Face whitening & brightening creams sell like hot cakes in India. If someone really does the math, might really wonder, how come Indians still have olive skin tones? Because a face cream or face wash that claims to whiten skin tone cannot really alter the original shade of skin. So the skin whitening creams are a hoax? No, they are not useless. I am not against using brightening creams. From time to time I too use them depending upon my skin condition. After having a nice experience with Citra Green Tea Spot Less Face Cream, I also tried my hands on Citra Pearl Fair Face Cream. My main intention to buy the cream was to only put it for a review since I was getting a lot of hits for this face cream. I have been testing it from last 2 weeks which I think is a nice time to talk about a skin care product. Let me walk you through the review of this face cream. I shall also tell you why it’s important to use a brightening cream. I really like such creams which take no effort to sink into the skin. Fragrance of the cream is mild & nice but feels artificial. My Experience I have oily, acne prone & sensitive skin. All the hell can break loose in just one application of any skin care product which is not suitable for my skin type. I have had nice experience with the green tea version of the cream, hence picked up this pearl one. Why I need to use a brightening cream? Whitening & brightening are two different terms. Whitening is like you are trying to whiten your skin tone (which is almost impossible unless you go really harsh on your skin), while brightening in skin care refers to the polished version of your skin tone. Removing tan & dead skin from epidermis can really do the trick. Also to get rid of dark spots , is an added advantage when you use a brightening cream. My main concern is the dark spots left behind by frequent acne eruptions. Using a brightening creams is must for me. I like the texture of Citra Pearl Fair Face Cream that is almost similar to Citra Green Tea Face Cream. It is light weight and gets easily absorbed. There is no white cast to be noticed, maybe because there is no SPF as well. There is no heavy feeling or oily residue to be noticed. It feels like it’s the best matte glow & smooth finish to the skin. After one and half an hour I start to feel oily T zone. That I can still bear but it really start irking my skin. It even ignited already dead acne spots. It is like a fuel to acne bacteria. Dreadful. Likes Lightweight texture, non greasy application. Gives matte finish. Nice fragrance. Affordable, economical & easily available. Regular usage helps to even out skin tone. Attractive & travel friendly packaging. Dislikes Aggravates existing acne. Turns skin oily within 2 hours of application. Do I recommend Citra Pearl Fair Face Cream? Normal to Combination skinned beauties who do not suffer from acne eruptions would really love this face cream. Dry skinned girls will not get enough moisture out of this face cream Oily skinned girls with acne, please do not invest in this face cream. I am not going to repurchase this face cream. Citra Pearl Fair Face Cream with Korean Pink Pearl contains quite exotic ingredient. Pearl is generally associated with complexion enhancement. It does work in that field while being affordable & economical. But it is not for every one. If you do not have oily or acne prone skin, you might find it really nice & working for you to great extent. But otherwise stay away from it. After reviewing Citra Pimple Free Green Tea Face Wash I was getting many requests to review the counterpart face cream also. So here I am, writing about Citra Spot Less Fair Face Cream. I got the face wash and cream duo together from a nearby supermarket. What attracted me to the brand? The packaging & the main ingredient – Japanese Green Tea. Plus the brand claims to organic. I use the cream daily after shower in the morning. It’s been like two weeks and I have almost hit the bottom of the tube. It’s time I really conclude my experience and make a decision to buy it again or not. My Experience I have oily, acne prone & sensitive skin. It demands oil free moisture and matte look. Citra face cream really is light weight and sinks into skin within seconds leaving matte finish behind. My skin stays oil free for next 3-4 hours during these monsoon days when my skin turns oily with one hour. So it undoubtedly is a great day cream for oily skin. It gives skin a bright look. Not a white cast but a bright complexion. Though I did not notice much difference in the appearance of my acne scars. But I like how soft my skin feels. It gives just the right amount of moisture to my skin. My skin does not require any other moisturizer. I wish I had gotten this cream few months back when I was looking for a nice day cream. This is one affordable day cream which sans sunscreen, which could be a drawback for few girls. But I like to use SPF free day creams otherwise my skin gets all bumpy. Citra Spot Less Fair Face Cream is very affordable and economical. It has quick absorbing formula, gives matte finish and don’t get me started with the fragrance part.
