It’s tricky to use a scrub on oily & acne prone skin. It’s important that we reap the benefit of scrubbing without irritating the already exiting acne on the skin. I have very sensitive skin. Sometimes, herbal scrubs irritate my skin if they are too strong. I received Just Herbs Livelyclean Honey Exfoliating Face Cleansing Gel, in my February Fab Bag. Honestly, I have not used much of the Just Herbs products. So I am not quite a fan of Just Herbs (yet). I was neutral about this cleansing gel cum scrub from Just Herbs too, upon seeing it in the fab bag. So how did it work for me? You will get to know about it in while. Just stick with me…. About Just Herbs Livelyclean Honey Exfoliating Face Cleansing Gel This is a mild cleansing gel from Just Herbs enriched with Neem, Holy Basil & Turmeric, known for their anticeptic properties. This cleanser can be used daily. It contains extracts of Arjuna, Symplocos bark and jojoba meal, which give mild exfoliation unclogging pores. Dead skin is dissolved and so are the impurities with thehelp of Orange Peel, revealing fresh new skin beneath. The product is free from SLES/SLS, PEG/PPG, GMO & other synthetic ingredients. Honey moisturizes your skin while keeping it soft & supple. Price Rs. 425 for 100ml. Ingredients Packaging The product comes in a transparent plastic bottle with golden detailing. The 100ml packaging contains a black pump at the top, while the 50ml packaging does not contain a pump, rather is packed with a screw-in metallic cap at the top. There is also a plastic stopped beneath the cap to avoid any spillage. The bottle contains all the information about the product like, features, ingredients & directions to use the product. How To Use It’s an exfoliating cleansing gel. Hence it’s supposed to be used as a scrub. Apply some amount onto the skin and massage gently for few minutes (approx. 3-4). Then wash your face with plain water. Now, if you are following Just Herbs 6 Step Skin Regimen, you can go on with that, or simply moisturize your skin (like I do) after patting it dry. While you are enjoying the scrubbing action of this cleansing gel, please be really gentle. Because , it has little uneven (herbal) scrubbing particles, so there are chances that you might hurt your skin if use more pressure. Color, Texture & Smell It is a honey based cleanser, so it is honey coloured. In fact the texture is also honey like, little runny but workable. It makes quite good lather for being a herbal product and being free of SLS & SLES. It also smells mostly of Honey. You will notice dark brown colored small scrubbing particles which seem to be the extracts of Arjuna & other herbal elements, posted in the about section. My Experience I have been using it from quite a while. I find it extremely useful, when I want mild scrubbing for my face. Excessive scrubbing is bad for skin, but sometimes, my skin is in a phase where it is dry & flaky. In that situation, Just Herbs Livelyclean Honey Exfoliating Face Cleansing Gel fits the bill perfectly. Honey takes care of the dry spots while flakes are taken away by the herbal scrubbing particles. I am left with fresh & calm skin. The cleansing gel smells of honey, feels like honey & works like honey. Since the product contains herbal ingredients, the scrubbing elements are little uneven in size. When I used it for the very first time, I felt it was bit scratchy, maybe because I was not gentle enough. But later on, I went with a light hand & the scrubbing was fun & effective. There was no unwanted scratches on my face. I have not suffered any breakout that I can attribute to this cleansing gel. If I am gentle with the scrubbing part, my sensitive skin does not get irritated despite of the fact that it contains a lot of herbal ingredients. The price I feel is bit on higher side, but eventually it is very economical since I do not need much of the product for a session. Likes Power packed with all herbal ingredients. Does not contain harmful chemicals like SLS/SLES, PEG/PPG, GMO & other synthetic ingredients. Honey based cleanser. Clears skin of dead cells & impurities. Leaves skin moisturized. Suitable for all skin types. Dislikes Pricey. The uneven scrubbing particles can feel little harsh if you are not careful. I wonder how it lathers so well? Summary : 4.5/5 It’s the very first product from Just herbs, that I have liked from the brand. It is mild (if you are gentle while scrubbing), leaves skin fresh, clean & moisturized. As far I remember my first face wash was from Pond’s only when I started using one during my teenage days. After that I used almost every face wash that Pond’s came out with. I always admire it’s facial cleansers. Today I am going to talk about a very effective cleanser from Pond’s which must be favorite of many girls. Charcoal is a powerful substance, I did not know until I used, Pond’s Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam. It is one hell of a cleanser. It really suck out dirt & oil in just first wash. This is HG cleanser of my little sister, be it any season. About POND’S Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam Pond’s Pure White deep Cleansing Facial Foam is formulated with activated Carbon & Vitamin B3. The black activated carbon helps to absorb dirt & lifts away impurities while deep cleansing pores. It helps to wash away the impurities which causes blemishes and reveals brighter looking skin. The main features of this face wash: It contains Activated Carbon. Easily absorbs & lifts away the Black impurities. Helps to remove the cause of blemishes. Reveals your natural looking pure white skin. Price Rs. 192 for 100 gms. Rs. 99 for 50 gms. Rs. 37 for 20 gms. Buy here. Ingredients Packaging The face wash comes in a black opaque tube with a flip top at the top. There are white & purple accents on the tube giving it an attractive look. At the front of the tube the title of the face wash is printed along with logo of Pond’s. At the back, product information, ingredients & other related information is printed. The packaging is sturdy. The face wash also comes in travel size packaging. Color, Texture & Smell This is a grey colored creamy face wash. The consistency is not runny but spreads & is smooth to touch. It lathers very well. A small pea size of the face wash covers my whole face & neck. I always feel little sensation on my face every time I use this face wash. The face wash, washes away easily leaving skin matte. The face wash smells mild & pleasant. My Experience This is, as I earlier said, is one hell of a cleanser. I just need a pea size amount and few drops of water to make enough lather to cover my face and neck. Apply on my face & massage for a while. I feel little sensation every time I put this face wash on my face. Maybe that’s how the activated carbon works in pulling out impurities, I think. I wash away with plain water revealing squeaky skin behind. My face looks very clear, fresh & bright after use. There is little dryness that I feel afterwords this face wash (actually every face wash from Pond’s, make me run to grab a moisturizer). Clean n Clear or any such light face wash is enough to take care of the dryness. The face wash runs for a long time since very small quantity is required for each application. It is quite economical. Also I have traveled with 20 gms packaging which did not pose any leakage problem to me. Likes Creamy & smooth texture. Lathers very well. Cleans off dirt & oil effectively. Leaves skin matte & clean. Skin feels bright & clear. Affordable, economical & easily available. Dislike My oily skin feels little dry afterwords. But this is not a major con for me. Summary : 4.5/5 I find this face wash to be a great boon for oily skin specially in summer, when we need extra cleansing and matte finish afterwords. The face wash effectively cleanses dirt & oil and keeps skin matte for long hours. This is also affordable & economical as well as comes in many sizes. Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser- The Ultimate Skin Saviour

Hi girls, have you noticed the change in your skin? From last few weeks my oily skin has turned little drier. I generally find some rough and dry patches on my skin after washing with regular AHAGlow Facewash, because, it has got Glycolic Acid, which is supposed to be little drying in nature. So I am back to my all time favourite facewash, Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. It is all skin type creamy cleanser which acts as a mask too… interested in knowing it further? Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser by GALDERMA for all skin types- Mild, non-irritating formula.Softens as it cleans. Gentle skin cleanser removes dirt, excess oil, makeup remover and other impurities without drying the skin. Gentle Skin cleanser is a mild formulation that can be used every day with or without water. Non- Comedogenic ph Balanced Fragrance Free How To Use: Apply the cleanser to the skin and massage gently. You can wither rinse with water and pat dry using a soft towel. Or wipe off the remaining cleanser with a soft tissue or cotton wool. Price: Rs. 215 for 125ml. Texture, Colour & Smell: It is white creamy yet gel-like-consistency cleanser with smooth texture. It spreads on skin easily. The smell is nearly non existent. My Views: I am using this cleanser from 5 years on and off. I generally use it during winters as my oily skin behaves little weird during winters. It develops dry patches. It reacts badly to heavy moisturisers while mild once does not seem to work. A creamy cleanser is the only thing that can keep my skin sane during winters. Starting from the texture, its really creamy and smooth, I wear it as a mask, if I have have dry patches on my skin, and they are gone with the very first application. When used as a mask, this cleanser makes my skin glowy. Sometimes when my skin feels done, even during summers, I apply this cleanser for few minutes and wash with cold water, It makes a big difference. It does not lather at all, which is okay for me as foaming face washes again dries out your skin further. To me, a creamy cleanser should never lather other wise it’s a sham. I sometimes use Cetaphil Cleanser as a makeup remover, when really tired to use one separately. It takes off face makeup easily but waterproof mascaras need little struggle. One bottle of this cleanser runs for more than 2 months when used twice a day. Very little quantity is required for each application. It has never breaks my acne prone skin. Likes: The best creamy consistency, that I have I found in a cleanser. Does its job of cleansing very well. Softens skin to great extent. Takes away the dry patches. Can be used as a face mask to get glowy skin. Can be used as a makeup remover. No weird smell. Suitable for all skin types. Soothes down acne prone skin. No moisturiser required afterwards.
