Hello Beauties, how are you girls? Do you use age defying creams? The creams that promise to keep your skin youthful no matter how many candles you are blowing on your cake every year? I do not follow any anti ageing skin care regimen as such, but there is one such cream that has been in my household. It’s Pond’s Age Miracle Cell ReGen Day Cream SPF 15 PA++. It is considered to be among the best anti ageing day cream. This cream is highly publicized for it’s retinol benefits. I have used it on and off over the years, but this cream has been favorite of my mother, ever since, I introduced it to her. So I chose this day cream to talk about today. This is my family’s favorite, as my sister too likes to use this cream sometimes, when she is running out of Pond’s White Beauty Day Cream. So let’s jump on to the review of this day cream with SPF from Pond’s. About Pond’s Age Miracle Cell ReGen Day Cream SPF 15 PA++ Pond’s identified 6 vital bio-actives which leads to the creation of the intelligent Pro Cell Complex™ for the Pond’s Age Miracle™ range. It allows skin cells to regenerate so fast, age simply cannot catch up. Clinically Proven. Dermatologically tested. Pond’s advises to use cleanser, serum & night cream from the same range for better results. Price Rs. 599 for 50gm. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging The day cream pot comes in a red & silver colored card box. Pond’s logo is printed over the card box with other information about the product. Inside the card box you find a semi transparent glass pot containing the cream with a shiny red colored lid in fancy shape. As you open the lid, you find the tub mouth covered with a plastic cover to avoid any spillage. Fragrance & Texture The day cream is sweetly scented, and smells quite luxurious. I feel, all the Pond’s creams smell the same way. The texture of the cream is very fine & smooth that it glides on skin beautifully. The color of the cream is has pink tint. One pea size amount covers face perfectly. But if you want to reap the benefit of the small amount of SPF that this cream contains, I advice you to apply it twice taking pea sized amount. Since the cream contains bit of SPF, the cream might give some sweating to the skins that are prone to suffocation, like mine. My mother’s aged & normal skin, does not feel any heaviness even during summer. My Experience I am going to share here 3 experiences, with 3 different types of skins. I have oily & acne prone skin, my sister has combination skin while my mother has mature & normal-dry skin type. The cream gives matte finish while satisfying the moisturizing needs of my oily skin. The cream minimizes my pore appearance giving it a smooth & brightening effect. As long I continue using this cream it keeps my skin even toned & glowing. But as soon I apply it on my skin, I feel bit of sweating. And continuous usage, gives me few blocked pores as day creams with SPF are known to do so to my skin. My sister has combination skin, so she needs bit of moisture & matte finish. It works perfectly for her. Though I do not advice her to use this as she is in her early twenties, because this cream contains a lot of powerful ingredients such as Retinol. Still, she uses it whenever she is running out of Pond’s Beauty White. it does not break her skin neither she feels any sweating with this cream. My mother who has mature skin, loves this cream. She has been using it for so many years. It gives her skin enough moisture. It minimizes the appearance of her wrinkles while smoothing her face (temporarily). The effect of minimization of pores & wrinkles is temporary on my skin & my mother’s skin, it goes away as we discontinue using this cream. But that is true with any cosmetic product. Likes Smooth & fine texture. Brightens & tones complexion. Gives matte finish. Suits every skin type except my extremely problematic skin. Small quantity is required for each application. Smells nice. Provides bit of sun protection too, in case you are not going out. No white cast like Pond’s White Beauty Day Cream. Helps to minimize pore & wrinkle appearance. Dislikes Costly. The cream needs to be used continuously to maintain the positive results. Can give blocked pores to extremely oily & acne prone skin specially during summer. Summary : 5/5 I am giving this cream full points because it actually is a great anti ageing cream. If this cream is used continuously, it really helps to take away age spots & delay appearance of wrinkles or other ageing signs. It keeps skin young & beautiful. Though It won’t help with sagging skin as much, but yes, it helps to smooth down wrinkle & pore appearance. I wish it worked for me, too, without giving any side effects (of blocked pores). Sreeparna recently reviewed Plum Matte Moisturiser, I realized I also have a fabulous product from Plum (that too from the Green Tea range) which deserves appreciation on HOG. I am talking about Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask, which is a clay mask specially formulated for combination, oily & acne prone skin. It also contains Glycolic Acid which is another fabulous ingredient for troubles skin. Plum has different skin care ranges such as Aloe, Green Tea, Chocolate etc. I have tried many products from different ranges but Green Tea Clear Face Mask is my favourite from Plum without second thoughts. About Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask Plum does not use parabenes, pthalates, propylene glycol ,SLS ,DEA, PABA and animal derived ingredients. This fact makes Plum products quite exotic for all those who detest using such chemicals on their skin. Talking about the green tea face mask, it is formulated for acne prone, combination & oily skin which need little more cleansing and soothing action. Green Tea is a powerful anti-oxidant. Clay absorbs extra oil/sebum from skin. Glycolic Acid clears out dead skin. Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask is composed of all these powerful and amazing ingredients. Wait for 30 minutes or until the face mask is dry. Wash off with cold water and pat with a towel. Apply light moisturizer if required. My Current Favorite Night Gel : Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel Packaging The face mask comes in a transparent glass pot with white lid. The pot has Plum’s logo and other important information about the face pack. The glass pot comes in a white coloured outer box containing instructions to use, ingredients, about , price etc. It is advised to be used once a week only. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a clay based face pack. It looks like a fuller earth pack initially. The texture is very smooth and fine. It spreads on face very easily. Also it is easily washable. It has a cooling, refreshing & mild sweet smell. My Experience I have oily & acne prone skin. Clay packs are most suitable for this type of skin. This face pack is great for weekly DIY facials. I get little lazy during winter but summer makes my skin cry for little pampering. This face pack is easy to spread on face due to its fine texture and perfect consistency. It takes 15-20 minutes to completely dry, and then I wash it without much hassle. I am left with smooth and clear face even if I use it after a long period. It starts working from first application. I feel my face more radiant and taut. Pore looks smaller I do not know why, because the pack does not even claim so. It’s a bonus. It is little costly though, but it lasts about 2 months since you are supposed to use it once a week only. I have noticed that after few usages, it tends to get little dry in consistency. I add water or rose water to use it further. But there is no discrepancy in the after effects. Likes Fine & smooth texture. Contains Green Tea & Glycolic Acid. Leaves skin clearer, smoother & matte Pore appears minimized. Calms down skin redness. No allergies/ breakouts. Mild refreshing smell. Devoid of harmful chemicals. Plum doesn ot test on animals. Dislikes Little pricey. Summary : ❤❤❤❤❤ I bet who ever has used this face pack, would be a fan by now. It is a great product for combination, oily & acne prone skin. Visible results from first use. Face looks clearer, smoother & calmer. A must have for troubled skin during summer. Himalaya Herbals is a very affordable and trusted brand. It is a house hold name. It has vast product variety. The products offered are herbal. Be it face, body or hair, for every skin/hair type/condition, Himalaya has great products to offer. Today I am going to review a moisturising face wash, Aloe Vera Face Wash. If you think, you can use little harsh cleanser during winter and follow up with a heavy duty, it’s your call, but I feel, tempering with skin’s natural moisture only hurts it further. Harsh cleansers can deter the pH level of skin calling for trouble. Skin looks dull and rough if it is ripped off it’s natural moisture. Hence I believe in using a moisturising and gentle cleanser during dry days. About Himalaya Herbals Moisturising Aloe Vera Face Wash A soap-free, herbal formulation enriched with natural Vitamin-E that gently cleanses and moisturiser. Unlike soap, your face will not dry and stretched. Cucumber cools and soothes, and Aloe vera tones and softens your skin. Use regularly for clean, freah and glowing soft skin. Price Rs. 60 for 50ml. Packaging It comes in Himalaya signature packaging, i.e. transparent tube with green accents and flip top to disperse the product. This tube packaging is very preferable with cosmetics so that I do not have to dip your fingers into the product or grab a spoon to take it out. the packaging is quite travel friendly since 50ml size is small enough to fit into your handbag or vanity case. Colour, Texture & Smell The face wash is light green coloured to resemble it’s composition of Aloe vera & Cucumbers. The texture of the face wash is creamy and smooth. It smells quite refreshing but little artificial. My Experience I used this face wash during last winter. Also got it this year. Even my SILs use it. The face wash is definitely a must have for winter/dry days. Winter can take out moisture even from an oily skin, while dry skin is already devoid of natural moisture. Hence, winters call for a creamy/moisturising face wash so that the moisture level of your skin is maintained and it stays soft and smooth. Himalaya Aloe Vera Moisturising Face Wash, has a creamy consistency, but it does not mean that you will be left oily, shiny after washing your face. It certainly works as a face wash without stealing off skin’s natural moisture. It is gentle on skin. I quite like the experience of washing my face with this one. It does not deposit any cream/oil on your face. It does it’s job of cleaning the skin very well. It takes away dirt, oil, impurities and light makeup with it. It doesn ot lather much, because of it’s consistency, so it is massaged onto the skin. That way it dissolves all the impurities of the skin leaving it queaky clean. Also there is no soapy/slippery film after washing the face. Skin does not feel stretchy or dry. It does not rip off skin’s natural moisture, but a moisturiser can not be skipped even for my oily skin. A very little product is needed for every application, hence it is quite economical. The only problem with tube packaging is the fact that, it gets very difficult to take the product out once it is about to finish. I start rolling the tube starting from the end of the tube to the opening, and that’s how I disperse the product in it’s last days. Likes Herbal face wash, containing the goodness of Aloe vera and Cucumber, highly moisturising in nature. Contains Vitamin E. Cleans skin very well. Creamy texture. Skin feels fresh and soft. Formulated specially for dry skin, but suits all skin types. Smells nice. Does not dry out skin. Affordable and easily available Dislikes None Summary : 5/5 Non drying, effective in cleansing and affordable face wash for dry skin types. Works great even for oily skin during winter.
