Hi Girls. Am I the only one who is feeling that winter is bidding goodbye? I am just not ready for summers yet. Please God, make this winter season last little longer. I am just not done yet. The lotion is from Himalaya Herbals, our very trusted brand. Himalaya Herbals is one of the oldest Indian brand with huge skin and hair care lines. Also, since his birth, I am using Himalaya’s baby products for Aarav. His skin and hair are healthy. I have found that Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter are highly effective in keeping dry skin moisturised and healthy. Winter makes my hands and body really dry, and I lean on to Cocoa Butter based products to keep it calm. So let me tell you what you can expect from the Cocoa Butter Lotion from Himalaya. About Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion Himalaya says that this lotion targets very dry skin. It moisturises and heals dry skin. The brand claims that this lotion is a luxurious blend of carefully selected botanical that intensively moisturises skin and provides essential nutrition to our skin. The lotion is enriched with HYDRA- NUTRI Balance which works three fold. Hydration– It locks natural moisture within the skin and provides the required nutrition. Also skin’s own ability to absorb moisture and lock it within increases. Nutrition – Cocoa Butter repairs and moisturizes skin while improving skin texture. Wheat Germ Oil – Wheat Germ Oil contains Vitamin E which makes skin more elastic. It is Hypoallergenic which means it has been tested and is not likely to cause any kind of allergy. There is also a cream version of this product which comes in tub packaging. Colour, Texture & Smell Even though the lotion is Cocoa Butter based, but it is not sticky or oily. Once absorbed, there are oily finger stains on my laptop keyboard, only smooth, moisturised and sweet smelling skin. The colour of this lotion is something between off white and white. My Experience No matter how many body lotions I own, I still grab another if I like the packaging and the ingredients. I have something for Cocoa smell. This was another reason I picked this body lotion last year and loved using it. This year too, it made it’s way to my bathroom shelve. The lotion contains really impressive ingredients. Cocoa Butter is known for it’s repairing and moisturising properties. Wheat Germ Oil is another wonderful ingredient which contains Vitamin E providing excellent anti-ageing properties t skin. It definitely is an affordable and effective body lotion. It gets easily absorbed, and is nothing like a heavy oil based body lotion. There is no oily or greasiness afterwords. The lotion is little thick but surprisingly gets absorbed really fast into the skin. It leaves skin moisturised and calm. Moisturised skin looks healthy and glowy. My skin stays moisturised for long hours. I do not need to re apply it until later in the evening. There is no stretchy feeling or dry lines. It does what it promises to do. Likes Contains Cocoa Butter & Wheat Germ Oil. Even though it contains heavy ingredients, it gets absorbed into skin very easily. Skin feels smooth and soft. Skin stays moisturised for long hours. Hypo allergic. Dermatologically tested. Affordable & easily available. Dislikes Since the lotion is little thick it gets little tedious to take out the lotion out of the narrow nozzle sometimes. Also it tends to get deposited within the nozzle and needs to be cleaned every now and then. Hi, you all. How are you doing my lovely bees? You up for another body lotion? Okay then. Let’s talk about a non greasy but moisturising body lotion today. Yeah, you read it right, a non greasy body lotion and that too moisturising. It’s from Vaseline. Vaseline makes awesome body lotions, I feel. I pick a Vaseline product without thinking much. Because it’s trusted brand. Let me tell you how I liked this particular body lotion. About Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Non Greasy Body Lotion Vaseline claims about this body lotion is a non greasy formula, but restores very dry skin within 5 days.It contains micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly which is a patent technology by Vaseline. Also it is lightly scented. Ingredients Price Rs. 105 for 100ml. Buy here at discounted price. Packaging It comes in a white sturdy plastic container with flip top. It also comes in a 300ml size bottle. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a white coloured opaque, water based body lotion. It is literally non greasy, I do not feel even a hint of oil/greasiness in this body lotion. It is just like a water based face moisturiser. It is light weight. It gets absorbed really fast because of it’s formulation.The texture is smooth but little powdery. I would describe it’s smell is also powdery sweet, not to my liking. But once applied there are only hints of sweetness, and it does not irritate my other wise sensitive nose glands. My Experience My hands are extremely dry in nature since I have a habit of washing hands so many times through out the day. I mostly use Cocoa based body lotions for intensive moisture for my dry skin. I was not sure if this non greasy formula would be enough for my dry skin. I bought it anyway since I needed a small bottle for travel purpose. I first applied this, on my hands, it just vanished into my skin, like my skin literally drank it. I felt, it’s not going to be enough. But no it was really enough. I tried to draw lines on the back of my hand with nails, but I could not. This is how I test a body lotion. Since most of the body lotions are rich in oils, so I have tendency to find some shine in my skin after applying a body lotion, but there was no such shine. Just smooth and normal looking skin. I continued using this body lotion for about a week on my hands only since they are the most driest part of my body. They did feel smooth and there were no dry lines. Also my laptop keyboard did not had oil stains due to the body lotion which is again a very good thing. Even though I do not like the overly sweet smell of this body lotion, it does not bother me much after wearing it. It goes away within a minute or two. If you like sweet smells you will definitely adore this body lotion. There are no as such negatives of this body lotion, but yeah, I feel skin does not look as healthy as opposed to when I use a rich in moisture formula, like cocoa butter/shea butter /almond oil based body lotion. It is little bit pricey than the regular body lotions. I will use this during summer when you require moisture but without greasiness in AC environment. Likes Non greasy formula. Not a hint of greasiness. Takes away skin dry-ness. Easy and quick absorbing formula. Skin looks & feels smooth. Light smell. Sturdy packaging. Dislikes Little bit pricey than other variant/brands.
