Hey Girls, ready for a lipstick review? I got SeaSoul Moisture Matte Lead Free Lipstick ML 12. I got this lipstick in my September Fab Bag and is also my first lipstick from the brand. I have got Seasoul HD CC Cream but it’s bit dark for my skin tone. Hence lying unused. Coming back to the lipstick. It’s a very pretty peach/coral shade. It is a nice coral shade for Indian skin tones. It is a moisture rich lipstick which gives semi matte finish. I think I just gave an overview of the lipstick already. Interested in details? Follow Me… SeaSoul Moisture Matte Lead Free Lipstick SeaSoul Moisture Matte Lipstick is an everyday use lipstick which is lead free. It is a perfect combination of Color & Care. The lipstick is infused with Vitamin E to hydrate & protect lips. Using a lead free lipstick everyday makes sure you sure that you are not risking your health. Why You Should Use A Lead Free Lipstick? Lead is very harmful for our health. When you use a lipstick everyday for continuous hours which contains lead (most of them do unless stated otherwise), you actually are inhaling and licking some of lead whenever you eat or sip something. Using a lead based for a prolong period you can accumulate some lead in your body which could pose health risks. Price Rs. 450 . Available at Seasoul & Nykaa as well as other leading shopping websites. Packaging I am not much impressed by the flimsy packaging of the lipstick. It comes in a matte black, hourglass shaped, case with Seasoul written over it. It’s quite boring. The shade number is printed at the bottom of the lipstick. Ingredients Isononyl Isononanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride,Cera Microcristallina,Candelilla Cera, Hydroxy Stearic Linolenic, PCA, Nylon-12,Propylparaben, BHT,Tocopheryl Acetate, Cety Lactate(may contain): Red 30 CI 73360,Red 21 Lake CI 45380,Bismuth Oxychloride CI 77163, Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77491, CI77499,CI77492, Red 7 Lake CI 45410, Yellow 5 Lake CI 19140, Red 27Lake, Red 28 Lake CI 45410, Red 36 CI 12085, Carmine CI 75470. Shades Available There are 15 shades in this range and they are named from ML 01 to ML 15. I really hate when some brands give these numbers to shades instead of some descriptive names. It’s hard to remember the shade number or figure out a desirable shade. Shade – ML 12 It is peachy-coral shade. It gives just the right amount of peachiness to my lips. Even though my skin tone does not agree with the shade, but I just can’t get enough of this color. I wear it almost everyday. But the shade can turn bit patchy if applied more than required. Or can wash out medium to dusky skin tones. Fragrance & Texture It is moisture rich lipstick. It glides nicely on lips. It does not dry out lips or settle into fine lines. It smells nice and mild. It contains Vitamin E which nicely hydrates and protects lips. Pigmentation The pigmentation of this lipstick is good. One swipe gives nice color to my lips. It actually brings a nice Peach shade. To get a coral shade, I swipe the lipstick across my lipstick again. Finish The finish of the lipstick is semi matte for the initial hour. But later it becomes complete matte. I sometimes blot it off with a napkin when I really need to flaunt a matte look. Longevity The lipstick transfers a bit in the initial hour of the application because it has some moisture in its texture. But it can survive mini meals and few sips. Altogether, it stays on lops for 3-4 hours and leaves a pink tint behind. Summary No doubt, I would like to use a lead free lipstick everyday. This particular shade is also nice. I might consider other shades from the range. I like the fact that it does not dry out my lips rather hydrates them very well. What I do not like about the lipstick is the flimsy packaging. I am also not impressed by the staying power it offers. Being Lead Free is the only unique feature it offers. If you are into natural makeup, you can opt for this range. The shade range is nice too. Hi, Coral shades are like my weakness, specially in lip colors. With my June Fab Bag, I had an option to choose my makeup product. I was presented with a list of Johara Creme Rich Lip Colors, I had to choose my shade. Most of them looked deep shades, while I wanted something bright & bold. I picked up Poppy Coral. After receiving it in my recent fab bag, as I opened the cap of the lip color, I was bit disappointed, why? You will come to know in a while. Johara Creme Rich Lip Color Johara presents high in moisture lipsticks that are Parabens free, Lanoline free, Mineral Oil free & Nano-ingredient free. This rich lip color has rare Ricin Oil & Vitamin E to hydrate & nourish your lips. The lip color comes in 12 dazzling shades to suit your work place and party mood. Price Rs. 395 for 4.5g. Ingredients Johara Creme Rich Lip Color – Shades This lip color comes in 12 shades as listed below: Cranberry, Cherry Red, Cocoa Delight, Grape Wine, Mahogany, Pink Flash, Pink Petals, Poppy Coral, Princess, Saucy Red, Sunny Squash, Tempting Fudge. Most of the shades are deep. While Summer Trends 2017 calls for bright & bold shades. Packaging The lipstick comes inside a black card box. This is a signature packaging from Johara. It looks classy. The actual lip color is packed inside a silver bullet with gold interior. The bullet looks very pretty as you open the cap. You will find shade name at the bottom of the bullet. All other is information including ingredients, price etc is printed over the outer packaging. The packaging is sturdy & travel friendly. Fragrance & Texture I hardly notice any scent from lipsticks, but this is a highly scented lip color from Johara. It smells chocolaty sweet. Though I don’t taste anything weird on my lips after wearing it. Even after wearing for half an hour, I can feel a fainted chocolate smell. Since the smell is pleasant, I don’t mind it. This is a rich in moisture lip color, hence it glides very smoothly on my lips. I do not need to use a lip balm underneath this lipstick. The texture makes it give a satin smooth finish to my lips. I can blot the shine off my lips when I do not want it. Due to creamy nature of the bullet, it can’t stand heat much. Also I try not to apply much pressure otherwise it leaves behind little chunks. Shade – Coral Poppy If you have seen Poppy Coral flower, it is pretty coral in color. I mistook the shade name and thought this shade is going to be a coral one. It is nothing coral. It is a deep peach-brown shade. A shade which looks dupe of Nykaa PaintStix Peaches n Cream. It is an everyday shade which is going to suit every skin tone-. But it’s not coral which is heartbreaking. It leaves behind a peachy-pink tint. Pigmentation Pigmentation of the lip color is decent. Two swipes gives nice color pay off. I never really use one swipe of anything. It just does not give me satisfaction. The lipstick does not look patchy at all. The color is evenly distributed. Longevity It is a moisturizing lipstick, hence it transfers a lot in the first hour of application. It can’t survive meals, you would loose it completely or at least from the center of your lips a very dreadful look that is. If you are not having meals then also it won’t survive more than 3 hours without touch ups. Likes Creamy texture. Enriched with Ricin Oil & Vitamin E. Hydrates lips & does not accentuate fine lines. Gives satin smooth finish finish. Nice sturdy packaging. Has a nice fragrance. Poppy Coral is a shade suitable for all skin types. Free of parabenes, Lanoline, Mineral Oil & Nano-ingredient. Dislikes Misleading name. Can not survive meals. Staying power is low. Summary : 4/5 Highly moisturizing lipsticks have a tendency to transfer easily hence does not stay on lips for long. This lipstick is not a must have, but it is okay in terms of pigmentation. If you do not mind frequent touch ups, you can go for much better shades in the range. Johara is a new brand to me, I have not used much products from this brand apart form Johara nail paint which again I received in Fab Bag. But it looks promising to me. Since everyone is so raving about these budget-friendly small little crayon lipsticks, I too hunted them down. I found the colors a little repetitive, hence I did not buy them all and rather bought few bold shades. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon is the newest range from Lakme, which made us, the bloggers, go smitten over these literally-crayon-looking lipsticks under 200 bucks. Click here Today I am going to review & swatch Candid Coral from Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon range for you. I could have swatched & reviewed them all in one post, but I am a bit short on time & I won’t be able to enjoy it while doing it. Hence I chose the best shade (according to me) from the range. Coral Candid is one of the best coral lipstick for Indian skin tone which I have come across. It has many hues to it, hence it will delight you at many levels. I shall talk about this feature of the shade in detail later. Let’s start with the basics. About Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Lakme presents a range of crayon lipsticks to give you a smooth & matte finish over your lips in vibrant colors. The Lip Crayons are enriched with mineral powders, Olive Oil & Jojoba Oil to moisturize your lips simultaneously. The lip crayons come in 10 vibrant shades so that you can dazzle at every occasion. Price Rs. 185 for 2.2g. Buy at Amazon. Ingredients No ingredient list is provided. Packaging The lip crayon literally looks like a colored crayon that we used to use in our school time. I have used a lot of crayon lipsticks from different brands, but Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon literally depicts being a crayon in packaging. Lipstick range i.e.” Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon” and shade name “03 Candid Coral” is printed on the lip crayon along with some manufacturing information. The crayon has a black cap over its mouth. The packaging is kind of flimsy, according to me. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shades Lakme has followed the bold lip trend of the year 2017, hence presented 10 bold shades in the range. So pick one or all of them to suit your mood every single day. Baby Pink, Berry Red, Blushing Pink, Coral Candid, Cinnamon Brown, Mauve Magic, Peach Magnet, Pink Burst, Red Stop, Shocking Pink. Reviewed & Swatched: 7 Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shades Shade Description – Coral Candid This is my most favorite from the Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon range. As I mentioned earlier, the shade has many hues. That is the reason despite being coral it will suit every skin tone. The shade has Peach undertones & outburst of Orange, which makes it really exotic. One swipe brings a beautiful peachy coral shade on lips while 2 more swipes give a full-throttle orange. The peach undertones help the orange color to keep it’s calm & do not let it wash out your complexion which might happen with pure Orange shades. Fragrance & Texture The crayon lipstick has a very mild sweet scent, noticeable only if you want to smell it. There is no weird taste. Like SUGAR Lip Crayons has a powdery taste to them. The texture of the lip crayons is impressively creamy. The packaging is flimsy but the product inside is a high-quality lipstick. A bullet is full of color & moisture. I do not need to wear a lip balm beneath this matte lipstick since it is really good in moisturizing my lips on its own. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the lip crayon is good. The first swipe gives opaque finish even to pigmented lips but 2 swipes ensure the true color to show on the lips. When the lipstick is creamy, you anyway can go overboard to soak in some moisture into your lips. Finish Even though the texture is creamy & there is a bit of a shine on to the lips if you look closely, but the overall finish is complete matte. Not the uncomfortable kind of matte, but a beautiful, nourished matte. Longevity Creamy textures do have a tendency to transfer. Even SUGAR Lip Crayons which perform very good in terms of longevity does transfer in the first hour of application. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons would transfer to the coffee cup if you sip some coffee while wearing it. This lip crayon does not have the ability to survive meals in between, little bit snacking can be done. You need to retouch after having a full-fledged meal which is not of a big con to me as 185 bucks are justified with the quality of the product. Likes Beautiful & bold shades in the range. Creamy & moisturizing formula. Olive Oil & Jojoba Oil, present in the crayon, moisturize your lips. Does not accentuate fine lines. Beautiful matte finish. The shade Candid Coral is suitable for all skin tones. After sharpening, it can be used as a lip liner too. Ships with a dual sharpener. Easily available. Very affordable. So small to fit in the palm of your hand. Dislikes Need to sharpen the lip crayon after 2-3 uses. Few colors are repetitive. Summary If you do not mind retouch after having a meal, it is one of the best affordable lip color range from Lakme. The shades are bold & will flatter Indian skin tones (specially curated for Us 🙂 by Lakme). College going girls if you are bored of Elle 18, try these affordable & better performing lip crayons. The longest I have worn it for 3+ hours without retouch or having a meal.
