I feel a mascara is an amazing invention. Just this one product can make your eyes talking. Most of the women would choose a mascara if they are asked to choose one makeup product they cannot survive without. Even if you have naturally thick eyelashes you still love the dramatic effect a mascara gives to your eyes. That’s what I use a mascara for. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara is from my birthday haul. My Maybelline Volume Express Falsies Washable was getting over and I was thinking to get a water proof mascara this time, but my fickle mind. I again settled for a washable one. But I do not regret getting another washable mascara because I kind of find it a nuisance to get rid of wash proof mascaras without loosing some of my lashes in the process. I like to dress up specially in this festive occasion and this beautiful tube of mascara accompanies me every single time. Does that give you an idea how much I have been liking it? So let me make you walk through the more details of Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara in Extreme Black. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara creates the magic you seek. It is a lash multiplying & hence volume enhancing mascara. The non clumpy Extreme Volume formula creates extreme volume for those dramatic pair of eyes. It gives a lift to the lashes & curves them perfectly. Eyes look brighter, wider & more seductive. Price & Availability It does not just mean Sumptuous but it is expensive for a mascara… We can’t complain since it’s from Estee Lauder. In Indian market it is available anywhere between 2000-2500 INR for 2.8 ml. You can find it our Nykaa as well as some international shopping websites such as Strawberry. Offline it is available at the Estee Lauder counters. Packaging The piece I have got comes in a conventional black tube with a beautiful gold long cap cum applicator. Estee Lauder logo, mascara name, and other details are printed over the black tube in gold. It gives the tube a very luxe feeling. The tube is really small you can hide it in the palm of your hand. The applicator brush of the mascara if coarse and literally gives a nice combing effect to lashes while coating them effectively. Shades 01 Extreme Black 02 Brown I got Extreme Black which is utterly black and shows on eye lashes very beautifully. My Experience With Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara A black mascara is like a basic necessity. If you use one, then only you realize what difference it can make instantly to your eyes. You an skip kajal if you are using mascara as kajal. I am sure Indians have craze for kajal too but no one can deny the importance of a mascara we have in our life.. errr.. on eyes. Coming to Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara, it is nicely pigmented. Has great non clumping formula which coats eye lashes beautifully & effortlessly. Even though I have small eyes, but my lashes are naturally curved and hence it works perfectly in shaping them more curvy while enhancing the volume. I also like the fact that the formula does not chip off after wearing it for hours. It can last all day long if I do not wash my face. It is easy to take off the mascara. A normal face wash can take it off completely. But I would suggest to rather dissolve it using almond oil or oil based makeup remover to prevent drying off the eye area. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara in Extreme Black is a luxurious way to treat your eye lashes. It lifts eye lashes while giving nice volume. The non clumpy formula is quick dry too. The luxe packaging catches your eyes but will surely burn a hole a in your pocket. That was all about this beautiful mascara from Estee LAuder. There is one more thing that I like from Estee Lauder, it’s Double Wear Foundation which is another popular product from the brand. I love to pick colored eye pencils and these are my first from the brand. Kiko Milano is an Italian cosmetic brand which offers affordable makeup & skincare. I am sure you must be already a fan of the brand. It is easily available in most of the metro cities of India. I picked some makeup stuff from Kiko Milano back in August as my birthday haul. I have been using them since then on & off whenever I feel like. It’s been a while that I reviewed some makeup here, so let’s go ahead with this pair of eye pencils and color some thing good. It is quite subtle but can make a difference to the look. It has very minute shimmer particles which creates nice eye looks. Works great to brighten up the inner corners of eyes. 10 Matte Indigo : It is a bight but matte indigo shade which really looks gorgeous on eyes. It can be worn over waterline as well as over lash line. Works great to pop out eyes. Texture & Fragrance The texture of the pencils is creamy and glides smoothly over water line & lash line. I like the fact that unlike other creamy eye pencils, these beauties do not break while application. They sharp easily without much wastage. I am really happy with the quality of the product. These pencils have just the right amount of creaminess & smoothness. The pencils have mild artificial smell but it does not bother at all. Pigmentation If you have well prep-ed & matte eye area these pencils bring out really beautiful color. But if your eye area is bit oily, then at least no 10 won’t show up that bright as I have experienced. No 03, still works great. Make sure to prime or at least powder your eye area well if you have been wearing some eye cream. Or you can opt for a quick absorbing, non greasy eye cream. Longevity Matte Indigo i.e. No 10 being a matte & bright shade stays for longer time over eyes as compared to No 03. Pearly Gold Sand is a subtle shade and it stays over eyes for about 2-3 hours only. Later it will fade away. The bolder shade stays for 4-5 hours. Do I Recommend Kiko Milano Smart Colour Eye Pencil? If you are budget and like to experiment with colored eye makeup, I would suggest to grab few shades. Bright shades in general works better than their subtle counter part. Pick accordingly. Also make sure to prep your eye area well to bring out the true color of the eye pencils. I am not going to buy more shades from the range since I am actually loving Kiko Milano Intense Colour Long Lasting Eye Liner range more, which I shall be reviewing very soon here. Kiko Milano Smart Color Eye Pencil is budget friendly, has wide range of (16) shades & creamy texture and comes in sleek packaging. Kajal lovers, here is another beautiful piece coming right your way. I got Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal as a free gift with Lakme Primer +Matte Lipsticks. I have been using it on and off since I am still hooked on Plum Angel Eyes Kajal. But I like it for the performance & the texture it offers. It’s black technically, but I feel it’s not pure black or jet black that you really want your kajal to be. At least on my waterline, it goes bit of grey, & let me tell you, I love it. I have loads of kajals/kohls that are jet black, so having a grey colored kajal is total fun. Actually jet black kajals can be too harsh for my skin tone sometimes, hence, going for a brown (I lost Rimmel Scandalous Eyes in Brown 🙁 )or grey is very nice option for every day look. Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal Lakme presents the blackest of black kajal Ebony Black in twist up retractable form which gives intense color pay off. The sharp design gives a nice hold of the pencil for precise application. The kajal goes smudge proof for long hours on your eyes. Price Rs. 750 0.35g. Buy here. Packaging It comes in an all black retractable stick form. This kind of packaging is very handy since I do not require to sharp the product every now or then which mostly results in wasting the product. There is a matte black band from where you can hold the pencil and apply it to give without any slip. The tip of the pencil does not stay in shape, but I can still manage it, since I do not wear a winged eyeliner with it. Shade – Ebony Black This is supposed to be the blackest back shade. On my hand it is the blackest black, with perfect color pay off, but somehow, my water line is not able to receive that much intensity. Good for me. It mostly looks matte grey, a dark matte grey. Nice color I tell you. Fragrance & Texture It is creamy in texture but not ultra creamy that it would break off, plus point for that. So no pressure is required to apply the kajal on my water line, or on my lash line. I hardly wear liner on my lash line since I have small deep set eyes, hence I just line my eyes with this kajal. It goes perfectly smooth every where. No irritation ever noticed. It won’t smudge on it’s own until you want it too using a smudger or something. It has quick dry formula, hence you need to be quick to smudge it intentionally. It does not have any kind of fragrance. Pigmentation It is intense in pigmentation no doubt. As you can see on my hand, it gives a nice black shade. On my water line, single swipe gives nice dark & matte grey color. 2-3 swipe intensify the color, but never wash out my wheatish complexion. Finish It sets into matte finish. This beauty can not give you shiny eyes & it’s not sorry for that. The formula is quick dry hence, sets very soon. Longevity It stays put for nice 6-7 hours, the maximum I have worn it till the day. It does not smudge as such but if rubbed with water it can come off in layers, weird huh? Likes Nice creamy texture. glides on eyes very smoothly. Nice color payoff. Does not smudge, Stays put for 6-7 hours. Does not irritate eyes. Convenient packaging. Quick dry formula gives matte finish. Dislikes Bit pricey for a kajal. Not entirely water proof. Black Ebony surprisingly does not go jet black on my water line. It rather stays dark grey, not a con for me. Summary : 4.5/5 Lakme Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal, offers smooth texture, quick dry formula, intense color & smudge proof long stay. It is bit pricey but worth every penny. Hope you liked the review. At one end there is a pointy color pigment (kohl) while at the other end, a nice smudger is fixed. The kohl end is covered with an opaque white cap while the smudger end is covered with a transparent plastic cap. The pencil is easy to carry & convenient to use. Plum logo and some information regarding the kajal has been printed in purple color. There is a black band just before the smudger end to indicate the color of the kajal. I actually got the Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal in a combo offer with Plum Nature Studio All day Wear Kohl Kajal, hence got a sharpner as well as nice compact mirror with the deal from amazon. That deal is over now but, another deal is still running on Amazon. It offers a free bag & a sharpner with the kajals. Shade – True Black The color is beautiful black. It’s not matte but does not ultra glossy. Once smudged, the shine goes away. Fragrance & Texture As such, while applying the kajal, I do not smell anything out of it. Only if I really hard to smell the pencil, then there is a very faint sweet smell. it’s very mild. Texture wise, it is very smooth despite of not being ultra creamy. I actually like the fact that it is not ultra creamy since, the ultra creamy ones keep on breaking off every now and then. It does not break off and still glides on my water line & lash line very easily without hurting my eyes. Pigmentation It is a highly pigmented kajal. I really like the intense color pay off it gives. One swipe makes the difference. 2 swipes & that’s all you will ever want. Dislikes It has to be sharpen. Summary: 5/5 Totally heart Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal. I love the smooth texture, the intense color pay off , the price & the smudger attached at the end. Hi Girls, up for another colored eye pencil? This one is Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Teal. Teal is a very wearable color specially on eyes. A true Teal shade looks amazing no matter how you wear it. I got this teal liner with Lotus Herbals Colorkick Kajal in Royal Blue & Mystic Green. Blue is an eccentric shade for eyes, but teal is mesmerizing. Faces offer this smudge proof, water proof & highly pigmented liner in 7 shades. The formula is soft, long wearing and free of paraffin & preservatives. The liner is tested Dermatoligiaclly & Ophthalmologically. Price Rs. 449 for 1.2gm. Buy here. Packaging It is a sharpable black pencil with teal colored cap & band at the bottom making it easy to distinguish between a pile of pencils. The features of the pencil are mentioned on the pencil, like It is smudge proof, water proof & stays for long on eyes. No sharpner is shipped with the pencil. The packaging is convenient if I ignore the sharpening effort. It is easily portable hence travel friendly. Fragrance & Texture It is a creamy & smooth gliding eye pencil. Goes on lash line & water line effortlessly, leaving behind a beautiful color, no tugging is required. As such no fragrance, but if I sniff the pencil tip there is some waxy smell, which is very mild. To have a perfect winged liner out of this, you need to sharpen it every time, because of it’s creamy texture it tends to loose it’s tip. Shades Faces brings 7 quirky shades of Long Wear Eye Pencil for you. Persian Blue, Electric, Smog, Teal, Plum, Olive, Smoke. Shade – Teal This is a bright Teal shade with bit of greenish hint & shin to it, which makes it hard to miss. It is a nice shade, but make sure you put on some concealer if you have dark eye lid or dark circles around your eyes to bring out the true beauty of this color. Pigmentation One swipe gives nice color pay off, and you can go on building more color by re-swiping the pencil without feeling sticky or flaky. This feature makes it a quality product. Longevity It is a smudge proof & water proof eye pencil as I have observed. It needs bit time to settle on my water line & then it stays intact for 5-6 hours, after which it starts loosing it’s intensity. On my lash line, it stays good for about 7-8 hours, as I have tested in the Delhi heat. That is commendable. To get rid of the color, I massage with baby oil around my eyes. Finish This is a bright shade & has a bit of shimmer which gives a vibrant finish. The shade really pops out eyes. It can also be doubled up as an eye shadow, as I was told by the SA. I have tried the same, & it definitely is doable. Likes Smooth & Creamy textured Eye pencil. Nice color pay off in single stroke. Does not smudge, flake or feel sticky. Water proof. Can be used on water line as well. Doubles up as eye shadow. Stays for about 7-8 hours on lash line while works perfectly for about 5-6 hours on water line. Does not irritate eyes. Travel friendly. Paraffin & preservative free. Dislikes Price is definitely on higher side if you buy it from some offline store. But it is available online on discount. Needs to be sharpened very frequently since to maintain it’s tip. I find sharpening very cumbersome. Summary : 4.5/5 Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Teal works as a kajal, liner & eye shadow. It is a bright & refreshing shade. The eye pencil is long wearing since it is smudge proof & water proof. The color pay off is also very good. If you do not like to go dramatic with eye makeup, simply a colored liner/kajal can do everything on it’s own. Let’s jump on to the details of 2 colored kajals from Lotus Herabls Make Up. About Lotus Herbals Make Up ColorKick Kajal Lotus Herbals bring a new range of colored kajals which are high in pigmentation, smudge free & stays for 8 long hours on your eyes. The smooth gliding formula, enriched with botanical extracts of Almond Oil, gives nice color pay off in single swipe. The kajal does not flake or smudge. The kajal is waterproof too. Price Rs. 249 for 0.28gm. Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Not mentioned. Packaging The colored kajal in a hot pink colored retractable pencil stick form. The kajal is very slim. Lotus Herbals Make-Up Colorkick is printed on the kajal stick along with the features of the kajal. Every stick has a colored band at the bottom to represent the color of the kajal, like Mystic Green kajal has a green band while Royal Blue has a blue band at the bottom of the stick. The shade name is not printed anywhere on the stick, but only on the outer carton. Lotus Herbals Make Up ColorKick Kajal – Shades Black, Royal Blue, Mystic Green. Fragrance & Texture There is practically no smell out of the kajal sticks. The texture of the kajal is creamy. The creamy texture makes the kajal soft and prone to breakage if used with pressure. Lotus Kajal in Royal Blue is a true Royal Blue shade, if you ask me. It’s a beautiful shade to flatter any eye color or complexion. Lotus Herbals Make Up ColorKick Kajal – Mystic Green As the name suggests this is a Forest Green color. The color is bit shiny if looked closely. Since it is a light color, it needs a lot of swipes to bring out desired colored on water line. While over lash line, it still needs more swipes than the Royal Blue shade. Pigmentation As I talked above, Royal Blue shade gives nice color pay off than Mystic Green. The reason is obvious, Mystic Green is a light shade while Royal Blue is a dark shade. While swiping Mystic Green on my water line, I break off the tip of the kajal many times, in case I apply little bit pressure to get desired color in lesser strokes. While Royal Blue shade gives nice color in 2-3 strokes only. To get a nice color pay off & finish, I suggest you to use a primer &/or concealer around your eyes. Finish The shades have bit of shine to them, but they look quite matte on eyes. I also like the fact that they do not feel sticky as come of the colored kajals do. Longevity I am really impressed with the staying power of the shades. Once set, they stay put on my eyes for about 7-8 hours. Be it my water line, which are very watery. The kajals are waterproof & they stay intact on my waterline as well as on my lash line, until I take them off at the end of the day. Likes Creamy texture. Does not flake or smudge. Stays upto 7-8 hours intact. Waterproof. Achieve multiple looks with colored kajals. Royal blue looks ecstatic on eyes. Does not feel sticky on eyes. Does not irritate eyes. Affordable & easily available. Easy to use & store. Travel friendly. Dislikes The brand should come up with more shades. Mystic Green being a light shade, needs to be swiped multiple times to get the desired color on water line. The sticks have a tendency to break off if not handled carefully. Summary The colored kajals have a nice staying power & are waterproof too, which makes them great pick if you are going outdoor for a long time. Being affordable they won’t hurt your pocket too. Above all, with these colored kajals you can perk up your everyday look. I just wish the brand comes with more shades. Hi, How are you darling? Sunday huh? Big plans? Nice. My all days are alike routine wise but yes Sunday is special because all the family members are together at home, eating, laughing & enjoying. Sunday is the one day that looks like we live life, otherwise it’s always like a dog chasing it’s own tail. So many commitments, so many achievements, yet so many dreams to run after, & just one day to refresh your mind for another sprint. Uff… Zindagi…!!! I mostly bought eye makeup including colored liners & kajals. After all, how many black kajals one can own? It’s better to try out some colored liners. My eyes really do well with colored liners. My current favorite Lakme CC Cream is going to get finished, in order to try out a new product, I bought Faces CC Cream which I was eyeing even before buying Lakme CC Cream. I just want to jump on to reviewing the colored sticks, but that would be unfair to already in line for review products. This makeup will have to wait for some time. Essence is a lovable brand I have used many lipsticks & eye shadows from the brand. I like the quality and pricing of the brand. Let’s go ahead with the review of I ❤ Extreme Volume Mascara, for your eyes only – pun intended 🙂 Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara contains ultra black pigments covering each lash color intensive and a large brush for stunning volume. Mascara for Extreme Volume Ultra Black Opthalmologically tested. Price Rs. 349 for 12ml. Buy here. Packaging I love Extreme Volume Mascara is packaged in a chubby black plastic tube with a black wand screwed-in at the top. I ❤ Extreme Volume Mascara is printed in bright pink fancy font while few lines about the mascara are printed horizontally along the tube. The packaging appeals to me. The applicator provided with the mascara is quite dense & has criss-cross bristles (as they say in any toothbrush ad). That is how Essence plans to deliver volume to eye lashes coating every single lash with rich pigmentation. My Experience The pigmentation of the mascara is decent. Although it is a black mascara, but when I swatched it on my hand the color looked more of kind of black and not super black. But as long as it works in lengthening & Curling my eye lashes I do not have any issues with the color of the mascara. Also full throttle black colored mascaras give you very dramatic eyes which does not suit to everyday look. Coming on the effects of the mascara, I like that it does a wonderful job in giving curl & little more volume to my eye lashes. It won’t give you falsies effect, but will give you a totally awake look. This is not a water proof mascara, so ladies do not wear it on rainy days or during swimming. The mascara can give you racoon eyes if you splash water on your eyes. The mascara does not require much efforts to get off the eyelashes, because it’s not a washproof version. I personally do not like to use water resistant mascara until it’s a must. I feel it is one affordable & affordable mascara like Maybelline Falsies one for your everyday mascara needs. Likes Gives nice curl & volume. Comes with nice applicator. Attractive packaging. Quick dry formula. Does not clump much. Good for every day purpose. Easy on pocket. Does not irritate eyes. Dislikes Not washproof. No ingredient list is provided. Concluding the post, Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara, is an everyday budget friendly mascara to give nice lift & volume to eyelashes. The mascara packaging is easy on eyes & the applicator is a nice one with dense bristles packed in a criss-cross pattern. The mascara is not washproof. VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal : Swatches & Review

Hi, Today I am going to talk about VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal in Black. Frankly, I do not buy much products from VLCC due to a very bad experience that I had few years ago. I bought VLCC Fruit Facial Kit which left me with horrible cystic acne which took months to clear out. After that horrendous experience, I never really bought any skin care product from VLCC. Few weeks back, my eyes, really stuck on the kajal form VLCC. I was like, okay, it’s not a skin care product, I can try it out, since I have already tested so many kajals from other brands like Lakme, Lotus, Loreal, Maybelline, Soiul tree, Faces etc. To put it’s review here on HOG, I bought it. Let me tell you what I feel about this kajal stick, which is affordable, easily available & usable to start with. About VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal VLCC promises, what you expect from a decent kajal. Intense black, smudge free, water proff & dermatoligically tested formula. You can acheive your daily look with this kajal or can go winged eyeliner or smokey eyes with few strokes of this black beauty. Price Rs. 199 for 0.3g. Buy here. Ingredients Packaging It comes enclosed in an very informative packaging. The outer packaging disguises of a girl with beautiful big eyes layered with eyeshadows & flaunting bold lips. At the back of the outer packaging, multiple eye looks have been printed which could be achieved using VLCC Enchanting Eyes. Ingredient list of the kajal is also provided at the back. The kajal comes in a retractable pencil form, so it is very easy to use & I think is quite practical packaging for a kajal. The kajal pencil is black colored with black long cap on it. VLCC Enchanting Eyes is printed on the kajal pencil. Texture & Smell The texture of the kajal is very smooth, so smooth that I have to be very careful while using it to avoid any breakage. I actually broke it’s tip, the very first time I used this kajal. After that I have been very careful. The kajal tip was pointed when I bought it, but kajal sticks does not stay very pointy when you use them. I can not really draw a winged eyeliner with this, but it delivers smooth application to my water line. The kajal is devoid of any kind of smell. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the kajal is very nice. One swipe gives very good color pay off. There is practically no tugging or pressure is required to achieve heavily kohl-ed eyes. I tried smudging it to test it’s smudge proof claim. I was able to smudge it initially but on my eyes it stayed intact when I follow these steps to apply kajal. Finish The finish of the kajal is matte & intense. It provides jet black color to eyes. I also line my upper lid with this kajal & it works perfectly. I have tried to achieve the smokey eye look too with this kajal, it was okay in that department. One must be swift to achieve the smokey look with this kajal. Though it fails to deliver nice winged lines, sine it lacks a pointed tip. Longevity Whenever I know I need it too stay for an entire day, I follow proper steps to wear a kajal. Those days, the jakahl stays intact and does not go anywhere, otherwise, it stays for 4-5 hours before started getting to deposit under my eyes which intensifies my dark circles. Likes Nice creamy formula. Gives smooth application. Intense color pay off. Jet black color. Stays for long on water line. No allergies noticed. Dislike The tip does not stay pointy once used. Summary: 4.5/5 VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal is a decent buy as it delivers nice black colour at affordable price which stays for long hours. The creamy formula ensures smooth application. A thin strip of coloured eyeliner is able to change the complete makeup-look in a jiffy. That is why, a catchy shade of coloured eyeliner would be my first choice for those lazy days when I am not in the mood of apply ample amount of makeup. Among all the colours we generally see in coloured eyeliners, brown is the most subtle shade. If I don’t want too much attention to my eyes, I go for the brown ones. Though I am more of a pencil-liner person, you will find a few liquid liners as well. Today’s review is about one such item, the Color Pop Liner from Elle 18 in Brown. Do you want to know how it fares on me? Keep reading. About Elle 18 Color Pop Liner Eye Go Vivid Tired of being plain-Jane black? Then it’s time add drama to your eyes with the Elle 18 Color Pop Liner. Get super defined eyes in just a single fluid stroke. Price Rs.85 for 5ml. Buy here. Ingredients Not Mentioned Packaging The Color Pop liner comes in a thick and transparent glass bottle with a black plastic screw-open lid. A fine liner applicator is attached to the lid of the bulbous liner bottle. The bottle bears the name of the product and company logo whereas the lid contains a depiction of a pink haired cartoon-girl. Overall, the package is quite travel-friendly, leak-proof and trendy-looking. Perfect for the college and office going girls I must say. I don’t know why, but for majority of the affordable makeup brands, nailpaint and liquid eyeliner bottles are look-alike. Elle 18 is not an exception in this matter. I have a golden glittery nailpaint from them that looks very similar to this eye liner. Texture & Smell The formula of this coloured eyeliner is liquid. The consistency is not watery; it is denser than that. It never drips off of the brush. The texture of the liner makes it easy to apply without creating mess. This kind of formula is quite desirable to me for liquid eyeliners. Pigmentation Pigmentation is very good when it comes to this particular product from Elle 18. The exact colour shows in my eyes in one stroke itself. However, it I want to darken further I do one more coat. I never needed to go over 2 coats. Variants Black, Brown, Blue, Green, Gray. Shade- Brown The shade Brown is basically a glittery golden brown. The golden tinge to it makes it appear bronzy. This is a great shade for Indian complexions. Finish This Color Pop eyeliner gives glittery finish. The shimmer is not too over-the-top because the glitter particles are very finely dusted. You can actually use it for daytime, colleges and workplaces without any hitches to look extremely made-up. Longevity It stays put for 5-6 hours in cool weather. However, in humid summer the staying power is limited to 3-5 hours if you have oily eyelids. It is not waterproof. If you splash water over it and then rub vigorously, it comes off. If you are not sweating profusely, the product will remain smudge-proof. My Experience To be frank, I am not at all good at liquid or gel eyeliners. I am still learning to do fine lines close to my upper lash-line. Kajals, specially the retractable ones are my thing because their firm tips give far better idea to ‘how close am I’ to my lash-line. I got this eyeliner to practice my hands at liquid eyeliners. You may ask ‘why is that?’ or ‘why not any basic black liner?’ Well, the answer is, to my spectacle-d eyes it is very difficult to identify the minute mistakes I make with a golden-brown liner than any other coloured liners. Brown is closest shade to my skin tone than grey, green, blue or black. Quite a hack, isn’t it! Coming to my experience, I often use it for lining my upper lids if I am opting for minimal makeup looks or daytime looks. If I want more drama, I line my eyes with it in a very thickly and then go over it with basic black liner to draw a thin line. It takes just a minute to dry down. Then it becomes smudge proof. The main con of this product is that, it is not water proof though it claims to be. But, when you shed only 85 bucks for a glitter-eyeliner you must not regret if it’s not waterproof. I am actually happy that the colour-payoff is good. The best way to remove this eye liner is to use a cream based cleansing-milk. I first apply the cleanser over the liner and wait for 15-20 seconds before rubbing it off with a soft cotton pad.
