packaging is sturdy, attractive & travel friendly. The only difference in the packaging of the shampoo and the conditioner is that they disperse product from opposite directons which is a conventional packaging of any shampoo and conditioner from any range/brand. Colour, Texture & Smell The shampoo & conditioner both are runny white liquids where the shampoo is more runny than the conditioner because it is little thicker than the shampoo for the obvious reasons. The shampoo is more like a lotion while the conditioner is creamy in consistency. Both the shampoo & the conditioner smell the same, mild & pleasant. My Experience Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Shampoo The shampoo is supposed to be containing Soy Milk & Almonds which makes it very moisturising & creamy. The shampoo lathers well and effectively cleanses my scalp. It gets rid of dirt, sweat & oil in just one wash. It also washes away easily leaving my scalp feeling clean. I never felt any itchiness or allergy after using this shampoo. My hair ends feel soft while am still under shower. I actually feel like not using anything else because they feel quite moisturised. I like the runny consistency of this shampoo because it’s easy to lather and apply onto my hair while I face trouble with Organix Keratin Shampoo which is thick like a conditioner. Also takes little time to lather. I would say that I could not see any difference in my hair’s quality over a time period of 3 months. It’s just a shampoo and can only give an effective cleansing. Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Conditioner After using the Shampoo, I squeeze my hair to get rid of the excess water. Then I take some conditioner and apply it from the mid lengths of my hair till the hair ends. Then I carry on with my bath. After 5 minutes or so, I rinse my hair with cold water to take out the conditioner. I air dry my hair. Honestly I am not much pleased with the conditioner since it’s not that creamy that it can moisturize my hair ends well. It is good for fine hair, but my thick & dry hair needs extra care. I also need to use a lot of this conditioner to get decent results. I can get much better results when I combine the shampoo from the same range with any other creamy conditioner/ mask. Likes Like the formula of the shampoo. The shampoo lathers well even on oiled hair. Gentle yet effective. Gets rid of oil & dirt in just one wash. The shampoo will suit all hair types while the conditioner will work for fine hair. The shampoo & the conditioner are free of parabenes. Smells nice. Affordable & easily available. Dislikes The conditioner is not much effective in moisturising my dry hair. The combo did not deliver much in terms of damage repair. Summary I would recommend the Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Intense Repair Shampoo for all hair types for effective yet gentle cleansing, but the conditioner can be skipped. The combo is affordable though & is free of parabenes too. Today I will be reviewing the Royal jelly and Lavender conditioner from the new Garnier Ultra Blends range. This new haircare range of Garnier is actually the counterpart of the Whole Blends range they have launched for the US and other countries. The Whole Blend range is quite raved about in the beauty world so I was super excited to try the Ultra Blends products. When they first came into the market I got this Royal Jelly and Lavender conditioner along with the oil-in-cream from the same range which I have already reviewed here on High On Gloss. This conditioner is said to reduce hair fall due to breakage. As I am growing out my hair, I am trying to reduce split ends and breakages. That is why I opted for this particular conditioner. The packaging is simple yet elegant, sturdy as well as travel-friendly. Colour, Texture & Smell The conditioner is opaque and white in colour. The consistency of this conditioner is thick and creamy. The thickness is similar to other Garnier shampoos but consistency-wise it is creamier. It smells like fresh lavender. The fragrance is very soothing and calming. The smell is slightly stronger when I pour it onto my palm but not at all overpowering when I apply it. It gives me a spa-like relaxing experience and prevents my scalp from smelling foul due to excessive sweating. My Views Immediately after shampooing I squeeze out the excess water from my hair and apply this conditioner on the ends of my hair. I keep it on my hair for about 3-4 minutes and then wash it off. Less is more for this product. Only a dollop of the product is needed for my medium-to-long length hair! The performance of this conditioner is really impressive. My hair looked smoother, shinier and healthier from the first application itself. It has been able to tame my unruly freezes without weighing my hair down. Combing my hair has now become a lot easier. The conditioner is very pocket-friendly. 1 ml of product costs only Re.1. This conditioner contains some of the widely appreciated herbal ingredients like honey, lavender oil, royal jelly and amla extract. Honey is a great nourishment agent for hair, it softens hair. Lavender oil increases blood circulation which enhances hair growth. Royal jelly is rich in biotin which plays a major role in making hair strong from the roots and improving hair texture. Amla controls hair fall and helps to prevent premature greying of hair. Although the product has many herbal constituents it is not entirely free from chemicals like alcohols. This is the only con I could find in this conditioner. Likes Smells awesome. Tames frizz. Free from harmful parabens. Does not make my hair limp. Pocket-friendly. The ingredient list includes some wonderful constituents like honey, royal jelly, lavender oil etc. Dislikes Contains silicones Summary: 4.75/5 I love love love this conditioner. It has amazing soothing fragrance, perfect consistency and fits in my budget too. Its effectiveness has exceeded my expectations. It nourishes my dry hair without making it limp. It reduced hair fall due to breakage to a good extent. My hair looks shinier, healthier after using this conditioner. Colour, Texture & Smell This oil-in-cream is white in colour and has a citrus-y fragrance to it. The smell is on the lemony side but not tangy. Its consistency is quite creamy and thick. It is thicker and creamier than the Garnier’s Triple Nutrition variant. Suitability If you have dry hair or combination hair like me, check this out. You will not be disappointed. If you have extremely oily hair, giving it a skip will be a good decision. My Views I use it as a leave-in conditioner when I skip the conditioner after shampoo. Sometimes I use it after conditioning also. It enhances the effectiveness of my conditioner. I take two pea size amounts in my hand and rub between my palms to spread it. Then I apply it only on the ends of my wet hair. Finally, I comb my hair with a wide toothed comb when my hair is almost dried. I have not used it as a pre-shampoo product so I cannot tell how it will substitute hair oils. Garnier has nailed it with the formula for their new range. I have used two other products from the same range and am quite happy with the result. This oil-in-cream is also not an exception. It makes my hair less tangle-prone (if that makes any sense at all!), manages freezes and gives my hair a sheer lustre that stays for 2-3 days. This oil-in-cream is very pocket-friendly too. Considering the quantity and quality it’s a steal deal for me. The most important advantage of this oil-in-cream is that it contains sodium benzoate (a food grade preservative used mainly in tinned fruits and jams) as a preservative, not any kind of paraben. Plus this product is also loaded with the goodness of herbal ingredients that we often use in our hair DIYs. It contains aloe vera leaf juice powder, extract of green tea leaf, eucalyptus leaf extract, lemon fruit extract, coconut oil and henna leaf extract. Citronellol is used as a flavouring agent which is found in citronella oils and rose oil. Likes Makes hair soft to touch. Tames frizzy hair. Pocket-friendly. Ingredients include extracts of henna, lemon, eucalyptus etc. Cleanses the scalp and removes product build-ups Dislikes It contains silicones and alcohols Summary: 4.5/5 Overall, I like this oil-in-cream a lot. It nourishes my dry hair and somehow gives a definition to my curls. It adds shine without limping out my hair. In my opinion, this budget oil-in-cream can easily compete with other pricier leave-in products available in Indian market. Have you used this oil-in-cream? Another Saturday Rambling – Another Haul

Before I got married, my Saturdays were dedicated to shopping with my sister. It does not happen much now, as we live in different cities. Since we are together this weekend, we decided to make the Saturday remember-able and have a walk down the memory lane which resulted into a small haul. I have tried the Almond version of Garnier Ultra Blends Range, and it suited my hair really well. Since I am a fan of lavender smell, I got it. Hope this variant( Royal Jelly & Lavender ) will also suit my hair. Joveen Musk is a brilliant fragrance, and I use it now and then. Was quite hesitant about the Streax Hair Serum but the SA insisted a lot. NELF is a relatively new brand to Indian market, but is a decent and affordable USA brand. I got a lip gloss and silver gel liner from NELF. I don’t know why, but Incolor has impressed me quit a lot these days. I have used eyeliners from Incolor as well as lip colors. Today I got 2 in 1 lip creams from Incolor which are similar to NYX Lip Creams. Also picked a quite orange-y lip gloss. I am a fan of Elle 18 nail pops, got few more shades. Aroms Magic Anti Pigmentation mask, is a my HG mask. It was getting over hence, got it. Also got Dabur Gulabari, it’s quite refreshing when used with face masks. After shopping, we sat down for coffee to rest our feet, we agreed, how much we missed it. This time together, no matter how old we get, we can never forget the connection that we have between us.
