Himalaya Herbals is a very affordable and trusted brand. It is a house hold name. It has vast product variety. The products offered are herbal. Be it face, body or hair, for every skin/hair type/condition, Himalaya has great products to offer. Today I am going to review a moisturising face wash, Aloe Vera Face Wash. If you think, you can use little harsh cleanser during winter and follow up with a heavy duty, it’s your call, but I feel, tempering with skin’s natural moisture only hurts it further. Harsh cleansers can deter the pH level of skin calling for trouble. Skin looks dull and rough if it is ripped off it’s natural moisture. Hence I believe in using a moisturising and gentle cleanser during dry days. About Himalaya Herbals Moisturising Aloe Vera Face Wash A soap-free, herbal formulation enriched with natural Vitamin-E that gently cleanses and moisturiser. Unlike soap, your face will not dry and stretched. Cucumber cools and soothes, and Aloe vera tones and softens your skin. Use regularly for clean, freah and glowing soft skin. Price Rs. 60 for 50ml. Packaging It comes in Himalaya signature packaging, i.e. transparent tube with green accents and flip top to disperse the product. This tube packaging is very preferable with cosmetics so that I do not have to dip your fingers into the product or grab a spoon to take it out. the packaging is quite travel friendly since 50ml size is small enough to fit into your handbag or vanity case. Colour, Texture & Smell The face wash is light green coloured to resemble it’s composition of Aloe vera & Cucumbers. The texture of the face wash is creamy and smooth. It smells quite refreshing but little artificial. My Experience I used this face wash during last winter. Also got it this year. Even my SILs use it. The face wash is definitely a must have for winter/dry days. Winter can take out moisture even from an oily skin, while dry skin is already devoid of natural moisture. Hence, winters call for a creamy/moisturising face wash so that the moisture level of your skin is maintained and it stays soft and smooth. Himalaya Aloe Vera Moisturising Face Wash, has a creamy consistency, but it does not mean that you will be left oily, shiny after washing your face. It certainly works as a face wash without stealing off skin’s natural moisture. It is gentle on skin. I quite like the experience of washing my face with this one. It does not deposit any cream/oil on your face. It does it’s job of cleaning the skin very well. It takes away dirt, oil, impurities and light makeup with it. It doesn ot lather much, because of it’s consistency, so it is massaged onto the skin. That way it dissolves all the impurities of the skin leaving it queaky clean. Also there is no soapy/slippery film after washing the face. Skin does not feel stretchy or dry. It does not rip off skin’s natural moisture, but a moisturiser can not be skipped even for my oily skin. A very little product is needed for every application, hence it is quite economical. The only problem with tube packaging is the fact that, it gets very difficult to take the product out once it is about to finish. I start rolling the tube starting from the end of the tube to the opening, and that’s how I disperse the product in it’s last days. Likes Herbal face wash, containing the goodness of Aloe vera and Cucumber, highly moisturising in nature. Contains Vitamin E. Cleans skin very well. Creamy texture. Skin feels fresh and soft. Formulated specially for dry skin, but suits all skin types. Smells nice. Does not dry out skin. Affordable and easily available Dislikes None Summary : 5/5 Non drying, effective in cleansing and affordable face wash for dry skin types. Works great even for oily skin during winter. For people like me who have oily and acne-prone skin, this step is vital to keep the facial pores clear all the time. This way a major part of lingering acne problem can be solved. I generally put my faith on strong acne face washes for this purpose but they tend to make my skin flaky dry in winter. So, this year I decided to give Lotus Herbals JOJOBAWASH Active Milli Capsules Nourishing Face Wash a try. I will be presenting my experience of the same to you today. In the opening of the tube, there sits a yellow flip-top cap that also has a screw-open facility. This kind of dual open cap is very convenient when it comes to Lotus Herbals face washes as most of them have a tendency to dispense excess product through the opening of the flip-top cap. Colour, Texture & Smell This face wash is basically a transparent and colourless liquid which has some sparsely distributed cleansing beads called ‘Milli Capsules’ suspended in it. Colour wise they are blue, yellow and light greyish blue. When I massage the cleanser in my face they get smashed. These Milli capsules provide extra nourishment to the skin. It has mild floral fragrance. The smell is not at all overpowering and lingers for only 10-15 minutes after application. Suitability In my opinion, this is a great winter face cleanser for all skin types. Although it is not a foaming cleanser it produces enough lather to cleanse my face well in the winter when the sebum secretion is less. But I do not think this product would be enough to cleanse my extremely oily face in the summer time. My Views At first, I was sceptical of using only this cleanser as my existing acne face wash was able to clear the breakouts to some extent. So, I started to use it as my night time facial wash. I followed it up with a non-comedogenic moisturiser. For the first 2-3 days everything looked the same about my face. I felt the dryness was a little less than before. I could see no aggravation in my existing pimples. After that, I decided to take a chance. I stopped my acne face wash totally and carried on with this twice a day. For the next 2 weeks, I relied upon only this cleanser and moisturiser. I applied nothing else to my face in the time span, not even my favourite sunscreen or BB cream. I could notice a subtle glow in my skin after 1 week of continuous usage. It hydrated my skin well and soothed the dry zones of my face. I did not experience any new breakout, though, the existing zits were healing at their own pace and the acne marks remained same too. I do not consider it a con because the product does not claim any such things. It claims to cleanse and nourish the skin that it certainly does. Likes Herbal formula. Nourishes my skin. Gives my face a subtle glow. Pocket friendly. Cleanses well. Full ingredient list is mentioned. For all skin types. Travel friendly packaging. Dislikes Not free from sulphates and parabens Summary: 4.5/5 I would recommend this budget friendly face wash to everyone who wants a mild herbal face cleanser for soft and supple skin.
