Mcaffeine Smooth Jazz Caffeine body butter arrived just on time. I had a bad experience with one of Mcaffeine’s face wash and I was not in much high spirits when I first saw this in my recent Happy Hamper, to be honest. But thank God, it did not disappoint me. The caffeine infused body butter, firstly give a nice aroma. It’s the first thing that brings a faint smile on my lips. As I dip my fingers in the butter it feels velvety. It is actually like a whipped cream which absorbs really fast into skin while giving out nice moisture. Without feeling heavy or sticky, I can carry on with my daily duties and no worries about dryness. I have a habit of washing my hands many times a day, so they get really dry, but this butter really helps to restore the moisture. I do not apply it after every hand wash, but 2-3 times a day I use a dollop of this body butter on my hands. No matter how much I love Nivea Creme for it’s moisture, but you know I get obsessed when I try out something new and impressive. Do I Recommend Mcaffeine Jazz Smooth Caffeine Body Butter? Yes. Mcaffeine Jazz Smooth Caffeine Body Butter is a parabene free body butter which is hydrating yet lightweight. It does not give any oiliness or stickiness. It works well for all skin types. It keeps skin hydrated for long hours. I think it is a nice option since it’s more affordable than TBS body butters which give same performance. I have found that Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter are highly effective in keeping dry skin moisturised and healthy. My Experience No matter how many body lotions I own, I still grab another if I like the packaging and the ingredients. I have something for Cocoa smell. My skin stays moisturised for long hours. I do not need to re apply it until later in the evening. There is no stretchy feeling or dry lines. It does what it promises to do. Likes Contains Cocoa Butter & Wheat Germ Oil. Even though it contains heavy ingredients, it gets absorbed into skin very easily. Skin feels smooth and soft. Skin stays moisturised for long hours. Hypo allergic. Dermatologically tested. Affordable & easily available. Dislikes Since the lotion is little thick it gets little tedious to take out the lotion out of the narrow nozzle sometimes. Also it tends to get deposited within the nozzle and needs to be cleaned every now and then. Summary : 4.75/5 It is a definitely a great body lotion during winter season for all skin types to stay moisturised all day long. It contains the goodness of Cocoa Butter & Wheatgerm Oil. Hi, you all. How are you doing my lovely bees? You up for another body lotion? Okay then. Let’s talk about a non greasy but moisturising body lotion today. Yeah, you read it right, a non greasy body lotion and that too moisturising. It’s from Vaseline. Vaseline makes awesome body lotions, I feel. I pick a Vaseline product without thinking much. Because it’s trusted brand. Let me tell you how I liked this particular body lotion. About Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Non Greasy Body Lotion Vaseline claims about this body lotion is a non greasy formula, but restores very dry skin within 5 days.It contains micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly which is a patent technology by Vaseline. Also it is lightly scented. Ingredients Price Rs. 105 for 100ml. Buy here at discounted price. Packaging It comes in a white sturdy plastic container with flip top. It also comes in a 300ml size bottle. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a white coloured opaque, water based body lotion. It is literally non greasy, I do not feel even a hint of oil/greasiness in this body lotion. It is just like a water based face moisturiser. It is light weight. It gets absorbed really fast because of it’s formulation.The texture is smooth but little powdery. I would describe it’s smell is also powdery sweet, not to my liking. But once applied there are only hints of sweetness, and it does not irritate my other wise sensitive nose glands. My Experience My hands are extremely dry in nature since I have a habit of washing hands so many times through out the day. I mostly use Cocoa based body lotions for intensive moisture for my dry skin. I was not sure if this non greasy formula would be enough for my dry skin. I bought it anyway since I needed a small bottle for travel purpose. I first applied this, on my hands, it just vanished into my skin, like my skin literally drank it. I felt, it’s not going to be enough. But no it was really enough. I tried to draw lines on the back of my hand with nails, but I could not. This is how I test a body lotion. Since most of the body lotions are rich in oils, so I have tendency to find some shine in my skin after applying a body lotion, but there was no such shine. Just smooth and normal looking skin. I continued using this body lotion for about a week on my hands only since they are the most driest part of my body. They did feel smooth and there were no dry lines. Also my laptop keyboard did not had oil stains due to the body lotion which is again a very good thing. Even though I do not like the overly sweet smell of this body lotion, it does not bother me much after wearing it. It goes away within a minute or two. If you like sweet smells you will definitely adore this body lotion. There are no as such negatives of this body lotion, but yeah, I feel skin does not look as healthy as opposed to when I use a rich in moisture formula, like cocoa butter/shea butter /almond oil based body lotion. It is little bit pricey than the regular body lotions. I will use this during summer when you require moisture but without greasiness in AC environment. Likes Non greasy formula. Not a hint of greasiness. Takes away skin dry-ness. Easy and quick absorbing formula. Skin looks & feels smooth. Light smell. Sturdy packaging. Dislikes Little bit pricey than other variant/brands. Summary : 4.5/5 If you detest greasy and oil based body lotions, you can try this fast absorbing, lightly scented and healing body lotion from Vaseline. I have used many products from the Lotus Herbals WHITEGLOW range, day creme, serum, scrub, masque and night cream. Few weeks back I also got the Body Lotion from this range just to test it out. Let’s dive into the details straight away. Lotus Herbals WHITEGLOW Skin Whitening And Brightening Hand And Body Lotion SPF 25 It is a technologically advanced formulation that provides triple action on skin – LIGHTENING, WHITENING & BRIGHTENING with the help of rare fruit and proven plant extracts that penetrate deep into the skin to provide enduring action. The result, your skin looks soft, fair and radiant. LIGHTENS It lightens skin tone by reducing uneven pigmentation. WHITENS It unveils visibly fairer skin by reducing dark spots. BRIGHTENS It enhances skin’s radiance naturally. Price Rs. 295 for 300ml. Ingredients Packaging It comes in a white opaque plastic bottle with pump with lock. Texture, Colour & Smell It is a white creamy lotion with powdery but sweet smell. My Views This won’t be considered a good choice for winter days, but I still got it, just to try out something different. I have already used many products from the Whiteglow range of Lotus Herbals, hence, was confident that it won’t be a dud. I like the texture is very creamy, it spreads easily and also gets absorbed really fast. There is no sticky feeling or oily residue after the body lotion has been absorbed. The moisturising properties of this body lotion are decent. There are no dry lines on hands or body. But dry days & dry skins need intense moisture. Either re-apply it after 2- 3 hours or use something more intense as Vaseline Cocoa Lotion or Joy Body Lotion. I like the intense brightening effect it gives. Maybe because of the SPF it contains, body and hands look little bright. Skin feels smooth and soft too. It keeps the tan away. The smell is little powdery but is sweet and bearable. It goes away pretty soon. Likes It de-tans skin and keeps the tan away. Decent moisturisation even in winter. It contains SPF 25 and protects from UV rays. Spreads and absorbs easily. No stickiness or oily residue. Lockable Pump makes it easy to use. For all skin types. Dislikes Will make a good body lotion for summer but, winter requires heavy body lotions. Summary : 4.5 It is a nice body lotion with SPF 25 for summers. It keeps skin bright and even toned while you are enjoying the summer sun. For winters you should skip this. My Empties : November 2016

Today is month end, and it’s time for the empties post of the month. Have a look at what I managed to finish by November 2016 end. I totally heart Vaseline Cocoa Body Lotion & Joy Body Lotion. They are fabulous in moisturisation and smell nice too. I have already done a a review on Za Perfect Solution Serum. It is fast absorbing, light yet moisturising serum. Clean n Clear oil free moisturizer is my all time favourite moisturizer. But Olay Total Effects, I am never buying it again. My son again grabbed few lippies from my lipstick drawer when I was not around. Few managed to escape but Lakme Red Coat and Fran Wilson Mood Matcher could not survive. Also managed to finish Lakme Absolute Foundation, it’s review is coming up shortly, it’s lying somewhere in drafts. Like the lipsticks, my son also ruined this Miss Gold Eye Palette. It was given by my lovely sister in law. I know she would be heart broken after seeing it like this. But, I am thinking to use it in some lip palette DIY (my upcoming project). I like to smell chocolates and I like to smell like chocolates all day long. Another product with delicious smell. But its just not a nice smelling product it also performs well. Gives deep hydration to dry skin and leaves a healthy glow. Isn’t it great to have so many different body lotions to suit your mood? Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Nourishing Lotion Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Nourishing Lotion leaves your skin feeling soft and glowing. Our 24 hr nourishing formula combines pure cocoa butter + stratys (multi layer moisture). Infusing moisture at the top, core and deep down layers of skin, to ignite it’s natural glow. Price : Rs.65 for 100ml & Rs.230 for 300ml (comes with a pump). Packaging: It comes in a chocolate coloured sturdy plastic bottle. It comes in two sizes. The 100ml pack comes with a flip cap at the top, while the bigger version comes with a pump. The smaller version is travel friendly. Texture, Smell & Colour: Its a cream coloured, creamy lotion with fast absorbing tendency. It smells chocolate-y sweet. My Experience: My body skin turns really dry in the winters. I look around for heavy duty body lotions, but it does not mean that they should be oily or sticky at all. Cocoa Butter is a deep moisturising ingredient which can quench the thirst of dry skin. Vaseline total moisture lotions contains cocoa butter as it’s main ingredient. That’s what attracted me towards this body lotion. I get this body lotion every winter, because, it really hydrates my skin without leaving any greasiness behind and leaves me smelling great. I like the fact that the smell lingers on me even after an hour. It cheers up my mood. When I am not using this, I use either Joy or Nivea. Coming to the after effects, skin stays moisturised for at least 4 hours, and then I re apply it. Even after 4 hours of application, my skin does not feel stretchy or dehydrated. I have noticed, no matter which deep moisturising body lotion I use, I have to re apply it after few hours. My body just drinks up the body lotion no matter how heavy it is. I don’t mind re applying since its not sticky and it smells so great unlike Nivea’s. I have got both the versions of this lotion. It’s convenient to use the pump packaging at home when I apply it after shower. I keep the smaller bottle (the 100ml bottle) in my purse, to be used while I am out. Likes: Great hydrator for dry skin during winter. Contains the goodness of Cocoa Butter, which is a great moisturiser. Dry patches/skin roughness is healed. Smells very nice. Sinks into the skin quickly. Skin glows. Skin stays moisturised for 4-5 hours. No sticky or greasy feeling Convenient packaging. Different sizes available to be used at home and for travel purpose. Winters make you hunt for moisturisers for different purposes. Moisturizer for your skin, moisturizer for your hair, and moisturizer for your body. I can’t stay loyal to a single product. I just get bored if I keep on using same products. I need variance & I like change. Even tough I am very much satisfied with Joy Body Lotion, I still use Nivea Body Milk, I will tell you why. Nivea Nourishing Lotion Body Milk Try NIVEA Nourishing Body Milk Lotion to meet the special needs of very dry skin. This rich and creamy formula with Hydra IQ and Almond Oil deeply moisturises & softens your dry skin effectively. Gives 24 hours moisturization. Price: Rs. 75 for 75ml, Rs. 210 for 200ml. Availability: Available offline & online. Packaging: Comes in a sturdy Nivea signature blue plastic bottle I have always liked the packaging of Nivea’s products. Ingredients: Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, C15 19 Alkane, Alcohol Ethanol 99.9%, Denat. 3.30% with 0.001% Denatonium Benzoate, Glycerine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Dimethicone, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Glyceryl Glucoside, Maris Sal, Sodium Carboner, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparabene, Benzyl Salicylic, Parfum. Texture, Colour & Smell: It is white coloured creamy motion which absorbs quickly without leaving stickiness behind. Smell is not pleasant. Its very chemically. My Views: I like using moisture rich body lotions, but hate the sticky feeling, Nivea Body Milk is such a body lotion which meets this criteria. I like how it gets absorbed into my skin without leaving any oily-ness or stickiness behind as opposed to Joy Body lotion, which needs little rubbing. The consistency of this body lotion feels water based, hence no stickiness. Coming to the effects, it provides hydration to my dry skin to great extent. The skin stays moisturized for 4-5 hours. Then ofcourse I re apply. There is no body lotion, which can keep skin hydrated for 24 hours non stop, until you apply some body oil. I hate the peculiar smell. I loved Nivea Cream’s smell, but don’t know why Nivea gave weird smell to this product. Sometimes its sweet but after notes of the smell are very over powering. Smell matters if you are talking about a Body Lotion. Likes: Provides hydration to dry skin. Water based consistency. No stickiness. Absorbs fast. Skin stays moisturized for 4-5 hours. Travel friendly packaging available. Dislikes: I hate the smell. Since the consistency is water based, more quantity is required each time you out it. Summary: If you can stand the smell, you will love its consistency and hydration. I have loved it to the core. With Joy’s body lotion I did not have that much expectations. I got it last year since it was available in a sample size. When I used Joy’s body lotion, I felt like, its nothing less than Nivea’ body lotion. It is highly moisturising. Texture is smooth & creamy. Smell is heavenly. Absorbs within seconds. Coming to the after effects, skin feels & stay moisturised for 3-4 hours. Then I re-apply if I feel my skin is getting very dry. Skin looks nourished. There are no dry lines/ stretchy feeling. Skin’s texture looks & feels smooth too. Skin glows. I like the fact that this body lotion is available in various sizes. It’s available in 100ml, 300ml & 500ml sizes. Likes: Highly moisturising. Dry skin goes away with first application. Contains goodness of Almond Oil, Honey & Wheatgerm. Makes skin smooth & glowy. Creamy & non sticky consistency. Absorbs fast. Affordable.
